As a concept I don’t hate it, but I DO dislike how it is apparently triggered via emotional distress instead of actually training your quirk.
Seems like a cheap way to give someone a power up without any effort on their part (honestly probably for Bakugou, since All Might mentioned him comparing himself to Izuku is like comparing a level 50 to a level 1).
I think it showed definitely that Hori is a hack who got lucky his manga picked up any steam at all. t. Seething herocuck
Joseph Perez
Truth be told, my issue is not with the mutation of quirks itself. Rather, my issue is that it allows writers to put in generic and worthless character growth that would be found in training and constant failure over time leading to an eventual victory. With a transformation and an increase in power you artificially allow the character to rise above. Even Goku's awaking to Super Saiyan (although neat) was nothing more than a need and a way to end a match up where it was obvious the bad guy would win the fight. Truth be told I think that Goku should have died on namek giving others like Vegeta and Gohan a chance to really shine in a sequel instead of forcing this horrible trend of "going on to the next transformation" that has unfortunately permeated the manga/anime creation industry as a whole leading to lazy writing and hollow high moments.
Hori likes Western comic books, and this is something that's done in those, so I'm not sure why people are surprised that it's a thing in this.
David Adams
Better than the main character already being one of, if not the strongest characters in their series.
Mason Campbell
Emotion-based power ups happen in like most media honestly.

Bakugo is continuously growing his quirk by putting himself in nonstop emotional distress. By tricking his whole body into thinking he's in a life or death crisis every time Deku wins a spelling bee or finds a coin on the sidewalk, Bakugo will evolve beyond even the strongest heroes with pure situationally-unaware rage! A true genius of our time, Bakugo has figured out the meta.
this confuse me, why do some people have family line quirk and other people don't have quirks related to their parents and counting people without quirks too

>tfw it isn't the act of removing your exhaust pipes, but giving new ones room to grow after literally sawing your own bones off >>the method of allowing replacement is the traumatic experience in its own right, on top of the oconstant raining while it's growing out That panel only gets more and more hardcore. Iidacoin is still a neutral investment at the very least
Since I've got nothing else to do, I'm delivering on the 'reworked height tier list' I promised a while back If there's any requests for who I put on it, ask in this thread or forever keep your peace (until it needs updating after a while, especially if the villains are getting character bio pages). I'd prefer more things on the taller end of the spectrum, but anything with good enough justification and I'll throw it on for good measure if I can fit it. Taking characters from all over the canon (tl;dr Main Series, OVA's, Vigs and the Movie), as long as they have justification.
>Engima as shifted as the biggest seen in expanded canon >Yakuzaitans as biggest in canon >Mt Lady Shifted as tallest confirmed height >Gigantomachia as tallest base form in canon -------- (Gap) --------- >Rappa as Rappa >AfO as most powerful villain in canon >AM as most powerful hero in canon >Muscular as Manlet who didn't learn >Mt Lady as reference >Deku as MC >Miruko as Imagine >La Brava as smallest adult base form in canon >Mineta as smallest base form in canon >Nezu as smallest base thing in canon >Mimic as smallest shifted thing in canon if we ever find how tall his base form is or if theres a panel somewhere I can figre out his rough height,

I'd spend the day with Overhaul. I think superpowers are cool but when a sizeable amount of the population is fucking ugly and deformed I could see how he could think quirks are a disease. I'd just like to understand him better. I'd also spend the day trying to get him to use more moderate means. Then we'd make asphalt sculptures in the middle of the road with his quirk.
What were you planning on doing by spending the day with the mushroom?
Austin Adams
Momo easily >Get her to make something ridiculously valuable to set yourself up for life >Then get her to make scolpolamine etc, in effect drugging herself, at which point we test if she really is incapable of making life or not for the rest of the day >On top, while drugged, get her to permanently expand her own tits and hips to bodygoddess levels
I feel ok about it but this is not quirk evolution. The LV members are people with mental problems who were functioning on low burner becasue of their mental problems. Double's quirk was always op and so was Shigaraki's. These "stress evolutions" wouldn't happen for well-adjusted people. This is just these people regaining their full powers.
Mason Wilson
>ywn spend a day with sadistic mushroom girl Why even live?
I actually think it's quite the opposite. To get a stronger power you, yourself have to become a stronger person. As you evolve as human you evolve your quirk. Of course it depends on how Hori uses it. Right now with shiggy and twice it's a good thing but if he starts going all fairy tail only thinking about protecc their friends it's gonna be shit of course
Adrian Morgan
Twice's quirk never changed, and Shiggy at best can use his feet now. Otherwise, literally nobody's quirk has changed in any way. Twice can still clone, Shiggy still needs to touch you with all the fingers on one hand etc

Did you never realize that half the "hunterchads" are actually bnhaposters who are fed up with the manga and need a banner to shitpost under? Nobody cares that it was HxH, a series that is hiatus for months to years on end, it just had to be critically acclaimed by even 10% of manga readers to work.
Also don't forget that Hunterchad and whisper posting bumps the fuck out of these threads. Claim "merely pretending" all you want, but they've kept many a thread from being boring or otherwise uneventful. To that end, some have hubterchad posted solely to make these threads bump faster.
Can you take your fanfic to somewhere more suitable, your damage control isn't working.

