In previous thread, I saw something about Grays's chant being different in the novels. Is that true? How does it sound?
Lord El-Melloi II Case Files
Gray. Rave. Crave. Deprave.
Grave me.
Grave for you.
Gray a cute!
>make the harem protag gay
Based.
In the novel vol 1 it is
>"Gray...Rave...Crave...Deprave..."
>"Engrave...in me..."
>"...a grave...for you..."
>>"Engrave...in me..."
>>"...a grave...for you..."
That actually sounds sensible.
>saved all Gray images I could
>go to bed
>wake up
>only 1 new image on booru sites
WHY ISN'T THERE MORE ART REEEEEE
Makes more sense than just being retarded/dense.
Speaking of which, I wonder how much "compensation" Melvin got from Waver to make up for his massive debt to him?
She looks like saber
Why are mages idiots when it comes to common sense?
>relying on boorus
No way!!
its saber as a 15 year old goth shy qt before she pulls out her big reaper
I want to fug her.
Logic, reason and common sense only holds you back when dealing with magic.
i dont have a pixiv account and can't into moon runes
He's still paying it off.
That's so chuuni. Gray should be embarrassed for acting like this at her age.
nvm I do have an account somehow, and I found the tag. its easier now with the pop up images when hovering the moon runes
But Fate is chuuni
It's not Fate without the Engrish. They had to change it to be in line with the rest of the series.
Im the bone of my sword is cool. Gray chant is cringy
>tfw we'll never see Strange/Fake Gray
What about the Animusphere's chant ?
>Star (Shape of the Star), Cosmos (Shape of Space), Gods (Shape of Gods), Animus (Shape of Myself). Antrum (Celestial Bodies are Hollow) . Anvas (Hollow is the Void). Anima, Animusphere (In the Void, lies God)
I must admit Strange Fake is like a fanservice for powerlevelfags but god damn its so fucking cool. Not to be able to see Enkidu vs Gilgamesh or Archer Herc in anime form is a fucking crime
But Enkidu vs Gilgamesh will be anime soon
they will do it eventually. free money. let me post something they will never do however.
How much FGO money goes into this show's budget?
From FGO 3rd Anniversary interview in 2017
>Nasu: I can’t reveal anything concrete yet at the moment, but rest assured that we’ve been making progress on various titles within TYPE-MOON. I’d like to apologize about not having anything to say right now. But all I can say is that as long as FGO is in service, I just have to make the Tsukihime R collaboration a dream come true.
>4Gamer: !
>Nasu: That’s why I feel that producing good content for FGO and releasing Tsukihime R are the duties entrusted to me and all of TYPE-MOON. After all, I also want to see SSR Arcueid Brunestud happen!
Ah yeah. Forgot Babylonia. Still prefer the fight in Strange Fake. You can see Enkidu's attack from fucking outer space
whydunnit
I just realized that Troyca did FGO OP2
What kino levels are we on?
Probably a lot. Waver (Zhuge Liang in GO) is a massive crutch for everyone and was THE support servant until Merlin was dropped.
Cute
what a cringefest
I mean he still is, Merlin is better for hard quests but Waver is more used due to farming.
Kojiro himself managed to attain Tsubame Gaeshi because fuck common sense.
Nasuverse magibabble taking up more than half the runtime is real fucking hit or miss, isn't it? I fucking adored it in KnK and I love it here too.
>subs are complete trash
For fucks sake. I haven't watched ep 2 yet but ep 1 was a dumpster fire and that's just from looking at how many lines barely make sense. Why can't crunchy roll get a decent team for this?
He is still being used a lot until Skadi since she can also give 50% NP, but Skadi + Waver is also nice for those who can only borrow Skadi from support
Blame Funimation.
I thought this was aniplex's fault. Does funi have us distribution rights or something?
Reminder that lewds are available here
Shut up fgo fag
What I want:
>774 Yupiel-style doujin of Reines domming Waver and similar femdom doujins
What we'll get:
>Typical Asanagi femdom reversal mindbreak shit and similar rape doujins
Not to doompost, but seriously fuck the modern doujin market.
I want doujin where Reines forces Waver to fuck Gray.
soon
So are Mary Animusphere and Olga the same person?
Literally Mononoke with Fate characters
Kind of. It's more like KnK: UK Edition.
I wish it was as atmospheric as either though.
Has anyone made any art of her as a loli?
By Mary you mean that Mary in ep 2 ? Of course they are two different people
>>imply Gray wont just leglock him
there is some
Mary's from a branch family, Olga is from the main bloodline.
If it's Asanagi he'd base it off gachashit and you'll make do with Sima Yi though.
neat, thanks.
I won't read it either way, I'm just sad that 774 won't deliver.
