Hibike cast silence

First I was kind of skeptical but as days pass, I starting to get worried. All four girls have been completely silent in their twitters, when they four were pretty active before the arson.

Ayaka Asai (Hazuki's VA) particulary stands out, she twitted or retweeted like 7~9 posts per day, but after the arson absolutely nothing.

I just hope I'm being just fucking paranoid and their agencies asked them to remain silent for respect or something... Because, I don't even want to think about the worst, that'd be just too much.

RIP

A few of the typically active Jap accounts I follow have been pretty quiet too, and they were nowhere near KyoAni. They might just be in mourning.

VAs have other roles though. I'm sure all 4 of them have other characters they play so there's really no reason that they should have been there since I don't think anything Hibike related is being worked on at the moment. Did they even do VA work at the building that was burned? I don't know if anime studios have their own VA studios or if they do it in a separate studio.

>Tomoyo Kurosawa (Kumiko)

>Chika Ansai (Reina)

> Ayaka Asai (Hazuki)

It was confirmed that NHK news were in Kyoani's building for an interview, that's why most of the main staff was there, the only way the girls where there is that something about Hibike were asked and they were part of the interview. The chances aren't zero.

Last I heard, anons were saying that that particular studio did have a recording room, but I haven't looked into it, myself.

Attached: 1523313055143.jpg (574x695, 95K)

Especially given that a new season of Hibike was announced recently and some of the VAs were allegedly promoting the announcement on various shows last week.

My conscious mind keeps trying to reassure me that they weren't there and they likely weren't, but there is enough circumstantial evidence to justify the paranoia.

I want to see sapphire burned to half-dead.

I doubt they got hurt since almost all victims were kyoani employees, but they are probably in shock. Not to mention that their agencies likely told them to be silent.
Would you be tweeting frivolously if 30 of your friends and co-workers just got murdered horribly?

Tomoyo will stream for FIVE STARS on nicovideo at 6:30AM Monday Japan Time Zone, if FIVE STARS twitter doesn't post a image of the fucking stream (they always do) i will kill myself

Well, a lot of seiyuus have sent their condolences by some social network, some of them equally involved with Kyoani in the past like Aki Yoyosaki.

The weird thing is that all four have been silent, the more people, the more improbable that at least one breaks this situation sooner than later, but that hasn't happened yet.

>音
>Sound
>room labelled 音 with a body in it
Fuck. It's probably not one of theirs, but it's not helping my paranoia.

It's definitely a voice recording room:
jisho.org/word/音声
jisho.org/word/収録
jisho.org/word/室

We have no real reason to believe that any VAs were in Studio 1 at the time, and production for the new Hibike has not started yet. At the very least, Tomoyo Kurosawa and Chika Ansai have roles in other anime this season, so if anything happened to them, we would have heard something about episodes being postponed or cancelled.

>their agencies likely told them to be silent
This is the most likely explanation.

This seems to suggest that Ayaka (the MC referred to) is OK. If she's OK then the other 3 should be as well. I'm sure she's pretty emotionally buggered at the moment however, even moreso if she realises her fans are worried about her but she can't reassure them because agency silence order.

Even if that's a recording room, that image shows that only three people of the first floor died, unless they tried to escape climbing rather than going outside. In case they were there but managed to survive, they might be between the injured. And most likely lost their phones in the arson (making impossible to update their twitters)

It did, on the ground floor IIRC.

I just assume some are busy comforting friends and families of the victims for now. Plus, I bet a lot would find it in bad taste to make happy or mundane posts to social media in this time, and you can't talk about depressing stuff either. It's a hard time for everybody in the industry right now, I assume.

Someone in the sticky said confirmed deaths were so far limited to staff, so if that's true and they were there then they're at worst on the injured list.

Them not being there and being too grief-stricken to post and/or ordered into silence by an agency is still the most rational explanation however.

Tooru's seiyuu too. At least Takeda said something.

They don't want to sound insensitive, they're not as shallow as that hack Shinkai.
>So sad, Kyoto Animation burned down, I'm so sad. BTW, tomorrow is the premiere of my new movie.

Hibike is overrated as fuck, easily one of the shittier KyoAni anime.

I want hibikes to be SAFE so they can play the video games they starred in!

Attached: 1549669534142.png (605x630, 374K)

>unironically thinking seiyuu died in the fire
You guys are stupid. this was a PRODUCTION studio. so there was literally no need for any seiyuu to ever enter this building in the first place
Also, seiyuu are contractors who work for an agency. They don't work directly for KyoAni

Attached: annoyed yuu.jpg (1280x720, 97K)

Why should they care to begin with? Their roles in Eupho weren't their only roles anyway

At least Shinkai said something about them, meanwile Kyoani never said anything about other studios because they felt too cool for it

Toyosaki and Y.Aoi both made statements about the arson attack expressing their condolences, but I'm not sure about other seiyuu. I'm sure they think it would be disrespectful to talk about such an event especially so soon after.

See

I liked the first season a lot. Not so much beyond that

This is a first, no other studio in anime history has gone through this.
Saying that you're sad because X studio went bankrupt sounds more like sarcasm.

There's only a small chance they're not all OK. Paranoia is a prick of a thing.

I can't believe she's fucking dead

Attached: 2bArKgJW.jpg (512x512, 43K)

I can't sleep. I just want one of them to break radio silence.

Attached: 1519449989601.jpg (1920x1036, 119K)

Anzai Chika has a weekly radio series airing in 6 hours

I have been following Tomoyo since she voiced Itsuki in 2014. I can't. It's not obsessive VAfag shit, I didn't watch everything she made and I didn't care about her social media. Still, I always found her talented, she did well with an archetype I really dislike and had a developing range.
Fucking hell, fucking hell, when Origa died in 2015 I thought a lot about mortality since it was someone I followed for since the early 2000s and I remember having at l least the satisfaction that I would not have to see the newer talent go like I saw so many go since I was getting quite old, and I especially thought about Tomoyo.
This already such a fucking disaster, I was coping with the staff of KyoAni and now you tell me someone who isn't even their staff could be there? Fuck everything.

you can't break the silence when you are dead

It's a very real possibility that the Hibike VAs were present for a scheduled interview. The primary reason being that there WAS going to be a S3 for Hibike, just announced. Also the latest Hibike movie just premiered in USA theaters just last week. We know that NHK was planning to be there, that's why the security was turned off for the day by the CEO.

