I felt Shirabe's to be rather dull. At least Chris had demonstrated next level revolver loading techniques. Both had shit choreography though.

The only good part of Chris's henshin is after she gets the revolver, and even then it's just gunplay not part of the transformation.

When people talk about Chri's being underwhelming they mean the part where she basically does a fall tumble. The Boob reload and revolvers where cool but they only made up the last few seconds.

The camera work was ABYSMAL, it was too fast, lights/ribbons obstructed view of her body all the time, which might have been to hide how crudely drawn it was (no real details, no skindentation, mediocre shading)

Even the boob reload was just a good idea, but could have been better in execution. You don't actually see her bounce the bullets upwards because the camera just instantly switches from super close up of her chest to bird-eye view.
And finally they ruined BANG too. No boob jiggle, and she wasn't even aiming at the camera. What's the point if the audience doesn't get shot through the heart?

Shirabe's transformation finally put her ice-skating aspect on the foreground and she did some very pretty dancing that matched her personality, while switching to yo-yo at the end to round up the whole thing.
Chris had fucked up camera work and only the boob thing was noteworthy.

Chris should have started with a fun, do a firing pose while another armor piece comes to her which transforms into another gun/missile which she fires again in another pose. Rinse and repeat until she showcases all her kind of weapons and the armor is completed. Then she can do the boob reload.

Zesshou isn't designed to kill you, it's just that it causes you to have an explosion of uncontrolled power that is likely to kill you. Kanade also was in the worst circumstances for it. She was injured, had no linker in her system, so any damage wasn't being mitigated anyway and was always extremely reckless, so wasn't holding back at all.

Everyone else either had good synch ratio, so a lot of the damage was absorbed by the gear itself, or they didn't use their body as the focus and pumped all of it to their armed gear, thus avoiding the catastrophic effect for the most part, with only some minor organ damage leading to things like bleeding eyes.

Moving past S1 to things that are consistent with this,the gaybies are always shown using more LiNKER before zesshouing to suppress the recoil, something Kanade didn't have the option of doing, and their sync rates were always better than hers from the start even though they need to use LiNKER too. As Ver states in G, if it was as simply as injecting LiNKER into someone, you could amass a whole army of Symphogear users easily. The person it's injected into matters too, and Kanade was hot garbage.

It was swords influence that did that to her. Without Tsubasa and singing, she would have thrown herself at noise until she died, purely out of revenge.
