Despite what the recent volume implies about the "head doctor's stand", I refuse to believe this last shot isn't implying that the head doctor is somehow related to Tooru's stand ability. Perhaps Tooru is the actual head doctor and just using the old man projection as a face. They've already set up that he wants something Josuke has. I'm not completely convinced Head Doctor and Tooru are the same person, but it wouldn't surprise me. I truly think the running into inconveniences that trigger wounds later is Tooru's stand's doing. If that's the case, it would make sense that the head doctor moving so fast and appearing instantly is places is actually just Tooru's doing, and not the physical body of the head doctor.

Maybe it could be about the Jojo joining a gang to infiltrate it from the inside but gets thrown into jail after assassinating one of the members. Ok, seriously for anyone too dumb to understand this. Speed King removes the ability for an object to disperse heat. This means that heat in that object will continue to build and build, but without the typical thing that happen to an object when it reaches a certain temperature. Like, bursting into flames. Until you touch that object and all of the built up heat energy is transferred to you. Which will boil you alive as the heat makes it's way through your body. Your organs will liquidate and it only takes a few degrees difference anyway to put you in a coma. Once the brain gets to over 100 degrees, you can suffer serious damage and probably would never wake up. Funny enough, Gappy can counter this already, because he can remove a concept and impart it to something else. So he can remove this extra heat and send it someplace.

I think it was hinted all the way back at Joubin's introduction that he creates heat trap. The first time he attacked a person with heat damage, his Stand never touched the victim. Joubin handed Josuke a tissue and it caused a nosebleed. He then insisted to offer more tissues to Josuke and Josuke refused, finding them all too suspicious.

It's also possible Joubin's stand was difficult to see in action during the Beetle Fight because Joubin created a heat trap at the tip of his brush. He only had to touch the tip of the brush with his regular hand and then use the brush on the beetle. It would have minimized the distance the Stand would travel outside of his body, hence Josuke had a brief glimpse of the Stand but did not actually see it do anything.

I don' t know if I would call it a more overpowered version of KQ just yet. If he can create more then one heat trap, or if it doesn't matter the distance from his stand to build up heat, then yeah, it's better. It would allow Jobin to kill anonymously and with stupid ease. Anything could be your death and Jobin doesn't have to activate it with a switch. The only issue is that he has to be careful what he makes into a heat trap, because the trigger is just touching it. He could kill anyone accidentally.

I think the story was going well and developing naturally up until Blue Hawaii, which is still decent arc story wise, even if it's a shitty battle. Then everything just started dragging on and on with the Rai stuff and Urban Guerilla, which was the prime time for Araki to put stuff in place and develop for the climax, introducing a new character wasn't a great move imo.