Attached: 1563150054955.jpg (540x651, 43K)

These are the facts:
>NHK were coming to do some interviews
>there were 6 non-Kyoani staff in the building when NHK hadn't arrived yet
>all the Hibike! Euphonium seiyuus are now completely silent after tweeting lots, Ayaka especially in the days before
>a new season of Hibike! Euphonium was announced last month
>a body was found in the sound recording room

These don't prove that they were in there and they most likely weren't, but those facts make for uneasy reading and easy paranoia fuel.

This is why you should never listen to doomposters. Imagine how much less stressed you would be right now if you only kept up with confirmed news and ignored all the paranoid speculation.

I noticed it myself

go away CNN

Like 99% of information is speculation these days, and that last 1% takes threads like these to decipher, so feel free to actually contribute if you're going to be here.

>that last 1% takes threads like these to decipher
No. I've been following multiple sources, and as much as I hate to admit it, reddit and fucking twitter (of all places) have been more diligent about sourcing, fact checking and logical inference than Yea Forums. Most of the misinformation has come from here and 2ch/5ch.

>have been more diligent about sourcing, fact checking and logical inference than Yea Forums
>Expecting journalistic rigor in Yea Forums
You're the one to blame for letting you be triggered by this place.

And rather than share that info here, you sit back and play critic.

S

The point is that Yea Forums has not "deciphered" anything so far. Every thread since the incident that was not just a sincere expression of mourning has been part of that 99% speculation you complain about. Even this thread is just a dozen anons making each other paranoid.

The info is literally in the first place where you would look on those sites, but you would know that already if you cared.

Tbh I have been paranoid on my own since day one.

How do I get information about this? How do I know it went on air without trouble?

We all have, but I've found that waiting for confirmed facts and following the outpouring of support online has been better for my mood than reading more paranoid speculation.

I don't know but it's called 安済知佳いちかばちか
agqr.jp/timetable/streaming.html

Kyoto Anim announced a new Hibike project a month ago and announcements, at least for the upcoming Free! movie, were planned that day.

It did, someone even died in that recording room.

Most of the staff of Euphonium was on the safe side, so I don't see the interview as being possible

Confirmed facts come from paranoid speculators camping on Twitter and news sites waiting for new information though

News sites have access to primary sources. Even twitter has attribution, so paranoid speculation can eventually settle on "A confirmed colleague of X tweeted they are safe". Yea Forums is one step further removed from those sources, and adds anonymity, ephemeral threads, constant trolling and a game of Chinese telephone to the mix, to the point where anons begin repeating things because they see them repeated constantly, therefore it must be true.

Four hours until the silence is either broken or deafening

She's just in mourning, right?

Counter points
>Key production staff of Euphonium is confirmed safe, wouldn't they be there for the interview as well?
>The studio Tomoyo took photos in was not KyoAni Studio 1 since it didn't have wooden flooring
>The lost in space anime has had no delays or weird behaviour which would be expected if one of their VA was missing

At this point, even if it's not Tomoyo, if ANY of the Hibikeks got fried I might lose it.

This, I'm pretty sure Kumiko's VA has at least two other roles this season so I doubt she would be in the building.

It's particularly worrisome for the KyoAni only VAs like Toyota Moe. But even then it's a zero dot one chance of them being there, and it could very well be the first floor, which is one where you are more likely to survive than 2 or 3

>>The lost in space anime has had no delays or weird behaviour which would be expected if one of their VA was missing
You can't dely something based on speculations, even if the studio already knew that Tomoyo was involved, we haven't had an official announce of the names (only close relatives must know). Delaying something like that would generate panic and alert (even more in their families if the body can't be recognized yet), because it'd be like 100% confirming she was in the fire. The only company that delayed something was David Production (Fire Force), and not because they had someone involved but because of the theme of the series.

Dude a big tragedy just happened.
You really think those 4 who were actually close with kyoani would be tweeting merrily about their food and cats when the people that they worked with for years die?

I am pretty sure the families already know, it has been 3-4 days

I'd have liked if they had tweeted ANYTHING past the incident, like "I'm devastated" or "I can't believe it" or anything like that.
There were so many other past Kyoani VAs who tweeted something. Hell, Tanezaki Atsumi (Mizore) posted "I can't stop crying, hope everyone's okay" after the fire, THEN went silent.
twitter.com/tanezakiatsumi/status/1151698383884566529

S3 of Hibike was just announced. The Hibike movie was released recently in Japan (and was released for a limited run in USA just a few days before the fire). NHK was scheduled to visit that day to conduct interviews, that's why many of the important directors were present as well. Yes, VA work was done in that building. You can see on multiple floor plans shown on the news that one of the rooms on F1 is labeled "voice recording room", and also that one dead body was recovered in that very room.

Of course KyoAni uses other dedicated recording studios for the main body of VA work as time, money, and convenience allows. But it's common for anime studios to have their own recording room to work on small edits/changes throughout the production process. KyoAni even more than others in fact, because they are known for taking on more than just anime production. They publish their own works, manage merchandising, fan events, and even run their own animation school.

Attached: 1563590490992.jpg (749x1020, 116K)

Of course they know, but technically the ones who can't be identified yet are still missing. So up to the DNA test results are delivered, all people different than the family can't do anything or say anything (that includes Lerche, who are in charge of Kanata no Astra, in case Tomoyo was involved)

Well on the bright side, even if they are there, they most likely did survive since almost all the survivors were on the first floor.

But what half?

Reminder that nothing (you)r way because (you) are a wretched person as am I. They are dead, everyone you liked is dead, especially Takemoto.

>especially Takemoto
No, I refuse to believe it.

Nothing guarantees they weren't on the other floors, or tried to climb up to escape.

That's Sakamoto user.

Or were in the upper meeting rooms already, preparing for the TV crew to record their announcement. If they were there at this time, it would be more likely to be for that occasion than to actually record stuff.

Dont wish others harm

The one near the Sakamoto plushie looked a lot like Kayano Ai.

Not even close. Get your eyes checked.

You okay user?

