There's no hate.
It's just unfortunate that this company has a near monopoly on recruiting web novel authors from the various free-to-read web novel websites. This means the authors are stuck with a "Take it Or Leave It" deal as there aren't too many other strong publishers building up web novel authors.

Yeah, yeah, Shuisha . But Kadokawa seems to have the best editors. I was looking over a light novel from a competitor and vol.4 seemed to contradict some things in vol.3. Sloppy editing. Editors are supposed to prevent the retcon effect when they can so that the light novel has its facts much more solidly presented.

They murdered 3D Furry Funtimes and replaced them with 3D Furry Suckytimes.

>Allows shitty LN adaptations
>Doesn't care about making anime sequels that fans want, thinks of anime as a promotional material to the LN rather than an entirely different sale.
>Ruined Kemono Friends
>Daiz is the CEO

They killed muh shitty 3DCG meme anime ree.

This isn't that bad if you actually like light novels and manga.

Complete adaptations never ever.

>ruin Kancolle
>ruin Kemono Friends

They ruined two of the most popular new franchises both with incredibly passionate and creative fans. Both could reach the status of Touhou if not for retarded corporate greed.

This is exactly why ZUN never allowed Touhou to get official anime.

Attached: [35mm] KanColle - The Movie [1080p] [2F98D8A3].mkv_snapshot_00.13.08_[2017.09.24_19.30.22].png (1920x1080, 3.32M)

Almost a monopoly.
So that means they decide which series get promoted, which one gets anime, and which studio it will go to.
So eventually they garnered hate because some loved series were ignored, never animated, or were animated by studios the fans didn't like.

Kadokawa lives, while KyoAni died.
Thus, Kadokawa is the strongest, and KyoAni is the weakest.

Wasn't this one dead?

>successfully assassinating kyoAni
They're the good guy.

>status of Touhou
So substanceless trash that artists waste their time on just because everyone else is drawing it? Good thing they were killed then. Franchises need to have an actual underlying plot.

Kyoani refused to work with them to produce more Haruhi so it was deserved

My concern with Kadokawa is on how they'll continue to handle the World Witches franchise after Road to Berlin and Luminous Witches.

This should be fucking obvious to anyone caring about the industry. Stop being an actual newfag by asking this shit.

There are others nowadays when it comes to picking up works from shousetsuka ni narou like Overlap and Alphapolis also some of the more smaller publishers but yea even the above mentioned two are no Kadokawa of course but it's still good that there are options.

Oh go away.
Haruhi s3 didn't happen because KyoAni? Please, user, did you forget how popular it was? If Kadokawa had asked KyoAni to do it, and KyoAni refused, would Kadokawa just give up without giving it to another studio? Stop with your crazy stupid theories already.

They're the big publisher with the biggest Western presence. Their streams, pvs and cms are globally available. And while it is DRM cancer they're also directly selling Japanese e-books and manga in the West. Aniplex gets away with lots of stuff, and half the board doesn't know they're part of Sony. And I doubt most Anons even know that Bandai is one of the biggest anime publishers. Kadokawa also adds their logo before all their anime. That's why despite being the smallest of the big publisher you have retards claiming that they have a monopoly. Said retards just aren't aware of the other publishers or that an anime is usually financed by half a dozen companies.

Then import the media you want more of, they aren't creating sequels because adapting new series makes more money. They aren't a charity.

I wouldn't say that they have a monopoly on WN to LN adaptations. There are multiple publishers that do WN -> LN. Kadokawa is just the publisher that pushes the most for anime adaptations. Besides Kadokawa there's Hobby Japan, Softbank, Micro Magazinesha, Shueisha, Earth Star Novels and many more.

I find it hilarious that you blame a company for two situations that are the opposite of each other. What should they have done with KanColle? They don't even own the IP. Pressure Tanaka to step down?
Also, any modern Touhou manga is published by Kadokawa. WaHH is the last official non Kadokawa print material.