Same thing happened with Tanya, you can give the doujin market the best material in the world to work from and it'll still manage to disappoint.
How much fate background do I need to enjoy this fully? I've read FSN and UBW from the original VN, watched the Zero anime a while back, and half watch Apocrypha (but didn't finish since it was pretty boring). I haven't really been keeping up with all this nu-Fate and FGO stuff. But any Fate without Shirou in it has to be decent right?
>I've read FSN and UBW from the original VN
You lost me. Do you mean you read the Fate and UBW routes, or did you read the whole of FSN?
Also, if you've read FSN and watched Zero that's probably all you really need for this specific adaptation. It also touches upon stuff from FGO but you don't really need it to get what's going on. Touko from KnK/Mahoyo also shows up in the novels but unless they put her in the anime original material she probably won't show up. That said, KnK is awesome and kind of in the same vein as Case Files anyway, so you should watch it (and ideally read it) at some point regardless.
Sorry yeah I mean I read the FSN and UBW routes. I couldn't bother to finish HF since I hate Wormslut and really fucking hated Shirou by that point. But good to know that I don't need to go full FGO to enjoy this. As long as there's no Shirou (or Sieg) I'm happy, and grown up Waver is pretty cool.
Well the more you get nasuverse magic the more you can follow the whydunit trail I guess.
Well, yes.
But Waver needs to stick it in first.
nigger
Magi really cause nothing but trouble. Every problem in this franchise was caused by magi. If they were gone, the world would be more peaceful.
I never heard of this magecraft before.
But to be in a leglocking position means you're face to face right, I think Waver would be more of a doggy style/reverse cowgirl fan so he doesn't lose his boner from saberface.
You will definitely be able to understand Case Files though. Since the Animusphere play a big role in Rail Zeppelin case, it would be a bit better if you know about them but even if you don't, it will still be understandable and it seems like they will introduce it to some degree in the original content (like Olga's tutor - who is a big deal in this case just briefly appeared in ep 2). There are some stuff about Mystic Eyes and Quantum Time-Lock too but i'm sure they will explain it.
Small trivia but Rail Zeppelin has been a thing since Tsukihime. It was mentioned in Mahoyo too.
Has Fastwheels 2 ever even displayed interest in women before?
Not true, Velber, CMB and Gaia being angsty can't really be pinned on magi.
>Rail Zeppelin has been a thing since Tsukihime
Where was it referenced? It's been years since I read it.
He likes this red-head cutie, for one thing.
Atlas are always trying their best to save humanity despite being full of world-destroying geniuses (read: idiots), user. And Clock Tower magi conceal, develop and manage magecraft as well as the magus society.
Yeah, he might be gay. Plus, I get the feeling that even if he did fall for a girl, it'd probably be an older woman. It's suspicious how he has a ton of young fans but seems to have no interest in a girlfriend. He might prefer adult bodies, if he even likes women at all.
Why is she such a semen demon?
They're pretty desperate, but from what I can tell, whatever disaster's gonna befall the Tsukihime worldline in the future is beyond their ability.
Anime only of course, but I hope the cases are a little bit more complex as the episodes go on, I mean, knowing about mages and stuff, it was pretty clear what happened the moment they ruled out suicide because he didn't want to die.
Even if him being a gay is just a joke, they sure do love to capitalize on it.
Maybe
Maybe Tsukihime worldline is a Lostbelt
It'd be a pretty Nasu-like joke. The most popular dude at the Clock Tower among female students is actually a homo who likes muscle men. Reines and Gray will have to look elsewhere.
Traditional magi have no reason to have sexual inhibitions. Rin was casual (if awkward) about the whole mana transfer business and she had a pretty wonky upbringing, Reines has been amongst the Clock Tower elite for her entire life.
Luvia almost killed Waver because he walked in on her relaxing in her underwear. Sure seemed embarrassed there.
Also she was blushing heavily when waver held her hand to help her cast a spell.
It hasn't reached that point yet. All we know is some great disaster's gonna befall the human race within a hundred years and no one at Atlas knows how to avert it. Arcueid herself seems to believe humanity's doomed. May have something to do with the Human Order being in decline.
isnt that the setting of angel notes? probably humanity killed the planet due or something.
For those who don't understand what the fuck Quantum Time-Lock/Human Order Foundation is
I guess it varies. Rin would probably do the same thing despite being easygoing about mana transfers, it's a weird line between what is and isn't appropriate.
That's something different. That's just humanity overusing the world's resources to the point of killing it. No matter how much resources we drain, we're probably not gonna kill off the planet by 2100.
The threat on humanity was referred to as "Program No.6" by Zepia. Learning about the Sixth is what drove him made and caused him to become TATARI. Whatever this threat is, it's not just human industrial expansion.