Figures that this would happen just as soon as I really start to love Hibike. Life is fucking hell.

Are these kinds of radios typically live or recorded?

They can be one or the other, but it is at least something

So will it be a week before we find out the casualties?

Theoretically yes, if not longer.

Well if in a whole week, none of these girls actually say something, and no new radio shows, niconamas or photos are delivered. Prepare for the worst.

Wouldn't that be right now then?

they covered the windows up from the inside?

I would assume it's recorded a week or so in advance in case the seiyuu gets a tummy bug or some other reason why she can't read it live.

Thank you user, the music relaxes me anyway.

It wasn't for the K-ON girl

Whos the one singing now? Really eases the pain.

I'm guessing Komagata Yuri, the one whose name is in the title

According to their Twitter she's still on, but we'll have to listen to it to know if it's actually live or not.

This is recorded most definitely

That's not their Twitter, that's just a bot announcing any radio broadcasts that has a iM@S VA
Anzai Chika also voices Aoba (coincidentally) in Million Live Theater Days

I would expect so, I think most radio interviews are prerecorded. Aki Toyosaki was the host of hers wasn't she? So she would have been live, but I gather if it's a guest they record it ain advance at a time that is convenient for the guest and just play the recording at air-time.

She is live right now, but her genkiness doesn't fit the current situation. Most likely recorded.

That's what it's looking like to me.

Yeah, fuck, still no update then, what the fuck is this

>Most likely recorded.
It absolutely is, no doubt about it.

Did she just mention Kyoani? If she did it sounds too positive to be recorded post-fire. If not it's my brain hearing shit because it can't translate Japanese.

Would kind of surreal to be hearing someone who is actually dead right now. But I know it's my brain playing me trick, I hope she's fine... damn.

It would be extremely poor taste, it is recorded, but it makes me a bit less worried.

I find it unlikelyt they would continue a radio show if said person had died in such a horrific way. Anime broadcasts have been postponed due to random unrelated tragic events in the past so I can't imagine they'd pull something like that.

If you're the radio guy and she is MIA but no-one has officially stated it yet what do you do? Do you air her as normal or do you cancel it and basically reveal that cause to worry? It's lose/lose.

They might not have been told beforehand though

Even if the studio is sure that the worst case scenario happened, they can't cancel this shows until the official list of deceased persons is announced. If they cancel before this, that would pretty much confirm beforehand that she was involved, making people worried without an official confirmation.

That's also a possibility.

shes fine

twitter.com/_ayaka_nanase?lang=en
She apparently played a new character in the latest movie, and she's still alive. Assuming her character would be sticking around for the new anime then it's potentially a good sign that they weren't there.

Loser mods deleted the other KyoAni thread. Maybe you wouldn't have such a problem with keeping the number of threads about this down if you didn't get rid of the sticky, you fucking hacks.

The main cast is only 4 people currently, even if she played a new character an interview for the series most likely would only include the four main as always.

She sure is talking a lot about Toyota Moe

Tomoyo Kurosawa and Chika Anzai are both voicing characters in Araburu Kisetsu no Otomo-domo yo this season. They both voiced in this week's episode. Those lines could've been recorded ahead of time, but we'll probably hear about it soon if there needs to be be a VA change for later episodes.

Attached: hongou cry.png (802x523, 556K)

>could've been

They record that shit weeks and months in advance.

When is the next episode?

For YuYuYu it was barely a week in advance at least, we know this because a certain VA of a certain MC spoiled an episode on twitter.

FIVE STARS TOMOYO TOMORROW GUYS THAT SHIT IS LIVE

Bonnie's English voice actress used to tweet about upcoming dub episodes occasionally, and sometimes they were in advance of even the Japanese airings of the episodes, so if they were recording the dub then you'd think the Japanese audio would be recorded even earlier.

>She is genuinely happy that Moe-chan will debut in her radio show or something.
This can not be happening, damn it.

Attached: why.jpg (512x277, 19K)

Kyoani was very obviously important to her - she cried from happiness athe fan event when it was announced that Hibike was getting a continuation.
She's probably just feeling extremely overwhelmed right now and is waiting for more information to develop.

Yeah, lets hope we can get some closure with this at least. She will be fine, but it will be sad to see her commenting on things.

i don't really follow hibike but is there something still unreleased? wasn't a movie released early this year? is there more? or at least there were plans for more?

Keep the thread alive so we can hear it together.

Seiyuu tweets are heavily monitored by their agency. Probably told to keep quiet.

They announced a third season I'm pretty sure. I don't know how far they're into production on it though.

They announced a new anime season last month. That's why people are worried, we are afraid the VAs were in there as part of the NHK interviews that were due to happen. They probably weren't, but the fear is there.

They have different agencies.

If this thread does survive the whole day there's also Ayaka's Dragolia Lost Radio happening tonight.
Granted that one is most probably recorded as well seeing as this particular episode will be aired at 28:00 thanks to some election stuff.

FIVE STARS Is live and paid bros, 570 yen subscription or something like that, but FIVE STARS twitter always posts a pic when the show stars, this Is from last week and this is their twitter: twitter.com/ag_five_stars?s=09

Shit, I'm feeling very sick right now after reading OP
I don't think I'll be able to hold after reading the official list of names of who died no matter who they are
34 people died

That's in just over 31 hours.

That one animator and the SFX artist who we had info on was already too much.
I mean, it will take less than the release date for we to know if the show is going on as planned.

> Did they even do VA work at the building that was burned?
Some, but the vast majority of voice work is done in Tokyo, because that's where the seiyuu are mostly based and many of them are working multiple jobs in any given season, so that travelling to Kyoto would be a burden.

Vivace is my favourite song from Hibike. I don't want to mourn for them when listening to this song.

That and the song from YuYuYu are not something that should be on anyone here's playlist.

I see absolutely no reason why she would be in Studio 1
Kyoani has said the production of the new Hibike contination has not yet begun, or decided on a format, and voice acting is something that takes place much later in production - even if they were in early discussions, there's certainly no reason for her to be present in the preproduction stage of a continuation.
I would think the cast being silent has more to do with the Barakasu rumor and the show's involvement in the arson's reasons. Their agency is probably stopping them from talking as the crime is being investigated.

