That’s not how it works dumb dumb. Josuke isn’t a fusion he’s parts of both Kira and Josefumi used to make a new person. The unused parts made up another body which was dead by the time the story started.

Josuke isn’t a ‘fusion’. If he were to ‘defuse’ it’d just be half of Kira’s corpse and half of Josefumi’s corpse. The other body died and was visited by multiple characters in the morgue.

Fun Fun Fun was an OK stand that led to a really giimmicky encounter, but I'd be lying if I didn't like Ojiro coming back with a tan and a vengeance.

It forces Ojiro to actually use it smartly, which is always interesting to read. In Araki’s own words, a villain turning their weakness into a strength is always scarier than a villain who is just strong.

That is basically why I'm excited to see him. The first time he had the advantage of setup and preparation. He had staked out Kira's apartment and laid traps. Now he doesn't seem to have had the chance to really give himself the terrain advantage, but he's got a hostage and he's contending with two people both of them stand users. It's going to be interesting to see how he copes with this and how he ultimately fails.

He's doing it all for the 4/10 Milf and I don't think it was worth it, but that's a hell of a motivation.

People talk a lot about how Diego is so much more sympathetic than Dio and how that makes him a 100 times better as a character, but he was introduced to us with "he married an old lady and may have murdered her for money”, which basically puts him at Part 1 pre-vampire Dio levels of douchebaggery to me seeing as that’s exactly what he did with George, aside from swapping adoption for marriage. And even if he didn't do it, everything Diego does throughout the story goes back to his greed for power and his issues with society and his desire to be powerful so he can stomp back against it, which is just a more sympathetic version of what Dio wanted as a human, when his big goal in life was to take George's money.

Diego has a bigger sob story than Dio and he is an underdog with something to prove, and he sorta gets a shot at redemption that the original Dio never could, but he's not really that different from Phantom Blood Dio. The chief difference between the two is that Diego's drive is to prove himself to classed society, where as Dio wants to take what he feels belongs to him. Dio directed his anger at his abuse and his mother's death towards his father, and Diego directed it at society. And Diego never gets a chance to transcend his humanity, and thus he stays a 20 year old obsessed with petty human things and with all of Dio’s issues but none of his grandiosity.

Yeah, I know that's how Diego fans feel, but I don't agree at all. I don't think sob stories immediately make a villain objectively better and I don't think Diego gets a chance to develop as much as a character. Dio has two parts where he is heavily present and one where he is all over the place despite not being physically there, while Diego is just kinda stuck on a supporting role in SBR. He is more nuanced than Phantom Blood human Dio, and he's a great character on his own, but he's kind of perpetually “stuck” in the more human ambition and mindset of human Dio. He never goes through all the shit Dio does, never develops any of the great character dynamics Dio does with characters like Jonathan and Pucci, never really gets to grow into this extraordinary force the way Dio does.

If you get hung up on the idea that Dio is inexcusable and over the top and therefore that makes him a bad character (which a lot of people seem to), then Diego seems better by default. But I don't, and part of why I love Dio is because he is so over the top and limitless, the way he’s so unrepentantly himself even though what he is is a monster. The way Araki never makes excuses for him but still draws him with a great attitude and still makes him a protagonist in his own right for Part 1, and how even when presented in a more sympathetic light like in Part 6, he never ceases to be Dio. As a whole I just find Diego kinda desperate and pathetic.

And, mind you, that's a good thing, because Diego isn't meant to be like Dio, just like Johnny isn't meant to be like Jonathan. Diego was Araki's chance to revisit Dio in the new universe and flip the script a little, fragmented the hero/villain formula without detracting from his more important plans for this new part and the new universe. But I don't buy into the idea that he is immediately objectively much better than Dio because he's got a sob story

Satoru might be the main antagonist but he seems more like a roadblock for both Josuke and Jobin to overcome before they themselves clash again.

Because Dio is a larger than life existential force of evil, and Diego is a 20 year old jockey. I don't say this to dismiss Diego, I'm pointing out that the key difference between the two, morality wise, is because of the roles they occupy in the narrative, and also has to do with Araki's changing tastes as a writer.
If Araki were to rewrite Phantom Blood with his modern writing style, Dio would be written exactly like Diego up until the point he puts the mask on.
This is part of why Alt Diego, despite being literally Diego, acts more like OG DIO than Diego. Because he has DIO's godlike overpowered stand, and is therefore starting to develop OG DIO’s lofty attitude and sadistic sense of showmanship, not to mention a penchant for sexualized violence.

ASB didn't have that much Part 3 bias. It had the essential characters and that's it.
It was EOH that really had a Stardust bias.

Besides Part 3 is the easiest part to make a fighting game out of. It's got the simplest Stand abilities that can still make for cool movesets, and it has some of the most diversity in terms of character design. Besides it's popularity, it's the part that most fits in the fighting game style.

You add Abbachio, Foo Fighters, Yasuho and Damo, making it 46 characters, which is still a lot but, hey, plenty of fighting games get bigger rosters, and at least things are more evenly distributed now.

Easy, make Yasuho a speedy long range character who manipulates the environment around her for keepaway, with lots of projectiles and traps to work with and lots of mobility options for her, as the trade off for her being weak physically with low stamina.
Yasuho and Paisley Park can do physical stuff, like when they attacked Dolomite and pushed him into the mud, or throguhout the Doctor Wu fight. They just aren't very good at it, but there's a lot of other stuff she can do.

Abbachio should be even easier because Moody Blues can fight, as seen in Man In The Mirror, and Araki even said Abbachio is physically the strongest member of Passione. Give him physical attacks, maybe incorporating his cop background, and then find a way to incorporate Moody Blues. Like maybe have Moody Blues be able to use one or several of the opponent's moves, or counter enemy attacks with them, and so on.

I feel the same and I like SBR.
imo, I think SBR is more about Gyro and Johnny's journey rather than the plot about the race and whatever. There's a lot of questionable things in SBR when it comes to handling the other villians/supportive characters like Sandman, Diego, Pants, etc but the actual main characters themselves are more or less fine.
I love that JJL is more focused on it's plot, and that every fight is meaningful and not "random fodder" tier like other parts. Every minor character gets their spotlight every here and there too.

He’s an asshole version of Sandman from another world that Valentine bribed into working for him, kinda like AU Diego. He first appears crawling out from under a door that was laying down on the ground, like what happens when characters are pressed between two objects to reach another universe with D4C, while Valentine himself is nearby. Soundman claims that ‘Sandman’ is just the name that white people mispronouncing his real name gave him, yet in chapter 1 all of Sandman’s tribe and his sister all call him Sandman. It’s never confirmed but the fact that his entrance looked exactly like how Araki would later go on to draw D4C’s ability while he was nearby and working for D4C’s user and functioning in a similar fashion to AU Diego who is confirmed to be a goon from another world and the direct inconsistencies in his backstory and Stand suggest he’s an AU Sandman. What sucks dick and makes me hate him though is that the real Sandman is never brought up again, probably unceremoniously killed off screen despite being the first character we’re introduced to in the story and one of the main POV characters in the beginning.

The whole point of that story is to showcase how Josuke was moved because of that guy's kindness. He was beat up and probably could have minded his own business, but he still chose to help someone else, and Josuke admires that.

Josefumi grafted two branches and when he harvested the fruits they were still on two separate branches, but in all the modern day stuff there’s only a single branch. I thought it might be because the second branch is still out there and the only people who knew about their being two are all dead, but the whole orchard besides the single branch was burned and in Jobin’s beetle room in the most recent chapter you can see two fruits budding on the lone branch.
