Literally who?
>Is always portrayed as a villain or demon lord in every anime, manga and game adaptation
Hi Yea Forums, maybe try watching some anime before you make a stupid post. He's also portrayed as a cute little boy or girl.
Or he is portrayed as a cool&badass uncle type of character.
Washi ja!
I'm here because someone mentioned cute little boys and girls.
Tell me more.
he killed millions
someone post the nobunagun webm
you know the one
Nobunaga was the Sengoku Era equivalent of a school shooter.
The Ikko Ikki were just hanging out on their mountain, not being bandits when Nobu just came along and set their house on fire and went full "If they can't eat cake, let them eat lead" on them.
t. Buddhist monk
Nobu Nobu
He's all of that but also a chuuni larper with some edgy sense of humor. Jap idolized him a lot and put him in villain roles just to add even more cool factors to him.
There's fair share of media portraying him as a visionary and a man misunderstood by his peers
t. Oda supporter.
From your post, I can tell you are a bad odor like Nobunaga
Either that or he gets portrayed as a fucking faggot.
It's terrible.
There is too many of them since Onimusha, they could make their own Nobunaga-verse at this point
Drifters is the best portrait I've seen of him, literally /k/ incarnate who probably creamed himself when he saw a Gatling at work
>The Ikko Ikki were just hanging out on their mountain
>implying
The ikko ikki were the branch davidians of their time sotring and amasing weapons and raping kids
Nobunaga did nothing wrong raiding that degenerate moutain
>Why is this allowed
youtube.com
He like, did burn down people and wrecked ninjas with his son.
Historical revisionism, user. You just want to support Nobunaga so you make up things like they would wear armour and conceal weapons under their monk's robes and disturb the peace by raiding places and stealing kids.
I know how you think and you're not going to pull a tricksy on me, user. I'm too smart for that.
Nobunaga is portrayed as a villain because he was a literal tyrant. I set your home on fire, serve me. Serve me or die. Join or die. Rebel and die. I'll fucking kill you over a tea kettle nigger
>kind and just warlord
Isn't that contradictory?
I don't really know, considering how he's been reported to have been in his early years, crossdressing, being a rebellious young kid and not focusing on his studies much to the point that his tutor comitted seppuku over how ashamed he was about how Nobunaga was turning out. Adaptions should play up that part of him more.

Let your hearts burn bright!
Let your passion scorch ablaze!
Gather it all together here and burn it all to ash!
>wrecked ninjas with his son
Ninjas did wrecked his son.
>I'll fucking kill you over a tea kettle nigger
But that's misrepresenting the situation. Matsunaga was going to get killed for being a faggot, he blew up the teapot because he knew Nobunaga liked it. It was one last "fuck you" to Nobunaga for bullying him.
>Matsunaga give me your fucking tea kettle
>No fuck you get your own
>His home gets set on fire
>Fuck you Nobunaga it's mine
>Last chance give me your fucking tea kettle
>Destroys tea kettle
>Dies
He torched a bunch of uppity monks who wouldn't chill the fuck out and stop being treacherous for more than ten seconds.
Nobunaga did nothing wrong.
Oh boy I can't wait for this to come out in 2 years.
He should have stopped being a faggot and given up the tea kettle now shouldn't he?
He knew who he was fucking and he knows Nobunaga wasn't fucking around.
There was also that one time where he got shown as a cool guy who just wanted to chill out with his little sister, so he let some random loud guy run the clan.
t. Nobunaga
Fuck off and get your own asshole.
Being westaboo is the biggest crime in ancient japan.
I liked Nioh's version of Nobunaga
No. I want your one. Give it to me or I'll blow your fucking house up.

>Nobunaga, Hideyoshi and Tokugawa were watching a cuckoo bird waiting for it to sing, but the bird wouldn't sing.
>Nobunaga says "Little bird, if you don't sing I will kill you".
>Hideyoshi says "Little bird, if you don't sing, I'll make you sing".
>Then Tokugawa Ieyasu says to the bird "Little bird, if you don't sing I will wait for you to sing".
Who do you agree with?
youtube.com
Sekiro threads should be like this.
I never really liked this, since, given history, it seems to imply Tokugawa took the right approach. However, he was only able to do all he did thanks to Nobunaga and most of all Hideyoshi. Tokugawa is more of a "Little bird, if you don't sing, I'll wait for the others to make you sing and then steal you away from them and claim I did it".
Fuck off, Yea Forums. When will you stop sucking that cretin's dick?
>They just got lost on the mountain. I'm sure they'll be back down soon.
Nobunaga
Ieyasu
Hideyoshi
In that order. It solves the issue by killing it, waiting for it costs you nothing, Hideyoshi's one requires both cost and time.
>Oda "I empty my nine during prayers time" King of the 6th Hell Nobunaga
>Oda "Takeda Undertaker" King of the 6th Hell Nobunaga
>Oda "Got The Matchlocks On Lock" King of the 6th Hell Nobunaga
Underrated as fuck and fun as hell show
Almost every anime still portrays him as a cool badass warlord, nips writer clearly have a boner for him.
There's also the times when he gets genderbent
This.
I'm not really a fan of Tokugawa since he just sat around on his fat ass and waited for everyone else to do the heavy lifting for him. He's pretty much the textbook example of being in the right place at the right time.
That's not to say Tokugawa wasn't a clever man, since he was. And he definitely wasn't as big an asshole as Hideyoshi, since Hideyoshi actively fucked the system that put him where he was.
Show me a cooler Nobunaga.
That's right, you can't.
Psycho Crusher Nobu
Because he was a brutal psychopathic murderer who legitimately enjoyed killing as many people as possible and thought violence was the solution to everything.
Go read Japanese history instead of getting all your knowledge from anime.
>Nobunaga, Hideyoshi and Tokugawa walk into a bar
Super Sayan Nobu
Nobu is just Japanese Ivan the Terrible.
Indeed.
Andrew Jackson would be a closer analogy
>Genocided dozens of clans and destroyed several cities for nothing but a narcissistic, childish delusion that he deserved to be ruler over everyone on the archipelago, ushering in 3 centuries of autocratic, stagnant, repressive, and illegitimate micromanaging bureaucracy
Daily reminder that provincialism is the only legitimate form of cultural-political grouping, nationalism is and always has been a stepping-stone towards imperialism/globalism, wiping away traditions and communities in favor of a top-down government artifice claiming ownership over what were and by rights should still be distinct, self-governing peoples.
Titty sucking Nobunaga best Nobunaga
>that time he took a nigger in because his skin color was black and that was funny
>uses skulls as cups
>collects dead bodies and buries them to then collect the necessary parts for gunpowder
Fuck you, we could have had a real state of warrior monks but instead got centuries of nothing until the west forced japan open.
>>that time he took a nigger in because his skin color was black and that was funny
>made him take a bath in front of him
>was surprised when the black was actually his skin and didn't wash out with the water
That was probably a fun anecdote
>made him take a bath in front of him
GAAAYYY!
>first black guy he's ever seen
>nephew gives him reparations immediately
>make him strip naked and wash because it's obviously a joke
>it's his real skin color

>First White Samurai is a lone survivor sailor that immersed in the local culture after getting shipwrecked, became a renowned mercenary tactician, and earned the accolades and position
>First Black Samurai is some random slave a warlord took pity on and made an honorary guard, and he was shit at it seeing how said warlord got assassinated on his watch
Really activates the almonds, huh?
