Tanya's view on god

Are they justified? Even in a world with a powerful deity like "Being X", would it make sense to still not belief in god.

Especially considering Being X is acting out of pettiness...

Tanya doesn't deny that Being X exists or that it has many of the supernatural powers that people attribute to gods. She denies that it is benevolent or worthy of worship.

Jesus christ you sound like a brainlet, but okay. Yes, Tanya's skepticism is epistemologically sound. She knows nothing of this entity's motives, only that it is powerful, she can't know whether it's God or Devil or anything in between and it is highly costly to gamble. Her further spite and bias against Sonzai X is not necessarily sound but entertaining to watch.

She also doesn't see Being X as the all powerful god of that world.

Claims that someone else is a brainlet while stile repeating the same thing he said without adding anything new.

Fedora-tier.

Nah, a fedora tipper would surrender himself to Being X the moment he opened his mouth. They would drop all their beliefs and pray on their knees like little bitches.

I think the anime gave Being X too much of a center stage; in the LN religion is barely touched upon the further you go.

No. God has no obligation to make your life better.

What about the obligation to fuck people up for reasons so petty as to be deemed human in nature?

When's the movie coming out?

Problem is he nothing better than humans if he cares that much about proving his point.

It touched upon more in the novels than in the anime. The novels have angles discussing their missives, god and the need for woship while shaping the events of the war via divine intervention. That's all cut in the anime and replaced with Sonzai X prodding Tanya for no appearant reason other than to get a reaction out of her.

Then why ought we pray to Him?

Because he's either not real or an egotistical brat which doesn't make him better than any human.

I'm not necessarily talking about the time devoted to them as much as how much their presence permeates the story. Whole reading the LN I tend to forget about Sozai X while in the anime he's always there one way or another.

This is what happens if you don't have any belief. Islam for example has already explain how the world is going to end and when you will meet god. Islam even say that if someone were to claim they are god before the end happens, they are a false god.

Based Islam.

Is Carlo Zen really a commie? From what I've gathered reading volume 4, particular his clarifying footnotes, he has communist sympathies but thinks the Soviet Union to have been incompetent, hypocritical and monstrous, a sentiment which is not that rare among communist circles, to be honest.

Muhammad really wanted to make sure no one would steal his thunder, huh?

Tanya's basically acting like these people. She rejects God because she doesn't like him and he doesn't fit her personal view of what God should be.

Not comparable.

It's already out. You missed it.

I know. I meant the Blu-Ray.

He's not a communist. If anything, he seems far too objective to have any ideological sympathies at all.
>doesn't shit on imperialist Germans, instead portrays them as naive and innocent in comparison to Tanya's brutal modern tactics
Any communist would do the exact opposite, regardless of their stripe.

Empire world conquest when?

Never. They lose and Tanya gets paperclip'd.

Would be way too dissapointing.

I prefer the ending in which she turns into chancellor of the Weirnard Republic and has to avoid Drexter and Hirtler from starting the National Socialist Party.

Political Record is a good fic.

Checked

Haven't read it. I hope it measures up to the LN.

It actually does. It's just a little slow at times because Tanya isn't allowed to do military stuff anymore. Well, at least not officially.

Also the thread is consistently hot garbage due to everyone trying to make fanfics of a fanfic.

It's cool; I honestly dig Tanya's monologues on cooperation, bureaucracy, economics, morality and politics more than actual war scenes. Political squabbles and maneuvering wouldn't be a step down in the slightest. I just hope the author managed to capture Tanya's personality and that he or she is well versed in history and political theory.

Communists and Marxists have this habit of trying to force the peg to fit the square. Meanwhile, I think the more sound thing is to support whatever seems sound.

Cynics would attack this viewpoint as ideological cowardice, but in a post scarcity economy communism becomes a very different thing.

Though I think Carlo Zen's politics are irrelevant in regards to the story, which is like Scott Adams Business Theory meets Modern Warface meets Strike Witches meets Gender Bender

As for Sonzai X I do agree that just because something has power, that doesn't make it good or deserving of worship.

Based reply.

August 23rd I read somewhere

Nice; thanks!
