Grand Blue isn't funny. It came out years ago and became very popular, Yea Forums isn't allowed to like popular mangas and so it is shit.

It’s great but it’s a 7.5 at best
It’s not that it has its flaws, the characters are consistent and realistic, the philosophies are good, and the interactions are funny. I think the problem it has though is that it can’t seem to stick to one standout point. It’s funny, but it’s not solely a comedy. It’s got good passion in its characters, but it’s not a romance manga. It’s philosophical enough to make you think about certain things, but ultimately it’s just not a thinking man’s manga. It doesn’t try to be what it isn’t and it’s refreshing as it is, but because it doesn’t try to be what it isn’t it ends up taking a safe and comfy spot when ranked against every other manga, which just makes it forgettable since, as I said, it doesn’t stand out despite being refreshing
When I think of character development, worldbuilding, interactions, comedy, philosophy, or lore, I’ll end up thinking a dozen other manga in each category before I even reach Grand Blue

Well, it has its moments, but I would certainly not call it the funnier. There's a limit to constantly rehashing the same "ahah, they're drunk and naked" and "ahah, they're assholes backstabing each others" jokes chapters after chapters.
