Yeah her monster design is pretty dope but just be warned you’re not going to be very impressed with the transformation animation. It is very obvious that they just use some sort of program to produce AI generated in-between frames so that they didn’t have to actually animate them by hand. I don’t have an issue with the program itself being used because animators use this technique in anime all the time for less important scenes, but when it’s so glaringly obvious that it looks unintentionally tacky it ends up being hilariously bad.

There's glimpses of a really good show in here but I think my main problem is it doesn't go far enough in one direction. Like it's not surreal enough that I can accept a fucking giant bowling themed human hitman suddenly appearing when the rest of the setting has been pretty down to earth (disregarding the youkai that are supposed to be unknown to the common citizen)

The first episode made me feel like I'd be skipping this show since nothing appeared to be very interesting, but this 2nd one was definitely better. The random-ass bowling ball man was a pretty fucking strange decision though, the episode actually managed to build up some atmosphere and then they drop that faggot right in.
This was actually a cool design. Last episode's monsters hadn't impressed me.

So far, as others have said, the enemy design has been the worst part of the series. Its tonally jarring. The series goes through all this effort to make the setting seem serious and straight up heavily redesigned the main characters to be more brooding in personality and serious in their design. And then we get wacky water clown and goofy bowlingball hitman. And then its back to being brooding and serious. It takes me right out of the moment.