*barisaku
Boy I butchered that

>trying to show they're fighting the established workplace culture of animation studios
>they all still get burnt to a crisp

;_;

Considering where the fire started it could just be someone who was on the bottom floor at the time and couldn't escape through the doors so they ran away from the fire. Probably paniced and went into the sound room and realised there's (probably) no windows out of that room and ended up hoping the fire won't get inside before it gets put out

I think the fact that the live event hasn't been canceled yet is a very good sign that she and the other Hibiki's are okay.
I think had she been affected by the fire, the moment her agent/talent agency lost contact with her and couldn't verify her safety, they would have cancelled the event ASAP citing "technical/scheduling difficulties."
I doubt they would wait till the very last second and cancel the event, doing such a thing would cause an even larger shit-show.

I wouldn't put it past Tomoyo if she wants to cancel her live segment though

>so that travelling to Kyoto would be a burden.
This is maybe, the better argument we can use in this moment. It's highly unlikely that four VA working in Tokyo with her agenda full can suddenly coordinate to travel to Kyoto just for an interview with a news channel. If necessary they'd have been asked to do it in Tokyo, they don't need to travel (same for VA work).

But at the same time, was even more improbable that all those coincidences which led to the arson happened, but they still happened. So, this time I won't feel relieved until I have undeniable evidence of their safety.

>voice acting is something that takes place much later in production
In Kyoani's case, most of it is done after the animation work is complete, or nearly so.

The only VA work that might be done during preproduction would probably be related to casting. Even promos generally aren't done until a series is closer to airing.

>I would think the cast being silent has more to do with the Barakasu rumor and the show's involvement in the arson's reasons. Their agency is probably stopping them from talking as the crime is being investigated.
This.

One seiyuu is basically confirmed dead, but nobody knows who she is.

>hibike
jesus this show is trash

Yes, that's what I'm saying. the fact that Tomoyo is even capable of doing or canceling the event at all means that she is safe, and by extension it wouldn't be a stretch to assume the other Hibiki VAs are safe too

The person who died int he hospital was also sound room so that is possible, if it was not this very person.
Anyway, from a witness' testimony, he was on the second floor, and in seconds it was impossible to see anything, he crawled to the veranda and then jumped.
Can anyone identify which place is this?
twitter.com/TomoyoKurosawa/status/1150708233226469377
Its obviously not 1 because it doesn't have wooden floors, but it seems to be KyoAni related, maybe?

Sauce.

>cancelling
>safe
If the show does get cancelled we wouldn't know if it's from Tomoyo herself or it's from the agency

The two other that died near the recording room were probably the recording editors

I guess that's true as well. We just have to hope the event isn't cancelled and that she shows up, and hope the other seiyuus are safe too.

She was happily practicing her roles while it happened

I'm thinking this might be inside Studio Lerche?
She's working on a show with them this season Kanata no Astra but can't be positive because I can't find any pictures of the inside

Someone died in the recording room =/= a VA died. Could have been a technician, or someone who ran in there trying to escape the fire.

The only argument that has been mentioned so far has been an "interview" with NHK, which might have been preparing some kind of documental about Kyoani I guess, but as this user says , is really unlikely that it included Hibike's VAs, even if Hibike was one of the topics of the interview. Another thing would be if the seiyuus were previously in Kyoto, but that wasn't the case (correct me if I'm wrong), all four work in Tokyo.

There is a Euphonium poster behind her

are you sure? looks like some idol group to me

That's not Euphonium
That's a RL idol group, Niji no Conquistador

Attached: niziconmain-16.35.44-1024x683.jpg (1024x683, 103K)

From the images and videos I've seen of Studio 1's interior, this doesn't look familiar to me. This might be a Kyoani affiliate office in Tokyo, as said, she primarily operates in Tokyo as do most VAs. I can't say for certain and it might just be wishful thinking, but I doubt this was at studio 1

>enter the room known to be an isolated room to escape
Hmm.

People get confused and panicked in a fire. They take wrong turns. Shit happens.

dubs>subs

by the time she found out what was happening it was probably too late
Gasoline smoke is so harsh on the lungs and covers everything in darkness.

To think that even a mere retweet in any of the four accounts would be enough to almost completely eliminate any suspicion, if one VA is okay, the entire cast shouldn't have been there. Damn it, fucking agencies.

Probably paniced and just wanted to get away from the heat and smoke

They were probably not there so they don't even think people would worry about their safety

It's probably the studio where she does her FIVE STARS.
She keeps using that hashtag (亜咲花に水やり) with these kinds of random video. 亜咲花 is the singer who does the live radio event one hour before she does her FIVE STARS. Most likely she meets her after Asaka finishes her show, does a random skit with her to upload on Twitter, then does her FIVE STARS.
twitter.com/TomoyoKurosawa/status/1138030834202472450

At least this thread is getting me progressively more convinced that they weren't there.

People have allegedly been tweeting at them asking them if they're OK.

Out of curiosity, are the Japanese fans as worried about them as we are, or is it just on our end?

Japanese users are just like us user, many are worried about them, and each time I check there is more. Its always worrisome to see someone stopping their tweeter schedule, even if you don't suspect they are in danger.

Damn. This whole situation is causing me so much anxiety. Not only do I mourn the deaths and injuries of Kyoani staff and have to hope certain staff members are okay, but now I have to worry if any of the seiyuus might have been harmed too.

The order to stay silent probably came before anyone was asking if they are safe and now they are just going to wait for official word on the people who died before resuming tweeting

They aren't really that different from us

Honestly I think it's just the English fanbase who are worried about the VAs
I think nobody in Japan even made the Eupho-in-Kyoto connection

Yeah

Attached: tweet.jpg (547x342, 31K)

Why the everloving fuck would you even make this post? Why not take three seconds to check twitter?

I did check Twitter, is edited to exclude 100s of posts where they're just saying how they love Tomoyo in this role and in this CD.
Regardless, even the ones in that screenshot seem to be guessing she's in shock over the incident, not directly involved.

Shit, now I'm even more worried.

>she's in shock over the incident
There's this too, on top of the agency stuff.

Some people these girls have worked with fairly recently just died horribly, and they may not even know for sure which ones yet. People need to give them some space.

