You'll soon enough find out for yourself. The internal dialogue of characters (especially Kyousuke) should shed a lot of light. There are some things that end up being fat (even excessively so), but this includes properly closing out the top contenders with their final moments (Ayase's tit popping out) before defeat. Seeing the difference between Anime and LN versions of Kirino and Ruri should be the most striking, I'd think.
