A lot of people assume Aoi will survive this duel (I want her to as well) but even if she does she's still alone in a plane controlled by Ai flying to nowhere

There are two game originals, currently. I am almost 100% sure they'll show up in either of the next two episodes. Aoi couldn't pull the same burn tactics she used against Bohman with Ai.

One of many things will happen to her and the plane:

>Ai flies off with it somewhere and holds her hostage for Yusaku
>Plane crashes ad Aoi dies too
>Emergency ejection deadman switch to protect Aoi if Akira dies

Have you seen any of these in the anime? We know for sure that altergeist and that dinowrestler won't be used anytime soon.

The bar is basically if it's just passable enough to not look like melting blobs, there's barely any kind of finesse or style to be seen from their outsource teams

You can tell that when the entire show got rewritten at the last minute, Aoi and Go suddenly didn't fit in with the plot and setting at all. Yet, they couldn't just go and scrap them entirely because Konami already had Trickstars and Goukis lined up for the next year of sets.

Them constantly getting altered appearances, rewritten motivations, and changing decks is the writing team literally making shit up on the fly to try and make their characters "work".

SOL would have been final boss material but old men in business suits aren't marketable characters, so they got the boot. We had fucking chess pieces of knight, rook, and bishop that went unused, with Queen just being an executive while King is referring to major shareholders (not the CEO/owner).

Everything depends on the new summoning method. Pendulums when released didn't shaft any of the former methods. Actually it helped some of them in becoming more stable/powerful.