Would you watch an anime that was literally the arsonist dying in the most prolonged and gruesome ways the writer could imagine, over and over again for twelve or thirteen 22 minute episodes?

that isn't what the gofundme is funding?

I sure that Tomoyo and the other VAs are pretty rattled. I read in another thread that Yui's VA Toyosaki Aki broke into tears on air talking about Kyoani. I couldn't find the clip or any evidence, so it might just be hearsay.

streamable.com/13wxa
She didn't exactly break down, but you can tell she was getting choked up by it.

It isn't. I watched(?) the radio

Oh, okay. Thanks for the links and clarification.

No, I would not.

Attached: head shake.gif (480x270, 639K)

That's not the extract where she broke down. That's a segment where she managed to stay relatively calm, she breaks in a different segment of her radio show, probably her own words affected her some minutes after that.

Well. Miku’s (moes friend) is tweeting like it’s a good day.

Is there a clip of that?

If it's made by KyoAni, I probably would. I watched the Endless Eight, I can watch that.

I would, as long as the deaths and torture techniques don't repeat

Apart from Hatta, every single person involved has not tweeted or made comments or confirmations. This is done to discourage people like you going around making retarded speculation threads and social media posts, in respect for all the families involved. If everyone who was safe confirmed they were safe then by process of elimination people would speculate who was dead, this is the worst thing possible for families involved until officials are 100% sure.

Which leads people to believe they were involved, which causes people to worry, which creates threads like this.

I'm pretty sure keeping your tits calm is very low on the priority list right now.

Why do you think you're entitled to any confirmations in the first place? Families involved takes priority.

>Apart from Hatta, every single person involved has not tweeted or made comments or confirmations
Do you realized that your basically contradicting yourself with your own post?

Which is why some families are having to go to the TV saying they don't know what happened to their relatives?
They are being overzealous over information and causing worries to both fans and family.

Did we ever figure out what killed 20 people in a stairwell leading to an unlocked door?

Smoke

Smoke and chaos.

Thick toxic smoke, panic, and heat.

Yeah, I know, but the average person can open a door quicker than they'll fall unconscious from smoke inhalation, though?

Are you retarded?

Do you not understand English, do you know what the word apart means? Are you fucking retarded? The President of the company made statements to press, he is the only one who has confirmed his own safety by doing so, he did not disclose any other confirmations with his media statements.

This is literally standard procedure with every type of mass disaster event like this, yes obviously relatives want information as fast as possible, but giving out false/wrong information is much worse and is not something that can be rushed, especially the state of bodies where dental records etc need to be examined for sure confirmations. It's honestly just common sense, yes the fans are anxious but there's no helping it, there have been cases in the past where bodies have been misidentified which led to some very awful results.

Can't see shit because of smoke and if the one in lead passes out it makes it very hard for anyone else to get past

Attached: 1563617133868.webm (320x240, 2.44M)

enphasis on the word PANIC

did he dieded?

When survival instincts kick in and people panic they lose all reason, most of them at least. You would literally trample your friends to death in order to survive.
See: youtube.com/watch?v=xZAECFkP6oA

Not with the sort of smoke and carbon monoxide that would have been hitting these people. See the video ? See that spiral staircase in the background with some glass at the top? That staircase goes all the way up to the third floor. The glass connected to the ceiling is an anti-smoke measure. However it's not designed to deal with the sort of smoke produced when someone pours a bunch of gasoline on the floor and ignites it in a fireball that engulfs a big chunk of the first floor immediately. So by the time they figured out what was going on, a ton of smoke and shit would have been pouring up that stairwell like a chimney to fill the third floor.

This plus there being no firedoor between the floors and the main stairwell meant the smoke went straight for the rooftop door, AKA their only exit. Because the ground floor was completely conflagrated they had no choice but to go sideways (out a window) or up. Some of them went out windows, but most of them thought up would be better than jumping from a second or third floor to concrete. In their panic they didn't think that the smoke would be funneled into the stairwell.

>Moving the goalposts.
You basically said that every person "involved" hasn't tweet. And that's exactly the genesis of this thread and general worryness: "We won't even want them to be involved".

But, hey, you magically interpreted this in your brainless head as the contrary, an it doesn't even make any sense. The more silent you stay, the more room you leave for speculations, when a simple commentary in any of their twitter accounts was enough to discard any suspicion.

Is he okay?

Doesn't look like he is on fire when running so probably just had some mild burns

What the fuck are you even saying? Try reading the posts you quote before you respond fucking retard. I literally explained the reason for social media silence. It's like you have 0 understanding how anything in the world works and lack complete common sense. Not everything is about you and your entitlement in your mothers fucking basement, the family members of those involved outlays your need of validation.

You explained the reason for social media silence of those involved. There is no reason to be silent if they weren't involved, ergo by being silent it creates the impression they were involved even if they weren't.

There is no reason to talk to this user. He greatly admires Japanese autism regarding information distribution. There have been past recent events where such treatment of information has led to the harm of the public standing of involved people such as when that Idol from NGT was assaulted and the obvious cover up from the management led to half hearted statements from all sides and basically destroyed an entire company subdivision. It allowed time for further cover ups and by the time the information was reported public will to change the company was lost.

In this case there is no harm no foul in waiting to release the information, no ones careers are going to end and any charred bodies or burn victims aren't going to be healed by it. Conversely, If one of the related people mentioned here have moderate to severe burns and the rest are fine, and their company has induced this silence then it does simply cause undue stress and paranoia due to Japanese autism.

If fire are particles moving really fast, wouldn't staying immobile make you immune to it?

What has most likely happened is, when police got involved they notified whoever is in charge, Hatta in this case, for staff to not have communication with the media until an official statement can be made - in respect for all families and parties involved. I'm sure there's also legal reasons here too.
What then happens is Hatta will send out a mass contact mail, via line/sms/email whatever they use and all related members including VA's they are currently using or whoever is part of this staff mail list will have received it.
Even if you look at the previous old confirmations, for example the guy who confirmed Yamada's safety, he had to tweet again later saying he regretted making that confirmation as he had a lot of media try to get statements from him regarding it and he has caused Yamada trouble from the tweet itself.

The problem is that some VAs spoke, which is what caused this whole paranoia in the first place.

Who spoke up so far?

