25 and 26 are supposed to be 23-minutes long. The longer ones are known as 25' and 26' (signifying that they're the DC versions). But they're exactly the same as EoE, so you're not missing anything.

I assume that Episodes 25-26 (SHOW) differ quite a lot from Episodes 25-26 (MOVIE) and is a lot more than simply a remake of those two? so definitely watch 25-26 (SHOW) before watching the movie.

It is the same as EoE by the virtue of being a movie version of the same thing. Simplest explanation is usually the most accurate.

If we want the simple explanation, then being seperate events makes them seperate events as the writers said.

Combining them forces you to try and reconcile too many of the contradictions.
