>be Svan
>have super senses
>keep hearing girl you like wanking off to another guy all night long
Is Svan ultimate cuck material?
There was already a thread for this.
Does this not continue up to when Shirou and Rin become students?
>Reines is drinking for two
How did she get Waver to knock her up?
Was it forced?
Correct, there was.
No, this happens before FSN. Shirou and Rin are still in Japan.
So is he a dog(or whatever) turned human?
It's before 5th HGW.
What's her deal?
What happens to Waver and Reines by the time Rin and Shirou come here?
They have a kid
Why does she sit like that?
>mahou shoujo cosplayer
>wrestler ojousama
>filler-like, kid adventure plot
>muh HGW
yep, that's Fate alright
Why does she dress like some chuuni goth girl?
There is no official work covering Shirou and Rin's Clock Tower adventures.
>That after credits scene
PLEASE BAZETT NEXT EPISODE PLEASE
>Le Chien
What the fuck fatetards, explain yourself. His name sounds more like Lucian or Lucien.
They're still around.
Bestial magecraft, and he has a particularly strong affinity for it.
Thats not his name
His name is Svin. Flat calls him Le Chien which means dog in french I think.
Is this how Luvia normally behaves? Quite different from the impression she gave in Case Files volume 1. Was she just acting tough then because of danger level?
Chien is French for dog. That's the nickname Flat gave him.
His name is Svin. Flat just calls him that because of his beast magic which turns him into a wolf. Le Chien means dog in French and I think Flat is French
Which other magus can Waver beat 1v1?
she browsed too much /cgl/
Yes
Probably children? Waver has a very weak magical crest. His only advantage is a godly understanding of how magic works.
Almost any average mage. All of his students, for sure.
>literally jobbed to a oversized bunny this episode
L O N D O N adaption when?
Is this /fa/?
Shirou without his reality marble
That seems like easy money, how have they not cashed in on this yet?
What spells can he even use? Can he even use any defensive magic at all? Shoot a fireball or lightning bolt?
>implying Shirou wouldn't beat the shit out of him with a reinforced poster
because there's still holy grail wars and gacha to be milked
Shirou before 5th war sure, but after it he can project noble phantasms. What Waver can do against them?
Why the hell did he go to the sewer by himself then. He knows he's a toddler-level mage.
Shirou can just trace something and stab him with it. Whats waver going to do? Its not like he even knows martial arts.
He was infected with dumbass by Alexander.
His cigars are actually mystic codes but they probably don't do super impressive things.
Shirou before the 5th war could only use magic to help him fix broken appliances. That doesnt even count.
Carbon Monoxide
Shirou can into reality marbles and this sort of shit gets you a sealing designation.
He could turn paper poster into equivalent of metal pipe for what it counts.
he is described as a Jobber who does not even try, but given his knowledge level if he really tried , with a little bit preparation he should be able to stand or even win against low-level magicians.
>tfw just trying to mine magical bitcoins all the way to the root when dr faggot holmes and his underage brigade shows up and arrests you
thats the thing, waver is almost never shown using any magic at all so what can he even do in a fight, with magic?
Why is Waver such a shitter?
>electricity
>a rodent
>blue
The Fate x Sonic crossover I wrote all those years ago is finally happening!!!
crestlets, when will they learn?
Bad genetics.
>summoning a horde of pikachus
based Lightning God
top writing
Because Nasu doesn't care about that shit. In his opinion their story is done.
Should have been born in a better family
He's the third generation of a magical family that exist only because his grandma fucked a mage who told her how to cast spells during pillow talk. He's not even related to that mage. So his crest is weak even for a third generation. The only reason he can do anything is because of how well he understands magic. In the first novels he understands Luvia's magic in an instant and teaches her how to make it stronger so they can escape, since before that she was just relying on the brute strenght of her crest. It's why she is there to take his class
Can Caules beat Waver? Also is Caules going to need a Wheelchair like his sister?
...I was pretty excited for this show (since I've loved Fate/ since...forever) but something about it is lacking. Am I the only one feeling this?
Don't know if it's the voices (Flat's mostly, is irritating as hell) or the 'monster of the week' plot, or. What.
The first EP and the OVA are GOAT, by the way.
>Can Caules beat Waver?
Definitely. He uses electric magecraft kinda like Fran
>Also is Caules going to need a Wheelchair like his sister?
No since his magic circuits aren't fucked up like his sister's.
The real story doesn't even start until episode 6 or so. These episodes are just "filler" to present the characters.
The only thing Caules can beat is his meat to the poster of not-Fran
Theres not enough Reine. We need a series where Reine is the MC. Watching her daily routine would be fantastic.
>wake up
>have breakfast
>decide whether to go bother Waver today
It would be glorious. 13 episodes of Reine trolling Waver and teasing Gray.
Waver doesn't even have a magic crest, which makes sense given his family history. This is actually a plot point in the Adra Castle novel, where the castle guardian is able to disable magic crests just by roaring.
I love tiny hats.
A threesome is fine too.
>"filler" to present the characters
Shit sux. I wish they'd present the show with the assumption its watchers have read the LNs and just let characters introduce themselves via plot...if that makes any sense.
Semi OT (?) but I don't really like the way they re-explain concepts in show either. E.g. the convo snippet between Reines & the old guy over the HGW; just feels really pointless.
Do they play up the whole "Magic Destroyer" nickname he gets in the part they skiped(I only read the english scans of the manga). It's why most mages seem to hate him since he removes all the mystery from their magic.
>It's too hot with them hugging me
>Gray's hair is kind of itchy
>I don't like Reines' perfume, what even is that scent?
>I wish I were playing video games
I will never not be mad about how they turned Reines into another one of FGO's cumsluts.
>not a single OHOHO this episode
boo
>nigger x blonde girl
Not you too Japan.
I mean technically they are in England
And despite the whole "mystery makes magic more powerful" shit, waver consistently demonstrates that the opposite is true. He helped Luvia power up by deconstructing how her magic worked for example. She didnt receive a debuff from that.
who cares general-kun
Quintessentially British
>implying she wasn't already a cumslut
>clearly finds workshop using traditional tracking methods
>suddenly pulls out whole bunch of bullshit about electricity consumption and news articles about missing people that clearly existed before, but were never even brought up to the audience
In terms of being a mystery series, the writing is fucking weak.
Well, it's London, so...
I guess you're not a britbong aren't you?
Brits gonna brit
That stuff was to show him that he was gonna be discovered by the normies and that's why the Clock Tower was placing him under arrest. Waver could not have done shit to him if he was being more discreet because the CT would not care
The other shit was to prove that he was practicing magic in an obvious manner, he's at risk of breaking the masquerade.
That's the proof he needed to make the CT see he could be discovered easily by muggles. Mages take their mystery very seriously.
couldnt he use boundary fields or whatever to stop muggles from finding his workshop? Like, the einzbern forest has one so muggles just get lost.
How many black dicks has Reines taken?
Many, I hope.
Why do you think Waver called him an "average mage"?
He's already in the sewers. It's not like people will walk into the sewers willy-nilly.
Yes. She pinned him down and raped him because Waver is too much of a faggot to reproduce any other way.
Weaponized autism.
She's so tiny and thigh.
Got to cover the basis that someone knows fuck all about fate and chooses this as their start point.
It's good to know there are people of taste even in fateshit threads.
Why did we stop getting translations of the manga?
That's where you are wrong bitch nigga. Everyone will pay for Waver's sweet boypussy.
She doesn't take dicks you fool she pays other people to dick Waver for her entertainment.
It's just a slow TL.
The Escardos is said to be a mediterranean coast family, and a quick search shows "Escardo" to be a spaniard last name.
So there you go, Iberian Autismo the wizard.
She takes my dick
>tfw Gray will never lovingly call you shishou
Flatt is from Monaco you dunts
>dunts
She has a mystic eye right?
>tfw Gray is just another saberface
At least she's one of the few saberfaces that have reason behind being one.
Greiba
Why was there a half a year break between ep 1 and 2, but only a few days between 2 and 3?
Must be some new kind of curse, watch out.
What you call episode 1 is actually episode 0, a pilot, a proof of concept.
