I'm hoping that's it's more of a Madoka movie delving deeper into her character rather than 2 hours of Homura waxing poetically about how much she wants to fuck Madoka and how she's literally Nietzche along with Sayaka being autistic so Homura has to put her down like an old dog. Rebellion was already the Homura movie so it makes sense for Rebellion 2 to be the Madoka Movie.

As excited as I want to get I feel like we’re not even going to get a trailer for three years and then after that we’ll have another year or two to wait. So you’ve got to understand that while everybody is excited about it it’s just kind of hard to be THAT excited when it’s so far into the future.

Nah. The original series was Madoka, the movie is Homura. The sequel, if it actually happens, will be Sayaka. Urobuchi even hinted as much in one of the post-Rebellion interviews.