Ivan made his own hell.

Why do animu girls over-react so much to the weakest stimulus? Way more than porn actresses.
Porn actresses are dead fish, anime girls are perfect 2DQTs you philistine.
>porn actress has to empty a lube bottle before every scene
I have literally only seen positive portrayals tho
Setting aside if he was cruel or just, i think we could have a different Japan than it is today if he managed to unify the country. Also, as he is portrayed to be disliking the tradition and the divines, he could have murdered the emperor and abolish the monarchy.
Who was the first white samurai? I know William Adams was ones since he ended up broing it up with Ieyasu after he told him the Portuguese could go get fucked. I'm just not sure if he was the first.
FUCK TOKUGAWA AND FUCK MONKEY NIGGERS
MITSUHIDE WAS FRAMED
Oda was too cool for his time.
Warlord =/= warmonger. It is just another name for military general.
>also fuck monks
I hate you asshole
Not just anyone’s skull, but the skull of his Brother-in-law
Based
Monk fags mad cause they suck shit at fighting
>set an entire mountain on fire to brutally murder innocent monks
>kind
He's literally Japanese Hitler.
those """""monk"""""" is as corrupting as fucking bandit
Imagine thinking this isn't the greatest depiction of Nobunaga ever done
Nah man, there weren’t any monks on that mountain. They all lived in the village at its base where they fucked women and ate meat and fish all day. Its true. There was an archeological dig not too long ago that unearth almost no human remains for what should have been a monk holy site if they truly had been burned there
>Nobunaga no Chef
Because Ieyasu won and like every victor ever demonized who came before him.
The tea kettle was the last straw.
Nobunaga had previously blown up Matsunaga and forced him to serve him rather than killing the guy several times despite the fact Matsunaga always tried to betray him. Just to have a chuckle.
There's a reason Matsunaga is remembered as the man who dared to defy Nobunaga.
>monks
Let's not forget Ieyasu won because Mitsunari was a retard when it came to making allies and even then he had to take a suicide gamble to win at Sekigahara because his son was being retarded.
The monks were basically just crazy bandits hiding behind religious symbols. Killing the women and children too sounds brutal, but cutting the problem at the root was standard protocol for every warlord at the time and Oda was only special because he relished his reputation.
If Nobunaga had won Japan would never have gone into seclusion.
>yfw if Nobu managed to survived his assassination, he'd go full imperialist and try to conquer nearby nations and make rape of nanking look like date rape
>monks
>innocent
Hideyoshi couldn't even beat Korea.
Reminder Nobunaga's wife married Nobu under her father's orders to get close enough to murder him but she fell in love instead.
What a fucking chad
>four century old feuds from Japan have not only survived but are increasing in strength on international masturbation collectives
This isn't such a bad timeline.
Romantic.
But the monks were supposed to be celibate! How can you kill women and children when there shouldn’t be any on the mountain in the first place! Clearly it was another lie to demonize the true hero of the era
Did his troops and retainers do much raping?
fucking a passable shota trap isn't gay
Can’t really rape anyone when you kill them all
If I remember right, William was practically only samurai by title, serving as an advisor and was prevented from going home.
Yasuke was more of a warrior than William ever was, but William had more succes.
So Yasuke was for unga bunga whereas William was in command?
More like
>Ieyasu : "I'll wait for the other two to make you sing"
Yeah he has such an unfair treatment, he was pretty much the Jap Napoleon. Master in tactics , undefeated, master in diplomacy and wanted to open up Japan to the world stage by using western technology and science.
The only thing that is pretty sad is that he was put in a feudal country when he was clearly a conqueror of a far greater caliber. The feudal values which he had learned tempered him to be hard as steel, but also taught him how to subvert them and learn the byzantine art of deception that was so common in Japan feudal politics. If it had been him ruling instead of Hideoshi, he would have steamrolled Korea and east Asian history would have been very different.
Yasuke was for entertainment.
William was for building ships and trading with the dutch to avoid the christcuck portuguese jesuits.
William probably couldnt even hold a sword and never saw a single battle.
I know like 4 different times where he is portrayed as a cute/cool girl heroine
I think i heard this one in a VN.
majikoi
Oh yeah.
>but not before I kill your family
>willingly raising another man’s son so he can rule over you
Did monkeyman really think Ieyasu was this stupid, after all the shit he pulled off?
>warlord
>not a villain
retard
Nah tokugawa almost lost the struggle. Even with all that shit and betrayals going on mitsunari' side, they've managed to punch through in the segikahara.
The tokugawa's strength was that his family was well established in the region, and he had hereditary vassals of centuries in servitude. While both oda and especially hideyoshi were the new blood.
Even though oda had a big family most of them died in the power struggles.
The irony of it that oda destroyed the takeda just like that, where the takeda's rise was just because of the shingen's prowess and they had nothing except him and fallen because of numerous treacheries just after his death.
>Some other daimyo comes up with a chuuni nickname for himself in a letter to Nobunaga
>Nobunaga sarcastically dubs himself "Demon King of the Sixth Heaven" to mock the overdramatic titles everyone gives themselves
>it sticks and he is forever known as the Demon King

Was he the edgy outcast high school anime protagonist of the sengoku jidai?
this is your nobunaga for today. Say something nice about him (female)
Insufficent hopes and dreams.
I don't know shit about jap history, but
>Trusting the fucking ATF, ever
Because he brought a gun to a swordfight, literally and figuratively. His tactics were so at odd with the japanese mindset of the time that he got vilified for it.
I wonder what he'd think of all this.
Cute Nobungas are best Nobunagas
Takeda cavalryfags btfo.
Tokugawa's the perfect example of how guys who know how to foster meaningful alliances and pay attention to diplomacy can come out on top. Nobunaga and Hideyoshi can get fucked. Tokugawa a best.
Unironically the best nobunaga story i've read so far
new chapter when
>Ikko Ikki
They are a goddamn bandit dress as a fucking monk. It's retard to called them a monk at all.
neck yourself
Here is the irony part, Nobunaga is in truth a loyalist, lmao.
Nobunaga no Chef is my favorite Nobunaga so far
>if I just say "history is written by the winners", I don't need to make up an actual argument for doubting it!
>Nobunaga concerto
The movie ending was bullshit. I hope this manga doesn't end like it.
>If you don't make me yummy food, i'll kill you.
What the fuck is his problem?
It's missing the best nobu
If you are talking about a game then in the end he still turned into a literal demon, albeit against his will.
See is nice and sweat but I like Akechi more
Would be problematic to include him.
The singer in the OP did get arrested for weed after all.
Male Nobu >>> female Nobu
>arrested for weed
Oh my god how heinous, japs can rest easy knowing that a fiend such as that guy is off the streets
Tea man was so good.
Jules Brunet. A french military officer.
Protect that smile.
He's like the Freddie Mercury of Japanese Warlords.
Mercenaries who fought alongside Nobunaga brought the most guns and then later brought them against Nobunaga.
Akechi was right. Fuck Nobunaga and fuck Hideyoshi.
No wonder that his retainers respected him so much. He was a freaking rock star of sengoku Japan.