They were touching magic circuits, that's like magus lewd.
Lostbelts are still branches of the Human Affirmation worldlines even if they deviated from the intended system, Nasu said Tsukihime has a completely different Affirmation system to begin with.
I'm pretty sure it's stated that Notes doesn't derive from Tsukihime events. That said, since CMB is involved in both, it's probably not entirely unrelated.
Sounds like the Ayelsbury Ritual to me, especially given that it fucked the planet hard in Extra.
I was enjoying this until pic related. Fuck yuri.
If it were just a ritual, then it could be averted. Also, the reason the world was reduced to the state it was in in EXTRA was because the ritual was performed too early. That implies that a successful ritual wouldn't fuck up the planet, maybe.
All evidence points to the Sixth being an inevitability.
>i've read the original VN
You have a better understanding of fate than 95% of the people watching or involved in fate discussion.
Is that why Ernest didn't intend to pass the torch and went for the immortality route?
> That implies that a successful ritual wouldn't fuck up the planet, maybe.
I mean the successful ritual will revive The Dark Six and maybe even CMB to cap it off, that doesn't sound like a good thing for Humanity no matter how you slice it.
And it being averted maybe be a theoretical possibility, but when you've got most of the DAA trying to pull it off, it's going to take a lot to try and stop it.
>especially given that it fucked the planet hard in Extra.
Is it really Ayelsbury Ritual considering Twice accused magi as the cause for the mana depletion on Earth in Last Encore and we already know the Twenty-seven DAAs aren't a thing in Fate worldline ? According to JP fans's speculation, that was probably a ritual to bring back the Ages of Gods/relevant to AoG. I also heard that in LE script book, Nasu mentioned that a western rich magus did the ritual which damaged Earth core, the name was redacted but it somehow matches with Marisbilly's name in Japanese. But since i haven't seen any photo of that part, just take it with a grain of salt.
Maybe not, but it doesn't change the fact that the Ritual is planned in Tsukihime and is a pretty dire scenario regardless. We don't really know what will happen if the Dark Six revives, but it probably wouldn't be good.
Allegedly, Shiki actually stops that ritual after the Arcueid arc. Maybe. We know that the Eclipse epilogue occurs after Shiki gets involved in a major conflict.
didnt the DAAs try to summon the dark six because they thought it would resurrect the crimson moon or something, except that it fucked over the planet instead? And the six sisters in angel notes are implied to be the dark six?
Dont worry. Just let her wear a bag
I never got the impression that Eclipse was supposed to occur that far past the events of the original VN. There isn't much indication in his charactersation that reflects what we know about him as Satsujinki so I doubt that was what was intended.
Given that Tsukihime 2 presumably would've had a Good End where they win and stop the ritual that's probably a possibility, but as with all things the True Ending probably wouldn't be that clear cut. Really, there isn't enough information to go on and Nasu reworks his original plans so often that banking on anything is probably a fool's errand.
i wanted to see the two of them have taboo, lust filled sex.
>ojou-sama, we shouldn't do this...
>but you are already so wet...see?
>And the six sisters in angel notes are implied to be the dark six?
I've literally never heard of that theory before. Considering the Six Sisters are the pinnacle of the A-Rays and that the A-Rays didn't exist in the modern era, it's one hell of a stretch at that.
The alleged Tsukihime 2 (which, admittedly, was constantly referred to as "nonsense" by Nasu and Takeuchi) took place a year after Tsukihime and centered around the Aylesbury Ritual.
It bothers me how the Ranking system of the Magus Association was fleshed out, but the Color system hasn't been fleshed out at all. We only have Blue and Red even now.
I actually like this plot twist. Make the old man look less stupid. His daughter will end his blood line. He has a legit reason to go full " fine, I will do it myself"
But but... I want a degenerate teacher-student love story
What a fucking faggot.
If Waver was going to fall to that kind of degeneracy, he would have done it a long time ago. Even now, he clearly has no interest in any of the women around him. Doesn't that imply that, at the very least, younger women have no effect on him?
Do people already forget that Taiga, Waver and Iskandar Drama CD ?
I think its not because he isnt attracted. Its because he has no fuck to care. Dude is super austitic. Only game and Iskandar can make him feel somewhat excited. And no, I dont think he's a faggot. He just doesnt care
This is Saber from Carnival Phantasm
Fate is pure chuunishit as is though.
Because common sense is anathema to being a wizard.
I gave up hope on the Tsukihime remake a long time ago, but now I kinda wish it would happen again. Desiring something that will never happen is a sad thing.
So does she still inherit her dad's magic crest even if he didn't formally transfer it to her. I have to admit I'm ignorant about how mages pass down their magic crests to their heirs.
