I find it hard to disagree with you.
Code Geass is probably the worst of the fucking bunch. The whole thing is just characters saying all the time what a strategic chess genius the MC is, but then every decision he ever makes is fucking retarded, and shit just falls into his lap. It has some of the worst plot armor in history and it is absolutely one of the most overrated shows of all time.
And I even left out most of the super generic shit. Bleach/Naruto/One Piece/Heroaca/Fairy Tail, All shit just designed to fill DVDs, with no care in the world for quality of content. And people love it. They fucking love it.
The mecha battle scenes are good

Possibly the only redeeming factor. I mean, ALL of the shows I mentioned as terrible have SOME, You have to be a real retard to make a show that's just 100% bad. But I think these are more bad than good, and certainly undeserving of their popularity.
Hell, even Naruto started as a good concept, the Idea of an ostracized kid, in a village full of ninjas? That's a great concept. But then he was forced to also write in a rival and some girls, and instead of one concise story in a couple of Episodes, you get an absolute clusterfuck, drawn out for no reason at all, other than to sell more DVDs of course.
Hell, I love the concept of Mirai Nikki, but the execution of it is so fucking retarded, it physically hurts.

Glad you like it, i know is a series easy to hate since is kinda mainstream and the first 2 seasons have apparently random shit (apparently since in s3 literally explain anything happened in the past and totally forgive both s1 and s2). Is good sometimes see a "mainstream" series that actually deserve all the hype it got.
