I like the characters, but the show just wasn't compelling.
I'd watch it if I were drunk with some friends though.

I'd hope if a 3rd series happened it would give people another chance to catch up. It worked for the 2nd series as we maybe had 10 more people here by the end.
Either that or Jakusansei starts getting subs so we have a reason to make threads and maybe get some Ai Mai Mii fans in.

For the most part is can just be seen as a monster of the week sort of thing, where they target a new Arthur with a different power in most episodes.
It's generally just silly and doesn't really care about any overarching story, and got a lot stronger by the mid-point of S1 and carried that to the end of S2. While I just found S1 an fun watch S2 was my AOTS.

If you can understand Japanese every episode is on the Square Enix youtube. There's 83 of them so far.
The majority focus on characters that aren't in the anime but are from the game though.

I assume we only got a season 2 because it was announced at the same time as 1 and was pretty much a split cour.
It at least did well enough for them to not cancel the second one though. I can barely understand anything on bilibili but 221.7万播放 for season 2 suggests a bit of interest.