They are the good guys actually.
They didnt care about the 3D furries chimpin out when they fired their cult leader even though they lost lots of money because of it. When a company, instead of letting employees misbehave and be assholes because they make lots of money chooses to enforce their principles and ethics, you know they are right.

That's why Kadokawa's stocks and NND subscription plummeted post Tatsuki exodus user.

Nothing against the man up top, I just want to see the assholes responsible for the biggest fuckup of 2017 suffer.

That's how a healthy business runs. It might make some bad decisions but it has to stay afloat.

Fuck Mine and fuck Keroro.

Here's a (you) since you seem to be thirsty.
>enforce their principles and ethics
You mean those ethics where they outright lied about misuse of their IP and all of their FORMER partners dropped them like a hot potato and and exposed their lies?
I hope you don't do this 'record correcting' for free, now that would be pitifull.

The list of their fuck ups is just plain immeasurable

But boy, you just cannot help but laugh as you remember how much money they lost from the backlash
The CEO and board directors resigned from shame
Nissin parted with them and spat on their faces by pairing with Tatsuki
They cannot use the horses anymore with the JRA logo
The creators of KF2 have made a fool out of themselves
Lots of insiders exposed their bullshit

And Kemurikusa is making big bucks

That's not Justice. That's pure divine condemnation at work

Attached: 7ab.jpg (850x890, 128K)

>all of their FORMER partners
No, they didn't. Stop making shit up. It makes you look delusional and like a crossboarding newfag who only uses Yea Forums for drama.
KF2 has a similar production committee with the exception that some of the smaller companies have changed. Besides that Kadokawa still works often with partners like CR, Bushiroad, AT-X or Docomo. Which is something you would know if you were an actual anime fan.
They one dropped by companies like a hot potato was Yaoyorozu who sought investment from China for Kemurikusa. The main investors and owners of Kemurikusa are Global Solutions and Xi Wang, both are Chinese companies.

Fuck of Kadokawa apologist.

Except, that I just laid out facts. Which seems to have really hurt your feelings. Reality isn't gonna change when you cover up your eyes, snowflake-kun.

Attached: capitalism ho.png (800x729, 366K)

>KF2 has a similar production committee
Heh
Not anymore, I bet

Attached: images.jpg (246x205, 10K)

Which reality user?
The sales or the deficit, or both?

They have an at least 1 isekai per season policy.

Their latest financial report says Nico is still losing premium members

>KyoAni refused
They deserved the fire.

I understand that it is hard being semi illiterate, but try to reread . Here I even highlight the important part.
>Kadokawa still works often with partners like CR, Bushiroad, AT-X or Docomo.
Also, while it is true that Kadokawa Dwango (which was the company listen on the TSE) wrote large red numbers in 2019, but if I rememeber correctly the circumstances are a bit special. I'm not an expert in Japanese company financials, so take this with a grain of salt.
The Kadokawa part has been growing and the NND part has been continously falling. Revenue is relatively stable since 2016 (which is bad) and profit is trending downtard since the fusion. The CEO didn't just step down because of KF, even before KF the CEO which came from NND was underperforming while the KDKW part was performing well. Things are usually much more complicated than black and white. Kawakami fucked up his job as a CEO so much, that the Kadokawa part is absorbing Dwango and that the parent company changed its name to Kadokawa from Kadokawa Dwango.

They run fake competitions.

In short: They are dying

Attached: ec4.jpg (1020x797, 254K)

That’s a bad thing how?

Having fun spamming the same image underage edgelord? You've been spamming the same shit since Kyoani as well. Nobody cares.

KanColle is alive and well tho.

Anything bad happening at kdkw is music most divine

Attached: fd1.jpg (1020x797, 103K)

It's on life support by the hardcore waifufags.
Meanwhile Azurlane came in, usurped its throne overnight and still has new players.

NOOOOOOOOO

Most of their businesses are floundering. Customer goodwill is a non-renewable resource.