I haven't been reading the manga since this arc began. Have they addressed who was the mole at school yet?

I wonder if there'll be Yea Forums sings the day or odd future
I read the entire manga in about 2 weeks. Names of characters were still fresh in my mind and arcs were well defined. Now they're a blur and I can't remember anything. I usually remember other series' characters, but I just can't remember BNHA's. I really like the art and the characters, but this series isn't very memorable for me.
Adrian Young
I'd love either of those. Pretty sure Yea Forums sings only usually happens for a song recently after the show airs with it though with a few exceptions
Isaiah Ortiz
That's because the last good arc was the Pro Hero arc. Everything after has been either meh or hot garbage. I can't think of a series that shot itself in the head harder than BNHA with that dumbass 6 new quirks twist, what a way to kill off all potential this series had to be something other than a generic shounen.
Sebastian Cruz
You say that it isn't memorable, and then ask about the possibility of a mole in U.A which has 5 (five) panels dedicated to it in the entire manga
I'm thinking it's a shitpost
Ian Gray
Oh. You again. "Evolution of quirks is not the same as quirk evolution." Gotcha.
Juan Moore
It's a question I didn't get a chance to ask here when I finished reading the manga a few months ago. Just popped into my head and wanted to ask it here.
Jayden Cooper
What is memorable about the series in the past 2 arcs though? There's nothing this series is doing that other shounens haven't done but better. I remember when BNHA actually used to feel fresh and engaging, the nigger's got a perfectly valid point.
The current arc is very memorable, I mean we even have that CEO and Araki commenting on how unheard of it is in Shonen Jump publishing. Breaking new ground is about as memorable as you can get
Landon Ward
In pretty sure it was said somewhere Mineta got points for trapping robots
Gabriel Allen
OK, I'II admit you're getting better at this, you're at least varying your wording and phrasing these days. But you're still using the 'I haven't been reading" ploy, which if you think about it, is ludicrous. Why not just say "I don't remember if this was addressed, but" or "Did I miss the part where"? That way you can pretend to be a forgetful fan, instead of revealing yourself right away as a shitposting troll.
Jayden Wood
>durr hurr hurr hehehoyyyy, i-it's not bad becaush TEKNIKULLY hori-sama... Do you faggots not get that even when you try and "justify" it with "foreshadowing", it's still an extremely retarded turn for the series to take? No one wanted the series to dive into power-wanking, no one wanted Deku to be fucking Naruto 2.0. It's the shittiest asspull out of any of the currently running shounens to date, it killed all chances this series could've had at being anything other than your generic popular kids comic because Hori's a hack that can't write himself out of corners for shit.
William Peterson
They apparently know what they like, though. That's why BnHA is popular, and HxH isn't.
Gabriel Gray
You've got the wrong number retard. I gave you a chance to shut the fuck up, but you hard to push it didn't you. Instead of bitching try reading slower, absorb the words on the page.

Can someone tell me why All Might vs AfO was good?
Are people always this deranged inside these threads? Anybody who don't watch the anime until the season is finished airing so they can binge or anybody who doesn't read a manga arc until it's finished so they don't have to wait weekly is deemed a "troll"? Imagine seeing shadows everywhere.

Man re-reading Volume 14 and 15 has made me realise they'll be like 4 or so episodes till the actual raid happens in Season 4. There's a surprising amount of build up and judging on the trailers they'll most likely expand on Bakugo and Todoroki's provisional training.

If you don't enjoy it then fuck off and stop wailing like a goddamn bitch in heat, that won't change shit. You've been doing that for almost years now to no avail, wasting hours and hours of your day thinking your hot opinions will change how people will view the series with your crusade of stupidity and samefagging which includes putting yourself into a pedestal to seem very smart as it turns out you have the reading comprehension of a African toddler, while comparing to a pseudo-intellectual shounen which can be considered dead by now since the author can't be assed to keep going with it. It's still going strong no matter how many times you cry about it over not suiting your tastes.

