wow wow

Let's see. The translation fucked up the name of the game world and thus the entire idea behide it.
The expansion pack wasn't "Novasphere Pioneers" it was Noosphere. If you don't know what Noosphere is, it's like, in Digimon, the Digital World was made up of Data. The Noosphere is made up of Thoughts. A collective mental space of humanity.
They're virtual worlds in the classical sense of "virtue"

The Noosphere is an occult topic. It goes back classical greek and roman concept. Where thoughts came from Geniuses. A type of angle spirit thing. Thoughts, dreams, inspiration, ect...were cultivated in the Noosphere and given to you via these autonomus entities.
And there's this triangle of Human, Numians, and Loci. Loci being spirits of the land, location.

So what Log Horizon features in the first Season is the relationship between Adventures and "The People of the Land" NPCs. Humans and Loci.
Then in the second season they discover Geniuses are manipulating events.

The Genii are after "Empathiom" they harvest from Adventures, in the same sense that Adventures gathered Gold and Quests from NPCs. Just like the elves produced Gold. The Genii are looking for whoever creates Empathiom.

It's WOAH-OH you fucking moron

Not even worth getting a season 3 desu senpai.

Series goes downhill after where the anime left off. The Chinese server shit is good because Krusty, and newbie raid arc is okay, but everything else is who gives a fuck.

We are in volume 16 though

I can't say I wanted more after S2 put me to sleep, As usual didn't live up to S1 like most anime.

Not happening bro.

It should be illegal to start a story and not finish it. Even if they have to make a single episode ova that says "and they found the magic mcguffin and all returned home the end."

Do you even know what is happening after anime? Also anime s2, especially the later parts weren't really a good adaptation. I remember the song and its effects getting butchered in the anime.

The influence Genii have on Adventures is observed when they the die and go to the moon-server. They have an urge to revive - but they don't have a reason.

This urge is forced upon them by the invisible Genii. On a meta-level, you can almost think of Genii as the real gamers. What are gamers looking for in a game? Empathiom. An emotional experience.
And if MMOs loses their players, the game dies. Right?
That's how I see the Ultimate Conflict of Log Horizon playing out.

And it's a fairly common plot thread used in MMOs, where there's some void or threat of non-existence, which can be overcomed if the adventures keep playing and keep creating new stories.
So Shiro's scribe class would likely be utilized again.