I think that he was wrong though because in the end it was Hideyoshi who fucked Akechi instead.
Mitsuhide was just a butthurt kid who couldn't let go Nobunaga nicknaming him kumquat.
Delete this
Nobunaga was just a narcissist who never understood the importance of paying attention to people's mental states
Fuck this foreigner loving traitor.
Probably could have taken Korea successfully, and by the time the 20th century turned, Koreans would all but be Japanese in name only, culturally and linguistically. More than likely make in roads to China as well. If they got a controlling grip on China, Japan would be rich as fuck selling China's silk production to the rest of the world.
Why do they always draw him with a less impressive mustache than he actually had? Denying the man his mustache glory.
I always felt that Oda deserved to be emperor and he really did receive the Mandate of Heaven
Sengoku Era happened due to weakness and decline of the imperial family during that time period.
Most European warlords would have killed the royals and made themselves the new imperial family during such times.
>Killing our boy Baba Nobuhara
Fuck Oda.
On a completely Yea Forums-unrelated note, I think it was a missed chance to not have Nobunaga present in Sekiro.
This.
Nobunaga had horrible sense of aesthetics. That's ehy he had to die.
True, and it's what sets him apart from better leaders like Genghis, despite both of them being bloodthirsty.
Nobunaga delegated a lot of his later campaigns to competent generals like Hideyoshi. There's no real reason to believe he would have been any more successful than Hideyoshi at conquering Korea, who also sent a fuckton of talented generals and battle-hardened troops to the peninsula. He's not some sort of military genius on the level of Napoleon or Subutai that could personally lead most battles and win decisive victory after decisive victory. And keep in mind the Japanese did actually win a lot of victories in the major set-piece battles of that war, but none of that helped them actually win the war, in which attrition and logistics played a far greater role.
Yeah that totally justified betraying him in the most vile way possible while knowing full well you'd have been roflstomped in weeks.
>the imperial family
hadn't been anywhere near power for at least 300 years. In fact, for most of recorded history the imperial family were puppets to one form of court regime or another.
Maybe my favorite too. Love his fight, lore surrounding him and design, and while still portrayed as a bloodthirsty warlord for all the shit he commited they made him into more than an ebil meme- especially next to Kelley.
Nobunaga's death was the main cause of Japan's isolationism.
If Nobunaga lived, Japan's fate would have been enough to cause an alternate timeline to be honest.
>knowing full well you'd have been roflstomped in weeks.
why would you know well? Hideyoshi had to defeat him in battle. The succession was anything but certain, as everybody else went on to fight among themselves right after.
>ushering in 3 centuries of autocratic, stagnant, repressive, and illegitimate micromanaging bureaucracy
That was all on Hideyoshi and Ieyasu. Nobunaga was against that.
Akechi just wanted to rule instead and hoped he could assemble enough supporters/Japan would cuck out within a month and he could seat himself in charge. He didn't expect Hideyoshi running back and overestimated his hype, then he died miserably. All Akechi did was fuck over Japan for centuries since Hideyoshi undid the meritocracy and parked the bus while Ieyasu went along with anything that let him rule.
That's an extremely shallow reading of history. One man alone can't change the outlook of millions, especially in a time before mass-media. How many visionary leaders have there been in history, whose kingdoms and empires were promptly ruined by their sons or their grandsons? Thinking that just because Oda liked to look beyond the seas outside Japan doesn't mean any of his successors would. The Tokugawa historically had a good reason to reduce foreign contact to a minimum, and it has to do with how different things are valued when you're just trying to conquer shit vs trying to hold your highly feudalized country together.
>mfw his castle was painted white instead of black (like my karma)
His force wasn't even half that of Hideyoshi.
>the meritocracy
You mean chaos. There was no meritocracy, there were warlords rewarding followers. When war ends, so does social mobility.
Hideyoshi was a far greater general with far more clout. Akechi was scrambling to get courts on his side and make troops convert to his banner.
Hideyoshi was a literal peasant in command of someone else's army. Furthermore, he was bogged down in a costly siege. He had to pull a fast one to gather an army and get to Mitsuhide, making piece with the Mori and convincing other key figures to back him.
Hideyoshi was a sandal bearer who became a top general. Nobunaga believed in some form of meritocracy and often ignored class systems even in his youth. Hideyoshi undid all that, making Japan massively stagnate for centuries.
Of course we know that because we know how it played out. Mitsuhide clearly misjudged the situation. He didn't know he was going to be defeated, he made an opportunistic power play and lost.
This. Just look at them. Pure pathetic
Just because one acts like this in war does not mean he will act like this in peace. History is full of wartime meteoric risers becoming the new aristocracy. In fact, that's how aristocracies usually come about.
Akechi's judgment blew ass in general. He was a fool and it was a shame he amassed enough fools to follow him.
Nobunaga ignoring class structures even in his youth gives credence to the idea that it wasn't a temporary thing for him. He had economic plans as well and was willing to adapt from the West instead of going full isolationist.
>Hideyoshi undid all that, making Japan massively stagnate for centuries
That's what happens when you allow a monkey to rule your country
Ivan the Terrible has greatly expanded the country, made it much stronger and BTFO many of its old enemies.
>Akechi's judgment blew ass in general. He was a fool and it was a shame he amassed enough fools to follow him.
Of course, but again, hindsight is 20/20. He didn't know he was gonna get btfo
>>Is always portrayed as a villain or demon lord in every anime, manga and game adaptation
I'm sorry I can't hear you over the dozen or so Nobunaga series in which Oda is some young hot guy and there is a girl or girls that want his dick.
It was a terrible gamble even at the time he crafted his plan. The odds were far too low. Another general would kick his ass in no time and they'd rule instead of him.
Any rip that doesn't have autistic subs?
Mitsuhide essentially chimped out.
Read the manga.
O, MY ASHIGARU
If only he got his hands on those ninja weapons, things would be different around japan!
That’s not a Nobu though
>mfw his descendant is a figure skater faggot
Manga is an inferior medium to literally anything else.
>Is always portrayed as a villain or demon lord in every anime, manga and game adaptation
Because japan media is filled of koreans hating japan because japan is very much better country.
The one Nobunaga to reign supreme above every other nobunaga
>Yeah he has such an unfair treatment, he was pretty much the Jap Napoleon. Master in tactics , undefeated, master in diplomacy and wanted to open up Japan to the world stage by using western technology and science.
The Meiji Restoration turned Japan from a Medieval society to a world power in a matter of decades, imagine would could of been if this was started several centuries earlier.
Conditions that allowed meiji restoration to happen simply didn't exist in 16th/17th century Japan.
But that would have ruined more of Japanese culture, too. The Meiji Restoration, while beneficial in itself, did a lot of damage since they were not protective of their historical legacy.
Had they started to westaboo centuries earlier there would be no anime. They'd essentially be a western country even compared to Singapore.
One Nobunaga to rule them all
One Nobunaga to find them.
One Nobunaga to bring them all
and into the Shogunate bind them.
Yes, and Nobu did essentially the same thing.
You know who gave him that "terrible" moniker?
His muslim enemies that he heroically fought and defeated against all odds until eventually being overcome.
He is a hero of both Europe and Christianity.
Bad press is shitskin propaganda.
Except he didn't fight religious wars against foreign invaders; he fought to unify his country.
