Yeah she had mixed feelings. She wanted him but also hated him for being a better pilot (her only pillar of self worth) and not reciprocating her advances. She literally breaks down and cries because Shinji doesn't kiss her back, break her 'wall of jericho', only have eyes for her, etc. She never explicitly says it because she's so stubborn so hides her want behind plausible deniability. There's also an argument to be made for her viewing Shinji as a 'mother' figure. I don't think it is as clear cut as she likes him or hates him.

Ogata also takes a very Shinji-like tone to talk about Eva, like she's struggling to articulate something she noticed for the first time but deeply impressed her, she can't just compare it to something she's encountered in her professional career and sound like she knows what she's talking about. Mitsuishi seems to identify with Misato the same way Misato does others, it's literally her but not so she can give them credit without her self-loathing. I'm pretty sure Ishida does it, too, because he doesn't sound near as vacuous and insistent he has privileged secret knowledge when he isn't talking about Kaworu.

But then there are guys like Tatsuki who'll just describe trying to give all of Gendo's lines gravitas, not say one word about the difference in tone between Gendo tersely responding to authorities, getting more snide and playful manipulating people he's not worried about, and being almost anxious one-on-one with Rei or Shinji or Yui and sounding like he wants to say more. Seiyuu aren't necessarily going to understand why they're asked for more takes or why a particular one gets used.