Not a reason. Just an explanation to disguise the real reason, which is the need to have a saber in every possible setting because people LOVE it, apparently.
How old and small is Gray? She is the cutest saberface.
If you go by Strange Fake, which is on an entirely separate timeline from CF/FSN, Waver is still a teacher, Grey and Flat is still sticking with him like a bunch of unemployed loser.
Seriously, why is Grey and Flat still sticking with Waver, shouldn't they graduated already?
Yeah, that's why she's relevant in the Rail Zeppelin case.
They want to fuck him, duh.
Magus ain't shit.
Why is she such a dork desu
15-ish.
Absolutely retarded. He willingly participated in a battle royale. It's not like he was assassinated cowardly or died in an accident.
autism
Gray literally has nowhere to return to, and she is happiest being by Waver's side. Flat is just Flat and does as he pleases. I'm fairly sure that Waver doesn't feel like it's safe to let Flat out into the wild, and has intentionally prevented him from "graduating" for that long.
>It's not like he was assassinated cowardly
Uhh.
Yeah, no, he wasn't assassinated at home marking his pupils' homework, etc.
>which is on an entirely separate timeline from CF/FSN
I mean, you can safely treat more than 90% of the events leading up to Strange Fake as events in Stay Night's future, since that was Narita's intention and Nasu just veto'd it because of some inconsistencies with some Dead Apostle lore
>why is Grey and Flat still sticking with Waver, shouldn't they graduated already?
Both have shitty families they don't care about coming back to. In Flat's case, he's got no real interest in research and he'd rather stick around with what's essentially his adopted dad. For Gray, she's Waver's bodyguard besides his student, and in any case she's a first gen mage, it would be in her best interest to start up a branch family rathern than isolate herself in research.
Magism
154cm
Nobody is saying he didn't deserve getting wrecked. Just that it's a shame that he got himself killed without achieving anything, and actually ended up setting back his family. As retarded as F/Z portrayed Kayneth, he was technically an extremely accomplished and talented mage.
>Gordes' brat at the end
>getting btfo by a giant rat
That's pathetic
The retardation of the circumstances surrounding his death is irrelevant, it was still a waste of a top tier researcher. Everyone knows Fastwheels had it coming, but still.
>Grey will eventually become one of the Archibalds
Nice.
wut, he died in a straight fight against Gilgamesh.
The talk was about Kayneth's death.
user, are you ok?
We talkin about Fastwheel here.
Ah yes, the duel between Fastwheels and the King of Heroes was truly a sight to behold.
Who is this semen demon and why does she have such a weeb design?
and does she have doujins
I can't believe Gil almost lost that one.
Her name is Waiferina von Waifu and she's an eccentric waifu.
Was Luvia actually there when Shirou was doing the bar jump?
Just because he managed to block 3 rounds from the GoB doesn't mean he almost won.
>please hold me!
wtf bros, Waver's too popular
Volumen Hydrargyrum was royal guarding all of Gils shitty weaponry too, it was rad.
God i wish i were a professor
We always knew that he was super popular among female (and some male) students in the Clock Tower. It's too bad he's gay.
In prisma.
I mean it was futile in the end, but Gilgamesh sure looked rattled by the mercury counterplay.
She wants Waver to give her skull a death grip?
He would be?
Didn't Gil need to use EA to pierce through volumen and finally defeat Kayneth?
I was referring to that one part when Fastwheels turned Volumen into Ea replica. But I gotta admit, Gil going apeshit after that was pretty entertaining.
Sounds like she wants a facefucking.
Waver is just like every college young teacher.
Why does the shopkeeper look like the Red Skull
How do I become a college young magnus teacher?
Why is Reines so perfect?
because she's a genuine sadist, not just someone who likes to tease people a bit
God that's hot
Lolidom
This are just original episodes for the anime to fill the gaps. And even as that they are fine.
The actual adaptation of the big arc doesn't even start until episode 5 or 6.
If I fill up Gray-tan's womb with my sperm will she give birth to little Mordreds?
what would be the point otherwise?
Why is this show such a waifu generator?
Nope, you need Merlin to give Gray a dick to make Mordred.
God, Gudako is such a fucking cutie.
I wonder how Mordred would react to seeing Gray.
Isn't this dude the whatshisname from Fate Apocrypha?
Why is he there?
When was Apocrypha meant to take place again?
It's his son.
His son. I think Apocrypha takes place the same time FSN would have.
>why is Fate such a waifu-generating franchise
well, fatetards, how do you respond
Depends on if Mordred knows about Greys past.
I sincerely couldn't even remember the dude had a son.
He wasn't shown in Apocrypha, there were only some concept arts. He's also new owner of Chaldea in fgo.
Filthy secondary here.
Is this an adaptation of something or is it OC?
you could have figured this out by googling, or even just reading the thread
Adaptation of LN.
LN adaptation.
>qt3.14 carrying around the weapon that her dad (female) skewered her with
She would seethe magnificently.
LN series, two full volumes translated, manga translations almost done on the first one.
He never shows up in Apocrypha itself but he's in the material book which says after Apo ended that cute homunculus girl with the short hair became his teacher. As an adult he's a main character in FGO.
I know Type-Moon has a lot of stupid names but what the everloving FUCK is up with the names in the spiritual evocation department?
He does show up in Apocrypha for like a few seconds in the last episode.
Huh, neat.
About FGO I haven't been following the JP spoilers for quite some time. Did anything new get revealed or what? Did they show what are all the Lost Belts?
Those aren't their real names, no magus reveals their real name because it can be used against them
>ahh, the son(female) I never had
Gundam names.
I'd take a dumb name over being in shithole departments like archeology or modern """magecraft"""
So far anime original, LN adaptation starts in a couple episodes.
He's only relevant in FGO anyway.
>MUH ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOT
Are all evil/autistic mages like this?
He shows in Apo last episode. He is also a character in FGO.
All mages are like this, even the good guy ones. Reaching the Root is the endgame of being a mage.
Nah, not unless there's a magus named some shit like Ankle Hit.
Didn't he get stabbed by fakeKirei?
That's literally what being a mage is about. If you're not obsessing over reaching the root you're squandering your family's research and crest and will probably be forced to step down and pass it to somebody else.
It's kind of a prerequisite.
99.9% of mages are autistic and 99.9% of mages are like that
The only exceptions are people like Shirou that aren't actually mages even though they can use magic
Don't you dare talk shit about based archeology, swine. I bet your faculty doesn't even provide fancy hats
Only if you are too lazy to write decent villains.
Kirei stabbed Da Vinci.
No, Da Vinci is the one who got Kirei'd
Should have summoned Fionn. Dude’s luck with women was so bad that he married and fucked a deer.
That's what being a magus means, it means trying to find a path to the root. That's the entire point of the Holy Grail War, in fact.
>TEEHEE now I'm a loli
Fucking NASU
I'd take not having a fancy hat over being in a department with both Touko and people stupid enough to mock her.
Fionn at least could win HGW in Apocrypha.
*Proceeds to cause a disaster from a spergout*
Wait until she meets Rin.
Who got turned into a loli Da Vinci or Kirei?
Fatboy at the end of the episode is the son of Fatman from Apocrypha, Siegfried's Master.
In FGO he buys Chaldea and becomes the new director just in time for the second main villain of the game to make his move and destroy the place. Now he's the comic relief boss who hangs out with the rest of the supporting vast.
He's a spoiled rich kid but he's also a genuinely good guy. Since homunculi have short lifespans he takes his on vacations when they're about to expire. Last year's summer event in GO showed that he brought them to Hawaii.
yes
Da Vinci. She had a backup loli body ready to transfer her mind/soul into when Kirei stabbed her.
He's also a really good driver and he's the one driving the Shadow Border around the LBs.
YOU JUST KNOW
>Since homunculi have short lifespans he takes his on vacations when they're about to expire.
That's actually cute.
Fatman in the end of Apocrypha also showed that he wasn't THAT much of a cunt.
As long as Luvia is in this episode let's look at how Rin and Luvia first met:
youtube.com
Reminder that they're second cousins: their grandmothers were sisters who participated in the third Grail War, but then one of them went missing and secretly married into the Tohsakas. The Edelfelts insist she was kidnapped/raped, the Tohsakas insist she did it of her own free will.