They have little to nothing in common.
Because tokugawa won
>pic title
Lost it
Nobunaga:
>"Little bird, if you don't sing; I will kill you."
Hideyoshi:
>"Little bird, if you don't sing; I will make you sing."
Tokugawa:
>"Little bird, if you don't sing; I'll kill my friends' kids and steal their birthright."
The fucker deserved his penis hat
>Tokugawa:
>>"Little bird, if you don't sing; I'll kill my friends' kids and steal their birthright."
their dying screams must've been like music to his saggy ears
I always find it funny how to this day different manga authors take sides on which of the three to demonize: you have shit like Azumi's pro-Toyotomi and scheming Tokugawa, but then you come across things like Hyouge Mono's blatant pro-Tokugawa bias.
It's great.
Shut up Tokugawa, you duck.
In Oda Nobuna no yabou Pic related gets killed and replaced by a high schooler nobunaga fanboy. Also best warlord (and nearly every other character) is a girl.
>The odds were far too low.
You don't know what information he was working with. Estimating odds after the fact is much easier.
What show is that?
Cute!
Nobunya?
he's actually a taikou risshiden (another koei game focus on the monkey) fanboy.
when he's asked to gather money by selling rice, it's a reference to the game.
Nobunyaga
>warrior monks
>innocent
Someone post that big chart of all the various warring states period generals/important people and their various depictions across various anime/manga/video games.
No.
Because Nobunaga upset the rules of society. He was a westaboo denigrating the proper aesthetics of the samurai in favor of the guns and cannons the Portuguese missionaries and their sailing crews armed themselves with. You also weren't supposed to succeed at conquering and unifying all Japan that's just a man's romance god damn Oda what are you doing stop taking territory.
Also, never trust a fucking ninja.
youtu.be
Was this kino?
Good to know. Is that game any good?
>Also, never trust a fucking ninja.
Always trust a ninja. They're PR-sensitive, after all. It's your scumbag retainers you need to watch out for.
Nobunaga wasn't evil but he certainly wasn't good. He was ambitious. He wanted to rule Japan by bringing an end to the constant warfare in the sengoku era by conquering everyone and unifying the country to establish peace. If anyone was truly evil, it was Akechi Mitsuhide for betraying Nobunaga and having his troops turn on him at Honnouji Temple.
Recca no Honoo
Nyes
>undefeated
>not getting rekt by Kenshin
Nobunaga already showed up in Nioh and was totally based.
youtu.be
have you ever played Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII, VIII, X and XII? the gameplay is borrowed from the Taiko Risshiden series. In the original, you play as Hideyoshi. Game start at the battle of Okehazama (vs Imagawa). You start as the lowest rank in the Oda clan. Every month, Nobunaga issues orders to his officers, including you. You take simple tasks first like selling rice. Later when you get higher ranks, you'll be asked to do harder tasks. Game is similar to RPG where you have stats and skills, you can train your stats/skills. It also has historical events like when Hideyoshi build the one night fortress of Sunomata (see Nobuna), recruit Takenaka Hanbei, war vs Asakura-Azai at Kanegasaki, etc including the Honnoji event where Nobunaga died and you become a daimyo to continue Nobunaga's dream.
It's a really good game. Latest is Taikou V (around 2005). In later games, you can play as any officers. Unfortunately it's in Japanese. There's an English translation but I haven't tried it.
Interesting. Can't wait to go home and stop phone posting already.
Best Nobunaga
he had a mustache and no beard. even in the 1970s that was creepy from what i understand
Fucking ouiaboos
None.
>"Little bird, if you don't sing I'll just let you go and look for another bird that surely can sing"
This is the correct way.
>If it had been him ruling instead of Hideoshi, he would have steamrolled Korea and east Asian history would have been very different.
Doubtful, given just how garbage the Japanese navy was. Hideyoshi wasn't well-liked, but he was a great general of his own right. The whole Korean campaign was also a result of this unpopularity, so Nobunaga could have even not considered it a high priority over merely consolidating his own power.
Maybe if Nobunaga's pro-Western views resulted in massive military and navy reforms it could have lead to a less-isolated and more aggressive Japan, but that's getting too deep into hypotheticals.
>Both live in the same decades
Take a look at how similar these 2 pics. Top is Nobuna when Sagara was asked to sell rice. Below is the map of Taikou Risshiden V. I just checked Sagara said he's a fan of Nobunaga's Ambition in episode 1. but in episode 2, he said he learned the trading trick from Taikou Risshiden when he's asked to sell rice. The subtitle said Romance of the Two Kingdoms and Age of Explorations.
I hope there weren't any copyright problems for that.
If anything it's free advertisement.
Also season 2 never.
>"Demon King of the Sixth Heaven"
>Do an internet search to learn more about it and other chuuni nicknames from that period
>First result is Fateshit instead
>Based on the burning of Mount Hiei and the other brutal deeds she had performed in life
>she
Fucking why.
Second season never ever.
I just noticed those 2 maps cover similar area. It's near Mino (Saitou clan) and Omi (Azai clan). I marked the area. Same color means same location.
Unfortunately, Koei doesn't seem to have interest in this series anymore. Last release was in 2005 and no English version at all since the first one in 90s.
It was actually some random bandit named Nakamura Chōbei. The more you know.
What are the chances that he hired that bandit to pretend that he killed him and gave him scorched head of random dead soldier for evidence then lives the rest of his life as a monk named Tenkai?
>he would have steamrolled Korea and east Asian history would have been very different.
I doubt if he could win against this.
en.wikipedia.org
I only believe in one Nobu.
"Demon King of the Sixth Heaven" wasn't really evil to Buddhists but someone who tempted believers to test their faith and devotion to Buddha.
gg ez.
>he would have steamrolled Korea
Admiral Yi is still on both south and north korean currency for a reason.
God, I love that particular version of Akechi so much.

How the fuck did he do that.

Fate: Sengoku edition where every mage summons different version of Nobunaga when?
He didn't, it's called propaganda.
he used "that"
Yeah, those turtle ships which the Japs literally could do nothing against sure were propaganda.
The demon king this is based on a joke title he famously gave himself meant to mock lords who would give themselves rediculous nicknames and titles to make themselves seem important. The rest is because he was known for being a bit of a maverick and not tied down by tradition as well as how rude and badly behaved he was before his father died.
There are currently seven Fate versions barring the Nobus that serve each of them so it could fit theoretically.
So if it weren't for modern militarization, Nips are basically designated jobbers to Gooks. Also, as far as I've known, gook archers were vastly superior to nips proving once again the "katana stronk" meme.
Nobunaga didn't respect the traditional way and instead put people in charge according to their capacity instead of their bloodline. That's still a big no in modern Japan, just imagine in the feudal times.
because most artists are lefties and they hate based men
he was a smart man that knew japan bad habits would kill the country and tried to change, but Japanese leaders were too stupid and afraid to lose power.
Legend says, when Takeda Shingen died, his great rival Uesugi Kenshin cried and mourned his death and Oda Nobunaga broke out in laughter and cheered. He also burned woman and children and killed a lot of people that didnt directly needed to be killed, it was just to make sure they dont bite him in the ass in 20 years
i dont trust the atf but i trust it more than some pedo cult
Aside for the sea raids and the odd land invasion Japs didn't really care about anything that was going on in mainland Asia. They were usually pretty content on their islands. Invasions of the mainland usually meant that things in the islands weren't 100% stable and the government needed a whole lot of possible dissidents dead. Hideyoshi is the prime example of it.
