I've noticed that some anime can be legitimately educational, and within this group, some will draw people in with cute girls. Why don't we make a list of anime like that? It could be dubbed the Yea Forumscademy. I don't mean shows that'll just reference stuff to look cool, but will make a given subject a major focus, and thus base a lot of its episodes' stories, jokes, etc. around that subject. Here's my list to start:
Bakuon!! - Japanese Motorcycles (ft. Ducati) Comedic Psychosomatic Medicine - Psychology Dagashi Kashi - Japanese Candies Girls und Panzer - Tanks of WWII Initial D - JDM Cars of the 00s and Earlier Moyashimon - Microbiology Servant x Service - Public Sector Clerical Work Silver Spoon - Agriculture Spice & Wolf - Economics Upotte! - Post-WWII rifles and other firearms. Yuru Camp - Outdoor camping, hiking, etc.
I suppose I just like to learn. I also heard a rumor that Tejina-sempai actually teaches the audience how to do some basic magic tricks - is this so? I may give the anime a shot if I may actually learn somethin' like that.
Hanayamata - Yosakoi Dance New Game - Game Programmer Work Nourin - Agriculture Rail Wars! - Train-related Work Saki - Mahjong Ro-Kyu-Bu - Basketball Tenshi no 3p - Starting Music Band

Giant Bug Rape Island really feels like the author wanted to make an educational series about insects but the only way for it to get made was to add as much sex and gore as possible.
>Bakuon!! - Japanese Motorcycles (ft. Ducati) Besides the generous amount of ecchi you can learn a couple of things about motorcycles but i can't call it educational to be honest.
Haifuri - WWII Japanese ships and ship crew stuff in general Kemono Friends - Animals The Rapeman - Proper rape etiquette Emiya-san Chi - Jap cooking (actually pretty good)
Tejina-sempai is great but as the person who knows next to nothing about magic tricks I can say that it did not teach me anything. Although it really does show sometimes how those tricks work. As for Girls und Panzer now that is the real educational anime. Thanks to it I've learned that Finnish tanks could ride without tracks and apparently christie suspension is super cool.

>Why don't we make a list of anime like that? It could be dubbed the Yea Forumscademy. this sounds really fucking stupid and I'm sure you realize that.
Jaxon Nguyen
True. Yea Forums and anything even remotely related to knowledge are totally incompatible things.
Owen Long
>Finnish tanks You didn't learn enough, because that BT-42 is an assault gun made by mounting a British WWI howitzer in a custom turret on a captured Russian tank chassis.
Bentley Jackson
Yukari's Tank Corner is pretty educational. The main series isn't that bad either, but they exagerate a lot of stuff for entertainment's sake, e.g. the BT-42 being able to ride without tracks, it's true but required a time-consuming field modification, you can't just get your tracks shot off and keep going. They are also mostly accurate about ballistics and other characteristics such as speed, at least in relation to other tanks appearing in the same scene (everyone gets a proportional buff to max speed to make it more fun to watch).
Jason Powell
this is just a thinly veiled request thread isn't it?
Aaron Price
My wife Chino is so educational
Jackson Fisher
>everyone gets a proportional buff to max speed to make it more fun to watch I'm starting to have some doubts about that whenever I see hetzer or screen. That thing run like some ferrari. Yeah, I know that it is not technically a tank and that it also had Russian chassis and Brittish turret. But that would be too long to type. Also it does not change the fact that Finns were using those.
Yeah, the Hetzer is very overpowered in GuP, the CV's are even worse because they were not very faster than most commons tank at all. It was basically an anti-infantry armored car, I wish they would've used the version with an anti-tank rifle, at least.
>garupan >educational at all >accurate to WW2 tanks at all I was severely disappointed in this show, if education you mean "you get to learn the name of random WW2 tanks" then yeah sure but otherwise there was absolutely nothing educational in it, you could replace all the tanks with mechs or cars or whatever and the show would be no different.

Those plus certain traits about the Friends were decent for learning about animals
Dominic Wilson
I noticed this season is oddly high in these types of anime.
>Dr. Stone >Sounan desu ka >Dumbbell >Vinland Saga (/his/)
Dominic Diaz
When was the last ch/a/rt? Most recent one I remember was the suffering one.
Isaiah Carter
well I'm sure if you watched saki you might learn about mahjong. it's no different than the others really
