Remember Yugami's original purpose is to one-up Chihiro after this And it's not like there is no development in their relationship. Chihiro is the one understanding Yugami the most and is willing to listen to his advice while everyone else just brushes him off as a weirdo. For his part, Yugami enjoys Chihiro's companionship and their conversations. It's actually amazing to see how they rubbed off each other over time. Yugami is now more considerate toward her and Chihiro is more assertive toward him.

Because they accept each other for what they are, the rest are just benefits.

What kind of pay off do you want? This manga never needed any in the first place. It's "Yugami-kun doesn't have friends", not "Yugami-kun wants to make friends".
I also disagree that Yugami haven't grown. The change is subtle but it's there. Despite his competency, he has failed multiple times and has to change his approach accordingly. Just in this chapter, we have Chihiro convincing him to adapt and give up on his original plan.

I'd rather have a working adult sequel. Yugami could get by just fine in school but it will be interesting to see if he can still defy social conventions in a working environment.

It's even more amazing when you know this is the mangaka's first serialization and it was planned to be only one volume long. Yugami-kun was Sakura Jun's last ditch effort for a serialization. If they hadn't accepted it, the author would've quit the manga business altogether. We're so lucky Japan has good taste for once.

No idea. But it must have been successful enough to last 16 volumes like it did.

Usually when a manga ends in Sunday, it says if the author is working on something new or not. It didn't have anything for Sakura Jun, which worries me, although it could mean that he might start a manga in another Sunday magazine (which makes sense since Yugami started in Sunday Super anyways.)

The epilogue kinda made me dislike Yugami

He actually doesn't like baseball and he didn't actually like his baseball teammates.

Baseball was just a stepping stone for his desired Space Industry Career by making him get noticed on a potential resume toward his future space employer. He could care less about the sport and he doesn't seem to actually enjoy baseball since his main interest was revealed to be Space.

I wish I could be half as much emotionally fulfilled on my own as Yugami.

I can't find anything definite in that thread. The author did tweet about an epilogue but I'm not sure if they were talking about chapter 81 or something extra in the volume.
To be honest, it's kinda hard to sell Yugami. How do you come up with a story description that sounds interesting enough? It's basically just a SoL about a guy who doesn't have friends and a girl who wants to make friends. They're not even interested in each other (for the most part). We often ridicule stories with cliche or trashy premises people still read them anyway. Meanwhile Yugami's greatest strength lies in the characters, which can only be appreciated by reading the manga.

A daily life of a guy who is INTJ to an extreme degree.

I think that part was only referring to his college baseball period, and what Chihiro thinks is that he used that period to train his body. I don't remember anything about trying to impress employers, but I could be wrong.

You shouldn't be surprised. He makes it clear several times that he gives no shit about his teammates. He's only in it for the sense of personal accomplishment. He also doesn't particularly love baseball; he just loves winning. The athletic festival showcases this clearly. He didn't care about the sport events in the previous years, but he wants to finish the last one with a win. His class coming second doesn't matter as long as he wins his race.
Yugami is an exceptional character because he's not misunderstood or secretly cares about people like many other loner wannabe characters. He is an unabashed selfish jerk who only does things to satisfy himself.

This is not a harem manga dude. If Yugami has to end up with someone then Chihiro is the only option. She's the only person outside of his family willing to talk and listen to him on a daily basic. Momose is so vain and shallow that she would dump him over some stupid dolphins. Rio is just as self-sufficient and competent as Yugami but she expects too much from people while he doesn't care about anyone but himself.
On the other hand Chihiro can provide new perspectives to Yugami and makes him more considerate toward people. She is also patient and forgiving enough to put up with his selfishness. Most importantly, she can "translate" for him so that he won't piss off everyone he talks to. Sure she is plain but that's her character. However, she has the most growth out of all characters in this manga. At the beginning she was willing to be everyone's gofer just to feel like she had friend. Over the course of the story, she became more assertive, independent, and determined to the point that she speaks up for Yugami against the whole class. It's an awesome moment if you ask me.
Did they? I haven't read the last 15 or so chapters, but so far everyone in the team dislikes Yugami to various degree.
Kadota and other team members may show up in the epilogue (if we have one). I don't see Yugami keeps in touch with them though.

It was originally a very docile and timid creature, but longtime exposure to Yugami's awesomeness has made it bolder and smugger (only toward Yugami though) despite being as stupid as before.

Ironically, what make the manga good (no self-insert, no waifu war, no fanservice, no muh friendship, no bullshit drama, characters actually have depth rather than being a collection of tropes, grounded comedy but still funny as heck, etc) are also what make it not stand out enough at the first glance.
I mean, just look at the first volume cover. The cover is really good because it accurately signifies the content of the manga, but the majority of people would overlook it for something flashier. What other manga put the heroine in the blurry foreground like this?

I mixed up TL-user and Traumerei Scans. I thought the reason the manga’s recent everyday translations was slowly becoming 2 every 2-3 days was because the group in Traumerei doing Yugami went to Japan. It turns out it was TL-user I was referring to in . Whoops, my mistake.
Keeping that in mind, though, to answer , it’s probably going to be out around the same time as usual

TL user returns one day before the last volume drops. Talk about bad timing.