It was stated that both emotional and physical stress might evolve a quirk.
Benjamin Diaz
SnK is not well written. See Armin stating the obvious in the previous chapter that Eren was co-erced by Yelena through the wine plot and how he's obviously not on Zeke's side. Not to mention nonsense of Ymir committing essentially committing suicide because it would be too early to reveal the outside world make it abundantly clear that Isayama sees this series as a milking cow. He is far too willing to suspend logic to create false tension and forced mystery. Not to mention its reliance on ebin TWEESTS like Eren ""dying"" in the last chapter. He keeps doing these annoying bait TWEESTS with predictable outcomes, same shock value formula, same stupid cliffhangers that will be thrown into the garbage by next chapter. You can pick out nearly any chapter in the entire manga and find some off the walls radical ramped up nonsense to keep the fujos talking about it.
The end was spelled when he literally admitted to changed the ending midway through to appeal to fans after the series exploded in popularity. For an actually nuanced story where the author never compromises on its complexity for wider appeal I would recommend HxH. The Succession War arc alone has more depth and complexity than the entirety of SNK.
>Physical stress Isn’t that just exercise/training?
Charles Walker
Based. Imagine these low wattage SnKgoobers praising these shit to high heaven. They're barely a tier above Herocucks. So far up Isayama's digestive tract that they can't see bullshit coming from miles away. Fanaticism always dulls critical thinking, such a shame.
Reminder that "people" who say Deku having 7 quirks isn't bad are the same people who don't think Bakugo's explosion velocity isn't the same as real world nitroglycerine because it's a fictional series. Physics don't exist because they disrupt my narrative that Deku needed more quirks beyond One For All. Next they'll say the city blocks AFO vaporized were made of sponge to downplay All Might's durability and that someone with weather powers was there when All Might punched Slime
Hunter Phillips
What the fuck are you talking about?
Caleb Bailey
>"look mom I can read words I'm so smart" fuck off huntard
Wyatt Perry
It can be. It can also be pain, shock, blood loss, or trauma. Shiggy just had most of his hand torn off and was hurled a block away, so he's experienced all that. If a quirk is some sort of survival mechanism, that sort of stress would certainly provide incentive for it to develop at a rapid rate.
Andrew Gray
It almost seems like English, but the sentences don't make sense. Maybe this is some sort of Turing test.
Jaxon Sanders
As it was said before, his reading comprehension is so shit that he interprets mocking as praise. He's barely functional.
Henry Ross
So, are you saying ReDestro will also have a significant power up with a kaiju wrecking his city?
Aiden James
ReDestro will die like a bitch. The point of this entire arc was some worldbuilding and powercreeping the bad guys. The MLA are filler characters.
Tyler Torres
That's stress. We know that activates ReDestro's quirk, so it SHOULD make him stronger. Whether he can Go Beyond any previous barrier and PLUS ULTRA, we don't know yet.
It might give him a fatal heart attack instead.
Alexander Young
Most likely, yeah. Given the narration did say league of villains was about to end somehow. It's never specified how.
Aiden Turner
Old bnha: Character has flashbcks about mommy and this allows him to push his power beyond his physical limits. Current bnha: Character has flashbacks about mommy and this allows him to gain slightly different superpowers.
This is not new and just allows Hori to create more fake tension and asspulls. Sugar man could be out of sugar to create tension, and then BAM flashback, now he can gain strength without Sugar.
Hori can basically have any character he wants win any fight.
Grayson Gray
>Hori can basically have any character he wants win any fight. I mean...it's his story, he can do that
Noah Ortiz
The fact that you have to resort to strawman arguments in order to cope with the truth I posted just tells me that you have no actual rebuttals, and I'm right.
Quantity is not Quality. You can write as many words as you'd like, it doesn't mean what you're writing is relevant or smart in any way.
That's the difference between words in HxH and shonenshit like MHA, everything Togashi writes serves a purpose in it's narrative and pieces together with the story, unlike hacks who try to imitate his style. Pic related.
Here Oito uses her telepathetic powers by manipulating a cockroach to spy on nearby princes' living quarters. Other mangaka would skip forward to the cockroach gathering intel on the enemy wihout further analysing the situation. Togashi is always one step ahead in his critical thinking. He realizes that Oito (while having her consciousness sealed inside an insect) should stray inside the air ducts before even arriving at the enemy's quarters. So he makes her trace the layout of the floor's duct system with her finger, emphasizing if she wanders off even for a moment, she won't be able to find her way back anymore.
That's an underrated quality in Togashi's writings that's beyond the comprehension of low IQ readers. It separates him from the hacks in Shounen Jump like Horikoshi who think writing one line of thought makes them (or their character) intelligent, such as the shallow implication that because Deku "takes notes" and mumbles to himself it means he's smart, this is common of low IQ authors trying to write intelligent characters.
To attain a quality like this and weave it so effortlessly into your own writing speaks a ton about Togashi's real world experience and attentive mind.
