How many pull-ups can you do?

I have Ulnar Nerve impingement (from a lot of sports, injuries and unironically gym) in my right side arm. I train combat sports without much issue but heavy lifts are problematic.
It starts hurting quite a bit when I start doing heavy bench press or militar press, and my forearm fatigues easily from a lack of as strength in grip/pull as well.
Any user advice would be greatly appreciated, I've tried physical therapy multiple times but it only calms the pain for s couple of days, then I need to drop the weights.

I got up to 5 in a row in october. I usually do chinups due to elbow issues. I would do 20 interrupted chinups but I stopped my workouts due to schedule changes at work. Now I can do like 2, Im trying stronglifts instead of bodyweight training this time.

Pull-ups or chin-ups or neutral grip pull-ups are good in addition to any program really. Considering that they put your muscles through so much more than something like a push-up they can really be considered weight training anyway.

My problem is that I didn't listen correctly. I thought "3 times a week" meant work the same muscles 3 times a week. I was doing pull ups on the back of some stairs every day. Because you have a shit grip on those surfaces, your wrist and forearm tendons are in a bad place. Also my mom made me life a huge tv right after I was done lifting and it did something to my bicep tendon.

Im trying to add it on the off days but its killing my elbow and I dont want to compromise the stronglifts days. I want to give this program a fair attempt.

I have nothing against any barbell atheletes (for lack of a better term; I'll include powerlifters, weightlifters, bodybuilders, and strongmen here) but the only people who think olympic lifting is dyel probably can't deadlift as much as most people can snatch at a regional meet

Oly lifting isn't dyel, but thinking cleans and jerks are essential exercises is.

Con artists in the fitness industry don't go around pushing 5x5 routines and telling you to lift heavy. There are better starting routines, but cmon now.

I like Wendler's 5/3/1 a lot, personally.

I'd say, for the most part, that linear progression works best for novices, but 5/3/1 works very well as a template and there's tons of good variations out there

On chest day I do both. Bench for size/strength and decline deadstops to build endurance as well as hit the other muscles. Incline dumbbell presses are good for this as well.
