The problem is the development of these things. The scientific aspect stops being fun because Senku behaves like gary stu. Plus, all the characters are one-dimensional.

Not him, but I thought they story did the stereotypical "shonen powerups" well. Instead of getting a new power because you wished really hard or your friend died, they make plans to proactively create tech, and then that tech helps to create more advanced tech, and so on. Senku being a lanky nerd (who actually needs to use his knowledge) instead of a loudmouthed musclehead is probably also what made some people think Taiju was the protag early on, it's a nice change of pace.

I don't think Senku would care about seeing a girls panties.

I mean if Senku wanted to kill people the series would get very boring very quickly as he steamrolls everyone else with advanced weaponry.

Who knows how far away from camp those grapes were. Before Taiju showed up Senku was focused on the bare minimum for survival, not scouting the land and looking for anything he could possibly find.

Later talking with chrome about how he knows about the ursa minor makes him realize that the earth axis tilted in 3700 years, explaining why his navegation with the sextant was so off. It's fucking shit. The plot is so fucking dumb. If you've read some of the manga, you know that it gets even worse.

Just people trying too hard to fit in. It's shonen and it's got science, so all the newfags feel obligated to beat some dead horses to feel like they belong here instead of actually articulating what they find unappealing about either the art or the writing.
Though it's a bit of a silver lining since all their attempts at trolling have managed to keep the threads bumped, and that visibility is the reason I (and I'm sure some other anons as well) gave it a shot.

I'm just curious to see whether the author will try to critique modern science in a more unbiased way or he will just praise it unconditionally.

Tsukasa is clearly portrayed as the bad guy so far (Senku is a moralfag and thinks murder is never justified), but his criticism of modern civilization isn't wholly unreasonable.

In the end both Senku and Tsukasa are trying to do what's convenient for them: Senku is good at science and so he was well-integrated in modern society, therefore it is in his interest to restore modern civilization; Tsukasa is good at fighting so it makes sense for him to attempt to create a new, more primitive civilization. But the author is probably gonna spin it in a way that makes Senku appear as the one who is in the right without any qualification.

It is though, apart from the conceit of the sci-fi "petrification beam" thing that is required for the entire concept to happen. All the actual science he does unrelated to that is completely legit. It only stretches suspension of disbelief in how quickly he's able to pull most of it off, and how little trial and error we see happen with crafting difficult parts of machines and so on (and even then they include some of that, but it wouldn't be as interesting a story if we had to slog through 4 chapters of getting gears to line up properly).

Don't forget the second wave of newfags who will mistake all screeching for genuine rage, and will start making such poor bait as Trolls trolling trolls, except no one is actually trolling. So just a circle of retards, really.

There are fights, but victory is decided by the adaptability of the characters and not the actual strengths (though if you see a character, say for example take out a few guys with swords using nothing but a spear, it can be expected that his bullshit spear skills won't easily be beat by a bigger sword, but he's still human so you can expect a makeshift cannon to still be stronger)

i don't visit Dr. stone threads, but i lost interest because of the premise involves adding science into the stone age era.

I'm not sure what you're not getting. Senku counted seconds for 3700 years. Taiju can run an 80km double marathon in 5 hours. They exploit their own and each others' strengths to accomplish what they cannot do alone. People = power.

He's a character in his own right, but he also serves well as a plot device (I've met more than one person blaming the system that adults have on why the world is shit, wanting only the young and pure to exist. Childish, but these people really exist). They're currently in the arc where they're trying to figure out the mystery behind the petrification (real antagonist), but I haven't actually been up to date with the manga for the past few weeks so I can't say for certain what happens (but I do know they dropped a shit ton of plot the past few chapters).

I don't usually go into the threads of shows I dropped because tastes differ and I'm not trying to evangelise anybody.
but as you asked, there are six shows I like better than doctor stone on Friday night.
I guess I could watch it later but it didn't make that much of an impression on me.
also the mc kind of annoyed me, there were only doods in the first two eps I watched and I'm not gay, and the premise of turning into rock covered human candy that you melt with alcohol and bring back to life thousands of years in the future seemed kind of dumb.
on the other hand, the drawing was pretty, and I've enjoyed dumber shows in the past.

Why not? It's a talent that Tsukasa exploits. Just like how in making a fire by rubbing sticks together, Senku needs an instrument to help, while Taiju can do it fast enough to cause friction, and Yuzuriha skillful enough to not fuck it up like Senku.

Everyone has different skills that let them do different things in the stone world. With Tsukasa's overwhelming military might, he can decide how things are run, and if Senku wants to oppose him he must create something scientific of equal or greater power than Tsukasa's own natural power.

Nope, just because it's centered around science does not mean characters cannot have exaggerated traits and abilities. In case it wasn't obvious, this isn't real life, it's fiction. Inagaki makes the rules, and in his decree Tsukasa is strong enough to oneshot a lion. Just like Taiju can withstand that same force of a kick and come out fine, and how Yuzuriha can create her own expensive fashion line in less than a day because she's a madman at crafting.

He pretty much says as much in the manga.
The only time that I recall anyone ever calls him a genius to his face, he says that's he's not, because all he did was follow the pre-established steps to get to his goal.

The thing is that the technological line advanced too fast. There is not enough manpower to made those things in that little time frame. And with their tools, it is really hard to believe that they can make something that needs so much accuracy like the vacuum tube.

Also remember that part where they build a tank? It is faster to travel using small boats by the coast considering that they don't even has a proper road in the first place. Lung crepts can mean a lot of things. Without proper history (not even fever in the history) you really can't tell that was cause by an infection. TB is pretty easy to tell just clinically, and it can be ruled out 100% since no one else is getting that nasty bug (TB is pretty infectious among poor community like theirs, so impossible to have no one else coughing their lungs out). I really never see anyone with chronic lung infection for more than a month who either died or cured.

True the part about sulfa drugs is probably some of the weakest stuff in the series. They should have had the patient show more symptoms that would have indicated a more specific set of conditions than just have Senku outright go for it but I think that might have been a bit much for a Shounen. Suicide Island by nature of being a Seinen is more likely to go for a realistic approach due to expectations of it's audience by comparison.

For a story boasting about science, there is actually very little science going on. Most of the plot is about Senku reading off the wikipedia archive he's stored in his mind. The way he tried to find a cure for petrification was probably the most scientific thing he did in the series.