>Hori can basically have any character he wants win any fight. >user just realized that fictional stories aren't real and the author can do whatever he wants
Chase Foster
depends if we get 50+ volumes or not
Jose Jones
Based. And can we talk about Togashi's superior paneling? I feel like other mangaka not even trying
>UA students train in safe environments and improve the basic functionalities of their quirks >Villains fight in a life-or-death situation non-stop for a month and evolve their quirks What's the problem here
Togashi borderline autistic attention to detail is indeed part of his genius.
And it's not just exposed through text and long explanations (like all the cards from G.I. for instance) but also subtle stuff that's only conveyed through visual means.
Like pic related, Babimyna is the only one that reacts differently with visibly darker lines behind his face because he can see and follow the nen ability being used while the other ones can't.
All this signifies the effort Oito had to make, that 3 hours for just one quarter's information is a realistic repercussion on Emperor Time. It's all very crucial to the big picture, yet most shounen mangaka (especially those who claim to be intelligent, e.g. Horikoshi) would gloss over details like this. He would never start thinking outside the picture of his creation. How these abilities and plot elements would contradict real life and its applications. Togashi is a man of great intellect and experience. That's why we Hunterchads put our trust in him, as we truly understand that he will always deliver.
>how to get stronger >get your dad to beat you nice series
David Lee
I'm not even defending MHA, it's has one of the worst writings I've ever seen. And yes, HxH is way better than MHA and it has good writing, but it's still shounen and you're not super intellectual with 200 IQ just because you understand it. Stop being a pretentious retard
Carson Hernandez
Because it was a straightforward fight which still hd its underlying complexities. Neither 'needed' to tear up half the city to destroy each other; one was taunting and going for the glory kill on the others terms, the other was at their peak form when it came to trading blows. Contextually, the fight didn't really matter. AfO had already won just by turning up. Either he got the humiliation kill or he gets the long game rewards kill he's playing for now. If you seriously think AfO cannot literally just walk out of Tartarus at any time he feels like, then you're sorely wrong. They made it quite clear that AfO has Ragdolls quirk and what Ragdolls quirk does. Now he gets to kick back, relax, monitor Shiggy, monitor Deku, monitor All Might, monitor anyone he feels like really - then stand up and walk out if anything starts to go wrong.
Aside from the narrative context, half the damn fight is keyframed, so it looks gorgeous.
Would you hate your parent for being a hero and saving strangers lives and not nearly spending enough time with you as a parent should or would you understand it was their duty and while you would still feel some resentment, you loved them and you know they loved you as much as they could?
That art is repulsive and not in an intentional way. What the fuck happened to Hori?
Justin Rodriguez
No you moron, It's an all female version of that previously axed spinoff "BnHA: Smash"
Leo Thomas
If you're a child - whatever your chronological age - you hate them. If you're more psychologically mature you may have mixed feelings, maybe even anger, but you understand they were putting the needs of the many - which also included you - above the needs of the few. Still, it would be hard.
Thanks for explaining it to me. I was actually low-key baiting back there, but there's nothing wrong with the fight. A slugfest can have its own depths.
Toru's quirk appears to involve light manipulation. She's bending light around her, not being physically invisible. As such, quirk evolution, for her, could put her on a god like level of power.
Carter Fisher
Why are they trying physical attacks without A.O.E. he's literally teleporting. He could teleport and shank him at any moment not to mention he's got the pop up spikes right and orbs. WTF is this.
Hori really had to dig himself out of the hole that giving a fixed power to your characters mean, instead of having them evolve by learning new techniques. One Piece kinda solved it by having people be able to learn more and pull more shit with their DFs, but with One Piece's cartoony logic, it's more natural. It's fine, I guess, kinda on par with transformations, it depends on how it's carried on. Being triggered by emotional distress sounds like shit, but being triggered by training would feel like blindly grinding until you power up, a combination of both factors would be better.
Jayden Perez
>apparently triggered via emotional distress instead of actually training your quirk. It's also triggered through training or did you speedread past the arc where many of the students literally trained their quirks to do different things?
Julius' technique with his time magic allows him to predict the flow of mana in the future. If Licht didn't go for fast, precise attacks and absolutely littered the sky with them, Julius would just teleport far away from the AOE and Licht would've wasted mana.
Licht wins the fight with AOE, but he uses it in a creative manner and opens up for a good showcase of character for Julius. Which we'll see next episode.
>Hori really had to dig himself out of the hole that giving a fixed power to your characters mean, instead of having them evolve by learning new techniques. Why is that everyone who hates this manga is a complete fucking joke?
>all those deleted posts Imagine being literally raped so hard you had to cry to jannytrannies to ban everyone you don't like.

