The manga should just ditch the other four and go full on Nande koko ni Sensei ga.

set your harem romcom in the third year, right before exams and constantly bring up the fact that none of the main cast have time for romance because exams to have an objective excuse to keep the status quo intact
make the first heroine incapable of understanding basic emotions so she won't actively pursue romance for most of the story, because she will learn about emotions
make the second heroine deny her attraction to the MC far longer then it have any sense, and make her quite literary the keeper of the status quo (MC's love guide)
make the third heroine a childhood friend... that backs out every single time she has a chance, moreover make her give up halfway through
add a senpai character that doesn't really factor into the story that much, has no real chances or will to win, but has the most semi-romantic interactions because is only teasing her precious little kouhai
add a sensei character that has absolutely no chance of winning, but is pretty much his wife already (cleaning her apartment in irregular intervals, helping her with cooking, helping her with taking care of a child, seeking a new apartment with her, taking care of her while she is drunk, helping her when she has an accident in a public bathhouse, helping her resolve a touchy issue from her past, pretty much pick a chapter at this point and you have something that you can see a husband do for his wife, not a student for his teacher)
make the MC extra dense as the story goes on.

Harem RomComs are the equivalent of '90s American Sitcoms just with girls and love. Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Full House, Saved by the Bell, etc all follow these insane patterns and you just go with it. At least Bokuben gets meta at times (Nariyuki bitches that of course the phone would misunderstand and dial another girl or when each customer to take care of - cleaning houses, lingerie store, massage parlor - all happen to be ppl he knows because of course they are.)

Considering we've heard nothing about Y-sans this time around except for that one non-fuminofag that implied he sent in a few hundred and assume a 5% drop-off of voters from the 1st poll then the actual drainage would be reversed as that adds like 2k votes to the apparent total 4504 new voters meaning that over 90% of new voters voted Sensei. The justification for that conclusion? Sensei had much more material for them eat up by the time they voted.