Awww i'd have prefered loli Kirei. That would have been fun.
As long as it's still Jouji Nakata
How did the India LB start and end? Did we get to see more Aliens?
the dog?
So how much do the governments of the world know about the Mage Association and Magic if any at all.
You'd think someone at a certain point would make the executive decision to shut down the large swathes of people regularly performing world ending rituals for the sake of obtaining an incredibly vague goal
Not really, only pajeet wank and Daybit showed up for a bit and he apparently has a Grand Servant.
And those governments are going to do that how? They can't even access where the mages are setup.
It started with the F/GO crew wanting to upgrade their un-space ship. It ended with Super Karna (Vishnu & Shiva absorbido, fused with Ashwatthama) taking on Super Arjuna, who'd vored the rest of the pantheon, in a DBZ-esque clash.
All the important governments know that it exists and they have their own mages. See Faldeus and the USA mages in SF.
>Grand Servant Berserker
Holy shit.
I wonder who it is.
The Church handles this stuff.
That's right, FUCK magic.
And FUCK Fate.
There's almost nothing wrong with Touko
Say that to my face in my workshop, faggot, and see what happens.
Some part of the American government knows. In a move that can be best described as "shockingly competent" they've established a unit to do magecraft shit for them.
The final battle was Karna Rojo vs Arjuna Blanco
Arjuna had the power of almost all the Hindu gods crammed into his body, except Vishnu, Shiva, and Indra. Karna got buffed by Vishnu and Shiva to match him.
Only to the Tohsaka. The Einzbern and Makiri aren't trying to reach the Root.
Eh to be fair, Indian mythology is pretty DBZ already.
Maybe Cain?
Most governments know and have their own magecraft departments, they just aren't nearly as competent as the Association.
The US government copied the Grail War and held their version in Nevada in Fate Strange Fake.
Reines is basically Megan from Drake & Josh, except rich
One thing is I thought FGO takes place in a different universe than Extra yet Karna and Jinko apparently know each other and he mentioned her during the first summer event.
Mordred
>violent and prone to chimping out from things not going their way
>Thinks herself to be a man
>Dresses like a slut anyway
>Actual brain damage, goes chasing cats in all fours
Gray
>Gentle and obedient
>Knows she's a lady and acts like one
>Dresses modesly
>Regularly attends classes and diligently studies with his teacher
I'd say 10 seconds flat before Mordred goes on a rampage out of jealousness.
Shouldn’t count. Abel’s murder was calculated as fuck
ESTO ES EL FIN, KARNA ROJO!!!!!
There's an actual word for em you should memorize: fascinators
Servants in FGO have their memories from other summonings.
>thread already devolving
Guess you can't expect much with one episode a week. I would rather people talk about the best ways to fuck Reines and Gray and Yvette than gachashit.
The Throne of Heroes is outside tine and space which is why servants in GO remember all the alternate timelines theyve been summoned in.
As for Jinako, fuck if I know.
“Let ‘em fight. They’ll kill each other off if the vanishing of Mystery doesn’t do ‘em in first. Burning ‘em in public was bad optics after all.”
-Pope
That's just the current situation though, I'm talking about originally. The Einzberns were looking for a path to the root like everybody else. The Holy Grail was devised as a path to reach it, that's what brought the Matous and Tohsakas on board. But the Matous and Einzberns eventually lost sight of the original goal and became distracted by other more personal ambitions as well as the war itself.
I'd almost would make Cain an Assassin but we already have Gramps as the Grand.
youtube.com
Blessed ED. Can't wait to see the full cast version.
Why not start a discussion then user? Be the change you want to see.
Is Reines the type to remain smug while being fucked or break down from the pleasure?
Pretty sure Zouken and Justeaze had another plan since the beginning.
Can always make your own thread focused on discussion you want. I actually would prefer if people did that rather than this gay general thread shit. If it's interesting people will post there instead of where all the FGO autists are.
The Einzberns always wanted it to make Heaven' s eel. The Matou did lose sight of their goal though yes.
The Einzbern and Makiri only want the Root as a means to reach and end, and that's the Third Magic and saving the world. Zouken in HF pretty much says the only who care about the Root itself are the Tohsaka.
>hey Cleetus, you know that war that war the old world mages have that never ends well for anyone involved and is almost guaranteed to destroy a portion of the city it's held in
>yeah?
>let's build our own version
I hoped they used all burger servants like Edison, Bunyan or Avenger Andrew Jackson.
If he is a shota in the show? Does that mean later we should have a grown up Reines in FGO?
I'm dumb
What did she mean by this? I she talking about the "new" war of stay/night?
She's talking about the two masters who die off-screen before the start of F/SN's main story. Caster's original master, and Bazett, who was the original master of Lancer before Kirei killed her.
I think it's mentioned in FGO that Chaldea's activities are being monitored by the United Nations.
We already have Reines in FGO as a demi-servant fused with Sima-Yi.
youtube.com
Anyone could clarify who exactly is running the Fake war? Been a while since I've thought about SF story with the hiatus and all that.
From what I understand of the "masterminds", there's Faldeus who is straight up a patriotic member of the government's magic division. There's the police chief, but he mostly just got involved to diminish the damage to civilians in Snowfield, and there's fucking Prelatti up to no good. It seems straightforward enough that the US of A are funding this charade, but does it get to the president? And what in the everloving fuck is Prelatti doing here?
IS gonna take much longer before her origin story?
Yeah, it's about the fifth.
Demiservants were a mistake.
This series happens a little bit before and concurrently with the events of F/SN, the 5th Holy Grail War. She's referring to two masters that don't actually appear in F/SN's story except in passing mention because they are eliminated before even the prologue happens.
Based Gordes, I unironically want a cameo in Case Files, but I think we're already quite full of them already.
Maybe her butt hurts
Pretty sure it's run by the American government.
Prelati is the one who gave the Grail shard and mud to the American government in the first place, kickstarting the whole thing.
Faldeus responds to a "General", so it's evident the military higher ups are involved.
I hate pseudo-Servants so fucking much, easily one of the biggest mistakes to come from that cancer game.
I do appreciate all the Reines art that came from it though, I admit.
Oh, I remembered Bazzet was from the association, but I forgot about Medea's original master.
>And what in the everloving fuck is Prelatti doing here?
IIRC, Prelati is participating because he somehow saw the outcome of the Great Grail War in a different timeline (i.e. Apocrypha) and wants to have Jeanne appear so that he can corrupt and destroy her. Also, his stat page implies that he's going to have a reunion with Gilles across space and time to get his spellbook back and thereby display its true power, because Gilles obviously could not.
Not really much is ever said about him besides the fact that he was typically cruel and arrogant, and especially foolish and careless. She tricked him into wasting his command spells on frivolous orders by telling him they weren't important, then once his last one was used, she murdered him and escaped.
Is this something we are going to see explained in the future or just a throwaway line?
It's the first case in the series, volume 1. Not getting adapted to this anime.
>Case Files is over
>After this it's nothing but FGO until the end of time, with the delusional ramblings of the few people still waiting for Tsuki remake
There's still Strange Fake I guess, which I enjoy, but it's still Grail War shit at the end of the day.
>Archer - Gilgamesh/Berserker(Archer)[Fake]
>Lancer - Enkidu/Charlie Chaplin
>Rider - Pale Rider(Pestilence/Death?)/Hippo
>Caster - Dumas/Prelati(Male)
>Assassin - Dumb Zealot/Spooky Hassan
>Berserker - Jack the Ripper(wristwatch)/Narita's pissed off
>Saber - Richie Rich
>The LN finally treats Luvia as a serious character for the the first time ever in history
>The anime version adds filler that turns her right back into a fucking joke
God damnit.
Fucking Atomic Gatorade, he's actually the antagonist in a case that got skipped.
It's a "read the novels guys!" moment.
She's hardly a joke, she was pretty straight laced in all her scenes. Her comedic points only really come out when Rin is involved.
