I'm reading the manga. It's nothing outstanding or original, but it's a solid battle shounen with fun characters and emotional payoff. The author executes shounen tropes well enough and is not afraid to kill off characters. I personally give it a 8.
If you don't like battle shounen to begin with, however, you won't like this manga.