I heard that whoever the VA was for Mizore (Hibike) tweeted something

There was also Ayaka Nanase who voiced a character in the new Hibike movie.

Lol so fucking what? Just because they played a role in X show that concerns the motive of the incident means they need to fucking tweet about it and shit and think some sort of revelation will be unveiled? Jesus Christ.

is hibike season 3 dead in the water now?

first part is more like: I cant stop crying. Please be safe everyone.

All ongoing and future projects are dead in the water or more aptly, dead in the fire.

Gee, user, what do you fucking think?

It is ok.
Her lesbian friend Nozomi is 100% certified alright.

It's quite possible now that I think about it that a single seiyuu died in the recording studio. This might lead to the radio silence from the others, but continuation of the radio shows from those still alive.

Just paranoiaposting along with the rest of you

Wasn't the recording studio one the one who died in hospital? If so he was confirmed male wasn't he? I'm not sure, I'm going from memory of the sticky, which may not even have been real info to begin with.

Is that the spiral staircase?

Yes, right in front of the foyer.

Fuck you and that filename

so are they alive or not?

Probably.

Approaching justice would be burning his limbs off slowly one at a time, but you know, we don't do that stuff anymore, except to innocent people.

Most likely their managers/agencies told them to not say anything for now.

Oh no, it's that Electirc Catalougue anime isn't it?

No, you would have to be a complete loser to want that.

Nah. It should be live action.

No, and in all seriousness nobody past the age of 15 should be thinking like this.

They have work outside Hibike. If anyone of them is reportedly missing or even dead, it will make a huge uproar and many franchise including them would be affected. Especially Tomoyo and Chika since they have a role in Araburu Kisetsu this season

>been fucked by fat old men left and right
>finally landed a role
>killed by some autistic fatfuck
That's sad. I'd kill myself again.

On the one hand she could be the person who died in the recording room, potentially ruling out them as one of our Hibike girls, but on the other hand it proves that there were seiyuus there, which isn't reassuring. The radio stuff is helping me lean more towards that they weren't there, but tomorrow and proof can't come soon enough.

the bathroom?

Kurosawa Tomyo at least is in 2 shows this season so we would notice if she stopped existing.

Not immediately. She'll have recorded far enough in advance that we wouldn't notice anything until probably after the casualty list comes out.

Sugita still silent as well?

His twitter hasn't made new posts but he's liked posts that were made after the incident. He's daijobu.

Not unless a spoopy ghost is the one doing the liking.

Why do people keep asking about him? He was only in Haruhi and not in any recent Kyoani show.

>security guard stopped people from leaving
Every fucking time.

Attached: DPf68IIW0AELeWh.jpg (1200x675, 119K)

They are just wondering why he doesn't tweet any condolences message yet even though Haruhi and Gintama was his biggest role

Social media isn't for everyone. Nothing wrong in tweeting condolences but it shouldn't be considered a duty either. A genuine reaction is best, whether it's a sad tweet or silence.

What is the lives of 4 women against the lives of 34? I'll gladly trade these seiyuu to see 34 survive instead of die.

Hi kiritsugu.

Kyoani hired their own VAs as well?

The VA's have other commitments don't they? If they are killed/injured any other shows they do would have been cancelled/delayed

Not this early. Any dialogue they've recorded will be at least a few weeks in advance. If any of them were involved by the time their other roles started getting affected we'd already have the casualty list.

the metal fucking cabinet melted

You'd think some of those people would comment right? Not in Japan where everything that doesn't look fluffy gets shoved under a carpet

Just woke up. Did that one seiyuu do her radio show already?

It turned out to be recorded days beforehand

I'm not sure if Ayaka did, but I assume she did. Chika did hers yesterday, but upon seeing it it was obviously prerecorded. Moe is scheduled to appear on FIVE STAR tomorrow, which is live, so if she turns up then we're in the clear. If not we can worry some more, though I would understand if she cancelled it given that some of her colleagues that she was no doubt looking forward to working with again have died horrible deaths.

This is the most retarded thread I've seen. The seiyuu don't record in an ANIMATION studio. They record in completely different places. There was no reason for them to be even be at the scene.

They're all just being silent because they have a deep link with KyoAni.

See

...

Take a look at how relatively small the office actually is and now imagine 19 (?) people on one stairway up to the roof. They also have been in zero visibility and right in the midst of toxic fumes and the heat rising up from the lower floors through the stairwell. All it took was the first one or two persons at the door (if they made it that far) to collapse before finding the handle, while all the others pushed forward. Maybe the first ones weren't even able to move anymore, similar to the Hillsborough disaster:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillsborough_disaster
Same with the Station Fire in the US:
youtube.com/watch?v=udVrQSHm8mg

If a group of people rush to one single point, disaster may unfold, and in this case, this single point was also the deadliest point on that floor.

>涙とまらんどうしようみなさん無事でいてください
Poor girl sounds really distressed.

>There is nothing I can do.
Almost sounds as if she knows they're not safe.

Oh, they will. They will.

Hope so, too. Don't give him a long fall.

I saw a thread on 2ch with elevens discussing how they'd punish him. I advocate handing him over to some dedicated otakus and setting up a livestream.

Tell the nips to watch Reservoir Dogs for some ideas:

youtube.com/watch?v=PGqB6JIUzBo

They announced the last Cinderella Girl Live for 7th and for the first time since she was cast Tomoyo will not be appearing. Maybe she was killed in the fire.

More likely that she's taking time off to grieve for the Kyoani staff she was looking forward to working with again on Hibike S3, but that along with isn't doing my paranoia any good.

She's prolly dead. RIP Moyochi.

That's just a shit translation. She is wondering if there's something she can do

She says "i wonder if there's anything I can do", that's poorly translated. And first sentence is "i'm literally crying, I hope everyone is safe". So doesn't sound like she knows anything

Dammit, Google, why does your translation have to be so shit?

Why do Kyoanifags think everything is about them?

I really doubt we would've gotten nonstop coverage if this had been any other studio.

This is the biggest tragedy Japan has faced in years, regardless of the studio, we would receive enormous coverage of it. It's kind of a really big thing over there.

>This is the biggest tragedy Japan has faced in years
Not really, anime is considered a niche and stigmatized hobby even in Nipland.

