Looks like Hina got 3 extra tropes signalling she's being endgame in the last chapter. first is pic related, the love love umbrella trope. two lovers or destined love underneath the same umbrella. She's actually had this one before back in the mountain chapter. second is the tie. the single image of her tying it around Natsuo is classic husband and wife stuff in japan of the wife preparing her husband to go to work. the third is the red string of fate, but i think its iffy since we dont know the color of the tie and while there are examples of a tie being used as a red string, its usually reserved for scarfs.
I wonder how Hina has been to hold back on her feelings for so long. Even in the recent chapters we never once see her doing things with a romantic implication.

Gonna need images to see now Natsuo and Rui react to each other. depending on how they look as they interact with each other will determine if either still have lingering feelings that can be used to lead to a 'Rui vs Hina'.
Personally, i didn't think it will end with Rui vs Hina, and that instead the story would give Rui her own arc of her between Kajita and Alex, while Natsuo and Hina develop with each other, Natsuo gets his writing back, more and more learn about Natsuos relationships.
This chapter could prove Rui will still be a dynamic, or that enough time has passed and She and Natsuo are on platonic terms with no lingering desires to be back together.
regardless, it looks like the new arc will be about Kajita affections to Rui, similar to Miyabis affections to Natsuo. but unlike Miyabis arc when Natsuos affections to her where only shown in one arc and the likely hood of them dating seemed likely in only that one arc, Rui and Kajita have been developing their attractions to each other, in small parts, throughout 80 chapters.
makes me wonder what he'd do if he did win the contest. probobly refuse to go back and use the opportunity to confess.
Because as much as she loves Natsuo, she also loves Rui and feels guilty for not being a good sister in the past, which is why she keeps telling herself she'll be over Natsuo soon and will fully only be a onee-chan, and the only way for her to do something about her lying to herself is either Rui tells her it's okay and no need to hold back anymore, Natsuo makes her break by making her too emotional about their time together or something else drives her to her limit, though the third option is the most difficult one and I only think it'd happen if someone close to their overall triangle, like Mari-san would be the one to make her snap out of it.

i agree on all points except the part of her telling herself she will be over Natsuo soon. She used to, but since the stabbing she cant and i think Mari pointed out that she's lying to herself, and on some occasions its obvious that she knows it.
As for what will snap her out of it, i don't think she will, but only because there is more to suggest that Natsuo will be the one to confess. either because He falls in love with her again naturally, Rui tells him about the lie Hina told, or Natsuo sees the rings and realizes the truth for himself.

I haven't read the translated chapter. but seeing Miyabi with a hair cut is all the proof i needed to know she's done since it means either a 'change of heart' or 'moving on from past love' in Japan.

The only 'between the lines' thing of note is Kajiba and Rui's mutual affection developing. but that was when he was first introduced. the more time Kajiba has gotten, the more obvious it has become that they'll be their own endgame.

Not him, but all Hina wants is for Natsuo to achieve his dream, that's what she wanted since their days on the school roof. That's why she left everything behind, why she lied to him on the island, why she helped him during his recent novel by visiting tanabe, why she asked him to let her carry his dream as it has become a burden for him. It's not that Hina is doing all this to get him, she cares about him far more than a subject of romance. He is just that much important to her. So while it's easily possible for Hina to find her happiness, its pretty much tied to Natsuo's and him achieving his dream. The story is written that way.

Well she does love Natsuo, that's obvious. But everything she has done since moving in doesn't have any romantic inclination. What I mean by that is that it doesn't feel being done with a romantic expectation. Don't think so. If that was the case we could have seen that when she hugged him after hearing him wanting to quit writing. That hug never gave any romantic implication. Also her thinking this isn't really the time to confess isn't illogical. Sure she loves him, but rather than being afraid to confess she doesn't feel like doing so as it's probably not the right time to do so. All she wants right now is to help Natsuo. Even in the recent chapter she only prayed for his bright future. Kei could have easily drawn Hina thinking of herself besides Natsuo in her prayers but she didn't.