It's got Archer Hercules, Enkidu, Richard the Lionheart, Berserker Jack the Ripper, Gilgamesh again, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is a Rider. Shit's crazy.
It was this twat. I don't remember anything about him being mentioned in the VN except for being murdered by caster.
The curse of Luvia.
Thought it was neat how they showed a little more info about her situation in UBW's adaptation. Would've liked to see how Kirei managed to kill Bazett. Probably something disappointingly anticlimactic.
Her origins are in volumes 6 and 7 of the LN but the anime is doing volumes 4 and 5.
Maybe an anime original episode will talk about it.
Aren't you exaggerating a bit? All she did her was make a pose and talk, it's clearly because she's already somewhat close to Gray and Waver.
Luvia is a joke when she's going around shouting "TOHSAKA RIN" or "SHERO", and neither of those is anywhere close.
The Association sent two mages to Fuyuki to participate, because that's the allotment they're given by the three families that started the ritual.
That said it's still baffling that the ritual sprang into activation decades ahead of it's proper schedule (thanks to Kerry forcibly terminating the last ritual before it completed) which caused half the participants to be dumb fucking highschoolers on one hand but on the other hand they were prepared enough to dispatch Bazett and whoever the fuck Caster's original master to participate.
We can hope for another Makoto Sanda series after this, user.
We held on through the last 4 years of trash with only SF and Case Files as our saviors, I'm sure we can keep going just a bit longer.
Tsukihime Remake announcement for the 20th anniversary in 2020
Kirei and Bazett knew each other from before so probably easily enough while she was off guard.
READ THE NOVELS GOIS
or the manga, this is the arc that got a manga
Something about Bazett talking with Kirei alone because they knew each other before and she trusted him, but Kirei backstabbed her and took her command seals. Don't remember details by now, it was in F/HA.
I really got to finish playing F/HA. I started it years ago while the TL was just starting.
Fuck, guess I'll have to.
Kirei literally just backstabbed her immediately after she finished summoning Lancer. She was too autistic to notice her Church executioner friend was a stone-cold psychopath in all their interactions over the years.
This makes for a great doujin set up.
We got the hero who forced translators to finally release full patch. Oh, and there's voice patch too so you get to experience definitive version of it now.
He shows up in this series too, in vols 2 and 3.
>She was too autistic to notice her Church executioner friend was a stone-cold psychopath in all their interactions over the years.
If her characterization in Prisma Illya is in anyway faithful I can believe she'd be too dense to notice.
>We can hope for another Makoto Sanda series after this, user.
A greedy part of me wishes it was more Waver/Clocktower but in another format, but I understand things are better when they are allowed to finish (see Grail Wars).
I'd be very interested in something along the lines of KnK with some fucky events in some random part of the world with mages. Then again, I'd also love Sanda to get himself into that worldbuilding and pull off something centered around the very neglected church, or the Wandering Sea.
To be fair, Kirei seems like a nice guy.
It wasn't just that she trusted Kirei; she was actually sort of wet for him judging by how her memories present the whole matter in Ataraxia.
IIRC, she summoned him in Ireland before coming to Fuyuki.
Tsukiwhat?
Oh right I think I remember that spot of drama, the guy who released his own fully translated patch using machine translations for the unfinished parts, and then the TL team for F/HA got super butthurt and "miraculously" revealed they were actually "super close" to finishing and just didn't tell anybody. What a laugh.
>spoiler
user don't do this to yourself.
For anyone interested in the LN, volumes 1 and 2 are finished translations and volume 3 is about halfway translated with updates coming at a regular pace. There are 10 volumes total, the series just ended like 2 months ago.
The final battle of vol 10 happens on the same night that Shirou summons Saber.
>forums.nrvnqsr.com
And that guy immediately regretted posting his patch with words how he just wanted everyone to be happy. Ironically, he had EMIYA avatar. Whole shit was hillarious.
Wasn‘t her origin story in the last novel? Doubt it will get adapted at all.
Turkeyhandle
Absolutely. Well, I'll take anything from him that doesn't revolve around Servant shit at this point. Church would be neat, but I think the Grail Dismantling war is more likely now.
I will hold on to whatever hope there is, else it would be impossible to give a fuck about Type-Moon anymore.
hold still fatefag, this is gonna hurt
There is one thing to look forward to: Carnival Phantasm 2
Up until it actually happens and it's 90% FGO nonsense
About 2/3 of the way through the series. She's explored in vols 6 and 7 out of 10.
You should've used this instead, dumb frogposter.
This would be the worst, I am not ready for a world where they ruin Carnival Phantasm.
This is actually good English. Did they ask Aniplex US to write it?
It was perfect. The faker's fake, half-assed translation against the indolent and lazy "real TL". It was the fandom drama fatfags deserved.
How can you distrust this man?
Somebody fluent edited and proof read it, only one type and it's typographical, not grammatical.
Someone remind me if Lancer ever hinted at Kirei killing Bazett in SN itself?
>Magus
@
>No sense of right and wrong
Unlimited Codes had a little about it also
Wasn't Bazett descended from Lancer?
REEEEEEE FUCKING MUGGLES AND THEIR SHITTY DEVICES, CAN'T AN HONEST MAGUS DO THEIR RESEARCH IN PEACE THESE DAYS?!
Dumb frogposter.
Why does this guy keep showing up in things? Does anyone even care about him? He died like a dog in UBW, and he wasn't even in the original VN.
Same reason Shinji keeps showing up, to be a punching bag.
The TLDR of this message is "a Star Chamber has ruled that you are guilty of a capital offense, confiscated everything you have, and outlawed you." Considering that means he had already lost everything, why wouldn't Davenant just choose to go out fighting rather than deciding to surrender? Not only is he not going to be able to continue his research even if he survives, he might not even be allowed to pass down his crest.
He's a character implied to exist in F/SN but was never introduced or even described, total blank slate. They're filling him out by giving him a history beyond his incredibly minor participation in F/SN's story as Caster's original master, which was too small to even be called a footnote.
Yeah, pre-murder Bazett was definitely thinking about getting herself some holy dick in the FHA.
Sanda made it his missIon with Case Files to explore most of the Fate side of the universe that wasn't Servant shit, so why wouldn't he take the chance to show more of him? Especially since he was doing the lead-up to the 5th Grail War anyway.
Is youngster maguses understanding technology common? In Zero Waver knew how to handle electronics and in this those kids know about computers enough to know some terminology. I'm mainly curious because in Carnival Phantasm they made an entire gag about Rin not knowing shit about tech, so I always assumed thats just how magi are.
What does Gray's breath smell like?
It's just a bit exaggerated.
He knows he's not going to win if the Clock Tower sent a letter, and that "might not" goes to "definitely not" if he fights, I'd guess.
There are better characters to flesh out. Like Bazett.
The last paragraph mentions a trial. So presumably all the asset freezing and such is temporary until his official trial and sentencing is carried out. If he stands trial he can potentially mitigate his punishment and get his materials back, whereas if he fights they will simply execute him out of hand.
Genuine spoilers, but who knows if the anime will even cover this since it's not in the arc they're adapting.
>Gray's backstory
Gray is a descendant of the Pendragon bloodline but that's not her original face.
Her family is a family of gravekeepers, running one of the many cemeteries across Britain that claims to be the resting place of King Arthur. But her family, her entire village actually, is part of a cult.
When Gray was born with a passing resemblance to Saber, the cult freaked out and decided to have her be the second coming of King Arthur. They used magic to synchronize her essence to Saber's, planning on having her body transform into a perfect copy of Saber's so that Saber's soul could possess her and bring about the return of King Arthur.
When Saber was summoned in Fate/Zero, Gray's face and hair suddenly changed to be identical to Saber's. The cult, her family, and her mom most of all, treated her like royalty and like an object. She wasn't a person to them, she was King Arthur.
Eventually Waver found out about her. He saved her from her cult village before she could be possessed by Saber's soul and brought her to London.
>Add
Add is a special weapon called Logos React Replica that has been passed down Gray's family since Arthurian times. He is a seal on Rhongomyniad, Saber's holy spear, that keeps Rhongomyniad from losing its power. His personality is a copy of Sir Kay's, Saber's nii-san.