Can you imagine mobilizing 6000-10000 waifufags after 6 years of service? They just don't let go.
It can mobilize 6000 people to maizuru, the countryside, while Azurlane still struggled with 1000 people at Akiba right in the center of Tokyo. In C96 it has the same old ~1200 circle while Azurlane got 250 after 1 year (KanColle jumped from 800 to 1500 within the same time frame). Maybe KanColle's core fanbases are too strong?

Azurelane is Chinese, user

Its Chinese fanbase is even smaller. The biggest one is Japanese.

See you once the anime airs.

KanColle peaked before its anime aired. I haven't seen the same build up for Azurlane.

Kadokawa has very little actual say in KanColle. They fucked up the anime, but it looks like they're trying to make it right the second time by giving it to their new in-house studio and seemingly giving C2 a bigger role.

Azure Lane grows more irrelevant by the year, and KanColle is still a juggernaut in Japan.

Attached: 1561376014659.jpg (562x1000, 127K)

No shit retard
Kancolle was killed by the anime. Thankyou Kadokawa, thank you

In the west maybe. But in Japan, it had dominated comiket until FGO became successful.

Attached: firefox_2019-07-21_18-02-10.png (912x347, 102K)

No shit, retard
The fans disowned the anime and just followed their own fan culture.

Look at it's game activity or whatever.
Someone posted how the anime caused a sharp decline. I don't really care about kc though

No, they're publishing section shows growth and Dwango has become so unimportant that it isn't able to stop their growth. Also, their current plan is solid.
More multimedia projects as well as inhouse mobages are going to boost income. I can't stand gacha trash, but it is extremely profitable. And they have enough IPs for multiple mobages.

Only starting this late with the creation of inhouse animation studios is one of the biggest failures of Kadokawa. With an inhouse studio they can give their authors more control, and don't need to deal with nearly as much bureaucracy. I hope that this will lead to a Yotsubato! anime, since they can give Azuma-sensei complete creative control.

I wouldn't say they are the juggernaut still.

That was the Gunpowder Warfare or whatever it is called event, which is for military girl porn. For the biggest general porn I mean doujin fest which is Comiket, they lost to FGO last year and never recovered.

While the game itself is strong, its influence in the culture is waning. All the new KC porn are garbage since the good artists went to draw FGO.

Jan 2015: We make $2B a year
Jan 2019: We make $1.5B a year, we are completely leaderless, we are blacklisted by companies 10x our size and Nico, which is responsible for 20% of our profits are tethering. All because of 1 tweet

>growth

Attached: 3e9.png (680x680, 896K)

Oh? I thought you talked about the franchise as a whole since we're in Kadokawa thread. Yeah, game is shit (a lot of masocists still plays it tho) but the franchise is still intact.

Not really, there are still a lot of douhinshis with good quality but majority of them are now non-h and will never be scanned. You can't really reduce this subculture to porn-dump only.

That number is from publishing section??

Niconico was a mistake. Shouldn't have merged with them.

Attached: firefox_2019-07-21_18-22-01.png (817x499, 31K)

No, he made that number up. The only thing that's even close to the number is revenue. He even used USD for a JP company which is beyond retarded.

Attached: Kadokawa Dwango revenue USD.png (948x66, 3K)

They don't allow doujin games of it which sucks big time.

>they lost to FGO last year and never recovered.
This is partly because of FGO's growing female audience. KanColle can't offer fujos anything, while FGO keeps adding sexy men. I won't deny that KanColle's popularity has waned, but it's still hanging onto the top 3 of Comiket. And it's unlikely to fall much further since it has little competition with the military otaku audience.

Not everyone is as brave and open-minded and ZUN. But yeah that might be the case.

For people interested, here's the company after the recent reorganization.

