Why did Reinhard keep this useless fuck around?

Why did Reinhard keep this useless fuck around?
Was it because of his redhead fetish?

didn't he save him in the end tho? He died 5 minutes later of a natural cause but still

Bittenfeld was the most based admiral of all.

He looks like a harmless moron until he charging at you. Reuenthal says something like that later on.

Because he could trust Bittenfeld.

They called him The Wild Boar for a reason. An idiot but will tear through near anyone you put in front of him.

High honor, high power, high loyalty, zero intelligence or wisdom.

Every great leader needs a great grunt

Because while sometimes you need tact and strategy to win, sometimes all you need is a fucking hammer. Case in point, that dumb space river bullshit. All the smart commanders tried to cross in a logical and safe manner, which let Bucock's fleet triangulate where they'd exit the river. But then along comes Bittenfeld, whose reckless suicidally-homicidal advance blind-sided the FPA. Also remember that him letting Yang escape at Amlitser was only half his fault: if Reinhard had just fucking calmed down and reinforced Bittenfeld's fleet, there wouldn't have been a weak spot for Yang to exploit.

There is tactical value to a blind charge. A smart officer won't be able to believe his opponent is just that dumb. Plus his lancers are elite troops that would fall apart without Bittenfeld's lead.

Because he brought results

He was actually a beast when it came to offense. I seem to remember of all people being caught off-guard against Bittenfeld during his rebellion.

>I seem to remember *Reuental of all people
I'm going to bed

he was still good just not as good as the rest

the Yamcha of the group

why do incels love logh so much?

its fucken kino thats why

>talking shit about best boy

Because he wasn't THAT bad, the Black Lancers were still a legitimate threat, he also got smarter as the show went on and at the end I'm pretty sure he takes out an entire FPA fleet by himself (after Fahrenheit or whoever it was failed before him).

Reminder that Bittenfield is a very impulsive man that needs to be kept in check.

Shut the fuck up Uberfail

Did you watch the show? Besides his fuckup in that early battle against the alliance invasion, he usually wins his fights. And he's a very loyal and capable leader of men who has a splid grasp on coordinating his fleet under extreme pressure. Not everybody is le scheming tactical genius.

He utterly fucked Yang over when he killed Fischer in battle, attending the peace negotiation was the only option now that he couldn't move his fleet

How was it a failure? Siegfried Kircheis's death was necessary.

To delay Reinhards conquest of the galaxy, yeah

Bittenfeld is based and fuck anybody who says otherwise. He's a brainlet tactically yes but he's an excellent leader, you never hear of him fucking up coordination or his people being tricky shitheads, there's no question that he's good at fighting and leading the charge, his problem was always shooting his load too early.

His load blowing works at least as often as it fails because he has personally minmaxed his fleet to be a formidable attack force. Half the battle is off the battlefield.
