Why did he never train if he wanted to be a hero so badly?

You’re either a speedreader or a troll; either way, fuck off.

Seething

if he did there wouldnt be a training montage, which is bad because the manga has to pretend he worked hard for his gifted chosen one 7 quirks

I've been following the manga for a while now and from what I understand, Deku never trained or did any exercise before getting the quirk from All Might.
This doesn't make sense to me since he was aiming to get into the biggest hero school.

Depression, internalized inferiority, childhood of crushed dreams, and deep down having the knowledge his dream was impossible without powers but still tried to deny it as much as his already shattered ego allowed him until All Might---the man he admired most and inspired his dreams---also telling him it was impossible and snuffed out that last bit of hope before he would later reignite it. He just heard 'you cant' all his lofe the moment someone finally told him he could it inspired him to actually truly try (hence his breakdown when all might tells him he can be a hero) and change instead of just living in denial with the most lukewarm attempts to shut out reality. He really just needed to be told he could. All Might promising him power and training him came about afterwards.

No reason really, his fags can only reply by

Deku has to train and work extremely hard to unlock One For All at the start of the manga, and constantly afterwards. He is never given anything on a silver platter, he has to work.

He has to train for 6 months compared to bakugo who has been training his while life

Millenial. Won't do anything unless success guarantied. Even Asta is better protag.

Cringe

Bakugo also happened to have a quirk.

Didn't he have like 15 full written note books of useful hero shit written? And which 13 year old kid can build real muscles unless they're a freak of nature?

Is it really necessary to make this thread so often?

>Didn't he have like 15 full written note books of useful hero shit written?
Yeah, but he never worked out.
>And which 13 year old kid can build real muscles unless they're a freak of nature?
Who cares? What matters is training. He did nothing. Even people with quirks trained their bodies. We see Kirishima do it for example.
People only really started using their quirks freely once they joined UA. They were not allowed to do much with them before like you seem to imply. Having a quirk or not is irrelevant when you want to train your body. If you are quirkless then it should be even more important to you.

>Who cares?
Ehh, so him not being a retard trying to train when it would barely do anything is a bad thing?

Bad writing, quirks supposedly can't be matched but Stein could take on 3 of them at once at still without relying on his quirk

dumb sperg

>boomers are the ones who fucked this planet yet love to pass the buck and blame everyone else
I can't wait to shit on your grave

he is underage so............. no gym membership until you are 16

>when it would barely do anything is a bad thing?
>He shouldn't train even though he wants to be a hero
Yeah, nice rebuttal. If he wanted it so much he would have tried to maximize his chances. When All Might showed his skeleton form he didn't believe him at first because All Might is ripped.

No point in training if you lack a quirk, Miruko literally has superhuman physical strength by default and would kick your ass no matter how hard you trained.

Probably because he never really believed in himself or had a plan for it. His wanting to be a hero was just a pipe dream, and furthermore he was constantly put down by his peers for being quirkless, so he developed an inferiority complex and stopped trying

This

He didn't even be a try to be a hero by picking up trash and giving directions, unlike the chad Hauler.

He was segregated for being 'normal' and it affected his moral.
Well, now imagine being segregated for your skin tone or your sex condition, sounds ridiculous right?

But it didn't stop him from approaching danger zones and take notes. Or apply for the exam, or tell to everyone that he wanted to be a hero?

>What is self-determination

He's a lazy shit. Being a hero was his fantasy, but he had already accepted the reality of his situation so he never bothered.

Wow. You must not have much friends.

This makes the most sense desu
Also begs the question, how did gyms change with 80% of people getting superpowers?

>this argument again

This is the correct answer, but this is a bait thread, so get ready for eight pages of "Decuck" spamming nevertheless.

Stupid speedreaders. All Might told him to train his body before getting OfA because his scrawny little build couldn't handle the quirk. He had to go from skinnyfat loser to ripped loser as a requisite to getting the quirk.

As for why he didn't do any hero training before that: why would he? Why would he train to get into a school where one of the most basic requisites is having a quirk, when he had no quirk? I'll level with you guys and say he should've at least considered training to be a cop, but I don't like Deku as a character anyway

Honestly, Deku is a realistic representation character who gave up on life. He put on a facade for himself and everyone around him but he knew. He represents all the people who wanted to do something in their life but were too afraid to actually go through with any plans because they feared failure. Deep down Deku knew he could never be a hero. So he didn't try.

I wonder how the story would have progressed if everything up until All Might offered OFA to Deku still happened but he never did. Would the taste of recognition and adrenaline as well as acknowledgement from All Might give Deku the resolve to try despite being quirkless or would he have given up even harder?

Deku was designed to appeal to bullied kids and weak-willed faggots, aka the lower denominator, that believes if somehow they were placed, without work for it, in a better position they could be great.
So yeah, Deku never trained, a minimal of fitness is needed for the test so there is no excuse or tried a down to earth approach to life.
Even Hori knows how disgusting Deku is, which is why he constantly makes a buffoon of his mc.

Fuck off with your Asta comparison clover fag

>maximize his chances
If you think a teen who goes to the gym is at all comparable to a dude who can create explosions from his hands you are fucking retarded

Go do some cosplay bitch boy