Because being a complete fucking joke is a necessary condition to hating the manga?

Because Togashi isn't a cucked corporate wageslave like you and your mangaka. Keep eating up the feces fed to you by an overworked slave mandated by a corporation to be churned out weekly. Don't ask questions. Just consume product then get excited for next products.
I like Black Clover so I don't like shitting on it but these really don't look good. I don't know why but something is off, they feel like high budget youtube animations instead of an actual anime This one is way better though
Jack Jackson
I was trying to find the "next time" HxH compilation, but I couldn't
I wonder who is in charge of the marketing behind bnha with all the stupid ass novels, spin off mangas and that. I can't remember for the life of me bleach or Naruto having more than one silly spin off.
Dominic Phillips
>I can't remember for the life of me bleach or Naruto having more than one silly spin off. Please tell me you're not serious
James Robinson
its because its capeshit. capehit always has unnesecary spinoffs
Levi Mitchell
>seething this hard over capeshit manga made for downie kids Yikes
Benjamin Price
I'm serious. Both had novels, but novels are a given. How many spin off mangas has BNHA had so far? Three? And now four with this one?
Chase King
>main manga has a great setup and then does the most boring shit story with the most unlikeable MC with it >better get some other writers to actually tap this potential Seems reasonable to me
Lincoln Williams
Which main characters don't feel like main characters, and which side characters feel like main characters?
>get blown the fuck out so hard he has been raging the whole thread trying to throw any sort of bait possible >h-haha you guys are sooo mad Holy shit.
Jace Rodriguez
If Class B gets a Spin Off Manga, wouldn't that imply that they will not be relevant in the main manga?
Carson Rodriguez
fucking aoyama's backstory had more weight to it than ochako's
Zachary Turner
>Bakugou ending up with a literal bombshell
Seems fair
Colton Miller
I'd be so happy. I really dislike class B.
Jose Russell
That's true. It's not like Class B was ever relevant to begin with.
Colton King
>Mains that feel like sides Ochunko, Lawfrog, Aizawa, increasingly All Might, increasingly Iida >Sides that feel like mains Edgebirb, Endeavor, Aoyama, Shouji
>All Might is a sad shell of himself >Endeavor is getting his shit together and his son is ready to come to him for training while his he's giving his wife flowers
this timeline. Only Dabi can fuck things up for Endeavor
Connor Hernandez
I still laugh about how Baku gets introduced to one secret conversation between Deku and All Might and suddenly he has more idea about AfO than both of them
Christian Reed
Bakugou sure has a way with words
Ian Hill
Yes. Horikoshi either started to hate his own MC or he was forced to write some boring Deku archetype and always hated him He really can't hide how much he despises him
Dominic Myers
>Both had novels, but novels are a given. Not really.
>How many spin off mangas has BNHA had so far? Naruto had 7 while Bleach had 3
Hori doesn't know how to write fights in general. Like at all.
Tyler Watson
I just hope there's a All Might series spin-off series in which shows how he curbstomped AfO's lackeys and the constant climb he did to be the symbol of peace. The opportunity is there, Hori likely used the movie also to see how people would take on younger All Might
>I DO dislike how it is apparently triggered via emotional distress instead of actually training your quirk >Seems like a cheap way to give someone a power up without any effort on their part >power up without any effort What do you think the gang has done the last two months? They fought against Giga nonstop without rest. Shiggy is tired as shit because he hasn't slept for days. Now they must fight an entire cities all alone. They are being cornered left and right, are injured like hell and can't take rests. The emotional distress you are talking about is not triggering their evolution, but the source of that emotional distress is, which are the extreme conditions there are in right now. Coal under enough pressure turns into diamonds.

I don't see the point in claiming a single thread when we own all of Yea Forums
>left hand in a fist Is she autistic or something stupid happening
Jason Foster
Is this a joke? She had what, maybe 10 chapters with she appears in and only 2 with actual dialogoue? Kinda hard for people to care about a character that is barely around or even talks.

Logan Barnes
And yet, the water is falling down in the gif

Jordan Jenkins
Wow, thanks for posting that shitty ooc, offmodel, shipfag art for the 17th time, your contributions to discussion are greatly appreciated
The closest ones to owning Yea Forums would be /dbz/, given that they are beyond human understanding and standards. One day those retarded spics will be released and the board will never be the same.
That was in the first chapter man damn let it go already.
Angel Ward
So correct me if I'm wrong, but could Mustard be related to Midnight? >Extraordinarily similar quirk, down to the colour >Mustards singlarity approach/ improvement with eugenics is the scale of the gas he produces >Midnight obviously wouldn't be a good mother >Reiterated time and again that all themmembers of the VA had issues in some way or another with society >Evidently has issues with his quirk >Holds a grudge against UA specifically for some reason I just can't think of any other reason why
Thank you. I suppose the viewpoint is that individual villains can be sympathetic, but as a whole the villains have to be 110% evil, and Hori trying to justify the VA is going 'against the grain'?
Camden Morgan
He hasn't apologized so fuck him.
Evan Collins
>as a whole the villains have to be 110% evil At least for Shonen jump which is for little boys
Hunter Martinez
I agree that MHA gets hated just as much as Bleach used to but it took quite a while for retarded autists in Bleach threads to get their shit pushed in every time they started to shitpost.
Blame Deku for being such a fucking cuck he never demanded even the most basic of apologies
Christopher Lopez
Pretty much, yes. Villians are only allowed to be given a sob backstory in shonen as long as they always meant to do something good, like itachi, or if they change their mind because of the MCs. If you give them a sob backstory to justify their villainous behavior then you're fucking up when it comes to WSJ.
Dominic Clark
Bleach went to shit after 300 chapters, during the fullbringer arc and it never recovered. It only took BNHA 115 chapters to reach that status, so it makes sense.
Asher Bailey
You have to understand that nobody adult would read shonen jump to give kids any kind of context Shonen Jump titles are exclusively for 6 year old boys and not even teenagers would read this in japan
Isaac Rodriguez
I can't believe this cute ghost girl would make a manchild this mad. Have sex.
Bleach shit was crazy entertaining BnHA shit is incredibly trite and boring Its not even exiting shit writing
Angel Cox
That is because bleachfags recognized kuboooooooo for the troll and hack he was. Here, if you insult Hori or call him a hack, faggot or whatever you get a swarm of faggots crying at you and calling you a shitposter. The worst think about bnha are its fans who think this is a masterpiece and not cheap yet fun entertainment.
Isaiah Powell
>Here, if you insult Hori or call him a hack, faggot or whatever you get a swarm of faggots crying at you and calling you a shitposter. bullshit The reason I come here is because this is the place for people who hate BnHA and think it is irredeemable dogshit. >and not cheap yet fun entertainment. >yet fun KILL YOURSELF
Xavier Hernandez
He wasn't humbled at that point in time until he got raped by the slime villain and Deku had to save him. He's still a jackass but he's way more butthurt and agitated now than the pompous, egotistical bastard he was in the beginning.
Camden Harris
So what? Deku is still a cuckold until that shit is addressed Which it will never be.
John Gray
The Fullbring arc was mostly boring, not bad and I guess you were speedreading through the TYBW arc like all the other dumbasses.
Dylan Garcia
I like how you guys are worried about it more than Deku ever did. Stop projecting your own lives on fictional characters already.
Jonathan Thomas
Bleach turned to absolute dogshit and it didn't deserve anyone paying attention to it.
Charles Wood
And this disproves your thesis. It's not the Hori defenders that are the problem, it's the mentally ill haters who have seized on this series and can't let go, and don't get perma-banned for their excesses.
(Although the mods probably should do that, before a hater actually kills somebody and the whole site, mods, AND owners get raked over the coals, slowly, in the media.)
Christopher Morgan
I am not worried. Its where I base my entire argument on It would hurt me if Bakugo apologized