>Gray at the end of the LNs
When Shirou summons Saber in volume 10, Gray's body reacts to it just like it did when she was summoned in Zero. This time Gray's hair turns blonde, she gets advanced regeneration abilities, and she gets a dragon mana engine in her body just like Saber has so she basically generates mana just by breathing.
Gray's lips must be very silky smooth and soft.
Bazett already has a significant role in Prisma so he probably wanted to avoid her. Maybe she'll show up next episode though.
>It's just a bit exaggerated.
So she does have strong gap moe?
Rin is exceptionally tech illiterate.
Bazett has HA. Atrum had nothing, he needed it more.
That‘s just how some families are, including the Tohsakas
Bazett has a major roll in F/HA, plus she's pretty prevalent in Prisma Illya 2wei. She's not uncharted territory the way Caster no Master is.
Enlighten me lorefags. I know Tsukihime is the farthest from canon in the Fate timelines, but is it fair to assume there are still bloodlines of people mixed with magic species like the Tohnos, who have nothing to do with magi? It'd be nice to see something centered around that, or the clans like Nanaya/the church that hunt them.
Atrum is a dog who died like a dog. He doesn't need anything more than the tablescraps he was given.
I don't recall her having much moe moments, it was pretty serious all the time Bazette was involved in FHA.
We already know pretty much everything about Bazett. FHA's main plotline is her lifestory.
Ironically, the highschoolers had far more common sense and hindsight than the adults
I want to kiss them softly and swap saliva with her
Those kids are all in Norwich/modern magecraft theories, so it's natural they'd be more in touch with the modern world.
Traditional mages go from completely tech illiterate to being comfortable around cars and TVs but not minding them too much. There's the odd magus like the head of the Faculty of Creation who are familiar with shit from the 90s onwards, but they're few. You'd be safe to assume that most mages will have tech knowledge from around the 50s.
There are probably mixed blood families, but they would be weaker much like vampires, cause Servant/humanity wank in Fate worlds is obnoxious and ever-present.
If they ever did a spin-off focused on that, I would much rather see it in a Tsukihime world.
If you want more Bazett then you should play her game. Look, she's even on the box art and everything.
A lot of older mages are conservative but the younger crowd is opening up to tech. Rin is just especially bad with it even by mage standards.
Still, from the sound of things Caules and Flat have the only computers in the whole dorm.
>Gray will never whisper in your ears with her soft-spoken voice
KnK is closer to a Fate timeline than Tsuki timeline, possibly being in a Fate timeline, so yeah.
Didn't we had camelot movie confirmed?
Rin's dad would rather use that weird skeleton typewriter than a telephone and I think that's the norm for his generation of mages.
I want more of this too. I want a brand new series set in the extended Fate universe that's as separate from Fate as Tsukihime is, and has absolutely nothing to do with mages, Grail wars or the Clocktower (you could mkention their existence but none of the main characters should be Magi).
>nothing but FGO until the end of time
I think user doesn't care much about it.
Bazett doesn't appear that often, but I would argue she's already been highly developed. Ataraxia tells you not only about why she participated in the war and how she got taken out, it also shows you a great deal about the sort of person she is and has her overcome her fear and face what she thinks is oblivion bravely. There's not much in the way of interesting things that a writer can do with her, unless they either want to have her just show up and punch things or highlight how she (pre-Ataraxia, anyway) is a person who seems indomitable on the outside but is lonesome and has a serious lack of self-confidence on the inside, which is something that anyone who read Ataraxia already knows.
>Gray will never gently shake you awake in the mornings with a soft smile
Camelot movie (part 1 in 2020) and Babylonia in this October yeah. New PV(s) will be revealed in FGO Fes 2019, they are also going to announce HF3 and Fate 15th Anniversary news in Fes day1 too.
This old lady is one of the Lords of the Clock Tower, and she has an ipod and listens to rock music. Mages hating modern tech is widespread but it's not universal.
Don't see why they would be nerfed. The shit the Tohno and whatever one-eye-fuck's name was wasn't THAT outrageous. Not something unreasonably beyond the capabilities of church enforcers or upper crust magi, at least.
>that cute welp
She's too adorable, send help.
BLACKED
Usually only aristocratic and some neutral mages hate modern tech, the Democracy are okay with that.
She's also part of the tard faction that doesn't give due respect to lineage in magecraft.
Will Waver ever get over Iskandar and get some pussy?
Kishima Kouma by himself is as strong as a Servant with an average NP. That's definitely too much for a Fateshit world, I feel like they would probably be nerfed as inhuman monsters but we can't say for sure.
I really like how her characterization turned out, I can definitely see how Touko would've been taught by her.
>'monster of the week' plot
Reminder that "overarching stories" are objectively inferior to episodic ones.
musty old crypts and overgrown graveyard grass
How old is Gray?
I thought she survived though and that was part of the massive shitstorm that was hollow ataraxia?
Kay is best hero bro.
15
Nice
Cute dorks desu
>implying GoT wasn't aimless episodic trash with no real overarching direction.
Pffft, sure.
The grail keep her alive for a while until Caren finds her and HA happens
Nice. Also Logos React is one of Atlas's Seven Superweapons, btw.
Rude, please do not spread falsehoods about Gray
>hey there employer, I know I'm not qualified for this position, but hear me out: I'll pay YOU and you give me this job so I can fuck it up.
What?
>eating sandwiches with gloves on
the writing is not very good and cases so far have been boring
Probably not. Its kind of sad that a series that started as porn none of the relevant characters get laid anymore. Only background characters fuck or are raped offscreen.
We need some Heaven's feels to fix this shit.
They are autistic.
Is CF and S/F in the same timeline or is there a divergence somewhere?
Yeah that's why he's Logos React Replica. I don't recall if they copied Atlas or if Atlas made a copy for them.
Kiyo is legitimately pretty based in the FGO manga.
Divergence somewhere.
He also has very very very good driving skill, and Goff Punch too.
Thanks Toole-san.
SF may only diverge after Fate/stay night, so it's possible that all of Case File's events happened there.
Strange Fake has all of Zero, Case Files, and FSN happen in it but it's its also its own timeline where Tsukihime shit also happens even though Nasu said a while ago Tsuki and Fate are separate.
They are called magic users.
the Modern Magecraft department was useless and no one respected it, it was harmless
Different timelines. CF is in the main timeline with zero and stay night, S/F is in a completely diferent world type
SF diverges way earlier due to all the DAs running around, but the F/Z > CF > F/SN events still happen basically as in the "prime" timeline
Atlas made a copy for them since Gray's village had a contract
Case Files is in FSN timeline, FSF is in a different timeline but i'm sure all the story in CF happen in SF timeline too.
She'd break down and be smug about it.
will luvia be in any more episodes? will she suplex anyone or use double gandr shot?
We don't know, but she will only appear in the original content part anyway.
DAAs not existing in nu-Fateshit is pretty irrelevant to Strange Fake, it's just its own special timeline where all the cool stuff actually exists at the same time. You're right that the event that caused DAA to not exist in Fate (and Gransurg Blackmore to die) probably didn't happen in SF so that's a divergence, but I doubt based Narita planned that or even knows what that event actually was.
Case Files was mentioned to happen in SF. FSN and FHA also happened.
>Edelfelt
>Finnish
>hat's definitely too much for a Fateshit world
Is it? If I remember correctly Shiki's dad managed to put a dent on him with just his inbred kung-fu. Also what an average servant does may be a bit overblown since we mostly see the hax ones, they can bruteforce through most things physically and with their NPs, but magi have their own bullshit as well and there's still room for a fight between a competent one and a servant, specially in their workshops/with preptime. Matchups/the specific NP matter a lot, of course.
Rin did manage to give a fucking Age of the Gods servant a beating, using the element of surprise. Hell, some servants might actually crash into a wall against Fastwheel's autism maze if they tried to go straight through it.
Hollow Ataraxia confirms there are pure demons around and the humans still deal with them, if at great cost. so I'd say there's room for bullshit mixed blood clans to be around.
She might appear in the next couple anime-original episodes, but she's not going to be in the second half when it gets to the LN content.