な is the sentence ender particle that directs the whole thing to yourself

No idea why google is so shit, often times it just completely ignores whole parts of the sentence.

This has nothing to do with anime you stupid fuck.
Attack of this magnitude are not normal in japan. Even simple car accident with a couple of dead people get plenty of spotlight and threads on futaba.

it's one of the worst mass killings the country has ever seen in peacetime

>ん is short for のだ
that makes zero sense here, it's just の

>This has nothing to do with anime you stupid fuck.
So this thread shouldn't be on Yea Forums then?

Oof.

It being a big tragedy has nothing to do with anime but the amount of victims. This you really need that spelled out for you?

>replying to obvious bait instead of just ignoring and reporting

No one on Yea Forums actually cares about the victims aside from their work in the industry, lets be real here.

See

Google translate is really good, but only for languages that actually matter.

Maybe if you're autistic

As peole have said it's a rare mass murder, it's not like the USA where this happens every Tuesday.

It's a pretty hard to process thing. Not everyone's first response is to reach outside themselves to try to connect with others. Some go inward and become isolated and the risk is that they may never come back out.

Nips smile when they're told to smile and act sad when they need to act sad, asian autism at work, sad but true.

who

You stupid motherfucker

So uh, a VA died but she wasn't ant of the four? Is that what happened?

The one who died was only in the recording studio, which isn't even meant for VA recording, it proves nothing, probably trying to get away from the fire. Hopefully

But what about

>VA died
That was just a mere rumor at this point.

Like I said, hopefully I can't believe I'm saying this, wishing people survived just because I know some more than others when there's a set number of victims and I wish everyone was safe instead. Maybe shitpost anons were right, I am a piece of shit.

VA dying was just fan paranoia due to there supposedly being NHK interviews that day, the corpse in the recording room, and complete radio silence from many of them.

I know this is not the right time but I find the name Moe Toyota extremely funny.

I think it's a completely normal behavior, wishing for the survival of someone you know more than that of someone you don't.
It's just human nature.

People have been joking about it since 2013

It's not abnormal. Look at it this way, you're a piece of shit, but humans are just pieces of shit in general through that lens.

You get used to it.

Perhaps. It's so fucked up, I cried for 3 days straight now I'm drunk, it's the only way I'm getting through this. I hate fate for taking them away and I hate myself for not dying in their stead, they deserved a happy life for bringing joy to so many people.
In the grand scheme of things, the people that died were not.

Let's say you went to work tomorrow and a snackbar burned your office building down, should some bishojo in Japan care and mourn your death if they had no idea who you were?

That's not the same, I was talking about the people involved that brought me anime, as in I'm glad that the VAs weren't hurt but that means that more of the staff are dead. It's not fair, why is god like this.

Attached: 1505839070203.jpg (500x500, 162K)

No one seems to have mentioned this in this thread yet so I will just say according to >animenewsnetwork.com/news/2019-07-20/kyoto-animation-president-hatta-considers-demolishing-1st-studio-building-building-public-park-with-monument/.149180
KyoAni had a new Violet Evergarden episode slated for September and a movie slated for January 2020 and a Free! movie slated for summer 2020. New Hibike and Kobayashi seasons are (were) planned but seemingly no date was set yet. With the foregoing in mind, the new Hibike anime project is probably not gonna be finished until winter 2020. I don't know how accurate the ANN information is but I don't think that an nterview with some of the Hibike VAs involved would be made so soon. What would be the reason for that? One more reason to doubt their presence in that building on Thursday.

See This thread is already over.

This is not murrica where everytime a tragedy happens every celebrity and not needs to tweet about their pain and condolences.
There is this thing called respect, and it often coincides with silent mourning.

Nobody wants them to do that. They want them to confirm that they're okay and not dead.

Well that's just one of them but good news anyway.

God damn you're stupid.

No. Just give me a stream to his hanging and we're good.

Ayaka's radio should have aired by now
Couldn't listen to it myself because unlike Chika's radio yesterday it looks like you can't access this radio site overseas, but I have a good feeling this was yet another recorded event

None (NONE, 0, Zero) of the 4 mains in Hibike have wrote anything in twitter since the 17th
twitter.com/TomoyoKurosawa
(There is a pic listed as 18th but the tweet was made the 17th twitter.com/TomoyoKurosawa/status/1151646796143218688 )
twitter.com/Anchika_manager (14th)
twitter.com/toyotamoe (15th)
twitter.com/a_ayaka0511 (15th)
I'm not saying all 4 are dead, but there was 1 body in the recording studio on the first floor (btw whoever it was died alone and burned alive). ONE of them is the most supected person to be in that recording booth.
I don't like to bring the bad news, but the things are like that. Someone of them is the missing person and the rest aren't tweeting because of grief and respect (and companies telling them not say a thing).

I would assume the series is somehow involved in the investigation

Where?

Yeah she's not crying or sad or pretending to be. Deal with it.

>Yeah she's not crying or sad or pretending to be. Deal with it.
Yeah no shit she isn't. Are you actually such a self involved faggot that you take pictures of yourself crying over tragedies?

She isn't crying and is in a good mood to whore with others.

cute grills

they look as tiny as saffaiah

>that girl in black

Japanese is highly depending on context, and the lack of personal pronouns isn't helping. Whenever I try to translate something through Google, it randomly puts "I", "you", "we" or the like in the text, while it is rather obvious for a human who it is about.

Thank you
*unzips dick*

Don't fap to her!

But I was refering to Uehara Ai from the other post...

Ok good

Their agency might just have them taxidermied.

But maybe I should... I love that kind of faces, like the one from Hikaru Aoyama, my 3D wife.

Been there, done that, had the opposite effect.

What about
If she's indeed dead and the tweet was deleted to stay in accordance with police requests.

RIP

What if it's all just stock photos to cover up that everyone died?

Second from left is cutest. Fight me.

After you, normie.

>a student of a voice actor school got a job at Kyoani and was sacrificed in the next incident
damm you google translate

She looks like Takeshi Kitano

I'm not the one who had sex. And it's normalfag, newfag.

>all victims were Takemoto and 33 idols
damm what was going on in there?

I-
I wish I could have protected them.