The Japs didn't really take expansion into the continent that seriously until they decided 'we Europeans now' in the late 1800's.
Is it at least somewhat true to what actually happend or is it mostly fiction?
It's a glorified account obviously, but it's still a good movie.
>Uesugi Kenshin cried and mourned his death
Kenshin was either gay or a woman
>just to make sure they dont bite him in the ass in 20 years
It's pretty reasonable to remove potential danger when you are trying to fix the entire country.
The problem with the buddhist monks was that they were butthurt for Nobunaga opening the nation to western barbarians and their priests. Catholicism had a huge success on Japan but unfortunately it's a monotheistic religion, what mean the Christians can't participate in Buddhist rites. Nobunaga himself was atheist but he was fond of the Catholic priests because he admired their courage for navigating half the world while he despised the Buddhist monks for preaching humility while living on riches (Nobunaga was the original hipster)
Only closet homos are afraid of crying.
i remember reading something about kenshin being secretly a girl
Yes. I think this theory was even on Wikipedia. Basically he did not leave any offspring. Also according to some sources he had regular stomach aches every month or so.
He had an army smaller than that of the other generals and less prestige compared to all of them. He was earning the ire of everyone at once while not near a place where he could immediately consolidate power with the daimyos or the emperor. His odds of surviving, let alone ruling, were pitiful. Nobunaga put too much faith in everyone near the end and paid for it at the hands of Japan's perpetual, shortsighted greed via Mitsuhide.
He had no children or relation with any women. He also had a femine appearance and was the only 'male' allowed to enter the imperial harem
Everyone always goes on and on about the honor of the samurai, but almost all of them were child-murdering scum, Nobunaga included.
A very lewd woman.
>preaching humility while living on riches
If only there was a denomination of Christianity known for doing this to an egregious degree..
Sauce?
>stomach aches
AKA menstrual pains.
The ultimate tsundere?
>Uesugi Kenshin himself burst into the headquarters, attacking Takeda Shingen who, unprepared for such an event, parried with his signalling fan as best as he could, and held Kenshin off long enough for one of his retainers, Hara Osumi-no-Kami, to spear Kenshin's mount and drive him off.[8]:
Sounds like something out of a high school drama in this light.
Wait, so Fate's version of Kenshin is also a woman? Well, considering that they even have female king Arthur I should not be surprised
wow you're a clever little user aren't you
She is also an ever smilling psychopath that made everyone shit themself when talking to her.
>
>UGH. Give it up, Kenshin! You'll never pass!
but most importantly, FUCK fateshit
Artists sucked back then. That's the common fact. Give the task of painting the portrait of any sengoku daimyo to present days fan artists and you'll get a nice petite loli instead of an old bearded man
>ever smilling psychopath
> yandere Kenshin
No thanks
That's from the Edo period. Drawings of Kenshin during the Sengoku Period and texts describing his appearence from the time he lived portrayed him as more feminine.
Ah yes, that makes sense. The reason all these people look different now is that artists have since learned to differentiate between a 200lb middle aged dad and a loli.
is this the one about a teenager normie being oda nobunaga?
Sauce? If this were true the whole kawanakajima thing would look a lot less gay.
Frome Wikipedia
>Historically Kenshin had a feminine appearance, currently the portraits of Kenshin were made in the Edo period, those made in the Sengoku period, he had a more feminine appearance.
Didn't Kenshin have a chronic illness?
that's not a sauce my man.
Posting Nobunaga in a Nobunaga Thread.
yes, a vagina
It's a phrase taken from this book which I cannot read.
He was edgy killer though, and endlessly childish to boot. The antics are almost comedic if you forget the part he murdered for ambitions. If anything nippons give him too great of a spotlight as a hero, considering he didn't even finish unifying Japan.
caesar cried when pompey died and he wasn't gay
>he didn't even finish unifying Japan.
Give that man some slack. I mean he would most likely do that if he did not die.
You ever got your tits sucked?
HE WAS A CONSUL OF ROME!
That anime had some hot moments. And then that trap Ranmaru appeared and ruined everything.
He drank a lot so he got some sort of stomach cancer later in his life.
what the fuck
If the mouth between her legs drank some semen, maybe she wouldn't have to go through that pain.
How would they hide death from childbirth though?
I don't know if there's a timeline where he lives, considering that insane rulers have tendency to wake bad blood.
Constipation.
By saying he drank a lot so he got some sort of stomach cancer.
Alcohol doesn't give you stomach cancer.
It shuts your liver down though.
There would be a nine-month period that would make such a claim hold no weight.
Nobunaga's problem wasn't really to be insane but instead to be too sane for Japan. He realized muh honor and muh bloodline were useless
I think he had some form of (actual) autism.
Just cut the heads of staff who dare to speak about obvious lies like a pregnant belly lmao welcome to sengoku motherfucker
>probably the most widely infamous human to ever be known
>still not a servant
Nobunaga wasn't insane though, he was a nonconformist and a pragmatist. Its easy to look back on history and say 'X is bad because they killed people', especially when that side didn't come out on top. The reality is Nobunaga made some of the best moves considering the circumstances he was given to work with. His largely forwarding thinking and practical mindset let him shit stomp the rest of Japan, but it was also the thing the led to his downfall.
Also, fuck monks.
>tfw no warlord gf to conquer with
this sucks man
>the best nobunaga
You have GOT to read more Nobunaga stories then, because while I enjoy that series, it's portrayal and MC Nobunaga is shit as fuck.
The MC dude is a lazy, literal autist. Kichou and Nobunaga had a horrible relationship (albeit most series gloss over that and make her his waifu).
Historically, wasn't Joan of Arc said to be a 10/10?
That would become even more troublesome though, and it wouldn't answer the "had no kids" part unless the child didn't survive the birthing process.
>Also, never trust a fucking ninja.
Actually, Tokugawa's various escapades with Hanzo Hattori and his associated clan prove you should ALWAYS trust a ninja. It's retainers and vassals you should never trust.
It's even easier to look back at past and give murderers a pass because "the times were different".
Then just kill more people, jeez you suck at being a feodal ruler
We are talking about Admiral Yi.
Even euros praise him as the best.
History is just a recolection of mass murder
>in every game adaptation
>OP hasn't played the best game about feudal Japan
He turns into a demon through Xavier
They were all mass murderers back then
The three people Fate will never touch to avoid controversy are Hitler, Jesus, and Muhammad.
I mean Shingen boiled people alive but is remembered as a wise kind strategist.
I like that one ending where he regains his sanity and soul when he sees female Rance
The new Nobu gets me so fucking hard Jesus Christ the femdom doujins better be good.
>about feudal Japan
It's isekai version of Japan though
i think the first 2 are still acceptable.
there are anime and manga about those 2.
yeah but that was a common punishment back then.
Nobunaga shitposted to other warlords by signing letters "Demon King of the Sixth Sky" to mock their self-granted titles. Sarcasm did not translate well onto the feudal nipponese parchment forums.
Got sauce on that? I always thought it was something other people said about him.