Olga Marie will be though.
To be fair this was just a way to fix the inconsistence that was strange fake now because it was a resurrected novel that was written as a joke many years ago
Luviabros...
It's a pretty irrelevant distinction anyways. Primate Murder is classed as a DAA in Tsukihime and still exists in FGO as a Beast. They just changed the labels. God knows what other 'DAAs' are shared between settings because they just changed the name.
so is it actually fully translated now? I just remember the esl idiot releasing machine tl and stopped paying attention.
These are the LN covers for this arc so here are characters you can expect to see in the second half of the anime.
Yes. Make sure to play it with the voice patch, because the voice acting is 10/10.
spoiler this shit
That was young kouma, when nasu was asked that question he talked about adult kouma that we know pretty much nothing because the one in melty blood is still the young one born from TATARI and shiki memories
Is there a fully bundled patch or is it still piecemeal as fuck?
Case Files shows a lot of Fate versions of DAA. Zepia is here, Einnashe and Rita are mentioned, Blackmore is dead.
I'm only interested in non-fateshit characters such as Touko.
You are correct that originally Servants were a lot more balanced and not THAT far ahead of mages or executors given the right circunstances.
Nowadays though, it's all about Servant wank. Nasu literally defeated the point of what he did in UBW and HF to make Servants look cooler, Kouma was put on the same level as the 27 DAA in that quote, who have since been nerfed.
>Q: In the other Type-Moon works, who else besides Arc can fight against Servants?
>A: If we're working on the condition of one on one, with an extremely average Noble Phantasm. Generally most of the 27 Ancestors, Kishima Kouma, Aozaki Aoko.
Hardly, as the other user pointed out, nearly all the DAA that we know of are in very different circunstances in Fate worlds now.
Touko was in the arc before this one.
You get to see Hercules shit talk Gilgamesh by calling him a noob and proceeding to curbstomp Gilgamesh. I have sincere doubts about Gilgamesh being considered the strongest servant after that.
J-just don't look at those first stages
>Einnashe
He is still a forest?
They are of Swedish origin.
She only transfered her soul, not mind/personality. Loli Vinci is modeled of her experience with Roman (not being a genius anymore rather someone trying very hard to fulfill that role as contrast) so she acts and talks differently from the original Da Vinci. What Da Vinci said about Roman is literally Loli Vinci right now: "an ordinary man who can not do the amount of a genius's work". This is also the reason why JP fans see Loli Vinci as the daughter of Roman and Da Vinci anyway.
So she's one of them eh? Is she a full autismo naturalized finn now?
>curbstomp
>needs help from ishtar, humbaba, grail mud, the souls of a tens of thousands of people and gil's own gate key
>can't even withstand the pain of the hydra poison like gil but cries like a bitch
If that's true why did Kayneth, the only clocktower mage at the time who qualified to participate in the war, run it?
>Read newest Strange Fake volume
>fucking Flueger at the start
Based, it's cool to see someone from the Castle of Separation arc stick around this long. I was sure he'd be dead meat early on in the first novel and yet here we are.
Zouken wanted to reach the root, but after his own grail war flopped ultra hard he decided to live longer so that he could see his Einzbern waifu that had turned into a cup during the next grail war. Unfortunately for him attempts at immortality tend to mess with your head/sanity so he ended up forgetting WHY he wanted to see the end of the grail war so badly.
Hold on a second. If the throne of heroes is multiversal, can't the mages try to configure a backdoor through the throne of heroes instead of doing all of that root bullshit?
Wasnt he buffed with jack np too?
He didn't. KFC was in charge of Mineralogy.
He also reappeared in Case Files vol 9 and 10 too.
Narita is too good, wish the TL for volume 5 was going faster.
Kek Gil haters having to resort to literal lies. Pqthetic
>LUVIA SNU SNU
>can't the mages try to configure a backdoor through the throne of heroes instead of doing all of that root bullshit?
Sounds like too direct an approach. I'm sure the whole grail war shit exists because that IS the backdoor, because what you suggest is basically ASKING Gaia to slap your shit.
Counter Force will fuck you up if you try going to the Root directly.
>Hold on a second. If the throne of heroes is multiversal, can't the mages try to configure a backdoor through the throne of heroes
That's basically what the grail war was supposed to be, originally. It's hard to harness the power of the Throne, so they had to contrive this summoning ritual to exploit the way it works.
Will the Church have any amount of relevancy in this adaption?
Yes they will.
Nope. I wish someone would write a Church-centric work for once.
>If we're working on the condition of one on one, with an extremely average Noble Phantasm. Generally most of the 27 Ancestors, Kishima Kouma, Aozaki Aoko.
Why didn't he mention Shiki (any version)? The Tohno one killed a DAA by himself without training nor preparation.
I want to see Curryass and Emiya killing heretics and shit.
A series with Hansa as the protag would be the tits.
Tohno/Nanaya Shiki's going to microwave his brain just from trying to see the death of a servant. And he killed Nero much like how Gilgamesh lost to Shirou, dumb overconfidence and a bad matchup.
Ryougi can't keep up physically.
the DAAs vary in power levels massively, that's not really an indicator
Roa didn't setup his immortality plan here, or so I understand, so there's no catalyst for Curry to get involved in paranormal shit. Right now she's probably a muggle working at her french bakery, if she exists at all.
Nah, Roa reincarnated, he just never met Arc and didn't become top dog. Dantes fought him during the drama CD.
Roa existed but I'm pretty sure Edmond Dantes killed him dead.
Isn't there some old source saying Ciel gave Archer his coat?
>The Tohno one killed a DAA by himself without training nor preparation.
Ntvnqsr handled that whole situation extremely poorly because he let his pride overtake his common sense. He would not have been destroyed if he had just thought to keep a couple of blue crows some place safe in reserve.
The weakness of the MEoDP is that it's more difficult to perceive the lines on things that aren't inherently physical. Servants are spirits, which makes it difficult for Ryougi to use the eyes on them, and impossible for Tohno. For Ryougi, the effectiveness of her eyes also depend a lot on the Mystery of what she's looking at. Sarira were enough to obscure lines entirely, and its questionable whether servants or their NPs would be something her eyes could handle at all.
Plus she can't keep up with servants physically, which puts her at a huge disadvantage in melee combat where her eyes would otherwise be effective. She's just too outclassed in this respect by most servants.
Roa is gone from (most?) Fate timelines due to Dantes
>Plus she can't keep up with servants physically
what about shitters like Mata Hari? Do they still outclass most humans?
why did they pick such a lame goddess for her demiservant?
According to the original VN even the bottomost physical attributes on a servant are far, far above the peak of human abilities but then also according to the VN a japanese teenager overpowered Gilgamesh in a sword fight.
I think it's just wishy-washy, really.
Yes.
Probably for a thematic opposite to Ishtar-Rin. Thot goddess vs justice goddess.
Mata Hari is a cheat in her own category
>brainwashing NP that leaves no memory and works better on subsequent uses
>espionage skill makes it impossible to discern her as an enemy until she attacks
>can charm both men and women if they don't have serious mental defenses
Yeah
>Q: When and where did Archer (Emiya Shirou) acquire his red overcoat (a holy shroud)? Or, was the shroud he used in Sakura’s route an original one?
>A: When he began working as a freelance magus in his twenties, he received it from a certain curry-loving member of the clergy... now that would make a nice story, it would.
Since we can actuall discuss stuff from outside fate in here, I'm reminded of the Shiki vs Roa talk about lines of death, or the SHIKI and Shiki bro-talk, among other moments in Tsuki. For all the shit I give Nasu, he sure can write some amazing scenes.
>but then also according to the VN a japanese teenager overpowered Gilgamesh in a sword fight.
Isn't that because Shirou traces the owner's skills which temporarily gives him superhuman power when wielding them?
>so there's no catalyst for Curry to get involved in paranormal shit
Ciel, or rather, Elesia, is not unlikely to end up as something other than the daughter of a baker for the very same reason Roa picked her as a host--her natural aptitude for magecraft is unbelievable. If the old interviews about the matter still hold true, then she has better magic circuits than Rin does despite the fact that Rin is a genius who's likely going to become one of the best in the entire history of the Association once she's a mature magus. Given that Roa was able to scout Ciel by spotting her talent, it's not that much of a stretch to think that other parties would be able to do the same. In fact, this is what Tokiomi was ultimately worried about with Sakura.
