Anybody else think that the silent voice movie was better than the manga?
I thought that the manga really dragged a lot in most places and the longer it got the more melodrama annoyed me. The movies short duration managed to alleviate my issues with it despite the weaker side characters.

several side characters had little to no character development which turned a solid movie into a shit show

i cant remember the character besides the main two, but i remember one of the side characters (the spiteful girl i think) i felt like was super under developed
i dont know if that was a manga issue or just a movie issue but it really bugged me that they didnt spend more time on her

The manga is kinda shit, but if you take out the chapters 25-45 or so it's somewhat bearable, medicore at best.
The movie didn't include those chapters, thus the movie is superior.