Austin Allen
Hori looks like a kid and he said he's still a child mentally. Why are you reading his Manga?
Christian Jackson
The joke here is that Mustard is Midnight's son; and he's become a villain because she refuses to pay child support. So he's trying to extort it out of her.
Thomas Edwards
It would hurt my argument that Deku is a cuck
Again I do appreciate that you think comparing me to Deku is at least an insult. Even if you defend Deku you do think relating to him is an insult I do not relate to him at all as I can't relate to someone with that lack of a backbone but please don't let that stop you from using Decuck as an insult.

Juan Howard
I think everyone knows HxH is shit.
Cameron Diaz
You are pathetic. Is "you need psychiatric help" your go to line when you lost an argument and have no way to argue the point? You are as boring as this manga's writing your next response will be the same again don't even bother typing it. I read it two times now
Connor Kelly

That'd be a lot more productive than what's going on this thread currently
Joshua Perry
But they still did the same shit than before, just more of it
Levi Allen
Why are the novels not considered Canon?
Charles Cruz
They're not written by Hori and they contain content we don't like
Chase Barnes
i don't know, they should be. maybe they are?
Michael Price
anything not written by horikoshi is irrelevant
Jace Brown
Because they aren't revieweds nor approved of by Hori, as oppose to Vigs or the OVA's, whose scripts get sent off to Hori for approval every single time without fail - of which he can alter/stop things he doesn't want going into canon.
But he draws for them, so he knows the content that goes inside?
Angel Ortiz
>Vigs or the OVA's, whose scripts get sent off to Hori for approval every single time without fail Vigs fan detected, there's no way anyone without an awkward amount of investment in it being true would actually believe this
Drawing a pretty picture for marketing and reviewing an entire script for conistancy errors are two completely different things, especially when you're on a mangaka schedule.
Mhm, I see where you're coming from. There were mistakes in the illustration Hori offered for the girls night story after all.
Isaiah Parker
>Hunterchad and whisper posting bumps the fuck out of these threads. Yeah and go figure that this thread is at 130 posters compared to the usual 70-90 we average during the past 3 months. The two consistent things about Hunter posters is they bump these threads and raise the poster count.
Carson Mitchell
yes Doesn't change anything Hori doesn't own bnha jump does. So they could tell him to say the shittiest BakuDeku fanfiction has to be approved by him and he would have to do it.
That would be fucking hilarious but they've been burned so many times by meddling excessively in the past that they kind of don't anymore.
Angel Anderson
Then unless its HxH, which I think is the only manga running now that the author owns, nothing is ever canon because the publisher could force the author to agree to things they may not like.
Better off just accepting that things like Vigilantes and the less 'adventurous' OVAs are canon, while other things like the Novels are far less so.
Eli Martin
This thread is shit like him manga
Elijah Butler
>Better off just accepting that things like Vigilantes and the less 'adventurous' OVAs are canon, while other things like the Novels are far less so. No There is no "less/more canon". There is canon (the manga) fanfiction (everything else) Vigilantes is as canon to me as any fanfiction you find on the internet.
Andrew Lewis
>him manga
Jonathan Sanders
This is a good Bakugo doppleganger. Better than the original
Sadly, nobody gives a shit what 'you' conider canon, you fucking narcissist. There is canon, and there is non-canon. The manga, Vigs, and the OVA's are canon - animeonly scenes/episodes, the LNs and the Movie are non-canon.
Hunter Martin
>Sadly, nobody gives a shit what 'you' conider canon, you fucking narcissist. No You also don't consider it actual canon I can prove that Otherwise you would think the new stuff with the guy having O'clock would have huge implications about noumus and the overall story BnHa will go But its not real canon its a side story and wont swap over that much Its not really canon
Jose Bennett
I consider what Hori writes canon. Everything else is inspired on his work, but since it isn't his own idea then it isn't canon.
Asher Anderson
The writer of Vigilantes literally told the interviewer that Hori goes over whatever he's written and decides what to leave and what has to be removed. Unless you think this guy is publicly lying and Hori never corrected him than Vigilantes is totally canon compliant. If you dislike Vigilantes enough to ignore that it is canon, thats on you, but it is set in the same universe and fits in with the main plot.
It does have huge implications, it's just never discussed because we have autists who'd rather inform the world that they want to fuck ____ over talk about the actual narrative. Feel free to mke the next thread OP on the villain factory, nobody is stopping you.
Jaxon Morales
>The writer of Vigilantes literally told the interviewer that Hori goes over whatever he's written and decides what to leave and what has to be removed. I KNOW So fucking what? That is nice. They can keep it consistent. Its also nice if some fanfiction writers go through the effort and trying to make their fanfiction consistent and not refute the main canon That is not enough to make something canon
Gabriel Cruz
Asspull justification. In the future when someone asspulls random ass shit from being in a "stressful" situation people will just say DURR HURR QUIRK EVOLUTION STRESS

