Eh, there's a reason they're not all your average bumbling idiots, but even with that in mind, the only ones who pull most of the weight are Zack and Kanata.
Luca is good at crafts but I mean that's normal high school kid territory, Charce is a biology autist which also normal high school kid territory. Happens to be useful, but that's still all he's got.
Quitterie has some very basic nurse knowledge, luckily they never really need it.
Aries, Ulgar, and Yunhua and Funicia are pretty much useless.
I don't think it's all that unbelievable at all. Kanata is the only one whose skill set just so happens to be exactly tailored to surviving in the wilderness and not much else, the rest just adapted their normal hobbies to survival use. And even Kanata's survival knowledge isn't all that amazing, but he happens to be a good leader, which again isn't so amazing for someone in a group of high school students to be.
Well that was kinda all over the place, but my point was given the circumstances which have yet to be revealed, the team has just about the balance of skills and competence that you'd expect from them.