Attached: Kadokawa new structure.png (1440x1080, 210K)

Then you are making nothing more than bullshit if you say that Yaoyorozu was dropped like an hot potato when you have a lot of Japanese companies collaborating really hard with Kemurikusa, the most clear example is Nissin, a company that is much bigger and much more important for the Japanese people than the formerly called Kadokawa-Dwango Corporation.
Also, Nissin contacted Fukuhara on July of last year, saying that they wanted to make a collaboration with Kemurikusa and I must inform you that this was a time when the only know thing about the TV series was a key visual with Rin (the main character), the name of the series and that is was based on the old short of the same name, so Nissin went completely blind on that collaboration thanks to his faith on and previous good experience with Tatsuki. And behold, that collaboration really worked, with reports of the Tsukimi soba sold out on some stores little after the airing of that video collaboration. Also, the name Kiiro soba was decided by an higher up of Nissin.
If you put apart Nissin, then you have companies like Goodsmile showing a prototype of a Nendoroid of Rin on the Winter Wonder Festival when the series was still at the middle of its airing or also the Animate Group with Animate and Gamers heavily involved with the promotion of the series on their magazines and the Blu-ray release events with the voice actress being held at their stores, plus the Animate × Good Smile x Kemurikusa Collaboration Cafe starting a few days after the end of the series.
Also, you have Bandai releasing a lot of merchandise, Movic distributing the Blu-ray volumes, Avex Pictures distributing the ED song and the BGM, Tokyo MX giving for free some minutes of air time to Tatsuki without him asking to air Kefuku-san on Februray of last year, thing that paid out because they got to be the first to make the television broadcasts for Kemurikusa, Lawson putting on sale bromide prints even before the series started airing

I consider touhou dead even though they still have a fair share at comiket and has their own yearly event. It is because touhou is irrelevant for those outside the circle. I don't want kancolle to become another touhou.

It's a business, right? Your business partners are antogonizing each other doesn't mean you heve to pick side. Lawson still collaborates with Kadokawa and Goodsmile still makes Kadokawa's franchise goods, for example.

Damn, the web service section is dying. Couldn't they cut loss right there to save the other parts?

Kodansha doesn't give a fuck.

I was rebutting the guy saying that Yaoyorozu was dropped like an hot potato, when the reality is that they became after sought by a lot of Japanese companies, I think the only ones here being blacklisted are Kadokawa, TV Tokyo, AGN and AT-X by part of Yaoyorozu, although it seems they were compassionate enough to still collaborate with Nicovideo, but this was more a product of tradition and from popular clamour of wanting to see Kemurikusa on live streams on Nicovideo, the last one getting 100000 unique watchers and an nearly perfect rating.

Nonco is drawing something else right now although he occassionally still post KC stuff on twitter.

Yume no owari is the only one who still draw cute KC stuff. All the serious ongoing doujin KC is approaching their end.

Because he just turned pro.
pocket.shonenmagazine.com/episode/10834108156662799954
Nonco can come back and make doujin when he is free from that stuff.

Biri came back after went to FGO last comiket.

Deco's still making more and more doujins.

>Yaoyorozu was dropped like an hot potato when you have a lot of Japanese companies collaborating really hard with Kemurikusa
Context matters, you should reread the post chain. Here let me highlight it for you.
>all of their FORMER partners dropped them like a hot potato
>The one dropped by companies like a hot potato was Yaoyorozu
The line was in response to a post talking about FORMER partners. Context matters!
They didn't partner with anyone from the KF committee after the break-up. I never said that no JP company is willing to work with them again.
Also, since Kemurikusa is owned by the committee which is headed by Chinese companies it's incorrect to say that JP companies are just partnering with Yaoyorozu for Kemurikusa merch and advertisements. They partnered with the Kemurikusa production committee. Yaoyorozu is part of the committee. But we don't know what they exactly own.
To be specific, here's the committee (ordered by importance):
1. Global Solutions
2. Xi Wang
3. BS Fuji
4. Yaoyorozu
5. Strawberry Meets Pictures
6. Tsubasa Entertainement
7. ibis capital partners
8. UHB: Hokaido Broadcasting

Actually, that was from the Stocks
I don't know where you got that number though

>MAGES.
Their resourcing manager is a cutie pie

Attached: ttl_recruit-staff-management.png (760x375, 108K)

>ordered by importance
I don't think you understand what "importance" mean, user
Yaoyozoru can easily leave that and find someone else should they find the contract unattractive enough. And they are taking the IP with them

Attached: 1420543340574.jpg (210x187, 9K)

yakuza

I am giddy for another showdown with whatever Kadokawa has against Keifuku anime or Kemurikusa 2.

