During my school days, I remember the Seven Mysteries of our school, and seeing Hanako-kun changed into something new gives me a somewhat nostalgic feeling. It’s a shame, but at that time we never gained insight into how our mysteries met, but in Kamome Academy knowing that the Seven Mysteries each have their own past makes me happy. The amazingly lovable work that Aida-Iro-sensei wrote, the fans who breathed life into the characters, and the fans who will come to enjoy the series from here on out, I hope that the passion we put into this work will reach you.

When I had first read “Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun”, the words Japanese-style, youkai, supernaturals, and ghosts came into my head. I already love this sort of thing, so I had imagined a scene of the characters talking and moving already in my head. It’s really good!! I thought that Studio Lerche needed to make this series an anime, and so I quickly consulted Square Enix. With the power of our staff and many friends, we’ve come this far. It seems to have a medium sized fanbase in Japan but once you get to western countries, it's virtually unknown. I think that the fact it only got virtual releases in english and no physical one isn't helping it either. Until like 6 months ago? Most scanlation sites only had it to chapter 5.

Kou and Mitsuba's arc is pretty much done.
the current arc which is Hanako's last chara development arc is in its climax so not much left for the main couple.
There is still Tsukasa and his hostages but the author has been setting them up for the last arc/Nene's arc.
The other two mysteries haven't appeared yet but not like it matters while Tsukasa's around so it could go much longer depending on how dark the ending is 'cause someone is definitely going to die
anyways, a chapter or some of Kou and Mitsuba fooling around would be nice.

The original 3 chapters did end up in a pretty sad way : Nene not been able to see supernaturals/hanako anymore so a sad end is totally possible.

There was a tumblr who used to translate it but when their translations started to get upload on scanlations sites, they decided to go private. Nowaday, the person translating the spinoff decided to take over the main serie.

Nene's imminent death flag is now a plot point so something will go horribly wrong to her specifically - since Hanako's already dead and actually vanishing would be a catharsis instead since it's another way to free him from his sins/curse.
the author could go with Nene being another school mystery end but that's too distasteful for me for what they already set up so far

There's also what happened with the mokkapocalypse : Nene curing the entire school and Teru saying she's a special girl. But maybe, that's just related to the mermaid curse/being Hanako's assistant. Having some answer on that one would be nice.
