It's been nearly a week but I still can't accept it. The first poll results were by comparison far easier to accept. Sensei was first, which was a bit surprising, but I get it. There are people who feel attracted to her character, a teacher in a harem is a bit different, but it just turned me off when 90% of her chapters were just rehashing the same situation with "Oh no, I'm such a mess! Help me Yuiga-kun!". But I guess people like that, and it's not all that unexpected. Sure, around 1.4k or so people voted for her more but she does have great fanservice appeal (although I'm unsure if this is all that she had to win over the others).
But, the second poll I didn't expect. The positions didn't change, which was good. How did Sensei gain over 9000 votes while Fumino LOST 1k votes? It was something that I never could have seen. I mean, just look at the following for Fumino, she deserved so much more:

It dragged and JB leaned on the I will support you scene by making the dialogue broader than it actually was. Sensei's kept you wanting more at each chapter's end, finally shed light on sensei's past paying off all the built-up characterization and series themes, made her significantly more sympathetic with how vulnerable she was willing to be in front of Nariyuki and set the mood of the climax so romantically that it's very hard not to take what Nariyuki said as marriage proposal. Also, the laptop password was anticlimactic and Reiji's assholishness being downgraded to a major misunderstanding that lasted years and years was disappointing.

Yes they were. It was all about Fumino facing her family issues head on.

Sensei's moments have levels of intimacy that none of the other girls are even close to. She's the one Nariyuki wanted to be there for a pivotal moment in his life and he's the one Sensei asked for help on deciding her future. They have a very good reason not to get so cozy with one another but they pretty much forget all about it when they're alone by themselves and are unreasonably comfortable with each other. Fumino comes off as a girl with a crush but Sensei pretty much plays the role of Nariyuki's wife already.