>killed Haruhi
>killed Kantai Collection
>killed Kemono Friends (although it looks like TV Tokyo is more at fault)

>actually thinking Kadokawa has any say in KanColle
>actually thinking Kadokawa can force Tanigawa to write new Haruhi volumes

Kadokawa easily could have adapted the existing Haruhi novels if they wanted to.

Kadokawa isn't KyoAni.

Yes? They decided who gets to animate KanColle and they gave it to the most incompetent ones because it was just an advertisement for the game

lo and behold, it killed the game

Except that the game is still alive and their collaboration events keep getting bigger and bigger. For fuck's sake they made a festival around an obscure seaplane and made dough out of it. KanColle on ICE was a great success and now a ridiculous KanColle Circus is sold out.

And where does the World Witches franchise fall into?

It's not getting bigger, you dork
It's game have been getting less and less active players and so have its activity on Comiket

Go make an account on KanColle right now, I dare you.
You would instantly be on the top 1/4 players because all the rest have been inactive for a long time.

If that were true I'd be able to rank from EOs alone.

Unless of course they deleted the accounts
I quit that game for years.

>for years
Then you have no right to say shit about how it is right now you fucking retard. I bet you don't even know about super kuso mode or any of the changes in the past year.

Just tell me what rank your new account is and be done with it.

So you hate them because they’re good? retard.

Based.

I find LNs to be pretty brow medium of nip entertainment. It's all the cliches and recycled plot points with hardly any of the art that draws me to manga and anime, often written by a novice and reads pretty poorly. There are a few exceptions, what normally gets adapted is pretty bad.

LN authors are treated low for good reason, user.
Kadokawa's specialization in LNs is not something one can be proud off. Would you be proud of being a garbage man, even if it pays more than teachers?

If you played it at all you'd know 99% of people idlecolle outside of event months.

>literally keeps the streets from filling up with garbage
>being embarrassed of performing a vital social duty
user...

It is associated with filth, idiot.
No one dreams to be a mortician, or a plumber, or a pig farmer, or a street sweeper.

We all know it is vital but no one wants it for good reason.

Funny thing is that garbage men keeps the garbage out
LN publishers are putting the garbage on the streets

OH NO NO NO
THAT MEANS DWANGO IS PART OF KADOKAWA NOW, THEY ARE NO LONGER MERGED
KADOKAWA OWNS THEM NOW

>LN bad
Try thinking retards, the LN is just a label so people can see that they are anime like novels.
Go read old literature and see how full of shit and wishfullfillment it actually is.

>its influence in the culture is waning.
Just need another Shimakaze or Kashima.

More like they haven't said anything about that and no one bothered to try making one.

By who? the ones that hate reading and anime?

You can easily enjoy both LNs and literature separately, but comparing the two? Come on, user. Tell me how Hemingway is wish-fulfillment, please.

>Go read old literature and see how full of shit and wishfullfillment it actually is.
That's because you don't read anything else but your trashy LNs
Literary works actually demands experience in Creative Writting and its authors have
first hand experiences over the things they are writing about

Tolkien was a WW1 vet, Frodo was his self-insert and Sam was the vets who carried him.
Lovecraft suffered tremendous isolation and poverty, the uncaring world he lived in created his mythos about powerful horrors that are just apathetic. His self-insert are the scientists who enjoys calling out racist slurs.
Sherlock Holme's author was a geniune investigator who solved crimes the cops can't.
How to Kill a Mockingbird was written by a woman who unironically said that it was all written simply for the money. She knows what sells and had a great eye on the shifting culture and pandered hard

Being the author of a REAL book is faaaaaaar more challenging than the steamy LN bullcrap that some sad slob vomited in some website then got adapted because his fellow keen loved his slimy, sticky, puss of gangreneous criptids.

