It's not so much a second season. It was always planned to be 2 cour but they are doing the whole 1 cour break in between.

The character design of the monsters are cool, I would watch this anime just for that if it wasn't a trainwreck.

His name sounded like believe in liscar in my head, so he gonna be fun again in s2, I hope he do his dumbass strut again against the gang and get shot this time just for laughs.

The action between the fairies aka stands makes me cringe.

Strangely enough the best episode of this shit show featured a trainwreck.

I did but I probably won't bother with season 2.

Irozuku last year was pretty good, though I don't know how successful since I don't keep track of such things.

I think they fucked up with Fairy Gone, they had a setting which they could've made interesting but it feels like they actively avoided everything that could have been worth looking at in their setting. No interesting lore or even any world building about fairies, MC is borderline useless and directionless while the action just kind of happens with essentially no agency from her or any of the characters close to her, the whole fairy possession thing is never explored and essentially doesn't matter to the story and instead of any of that we get a generic tale of politicking shiteaters in not-Europe(+fairies). The whole fairy shit doesn't even feel necessary to the story. Maybe the potentially interesting elements will only appear in the 2nd half, but then again they made the horrible mistake of delivering a boring ass 1st cour which they followed up with a season-long break to make extra sure that any interest and connection to their setting the audience may have had is well and truly dead by the time the show is airing again.

Wasted potential.

They probably knew it was going to be trash so they split it up to try and salvage the 2nd cour.

In my view the main thing they fucked up was the first episode. Direction-wise it was an absolute disaster, with three flashbacks to the exact same event, and extremely muddled geography and timeline infodumped within the first 15 seconds. Later on in the series things kind of got better through sheer inertia.