Gavin Phillips

Some anons are mentally ill and lack self-awareness.
Oliver Sanders
The difference is that Bleach's autism was all that was written in the manga and the fans had no choice but to take it at face value. Everything you posted were failed shiposting attempts that people tried to push but got their shit kicked in by logic the "Rewind Loli Quirk" was especially a big one since they were so sure that she would fix everything and were proven dead wrong by the end of the arc that it stopped being used altogether.
>I agree that MHA gets hated just as much as Bleach used to No its not. People back then generally agreed that Bleach was the weakest of the Big 3 hence why people laughed at it when it dropped in sales and only people left supporting it were Kubo worshipers and autistic tripfags like LoN and Lab Member making autistic theories. MHA is hated because of its popular and that's it I mean most of the arguments made against it are inane and people act like everything it does is a grave sin to shounen manga when its just doing what they all fucking do hence why its always retard from BC, OP and HxH starting shit as oppose to fans of manga outside of shounen. Most everyone at a certain point whether it be shounentards or moefags agreed that Bleach was garbage at a certain point and it eventually stopped being a topic of discussion.
>Bleach shit was crazy entertaining So entertaining people dropped the manga and discussions ceased.
If Eri becomes a hero she will end up fixing everything.
Wyatt Rodriguez
>So entertaining people dropped the manga and discussions ceased. Yes. I still think boring shit is far worse than crazy shit Ideally you obviously don't want shit but we sadly don't have that choice with Bleach nor BnHA
>bleach:120 million copies sold look at this literal nigger thinking bnha will ever do half as much while it barely broke 20 millions recently, look at him and laugh
Gavin Sullivan
>MHA is hated because of its popular You act like it's popularity somehow shields it from critique, I loved this series I really did, but joint training fucked the entire series in the ass. The current arc has given me hope but now it looks like Hori is gearing up to throw that good will down the drain by squandering the MLA, the existence of a covert force working behind the scenes that has the full possibility to test the loyalties of existing characters. Instead he is having them job to a cookie cutter, I had a bad childhood so now I want to destroy the world villain. Lets face it, for reasons I cannot fathom Hori has developed the tendency to shoot the series in the foot whenever he has the potential to make diversions from the norm.
Samuel Adams
>look at this literal nigger thinking bnha will ever do half as much while it barely broke 20 millions recently, Bleach didn't make break 20 million until it was 25 volumes in.
James Young
MHA is pretty generic, boring writing. I'd understand you defending it so much if it was your first shonen and it had sentimental value for you
Kevin Hill
>You act like it's popularity somehow shields it from critique, I didn't but the main reason why it attracts these "critiques" is because its popular.
>but joint training fucked the entire series in the ass Imagine actually thinking that a fucking simple training exercised fucked the series in the ass.
>Instead he is having them job to a cookie cutter, I had a bad childhood so now I want to destroy the world villain. Now when you say stupid ass shit like this nobody will take you seriously because you're being obtuse and purposely missing the big picture and as long as you keep doing it I'm never going to change my stance.
>MHA is pretty generic, boring writing This isn't an argument Try again.
Christopher Taylor
>The manga is shit for not following my headcannon
Everytime.
James Diaz
What would you do to improve the manga user?
Oliver Richardson
>I didn't but the main reason why it attracts these "critiques" is because its popular. it's such an obvious cope it'd be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic
you sound like a 12 year old girl defending her favorite popstar
Nolan Wilson
What exactly is there to cope? Its not like you're making good arguments or anything. All you can do is throw petty insults because the only reason you're here is because its getting more attention than your favorite manga.
Any legitimate criticism gets filtered by your deluded brain as "non argument". You're annoying.
Julian Russell
>Its not like you're making good arguments or anything Its not like you are encouraging that in any way >if anyone says anything bad about Bnha its because BnHA is popular Wow I am sure surprised people don't waste their time giving you good arguments why BnhA is bad. Its not like you directly told them you don't care about arguments.
>i-it's not like you're making good arguments baka!! of course you would say it's bad arguments you sperg, it criticizes your precious capeshit story
who the fuck made you the arbiter of argument quality? you're just asspained by a growing number of people seeing bnha for the shit that it is and you're desperately trying to cope, it's ok I forgive you
>Any legitimate criticism You have to post them first in order for them to be legitimate.