One of the infamous KyotoConflagration sex parties?

>ywn see these gorgeous legs animated ever again

Yamada didn't die, so it is not over yet.

They do have red eyes

>Closed finger peace sign
Since when is this a thing?

Might be a unit thing?

It's funny, that sign would have a totally different meaning in London

are they dead or not

Yes.

BBQ! Euphonium

Imagine Kyoani animators having to draw grilled meat for the beach episodes.

I know what you mean but I'd have thought people are intelligent enough to, well, hold their breath when going into thick smoke. A normal person can easily hold for at least half a minute, which is more than enough to get to the roof.

that's crossed, not closed

user..that's not a peace sign..

You misunderstand how quickly these things happen and the degree of panic that sets in when you’re aware your death is imminent. Go find some burning building videos if you’re interested.

If I ever get into a situation like that I can only hope I'll be one of the lucky few who'll be able to remain level-headed and therefore survive.

Guys, what does this mean??
twitter.com/DragalialostR/status/1152911319504498688

That's what I mentioned Ayaka's radio aired at 27:00 normally.

Most Burgers are taught fire safety in elementary school, not sure about other countries. Very few of us remember the stuff later in life, but this is a good reminder. Always should mentally identify where the exits or stairwells are when you go into a new building (school, movie theater, nightclub, etc)

Japs are taught earthquake safety instead

liveleak.com/view?t=a03_1469655001

>quick

what the fuck is 27:00

3am but written as 24+3 to show it's still on the previous day's schedule

then why theyve done lots of wars around the world

would infrared goggles help?

If a VA was hurt there would be industry rumours spreading already, the ones to worry about where the smaller ones like Moe, but she is confirmed fine. Its probably just their agencies being draconian.

recording studio is located different place, not kyoto city but uji city

The at this point incredibly remote possibility is that the four of them were there, with 3 of them making it out with or without burns and one of them dying in the recording studio, but makes me think otherwise. The recording studio death was likely either the student seiyuu referred to in the deleted tweets, a sound engineer technician, or someone who ran in there trying to escape the carnage.

I can understand them smiling and doing their usual jobs if they weren't in the building, but theres no way if they went through that and survived. Toyota Moe was not in that building.

At least he died happy.

That's my view on it. I know that the whole "show must go on" is a thing and all but yeah, she would have cancelled the appearance if she had actually been there and/or thought any of those close friends had become trapped and died in the building. The idea of them being there just doesn't make sense anymore.

Bankruptcy sounds a bit different since it would sound like the internal decisions caused it
But stating condolences towards a tragedy is fine. Id say his plug and timing is almost comedic

That image just filled me with dread

Stop trying to make this worse you fuck

I've been trying to learn Japanese off and on and I find that I can seemingly know what all of the words in a sentence mean but still not be able to really interpret what the sentence means. It's frustrating and I don't know how anybody ever learns it beyond growing up there but then again I'm probably just a brainlet.

You're a little late.

The trick is actually putting in effort and time instead of trying to learn it on and off, and not giving up after you find a sentence that you can't understand. Just keep reading a little daily and you'll get good eventually, guaranteed.

No update on that radio show? It's way past 27:00 unless it was referring to tomorrow.

...

You're in denial if you think there's no chance that they aren't dead. There were 6 non-Kyoani employeees there on the day and they weren't NHK staff.

People are saying that they could be in mourning, but given that many other VAs who've worked with KyoAni have voiced their condolences and that it's the entire set of four that have gone inactive, there's a good chance that they were together recently and dead.

If one of them spoke up, it'd be relief on the part of the others. But none of them have.

Do you think they stayed professional till the end, or if they started screaming hysterically and peeing their panties?

>in denial if you think there's no chance that they aren't dead
That's a triple negative, I'm too stupid to understand this sentence

Toyota Moe attended a live taping of a show or something within the last 12 hours. Her smile was forced and it looked like she had been crying a lot (red eyes), but she was there. If she had been in the building and/or thought any of those close friends had become trapped and died in the building she would have cancelled the appearance without a second thought. She wasn't in there, and if she wasn't there then neither were the others.

There is the remotest of remote possibilities that they were there and she just got out quickly and is being strong by attending the show literally days after a traumatic event that could have killed close friends, but the level of mental gymnastics required to believe that is far greater than following the now obvious logical signs pointing to them not being there.

>You're in denial if you think there's no chance that they aren't dead

>would IR goggles help in a room that is reaching 1000C
All you would see is white instead of black.

youtu.be/5A8P6LAY5dw

Watch from 1:20. They recreated the fire in a model mockup. Given the volume of gasoline used, it was likely that the smoke spread as quickly when scaled up.If you weren't out within the first minute, you'd probably be dead. Anyone who went up either staircase was fucked.

There are technically two possibilities:

They were in the building and at least Toyota made it out unharmed, with the other three either dying in the recording room, dying elsewhere in the building or making it out unharmed or burned or whatever. Toyota Moe has the strength to put on a smile and attend some idol event despite surviving a traumatic event that could have taken her friends' lives just days earlier.
Or
They weren't there at all and are being Twitter silent out of grief, respect and/or agent orders.

One of those is exponentially more believable than the other.

NHK surely has other film crews based in Tokyo, right? If they wanted to include the voice cast, why would they drag them all the way out to Kyoto instead of just filming them in their natural habitat?

It would make sense if we had the whole staff of Hibike there, but many are not among the missing like the director and designer.

>They were in the building and at least Toyota made it out unharmed, with the other three either dying in the recording room, dying elsewhere in the building or making it out unharmed or burned or whatever. That's extremely unlikely. In fact I would even be pissed off, if she's not canceling. At least don't show yourself laughing like nothing happened. But I repeat, that's so remotely abysmal that keep going at this point is just morbid.

That's exactly it. We're at the point where believing they were in there is the denial. Before Toyota's event there was some logical reasons to worry for their safety, but all that's out the window now with belief that they weren't there just being bloody common sense rather than hope.

Well, we hit the bump limit. We didn't get to let this thread live until Tomoyo's live radio, but I think we now all suspect the VAs to be well.
Hopefully they'll start tweeting actively again soon.

I am glad its finally over and the window is closed. This shit is already terrible, I don't need to be sucker punched with shit like this.