Nah. Whether it's spirits or physical, the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception can see the death of all things. The issue is martial prowess.
Out of the Twenty-Seven Dead Apostle Ancestors, Nrvnqsr is considered to be one of the "magus types", not a "warrior type". He's the easiest type of DAA for Shiki to beat. On the other hand, against Servants who excel at 1vs1 combat, he's a nightmare because in order to kill him, you'd need to kill him 666 times. A shot from Excalibur or Vasavi Shakti could destroy him in an instant, but Lancelot or Sasaki Kojiro would be at a disadvantage.
At the cost of it hurting like a bitch, yeah. That's why he could wield Caliburn against Berserker.
Tokiomi had reason to worry because he's from a line of magicians, people are aware of his existence, and so the existence of his children. Elesia is just some muggle in the middle of nowhere.
Yeah.
We only know a little about that Grand Servant at this point, and the class hasn't been confirmed yet
>???
>Yama......Yamaten, huh.
>Judging dead men? What kind of joke is that idea?
>Death is something to be devoured. Life is something to be offered.
>The anarchy of allowing freedom to dead men does not exist in my world.
>So I ate them all.
>But the taste was foul. It was proof that their diet was anything but decent.
>Daybit
>Don't stick your head out too much. This isn't your land.
>Did no one ever tell you to never drink the groundwater of a foreign soil?
>???
>You have a point. I will control myself.
>After all, we aren't here for a gourmet meal.
Mahoyo has some of Nasu's best character writing in my opinion, really wish more people could read it, and I desperately hopes he goes back to making VNs or at least LNs at some point. His style and his best qualities don't come through at all in recent Fate shit.
>Nah. Whether it's spirits or physical, the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception can see the death of all things.
read the vn
>Whether it's spirits or physical
Ryougi says herself that she has trouble seeing lines on non-physical things in KnK3. It's not an issue of the eyes but the mind attached to them.
So basically : Waver's like a Social Studies Professor whose a joke to all the other Professors but basically keeps all the fuck ups from going full retard by teaching them how to handle their emotions?
I'd happily read Mahoyo if the translation would ever get finished. Aoko is cute. Cute!
>Since we can actuall discuss stuff from outside fate in here,
you know /tmg/ exist right?
Three of my favorite moments in Tsukihime were 1.) getting killed by a shark on the top floor of a hotel because you didn't have Shiki take the lead like a protagonist should, 2.) Shiki killing Ciel when she was trying to prove to him that he wasn't becoming a murderer when he sleeps, which makes him lose his marbles and become a true murderer, and 3.) the epilogue where Shiki finally meets Aoko again and they have a short but heartfelt talk before parting for what is likely forever.
Kind of, but Svin and Flat are actual total prodigies that are just too weird for regular magi teachers to handle.
I don't remember, could Ryougi see "points" or was that a Tsukihime addition?
>
>Q: Since Saber and Gilgamesh have physical bodies in Fate/Stay Night, can Shiki see lines on them?
>A: Let alone flesh and blood, Mystic Eyes of Death Perception is even effective against Spiritual Bodies. As long as Ryougi Shiki can perceive the opponent as "alive" (not life, but live), she will see the lines of death. For instance, even though the apparitions in Overlooking View were dead, but they were "alive" the instant they interacted with things in this world.
>In addition, Shiki's Mystic Eyes of Death Perception losing to the Sarira embedded in Araya's arm was due to the Sarira being an item of the awakened one who "achieved Nirvana while he was still alive". If Shiki were to attempt to kill it via lines of death, she would not be able to do so unless she could dicern "lines of death" several levels higher than regular death. Despite all this, the tragedy of bones is that they will turn to dust if burned. Rather than learning Death Hexes and beat it that way, it is easier to just level up and crush it physically.
Of course, whether Tohno Shiki can do the same thing isn't set in stone, but it should be possible. He was capable of killing Roa's malignant information, TATARI's constructs and even a Reality Marble. A Servant Container shouldn't be difficult to kill, but he'd still lose to most Heroic Spirits.
Waver is a terrible mage as far as actual power goes but he has a great understanding of how magecraft works, so all the trouble students that no other professors can stand like Flat get dumped on him and then he actually teaches them useful stuff.
Someone who eats dead people?
Dude was seeing lines in the sky, pretty sure at that point everything is fair game.
what's his deal? he doesn't seem to have any cool powers like the others
Yeah, seems like so. Daybit's Lostbelt is in South America so his servant's origin might be here too but we don't know that for sure.
He can do magecraft without even trying. In Strange Fake he summons Jack the Ripper from a toy knife without even realizing he summoned him.
He has some sort of genuine autism and his parents hate him so much they tried to have him assassinated. When that didn't work they sent him off to the Clock Tower to be rid of him, where he got shipped from professor to professor because none of them could stand him until he finally got stuck with Waver.
Seeing lines in the sky isn't that strange. If you can see the death of air molecules, then seeing the death of the atmosphere should also be possible.
He's a step above "showy powers" with a theme. He just straight up dissasembles magic with his mind.
The dude who set up the Escardos line must have been a Zelretch-style asshole, kickstarting the creation of Flat and telling nobody.
He's some kinda mutant or freak of nature.
This doesn't seem very English
He is basically a meta-mage that can disrupt or even control the magecraft of others on a whim. During his presentation in SF he basically hacked a high tier bounded field put by lords as if it was nothing.
He also can basically solve anything magecraft related but nobody is able to replicate his methods. He is probably the biggest genius in the classroom but at the same time the biggest idiot. Flat is also said to be able to "see something" no one else is able to, explaining why he is like that.
>In Strange Fake he summons Jack the Ripper from a toy knife without even realizing he summoned him.
The whole thing kind of establishes what Flat is all about.
>Waver orders a game about Jack the Ripper and gets a toy knife as a preorder bonus.
>Flat thinks it's a real knife and moreover he thinks it's a catalyst to summon Jack as a Servant so he asks Waver if he can have it
>"Huh sure go knock yourself out."
>Flat takes the knife and flies all the way from London to Nevada to participate in the US government's copycat Grail War
>There's no summoning circle, no incantation, he's just sitting around in a park with a toy knife merch from a Jack the Ripper video game and suddenly Jack pops up next to him.
If we're (un)lucky they might adapt F/HA or F/Extella.
If only he summoned assassin Jack
berserker jack can turn into assassin jack though
>F/HA
I'd love to see that.
You really wanna see them give Extra another go?
Gay. Berserker Jack is the GOAT
But they find it weird so it changes back
A want a permanent assJack
I feel like he might have some connection to the Root. It many respects, he reminds me of Manaka.
My favorite Flat moment is when Waver has no idea where he is and then Flat sends him a picture of Gilgamesh from the Nevada Grail War and Waver freaks the fuck out.
Assassin Jack has a much cooler and more appropriate moveset. I especially like how no one can remember how she looked once she leaves the battlefield, based on how no one knew who the real Jack was. It's just a shame about her design being garbage.
no u
Ironically despite being a "Fake" servant. SF Jack is much truer to the entire concept behind the Ripper's legend. A mass of aborted fetuses? Give me a goddamn break. The lengths Fate will go through to justify more waifu servants.
All in all, style more on the sensible side compared to other Rule63 servants, at least here there was actual room for the possibility of a girl Jack
Jack's the same breed of existence as Nursery Rhyme.
Didn't Daybit's Servant being a Berserker be confirmed ages ago?
Yes. We learned what class all the Crypters' Servants are when Cosmos in the Lostbelt started.
>My favorite Flat moment is when Waver has no idea where he is and then Flat sends him a picture of Gilgamesh from the Nevada Grail War and Waver freaks the fuck out.
Pretty dumb to be desu. Why are they making everything look like a child's game now. Shit's supposed to be serious business. It's supposed to be world-ending rituals and gory battles to death, not randumb clownfiestas.
>Daybit's Lostbelt is in South America
wait was that confirmed?