Where do you guys get your information on the Sengoku period?
It has origins from a letter Luis Frois sent to a fellow missionary.
>...when this new enemy of the Christians [Shingen] comes to Kyōto, and rebuilds Mount Hiei, it would be damaging to us, so we need to prepare, and all the Christians in Kyōto are very worried, but with God's grace and protection we would easily prevail against the wrath of the devil. Something interesting happened before Shingen invaded Tōtomi and Mikawa, he sent Nobunaga a letter, in it to arrogantly boast his name, in the letter he called himself as such: Tendaino-Zasushamon-Shingen. It means the highest clan of the Tendai religion and teacher Shingen. To this, Nobunaga answered Doiroku-Tennomauo-Nobunaga. It means the enemy of Buddhist sects demon king Nobunaga. As Deva against the Buddha, hindering him from spreading the religion, Nobunaga has to this day hindered the honor and worship of idols, so we should rely on the mercy of God, that He may return us to the glory of old, and as the just answer of our Lord Deus, believe the accursed superstitions of these sects should be punished...
>Also had a big Black dude for a bodyguard
Fucker was progressive
Oh, thanks. That explains a lot.
Nobunaga and Shingen were like tripfags on anonymous imageboard
>normie
But yes.
Was it forced animation?
Copypasted CG people aren't animation.
I might've become forced penetration if that arrow hit the target.
Oda Nobunaga was Chaotic Neutral. He was an ambitious and ruthless warlord who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He ordered his men to kill monks, laymen, women and children at Enryaku-ji monastery at Mt. Hiei since its warrior monks were close to his base of power and were allied to Azai and Asakura, who opposed Nobunaga. But Nobunaga knew full well of the evils he was committing, and didn't justify his actions despite knowing that they were necessary in his conquest to unify Japan and put an end to the constant turmoil.
Nobunaga also was a very wise leader who sought economic reform and development, including establishing open free market economic guilds (rakuichi rakuza) to stimulate business and the overall economy and shut down monopolies, which he saw as impediments to commerce.
Nobunaga was also a pioneer of art and culture, especially European culture. He collected Western art, arms and armor, and even wore European clothes. He also was tolerant of Christianity and supported the Jesuit missionaries in building the first Christian Church in Kyoto.
His interest in Western culture led to him utilizing tanegashima rifles and arming his ashigaru footsoldiers to the teeth, forever revolutionizing warfare after using rifles to decimate the Takeda forces at the Battle of Nagashino.
Nobunaga wasn't a good man. He committed evil, but got his hands dirty for what he saw as the greater good. He was fucking based.
Hideyoshi>Nobunaga>Tokugawa
A Nobunaga by Kaneko
Fate Nobu gender is Demon King of the Sixth Heaven.
I wish I could forcefully penetrate Nobuna
Nobumama is best Nobu.
What's with Nobunaga and skulls holding? I remember that he had a sprite with almost the same pose in Sengoku Rance
Nobunaga was a big fan of Hamlet.
demon king.
drink sake/wine from skull.
See
>Hamlet
>written sometime between 1599 and 1602
Nobunaga died in 1582
The original Hamlet was Japanese and written in the 8th century.
Wait, japanese have facial hair?
yeah, right
But Drifters' Nobunaga is a hero.
>Maybe if Nobunaga's pro-Western views resulted in massive military and navy reforms it could have lead to a less-isolated and more aggressive Japan, but that's getting too deep into hypotheticals.
And perhaps more to the point, it's hard to imagine Japan being more aggressive and less isolated than what it eventually turned into anyway by the mid twentieth century. Perhaps they would've gotten a head start on it comparatively, but yeah, it's a bit too hypothetical.
>when he sees female Rance
Rape?
Why did Japan genocide their christians? The portuguese missionaries did nothing wrong.
yeah, different times
Because the Japanese didn't want to get colonized and knew that the Portuguese were setting up shop permanently.
He's always the cool guy in everything I watch though
The nobles can't have strange barbarians spreading dangerous ideas about answering to a power higher than themselves to their populace.
no, the original hammuretto was inspired by the 800th century BMLK story of Homie Red.
So you're saying hamlet was inspired from nobunaga's life?
The leaders were scared of Christianity's righteous power and influence.
It was also the reason they nuked Christian sites in ww2.
Because many missionaries took slaves and were only spreading Christianity to take over parts (or even whole) of Japan for their kings and queens. You have to understand that for Japanese Christians their allegiance wasn't to the local authorities unless they happened to be Christian themselves. The entire existence of Christianity in Japan was destructive to the dominant systems of power.
>they nuked
Well, the only country who was doing the nuking during ww2 was USA
I bet you think Rome fell due to Christianity as well.
"Nuked' is slang for "destroy" or "burn", ESL retard.
Tokugawa Hidetada was paranoid of Christian influence instigating another civil war after they had only JUST successfully unified the country, but his methods were excessively draconian and cruel. His massacre and persecution of Christians rivaled that of the Roman Empire.
>sold out japan to foreigners
>made a black slave jester a samurai
>died like a bitch
The Portuguese missionaries did a lot wrong.
They lied constantly that Christianity was a unified religion without conflicting sects (that's why they wanted William Adams executed before he could reveal the truth), they turned the various authorities against them by causing social unrest and temple burnings and finally the San Felipe Incident made it apparent that Christianity being a vanguard that led to colonization was a very real threat.
Do you think Japan would have made it into the modern era without ever being colonized if most of the Daimyo were loyal to the Pope and not the Shogun?
Nope. You just misuse the word
Catholicism is unified. That's the entire doctrine of the Catholic Church, so it wasn't a lie. They just didn't consider any other denomination a part of the true church.
I wasn't the one who posted that, though, and I completely understood what he meant.
Haven't seen this show posted in a long time.
Seething Akechiposter
The whole reason why the narrative of Christianity being a unified religion was so important was because it made them look good compared to Japan's squabbling sects of Buddhism.
Now think of how it must have looked to the Japanese when it turned out, after having been told this for decades, it turned out that Christianity is just as divided and prone to infighting as Buddhism.
In other words, they equivocated with convenient half truths. A custom the Catholic Church is STILL utilizing.
It's basic Catholic doctrine to want a unified church. To say otherwise would be the real lie.
Seething heathens ITT
Japan hated the Portuguese but loved the Dutch.
Even when Japan banned outsiders, only the Dutch were still allowed to trade with the Japanese.
You know why? Dutch were not interested in converting anybody from Japan, they were only interested in trading. This made Japanese higher ups trust the Dutch more than the Portuguese
.
Also, the Dutch reportedly helped Japan buy back Japanese slaves Portuguese sold off to other countries. Yes, a slave trade existed in Japan and Portugal considered Japanese slaves very high quality because they considered Japanese slaves, skilled labor. You see Portugal aimed at getting slaves with skills in arts and craft and even farming. They targeted poor families.
Any Yea Forumsbros read this and was it good? I read Yoshikawa's Musashi and it was great
Confirmed to never watch or read Nobunaga Concerto
>"If they can't eat cake, let them eat lead"
>"If they take the peasant rice, They better pray to crhist
>thought violence was the solution to everything.
It is, tho
I'm glad in modern times Portugal is an irrelevant shithole, while Japan is one of the top countries in the world.
