He won't, I think it will be a hugely anticlimactic "let go of revenge" ending, especially with how Miura's been setting up GRIFFIIIIIITH as not even caring about Guts that much and just wanting to suck himself off in his kingdom. Berserk has never relied on asspulls, and like you said you'd have to think of something really retarded for Guts to beat Griffith.
I think the "final battle" will be Guts vs Void or some huge battle royale.

Griffith looks at people as tools, objects. Things to be either used to thrown away, and Guts happened to become his favorite thing, then he didn't know how to handle his favorite thing wanting to be his equal--when things stop doing what you want, you break them.

Guts starts out seeing people as just in the way. Noise. Or he saw everyone as an eventual enemy. It wasn't until his time in the bad of the hawk and being treated with dignity and respect that he began to see things different. He suddenly wanted to be Griffith's equal, his friend.

The whole poetic irony with Griffith going batshit after Guts steps up(by his own advice) and Griffith's ascension is that both their original mentalities became true; Griffith became Guts' enemy and Guts became food, an object.

Yes there is also a lot of homo tension between them, it's very very likely that they're both attracted to the other and don't know how to fucking deal with those feelings