Reminder Shiki after near side killed two more DAA and one of them was a fucking mountain.
> It's supposed to be world-ending rituals
Yeah no, it really isn't fgotard.
That's WHY Waver freaks the fuck out. Flat treats everything lighthearted and has no idea what kind of deep shit he's in, especially when Waver sees Gilgamesh of all people in the picture that Flat sends him.
If you compare him to Shiki and Manaka, two characters who were born with an innate connection to the Root, you begin to see some connections. The problem is Flat's general ignorance. He has no idea what he's doing or how he's doing it and can't even replicate what he's done before. He's like a version of Manaka who got fucked up in the construction process.
But the differences in his sense of morality and ethics, as well as how he views the weight of human life, isn't that far off from theirs. It's just the differences in their influences that changed them. Shiki is the Bodhisattva, Manaka is the antichrist and Flat is the alien god.
Yeah, but they could pull another Hinako's servant situation again, especially when that Grand Servant's class hasn't been confirmed yet and he can talk properly
>Da Vinci:
>The last person is… ah, it’s him. Daybit Sem Void. Amongst the gathered geniuses of the A-Team, he is the only unclear element… or perhaps, a dangerous figure…
>His major in the Mage’s Association was in the Faculty of Lore, Brishisan. That faculty is the one with the “least students” since the Clock Tower’s inception…
>It is a heretical faculty that handles relics not of this world and reports directly to the president. He is someone who was expelled from such a place.
>Maris-Billy valued his talents highly. I, too, think that Daybit is a rare youth.
>There have only been one or two people in life whose genius I acknowledged, like I have his.
>Daybit is that extraordinary of a person.
>He will not try to understand anyone, nor will he ever be understood.
>The Servant assigned to him was Berserker. There were no expectations of communication from the beginning.
Yes it was
>On the other hand, the English and South American Lostbelts---
>Those have a high possibility of self-destruction. That is what Trismegistus has advised.
>On the other hand, although the Lost Depth of South America is also high, all conjectures made ended up as [unknown].
>It seems that civilization there is almost dead.
>So, [although it is an anomaly even amongst anomalies as far as human history goes, it cannot compete with other human histories], that’s what it means.
>Since he was never identified, she has the power to remain anonymous
>Since he was never identified and all manners of theories were speculated, he can "be" anyone, including multipled people at the same time
Both are great uses of the concept. From hell might be a bit too out there though, even if it's much more solid as an NP than the London recreation.
Does South America even have a mythos?
It is. That's what the early Fate series were about and it's also what magecraft is mostly about too.
Literally no but okay.
Waver keeps game consoles in his office instead of at home?
More important than the ones you call out, why the fuck does he keep a Dreamcast?
Objectively wrong, read the fucking VN.
>Fate was always about waifus and not any of this grimdark mage crap.
I'd let you all know that I do not consider FGOfags as human beings.
I was gonna say he wants to play Sonic Adventure 2 but the gamecube port was out by late 2003.
Fate was a mix of good girls in an overall pretty dark story, followed by a fandisc that was more focused on just fun.
FGO cancer is dumb bullshit mixed into even the "serious" story, with mostly paper thin characters even at the best of times.
Don't try to correlate tone or "waifus" with quality.
Literally read the VN yeah. The whole HGW thing is a ritual capable of turning the world upside down where mages fight each other to death using every method possible. And let's not talk about the selfish and dark motivations and methods behind the HGW system.
Same for F/Z, except more grim.
>FGO
Fate started as an eroge. It has indeed always been about waifus
And I'd let you know that I also consider Typemoon secondaries as less than shit.
>and not any of this grimdark mage crap.
But the main antagonist of Lostbelt arc is literally a magus
no it;s a minor rirtual
grail wars happen all the time in apo and onlyproblem is the death of dumb mages
>another Hinako's servant situation again
what
Why do FGO retards keep spouting speculation and fan canon as if it's already confirmed?
Not that I'm denying the likelihood that Marisbilly is the final boss of Lostbelt trash, just wondering.
I don't know what you are talking about as I'm not a subhuman FGO player.
What's wrong with the Dreamcast?
Back in the prologue Da Vinci said her servant's class was Rider, but then she summoned a Saber class servant
hurr durr i hate fgo
Huh, fucking Davinci.
It doesn't matter if you think it's minor or not. The effects is what matters
And Apocrypha came after F/SN and F/Z. So it's the same trash as Extra and FGO.
Re-read until you understand every word of it
yep, it's garbage
Actually Hinako herself thought Lanling Wang would qualify for Rider class but he was summoned as a Saber servant. One of his voice lines says he's happy than his horse can be summoned with him eventhough he is a Saber.
hurr durr I love gacha cancer Nasu please never work on anything good ever again Servant good gacha good card gameplay good VNs bad console games bad Tsukihime bad
If you want to go Biblical, Samson is the only option.
Yeah, nowadays, the average FGO player likely thinks FSN is the same as Nekopara.
even if you hate gacha games FGOs story is good so just youtube it and sut up
I've followed it for almost 4 years it's fucking dogshit, mediocre at best godawful at worst. Shut the fuck up you absolute shit eater, literally all of FGO's decent/cool ideas are wasted in an awful game and an awful format with a shitty protagonist and a shitty focus on Servants.
>I played FGO for almost 4 years
What's the sauce for that? I already tried image searching and looking on sad panda.
>I am a newfag and proud of it
>if you didn't play it you're not allowed to shit talk it
>but if you do know it extremely well you're not allowed to shit talk it either!
so much fucking salt over fgo lol
>FGO OP2
>Case Files
Will Troyca be the next slave studio of Fate franchise ?
>It's fucking dogshit
>Nothing to support why it's dogshit
>If I post smug redman it means I'm right
Just saying something is dogshit without actually going into detail about why it's dogshit doesn't make it dogshit dumbass
>Why yes, I play FGO. What gave it away?
God this thread can't die soon enough.
Japan first impressions about this episode were apparently pretty good because the show suddenly jumped to the 1st position in the stalker preorders for the summer season.
Characters are overwhelmingly bland and one dimensional, writing constantly flip flops due to the changing writers, Servants are overused compared to non-Servant characters, medium is not fit for storytelling, garbage tedious gameplay constantly interrupts said storytelling, pseudo-Servants exist, protagonist is a blank self-insert with fake dialogue choices, sprites are stiff and only change expressions to save costs, art is also extremely inconsistent, the way Servants' memories work is highly inconsistent and prevents any emotional attachement to any death...
I can fucking go on if you want.
If you're so butthurt why don't you just stay away from TM discussion until your beloved Tsukihime remake comes out?
Because this is a Case Files thread and I'm loving the Case Files anime.
Even that isn't entirely accurate.
Hinako insists on summoning in attempts to get a Rider class servant. It's because she is Consort Yu who is now a DA and wishes to summon her husband from beyond the grave whom, in panhistory, would most often manifest AS a Rider.
Much like how Ophelia had a boner for trying to get someone from the norse field of mythos because she possesses the modern equivalent of Balor.
then you like fgo because it's a fgo spinoff about their caster servant
You need to actually be specific, have you've never even taken a high school level writing course?
Making a list without specifying examples to support your list makes your arguments fall flat.
Also half of your complaints are about the story but about design decisions.
>T-M fans complaining about FGO and denouncing everything about it
Literally the equivalent of the old mages that refuse to adapt to modern technology. Literally this episode of Case Files.
Not him but Case Files has nothing to do with FGO. The only link to Servants is Gray's saberface so far.
Now we need edited subs of the electric mage bitching about gachashit.
Oh, I'm so sorry for judging a phone game based on its game parts. Do you genuinely, unironically think the story can be taken as its own thing completely isolated from the fact that it's a fucking videogame? Is that a convenient excuse that makes you feel better about the end result that is the piece of shit called FGO?
The fact that it's a phone game rather than a VN is the main reason why the storytelling is mostly dialogue based rather than having proper fucking narration.
>Actual TM fans in Japan love FGO
>Filthy gaijins who want to pretend to be OG TM fans refuse to accept change
all the so-called "TM fans" in this thread are fakers