>Its not like you are encouraging that in any way Encouraging what? If you don't like something you should be smart enough to be able to explain why its bad instead of spouting shitty memes. >Its not like you directly told them you don't care about arguments. Again why should that factor into anything? Franxx was popular but that didn't stop Yea Forums from ripping it to shreds to the point where the fanbase really couldn't defend it.
>of course you would say it's bad arguments you sperg, it criticizes your precious capeshit story The difference is that I can actually point out why its a bad argument and why you're a dumbass for believing it. Meanwhile the best you can do is just say "something is bad because I don;t like it" and expect retards like this to agree with you to create a circlejerk rather than a compelling argument.
> you're just asspained by a growing number of people seeing bnha for the shit that it is and you're desperately trying to cope I'm asspained that the fanbase attracts retards like you and I'm trying to cope shitting on your arguments left and right while the series continues to get popular? Yeah I'm coping aright! Imagine being so much of a cuck that you have to troll in a thread of a series you don't like for attention.
>but I DO dislike how it is apparently triggered via emotional distress instead of actually training your quirk Well for the cases we've seen so far this arc, that emotional distress also followed a month or two's worth of constant fighting and quirk usage. The LoV has been training absurdly hard, perhaps they had already developed those evolved abilities fighting giga but just didn't realize it until the MLA put them in a position to use them.
Kayden Perez
90% of these threads - all the shipping, the 'cute and canon', the baiting, the HxH, BC, and other series sneering, the shitposting - would be gone, because the people doing it would be gone, permanently. What would be left would be discussion of BnHA, period. The mods wouldn't have to delete thread after thread, and they'd have much less work.
The haters couldn't stand that...
Jace Diaz
I'm not that guy, but you could improve this manga massively by not doing what Hori did with the MLA. These guys are the most interesting antagonists in the series so far, and have the possibility of instigating the most interesting plot developments, and Hori has used them only for developing the VA (who still aren't as interesting as the MLA). Even after everything that has happened the VA doesn't feel like final antagonist level threats, because despite the hype, the MLA never felt threatening - if this arc was designed to make the VA scary it failed.
Hori did this before with the Yakuza, introducing a new Villain Group then killing them off in the same arc, but they were such stupid assholes that it was fun to see them lose. The MLA on the other hand has a better goal, smarter plans, and are just more threatening on paper than the VA and they are still being used as canon fodder.
Josiah Nguyen
Can someone explain how Tokoyami can fly with his stand quirk? It literally doesn't make any sense because it's body attached to Tokoyami.
Imagine trying to lift yourself up into flying. No matter how much you can lift you can't lift your own body into flying.
Dark shadow can float and he has strength of his own? That's my explanation.
Ayden Howard
You're arguing with haters. You can't win by being rational because they aren't.
David Cook
>replying to yourself
Jackson Miller
>Dark Shadow is always floating
Brody Watson
If you don't mind my saying, you sound like the one who is 12.
Or younger.
Owen Brooks
Notice how not that people replied. All you have to do is beat them at their own game and they're powerless.
Ryder Collins
It's attached to him, but it doesn't move via pressure on Tokoyami. It's not like a muscle, it moves in a supernatural way via floating. So if it can carry things while floating, it follows that it can carry Tokoyami as well.
Basically Dark Shadow just operates like a stand.
Lincoln Mitchell
>Meanwhile the best you can do is just say "something is bad because I don;t like it" you're a delusional faggot >Imagine being so much of a cuck that you have to troll in a thread of a series you don't like for attention. it's funnier to make bugmen like you seethe than to read this shitshow yes, but I still enjoy reading bnha for what it is, which is a very low quality but well drawn story full of potentially retarded future reveals I can't wait to see

Why exactly would I be seething over a shitposter not liking a critically acclaimed manga? It just makes you look like hater for going in threads and trying to push a narrative that doesn't exist because you crave attention. The worst thing you can do is call the manga shit but what exactly does that really mean?
Actually, I would say Deku is the one who has the possibility of instigating the most interesting of plot developments. He's supposed to be the next Symbol of Peace, the pillar of society, the one who makes it all work. What if he looks at the current Hero Society, with its failures like Gentle, its problems like the LoV, its enemies like the LA, and says, "This sucks. We need to change it." I can't tell if Hori is subtly developing a Deku who thinks the very system that created him is fatally flawed, or if I'm seeing what isn't there. We'll find out over time.
Jayden Lewis
Congratulations! Keep up the good work!