USA genocided Japan's Christians, too.
>Hiroshima and Nagasaki had the largest Catholic populations in Japan
USA is evil.
isn't he basically a Cao Cao ripoff?
>fucking other people's wives
>not fucking your own boywife
Nobunaga clearly was the superior warlord.
>genociding Christians
>evil
People are literally going around promoting the idea that instead of you your subjects should worship and obey some invisible wizard and his VIP in some faraway land. What else can you do as a ruler in this situation?
I've been searching for clue, folklore anything to determine the real relationship between Nohime and Oda. If the story of Nobunaga hated his wife or vice versa Nohime would have comitted sudoku or were pushing for a divorce.
My headcannon really tell me that Nohime was truly barren thus why Saito sent her to assasinate Nobunaga so no heir from the Saito-Oda clan can claim Mino. When Oda knew about this and he respect and overtime to love his wife for his dedication to her family and Noh learn to love his husband vice versa
Nobunagun. Little school girl is the modern day reincarnation of ol' Nobunaga and can summon a giant cannon or minigun of some kind to kill aliens or something. Other warlord reincarnations also appear, wielding different types of weapons that represent their characters' theme.
>I read Yoshikawa's Musashi and it was great
What’s your take on the Circle chapter?
>not having a mommy harem
Chad Chad is king
I'm not seeing the best Nobunaga in there.
>obey corrupt men and not follow the good moral teachings of Christianity
>bad
Hello atheist.
>who tried to make japan a powerful nation
Every leader ever does, no matter how horrible it turns out for some people. You might not agree with his methods or those of his followers but they all do those things to save, protect and create a better future.
So what will happened when
Khalid ibn Al-Walid got isekai to sengoku japan with his personal retinue, the mobile guard
not modern leaders. now we have ones like merkel and trudeau trying to run their countries into the ground.
>USA is evil
That is common knowledge user.
>Warlords
Ah yes, famous Japanese warlords such as Isaac Newton, Jack the Ripper, and Gandhi. Jokes aside its famous historical figures in general, not just warlords.
You sound like a protestant. The shittiest Form of Christianity.
It's been a long time since I watched it so I barely remember anything about it.
>Gandhi
Let me guess, his weapon was a nuke?
i have the strike witches manga where a witch rescues him just in time before he's murdered
Iirc it was something like force fields, been a while since I saw it too.
>oda nobunaga

>against some chuunii warlord who have trouble conquering a small island
Funny you ask that, it's been several years since I read it and it's one of my most distinct memories of the whole book other than the ending. I can't remember the specifics of the philosophy behind it, but I can remember the feeling I got from reading it, which was that it was all very beautiful. I suppose one could look at like this, the sword doesn't end when the person begins
I thought jews fear the samurai?
>550 AD sandbox warlord
>On a mountainous island
>Not knowing the language
>Not even sharing the same religion
>Standing any chance against 1000 years of technological advancement, albeit limited.
The Chuunii warlord has guns.
I read it years ago.
It's pretty good.
MC is Hideyoshi.

Games leading to do legit learning
He called himself a Demon King. It's that simple.
People of the Sengoku Era actually had some knoweldge of ROTK.
The only example I know is Masamune Date making a parallel between Xiahou Dun and himself since both had lost an eye.
Were there any Kenjustu techniques that involved stepping on your opponents sword?
Is it a photo? Did they have cameras in 16th century in Japan?
Why red hair though? Nobu's long black hair was already perfect.
it's painting, zoomer
I'm not zoomer and it looks very photorealistic.
Considering we finally got Longinus in Fate we can put this Persona 2 Hitler to rest
>he forgot
>"SHAMEFURU DISUPRAY"
I hope not, unless it was a part of "ways to get your leg injured in a sword-fight ryu."
Remind me wasn't there NTR in this or was that just a red herring, or was it like Joyce's The Dead where they were cucked by the memory of a dead person, I honestly can't remember
I concur.
Apparently it was painted by some Italian guy so no wonder it was good
what NTR?
NOBUMAMA PLEASE GIMME THE DAIROKU-TEN MAOU MILKIES
Admiral Yi is one of the most badass people to ever live, arguably THE but the Japanese and Chinese wanking is so strong you don't hear about Korean legendary heroes like that, and I fucking love Sengoku era bullshit from both Japan and China.
Sounds awfully like Kamen Rider Ghost
He would be fine with it though considering the acts he committed as the fool of Owari.
Actually true, though I'd argue it's the knowledge and lack of struggle and self-actualization that is the main issue caused by modernity.
The peak of human civilization was City States. We should have stopped at City States.
Fuck no, villages are where it's at. Once you can divide your area into smaller areas IE like a city, you've gone too far.
WTF, go read that shit now. I love both books, but to me, Taiko is just on another level of awesome compared to Musashi.
The entire Korean history has been about sucking the foreign cock while Japan and China have a strong nationalistic pride
He was ruthless. And it is not like other leaders were extremely nice.
Takeda Shingen boiled criminals alive. Shimazu Yoshihiro lost two soldiers to hunt a tiger.
Both of them are regarded as "brilliant generals" not as specially ruthless ones. Shingen appears in movies as a noble guy and anyone who plays Sengoku strategy games regards Yoshihiro as "one of the OP Shimazu brothers"
As for "they hate Nobunaga because he used guns or was too pro-Western", it is not really true. The Shimazu used guns before Nobunaga did and Otomo Sorin was Christian. Neither were considered as bad.
>The Virgin Nobunaga with a bow and Chad Komachi with Kurosubou
why didn't nobunaga use a musket?
because he was swole as fuk
plus he'd probably heard about the kurosubou and wanted to see if it could be as powerful as a bow without the training/strength required.
I'm By the way, I'm surprised there are no manga about the Shimazu brothers. They won many battles when highly outnumbered.
Who was the Lu Bu of the sengoku jidai
but crossbow was invented hundred of years (maybe even 1000 years) before his era
i remember there's a manga about shimazu clan. i only read 1 chapter because it's the only chapter available at that time. playing the shimazu clan in nobunaga's ambition is the comfiest. you start at the most end of kyuushuu and the clan has lots of strong officers. once you've controlled kyuushuu, it's steamroll time.
Honda Tadakatsu or Tachibana Muneshige. Maybe Shima Sakon too.
Katanas are smaller and way lighter than western swords. That doesn't sound like a good idea. There are many techniques for dissarm your opponent by attacking his hand though
In games, usually Honda Tadakatsu. I don't know of many samurai that were famous as particularly good fighters. There is Ashikaga Yoshiteru, I think.
The one where there is a criminal hunt? There is Drifters as well, but it focuses on Iehisa's son.
And yeah, Shimazu is always a good easy start. Clan in the most far away place, Tadayoshi, Takahisa, Yoshihisa, Yoshihiro and if you wait a little longer Iehisa. Not to mention Niiro Tadamoto. But I remember one where Tashibana Dousetsu was broken. That was the hardest Nobunaga Ambition as the Shimazu.
Ah, forgot about Toshihisa. In earlier games he was not very good, but in the latest ones he has good stats.
He's pretty much Ivan the Terrible.
multiculturalism and globohomo are a large part of it
>Ashikaga
Ashikaga Yoshiteru is a swordsman. He learned from Tsukahara Bokuden. He might be strong in one on one battle, but I doubt he's good in battle though.
