I've only watched 84 despite watching for years, I love taking it slow though and sometimes take a couple months of break not watching any, how many episodes do you watch in a day?

Other than the nostalgia value, DB/DBZ has almost nothing going for it, the characters are bland, the fight scenes are too long and dragged out, the power system can be summed up in literally one short sentence (Higher powerlevel = win), the powercreep makes no sense, the transformations got boring and repetetive after super saiyan 1, Goku is an even worse protagonist than most popular garbage shounen, Vegeta was the only decent piece of character developement in that shitshow, yet it took hundreds of chapters to get through making it nothing special after all.
Tell me again why does it deserve a spot on best of all time lists ?

I'm not saying it didn't, it was revolutionary for it's time, bringing something new to the table, other mangakas took that thing and greatly expanded on it, but that still isn't enough to make it good, your ideas can inspire others to make greater things out of them, however the original idea itself is flawed as hell and isn't immune to criticism, the DB franchise is one of the most overrated things in media at this point, should've stopped at DBZ and maitain whatever dignity and recognition it had earned up to that point.

why 56 of all number you should have atleast just made it 50.

Remember when watching the classics was a thing before? I don't think there's a single pre-2000 series here.

Sure the original idea may be flawed, nothing is immune to criticism, but I think the feat of being revolutionary for it's time (one of the hallmarks for being a classic), being a huge inspiration for future mangaka, and being one of the shows that popularized anime in the west is enough to cement its place on best of all time lists. I agree it should've stopped at Z, it's a cash cow at this point but its impact alone makes it deserve a spot despite all the shortcomings.
