Ikuhara wanted to make a show easy to understand and it ended up being generic as hell. Also, too short, wasted characters, too much filler, foreshadowing that went nowhere, development left for side materials etc.

I too remembered it looking good, until I rewatched it recently and noticed it was pretty fucking budget