>criminal hunt
I don't remember. It's been so long. I read it when mangatraders was still alive. It was only 1 chapter translated. I don't think it mention any names. The first chapter is kinda a prologue. I remember the CHESTO shout from the manga though.
>Shimazu gameplay
The Shimazu has the grandfather, father and the 4 sons (Yoshihisa, Yoshihiro, Toshihisa and Iehisa). Niiro is decent too, especially early games where the 4 sons weren't old enough to join.
>Tachibana Dousetsu
Nobunaga 13? Tachibana Dousetsu has 100+ leadership. There are only like 4-5 people with 3 digit leadership and Dousetsu is one. But Dousetsu is like a single giant in Outomo clan. The only notable one were his step son (really late) and his step son's real father, Takahashi Jou'un.
Reminder that Nobunaga's direct descendant is a figure skater
>but crossbow was invented hundred of years (maybe even 1000 years) before his era
Crossbows appeared at the 9th century in Japan for the first time, brought over from China but there are no records of them between the 10th and the 17th century in all of Japan.
Drifters by the Hellsing author has Shimazu main character.
>direct descendant
After the decree that peasants must have surnames, a ton of them chose Oda name.
There was one game where he and Kenshin had some kind of aura that destroyed the morale of enemies.
Here I was, defeating the Otomo as always. Then, that guy appeared. He destroyed my army. Which had the likes of Yoshihiro and Niiro leading them.
To defeat him in a later battle, I think I surrounded him by Yoshihiro, Iehisa and another one with rifles. Could not recruit him since he died in that battle.
9th century? it was pretty late. china has crossbow in china's warring states (sengoku) era.
don't know that game. i started playing nobunaga's ambition since kakushin (12), then tendou (13) and souzou (14). i haven't played the souzou sanada risshiden and nobunaga 15. when did you play that game?
What does that have anything to do with the fact that Christianity was not actually unified
It's always wise to genocide christians. We are the worst confession. Except maybe muslims.
Found it.
It was Rise to Power. The 11th one.
Uesugi Kenshin and Sanada Yukimura also had that skill.

>Luckily it's not too drasticly diffrent so didn't have a hard time jumping in, but i gotta say my only complaint is the ability "rampage" is quite possibly the most over powered skill ever, kenshin & yukimora are virtually invicible with it >__>;
>Most pathetic sight i've ever seen in my life was my entire armty of thousands all fleeing in a morale drained panic from yukimora who chased them out of his castle with a mere 400 troops to him and his avatar was alone riding a single horse, chasing away my full army avatars single handidly....
Goddamn, give me some sauce lads.
God I wish Drifters Season 2 would come out already.
Also
yari ashigaru > teppo ashigaru > bow ashigaru > samurai and mounted shitters
It's Nobunaga 11, one version before Kakushin (12).
Well, Kenshin and Yukimura are always strong in Nobunaga's game.
Because he was ruthless in his tactics and the people that he sacrificed or massacred ended up allying with his usurper to take him down
>Hey we killed this guy better talk good of him

>including several otome nobunaga
ty
I read that guy is Nobunaga's descendant. He might have some documents showing his lineage. Japan love that shit
Give me some recommendation with same premise then, i mean isekai with nobunaga as mc not as sidekick like nobunaga no chef or that farmer isekai, and also no future tech brought to sengoku period.
Also the fact that mc in nobunaga concerto is lazy make it more interesting, he doesn't bother to remember what will happen exactly next or remaking future tech, and just live life with only one goal of unifying Japan just like what he remember before isekai'd.
It won't
>not sending a /k/ommando gaijin so they can go both full retard
Nobu would cum buckets
Sengoku period was full of psychotic warlords wanting to take as many heads as possible for their occult rituals. Oda was a product of his time but also a visionary. His tactics and incorporation of new technology into his army was genius. Alas he was betrayed by a fucking monkey
Why do animu girls have clits longer than most Asian male penises?

Anyway the first time I heard of his name I thought it was cool as fuck. Oda Nobunaga has a really nice ring about it.

>ouiaboo Hijikata fanboy
This is amazing.
what happened to masamune's eye ? i knew that Dun eating his eye after got hit by arrow
I’m pretty sure he either lost it (or just his sight in it) due to a disease.
our men are running from the battlefield!
The sad thing about these warlords is no confirmed proof of their actual burial site because Japan is not willing to dig up the grave site due to heavy superstition. For example, look up Taira no Masakado
en.wikipedia.org
Famous beheaded samurai who was so angry at being killed, became a natural disaster spirit until someone finally buried his head in Tokyo.
You can find his tomb on Google Maps but to this date, the Japanese government or even historians are willing to dig up the grave to do anything like DNA testing.
Basically, Japan has a lot of famous samurai graves by nobody is willing to dig up the graves to maybe do a MRI or CT scan of the corpse or upload the DNA to a database and see if Japan still has any living descendants of these famous historical people. Far cry from European scientists during the Renaissance and Scientific Revolution who used to steal corpses and did dissections in front of researchers in order to understand the human body.
But yeah, basically we could finally find out if Kenshin is a girl or not by taking apart her grave and even examining the size of the pelvis bone if the bones still are intact because females have a wider hips and pelvis than males after all. So many unsolved mysteries could be solved if someone was willing to dig up historical graves but nobody is willing to do it. Funny because we happily dig up Caveman Burials all the time.
What do you guys think about this? Should we dig up historical graves to confirm facts and truths once and for all and for Science or leave them alone?
Nobody has problems with finding Egyptian mummies though. Why are Egyptian Tombs okay but not Grave Sites even though both are the same thing?
How much time should pass before it is okay to dig up historical graves?
Sekiro was set in the closing days of the Sengoku period with the Interior Ministry troops being hinted as Tokugawa. I never got a close look at their emblem.
Shit this games looks awesome
Lord forgive me for I must fap
Is he the one who bought guns from the Portuguese?
humans come with one of four general types of pelvis and only one is "we're 90% sure this belonged to a woman"
>Nobody has problems with finding Egyptian mummies though.
colonialists don't, everyone else does
Never because muh honor
From what I got in this thread is that everyone hated him because he wasn't an absolute retard like everyone else in his era? Did I got that right?
Pretty much
>other nobles: Let's all line up in straight lines and charge directly at people waving our swords
>Nobunaga: These guns seem interesting, I am going to shoot people as they charge at me in straight lines waving their swords
>other nobles: Noooooo, nobunaga is a dishonorable cheater who doesn't follow the way of hte samurai
Well he was retarded in the whole “Don’t treat your retainers like shit and not expect them to sell you out and betray you” part. Then again, at that point he probably expected that all of them would betray him sooner or later since pretty much everyone was trying to kill him, from his younger brother and his brother-in-laws to the guy he protected and made shogun. A puppet shogun sure but really, at that point in time you had it made.
Dig them up I say, so long as its done respectfully and they restore everything after they're done. History has enough blanks as it is, no reason not to fill in the ones we can.
>Colonialism bad.
Sorry for trying to preserve and categorize peoples, their cultures and their histories.
>lighter
they have a pretty normal weight for a 2-handed sword, which considering just how fucking stubby they are makes them heavy as shit compared to anything similar
