I might feel differently when I see it animated, but so far I think the more traditional looking blades are more aesthetically pleasing and realistic. Overall I think Shinobu's sword is unique without looking too weird so it's one of my favorites.

To play devil's advocate, all of these mistakes make me think this was a rushed release, probably due to there being more series the staff need to work on, since nowadays they pick up most new serializations as opposed to back in the day.

If you don't translate it, you don't translate any of the name, the half English/Japanese "Twelve Kizuki" is just dumb. Then there's the fact that this logic also has to apply to their status as Upper String and Lower String, these words are references to the phases of the moon so either they should be left untranslated or you have to translate them all so people understand the meaning. Either translate all of it or none of it, the half-assed mixing of whatever you are in the mood to translate in the moment is the worst possible solution.