Attached: 1425613204757.jpg (401x385, 78K)

The only LNs that actually stands out in my eye are stuff like Tanya and....nothing else really.
It's the only smart thing I've read and the writing style could easily pass off as comparable to an actual novel.

LN authors also have life experiences, money woes and way more angst than any western writers, now what?
Yeah nothing, you hate LNs because it has girls and action in it like the Yea Forumsermin you are.

Shut the fuck up, brainlet and read a book.
A REAL BOOK

>there aren't too many other strong publishers building up web novel authors.
Oh no, Kadokawa is taking on financial risk while giving web novel authors a chance they wouldn't have otherwise gotten! What nazis!

LNs are real books and novels, deal with it.

After several major fuckups they lost all power in the executive board.

>FromSoft
Dropped

Shakugan no Shana.

It has a lot of chuuni stuff with some Buddhism reference. Not the kind that baka gaijin can understand.

Yeah because everyone on Yea Forums still talking about it. Even the fringe /jp/ board doesn't fill with 2hu like the old times.

Which 2hu would you fuck, Yea Forums?

>Yearly
It's bi-annual
>It is because touhou is irrelevant for those outside the circle
It's quite popular among little girls in particular

>Even the fringe /jp/ board doesn't fill with 2hu like the old times.
There's over 30 touhou threads on /jp/ at this very moment. Many more but I stopped counting because I don't see the point. It might not fill "like the old times" but it still fills all the same.

The problem with your comment is that lacks inline context, so it can be easily misconstrued or taken out of context, so that is like writing a long Wikipedia article with a long list of citations, but the article is without inline citations, so they became completely moot. So you should have used a better construction like "KFPA tried to ostracize Yaoyorozu from the Kemono Friends anime", not the missleading hot potato thing. Also, we do not know what happened, because we have not seen a detailed criminal investigation report by the Japanese judiciary about what happened behind the scenes, but seeing how both JRA and Nissin, companies much bigger and much more important than Kadokawa, saw themselves on the obligation of publishing announcements about clarifying that they were on the clear and that they did nothing illegal, wrong or outside of the normal with Kemofure and then some time after Nissin hurried themselves to collaborate with Kemurikusa and as consequence a second time with Tatsuki and that KFP and related companies have broken the laws several times on the Kemofure project, then this paints the picture that the real baddies here are KFP and the top companies like Kadokawa, TV Tokyo and AGN, so they were the ones throwing Yaoyorozu under the bus. And it is also perfectly logical that Yaoyorozu do not want to work ever again with the companies that backstabbed them.

Also, you continue spewing bullshit and talking without knowing jackshit with jewels like Yaoyorozu Kemurikusa Project aka YKP is headed by Chinese companies. If you paid attention to the copyright disclaimer of Kemurikusa on whatever thing like, for example, merchandise, you will see two names YKP and Just Pro or or one of the two. Now I must inform you that the animation studio Yaoyorozu and the recording studio S-tar Seven are whole owned subsidiaries of the Japanese production company Just Pro. Also, Tatsuki is credited as the original creator of Kemurikusa both the old and the new and he has been a worker of Yaoyorozu since his foundation, so the ones owning the IP and having control over it are both Tatsuki and Yaoyorozu/Just Pro.
Those Chinese companies are on YKP only to have a stake on the project, think of it like Crunchyroll on KFPA where they do not play a big role, but thanks to being part of that committee they have total control of the distribution rights on streaming outside Asia, so those Chinese companies are on YKP to secure for themselves the exclusivity of Kemurikusa on the Chinese market. Then the way to explain YKP and Kemurikusa is taking Hideaki Anno/Neon Genesis Evangelion/Khara/Project Eva as an example, where Tatsuki is Hideaki Anno, Kemurikusa is Neon Genesis Evangelion, Yaoyorozu/Just Pro is Khara and YKP is Project Eva, that is, YKP is the production committee, but the ones ruling on the committee is Tatsuki/Yaoyorozu/Just Pro like Hideaki Anno/Khara does with the whole Evangelion franchise.

Rinnosuke
