Reminder
I wonder when the mangaka decided that Gensai was going to win the tournament? I mean, there was no story significance behind Gensai, no real plot or backstory or motivation behind him or his backer. Gensai's skills were just better than the normal chuni fighters.
he probably decided who wins what fight just comparing each fighter abilitys, maybe a good part of the fights were decided during the drawing and discussing it whit the rest of the team, exept for ohma, he got a special treatment
Julius is confirmed /fitlit/ tho
Sandwich said the Beard was originally going to quit his fight with Rihito and become his willing teacher
The better question is how far do you guys think Rihito could've gone if they went with the original idea? Pic related. Gensai conceding against Rihito out of pity and then training him throughout the tourney. Imagine the reaction if Rihitio had the same run as Gensai.
Oy vey
That makes sense. Usually the plot is identical with the tournament in fighting serie, but they seem almost completely disconnected in Kengan Asura, except for Ouma getting to the finale.
his next oponent would have been the gay boner prodigy, i think he would have still lose
Not far i guess
This looks like Baki if the mangaka knew how to draw. Is that the jist of it?
No, this is better than Baki
as someone who has read Baki, this is fact, Kengan is wayyyyyy better
This didn't get overwhelmed with the spiritual bullshit that Baki has in the past few years.
But early Baki is probably better, slightly.
did anybody else really want the fang to beat him? I was kind of disappointed honestly because I thought the fang was really cool
Is baki but good writing
Please stop trying to start a fanbase war; won't work.
What’s your favorite fight? I can’t really say a favorite but I really enjoyed muteba vs sekibayashi.
All of Jun's fights were gold.
I hope we get more of him in Omega.
The Fang was great but his defeat was necessary. Thanks to that, Agito can step down from his position as the Fang of Metsudo and explore the world to get stronger. He is even smiling in the last chapters.
Gensai was just better. The fact Gensai read so ahead of the fight and used the devil lance in Agito's arm and hand to cripple his strength (which is extremely important, after Gensai breaks his hand, Agito tries to grab him with his other arm only for Gensai to slip from his grip thanks to those previous attacks), proves the power of martial arts.
Wrestling vs Sumo
Is my general fav... I cried everytime i Re-read the seki’s backstory
>I wonder when the mangaka decided that Gensai was going to win the tournament
According to his notes. After he considered the strongest man should win the tournament.
Fang’s defeated at the right time, O MY EVOLUTION was getting old and it’s fitting he’s beaten by the pinnacle of martial artists
Everybody knew that Ohma was losing after Agito lost. It was too obvious especially with how hyped of The Fang was for the entire tournament.
Now Ohma vs Agito, that is the one match I still want to see to this day but we got cucked out if hard.
>Everybody knew that Ohma was losing after Agito lost.
I wouldn't be so sure. I was there with the original viet scans and people were speculating if Ohma could win or not.
Especially because after the victory of Gensai against Agito, anything was posible.
I don't think we got cucked of the fight against Agito. Agito was surpassed by someone who was a better fighter (if the tournament proved something, is that technique and experience can always surpass someone who is stronger or more talented than you).
And Ohma fought against the man who defeated the Fang, so at the end, it was pretty cool. He even came close to defeating Kuroki.
I haven't read Baki since the middle of the Pickle shit.
