Anime is just a teaser for manga

Don't be like OP.
>Animay is not adapted from anything
You don't necessarily go into something knowing that - or you might avoid going into something you would otherwise enjoy specifically because of that. It's a problem with the entire industry and it needs to change. Partial adaptations are heaps of garbage; I understand stopping if it fails, but good and/or well-liked works should get fully adapted.
Normally I do know. And anyway, I use anime the way they were intended. If I like what I see, I try out the source material.
>being Japanese
>watching anime
Pick one. The Japanese, as a whole, read a lot of manga, but don't watch a lot of anime.
Ginko a shit
Just read the fucking source material you stupid lazy secondary, if you enjoyed it enough to want another season you should be able to do something as simple as that
>anime is just a teaser for the LN
>the LN only has a machine translation available
>reading animes
>original anime but mediocre
goddammit, i hate it when it happens, specially when it has a nicely designed character
it's been the same with movies for decades my dude.
99% of the time the book is better, longer and sometimes has sequels or a whole series that was never adapted.
We love Ginko here.
Better than being just a teaser for a LN.
I don't think that's really true.
Often the book kinda sucks. The resulting movie could be decent, or it could suck as well. Of course there are good books whose adaption is shit, but overall it's hard to predict.
With manga/LN/VN adaptions it's similar, except I don't know a single example where the show was better than the source.
Sometimes they adapt shit manga, though.
You monster.
>the show was better than the source
GINKO!
Except movies actually finish the story even though they leave out details
The main problem here is that the source material of most animes, the light novels, are utter trash to begin with. Ideally an anime adaption takes plenty of liberties to make it work as anime. For example take a look at Konosuba where they made Aqua the MC for the anime instead of Konosuba and it's a much better thing, just like that.
>Light novel is hotter than the anime
>anime is just an advert for the manga/LN
>the manga/LN are actually good
feelsgoodman
I swear to god I'm not a furfag, but I'd breed with that hamster.
>liking kemonomimi is being a furfag
Save me from this hell.
>manga is a teaser for the anime
>Sequel for original anime changes in
media format.
Fucking shit dude
>stupid lazy secondary
That's where you're wrong friend. I often read the source material for stuff that catches my attention, but that doesn't mean I don't still want a full adaptation. A good adaptation only serves to enhance the presentation of the story.
Plus anime are much more likely to have decent, widely available subtitles than LNs are to have good translations.
> that pic
Is that Ginko? Did she commit a suicide or something?
>read source material because you want another season
>another season is made and you can't enjoy it because you know exactly what happens
>source:my ass
Yeah anime is a commercial for the source material. Did you just figure it now?
Anichart lists what it is adapted from or if it is original. Being ignorant isnt an excuse, really
Knowing it's an adaptation isn't the same as knowing it's going to be an incomplete adaptation. Statistically a full adaptation is unlikely, but my point was that going into a show you don't know how much of the source material is going to be adapted eventually - and thus you don't know that you'll be watching a glorified advertisement.
>Manga visuals=Anime fx
That is redundant.
If its a one cour adaptation where the source is multiple volumes, you can deduce it isn’t going to be a complete adaptation. You have no excuse, user.
