What made this series so special?
K-ON
It's fun
/thead
Yui's tights, mainly.
no idea. dropped it after episode 1
Yui’s bare legs > Yui’s tights.
Ritsu was probably my favorite K-On! character, she had a bunch of funny scenes
She like Dark skined dudes
Based Mugi poster
Only black friends, just friends!
Much like Azumanga Daioh before it, K-on actually made a point to show the girls go through their school life to graduation. This created not only a tangible sense of progression but a nostalgic sense of finality to the girls youth.
You could say it's lit[/ spoiler]
Nothing. People who don't usually watch anime happened to watch it by sheer chance and overrated it because it's the only thing they know.
It's the opposite. People who don't usually watch anime avoid it normally because "it's too childish" for them. They better go for shonen and popular series.
It's fine if you wish to believe that, but what I said is what actually happened in the real world when K-ON aired.
Where did this meme originate?
From an infamous doujin
From a doujins , i guess.

Its well written. Its mainly a quality thing when you come down to it.
"People who don't usually watch anime" tend to bounce off it fairly hard. I don't think you realise how strange (and frequently repulsive) its conventions are to most people.
It might be more fruitful to think about what it is that K-On does well that people who'd not normally bother could get a handle on. Its extremely character driven and it actually has some nice lines in (as opposed to the kind of weird shit anime usually thinks is 'funny'). Any comedy writer would be pleased with the scene in the first episode when Yui comes into the music room. Its funny but it does a lot of work as well.
It’s pure blissful nostalgia to careless days of youth. It’s like remembering your favorite birthday or Christmas present.
Some day I’d like to visit the school.
These girls are cuter than k-on girls
It aired between 2006-2010, even bad shows during that period of time are appreciated as great.
no stupid slapstick
girls have natural hair colors
very down to earth
no stupid fucking slapstick shit
God bless K-On. Truly one of it's kind in SoL genre
2nd season and movie are legitimately good cinema
Because of how pointless it is
Nothing happens. There's no meaningful character development, there's no real plot. Kyoani animated a funny little 4panel manga just for the sake of animating it. It's extremely novel and touching how Kyoani poured all of their heart and soul into bringing this inane series of comedy skits to life. It becomes so much more than the sum of it's parts through the sheer willpower of the animators.
I still ship Mugi and Sawa-chan. Sorry, guys.
fun things are after all
She is lesbian.
That's a beautiful way to put it, user.