Seeing as how the Ryougis' Mystic Eyes of Death Perception have names derived from Buddhism, what would Tohno Shikis' Mystic Eyes' alternative Buddhism name be?
Transplantation is usually complete before puberty iirc.
She has the body so the transfer can happen, and at her age she should have part of the magic crest already though
Hopefully none. Fuck FGO.
Not finishing HF is like not finising the VN, because the actual climax of FSN and the answers to the whole plot are there in that specific route like it or not.
Without that the story is kind of without one leg.
In Mahoyo, Rail Zeppelin was mentioned when they were talking about Touko's exploits.
There is also the thing alluded here about Rita Rozay-en being the master of the train and the organizer for the Mystic Eyes auction.
>Im the bone of my sword is cool.
No it isn't. It's fucking ridiculous. It's just been memed so much that people don't have a problem with it except Ian Mckellen
Yuri is disgusting shit. Like yaoi.
How gay do you have to be to think this? Holy fucc lmao
It's perfect here because it adds two new whole layers to the why of Mary and Ernest.
It kinda works. But if it makes you feel any better, just use the Japanese chant instead.
The body is composed of swords
The blood is of iron, the heart of glass
Having overcome countless battlefields
Never once retreating,
Never once understood
He always stood alone, intoxicated with victory on a hill of swords
Thus, his life has no meaning
That body was truly comprised of swords
Now that's a properly chuuni chant.
All spell incantations are chuuni. Even short ones.
>nips think Mary is Ophelia's mom
I mean, what the fuck
>people don't think ubw is chuuni nonsense
youtu.be
Please stop bringing that up. I really want to forget this ever happened.
>be ernest fargo, astromancer extraordinaire
>want nothing more than to do your best to pursue the root and leave a legacy worthy of your descendants
>happily send your heir off to the clocktower to advance her studies
>she comes back with hippy ideas from this third rate lord of modern magecraft
>decide to ground her in the family manor until she stops spouting nonsense about overturning the family magus tradition
>walk in on your only daughter and maid scissoring on grandpa's favourite desk
>anger turns to violence
>realize your carpet munching daughter isn't going to be much use in continuing the family legacy
>realize you need to do it all yourself and you're running out of time
>remember your buddy li has some interesting ideas about combining astromancy and necromancy
>what could go wrong?
ernest had a hard life
I was rereading Tsukihime recently, and I keep forgetting how bullshit the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception are. In Tsukihime, you kinda become numb to it after a while due to how often they're used, and Nasu often downplays Ryougi's possession of them, always going "it's just one of the abilities she possesses", so you get used to them and start to think they're not really a big deal.
But couldn't either Shiki completely defeat most of the bullshit magi we've seen across the series so far? No matter what kind of high thaumaturgy they use, or create a bizarre alien space that seems to be cut off from reality, Shiki could just kill it and it's all gone. The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception are even classified as Rainbow, the same class as the Crimson Moon's Mystic Eyes, and a tier higher than Medusa's Mystic Eyes of Petrification. Ryougi is one thing since she's a monster with or without the eyes, but even Tohno has one foot in the realm of the gods.
>暗くて (Gray), 浮かれて (Rave), 望んで (Crave), 堕落させて (Deprave).
>刻んで(Grave...), 私に(Me...)
>墓を掘ろう(Grave...), あなたに (For you...)
>Darkness, floats, wishes, corrupt.
>Engrave them, to me.
>Let's dig a grave, to you
In japanese sound more poetic. It's still chuuni but at least it has some sense. It's just that converting it into english made it sound more silly.
I was gonna reply but jesus its 2019 theres almost 20 years of powerlevel discussion for you to google about this exact subject
by your admission every fan, regardless of what of, is a chunni as their chants all work a similar way to a magic incantation.
Tohno seems to have more problem than Ryougi to kill mystic stuff. Only after being synchronized or powered by Arc he was able to do it consistently. He seems better fit to kill physical stuff though.
>readers of the vn are now secondaries
what a time to be alive
Is she inmune to bullets, explosions and/or protected by plot armor?, reading that I assume nobody can't put a cap on her ass or just planting some good old explosives.
Even Toma has to be careful with random fodder with guns.
What are you talking about? He's able to easily cut through Reality Marbles in Melty Blood. Killing Roa's essence was a different thing entirely, since he had to try and kill something that was spiritually bonded with himself.
The whole point of the MEoDP in Tsukihime is the tradeoff between how powerful they are versus the horrific effects of having them are, and even then it takes tremendous strain and self-understanding to be able to fully grasp them, Shiki himself couldn't even fully control them until near enough the end of the Near Side routes and didn't really master them in the Far Side.
Also, you're actually underestimating Tohno's other abilities, the Nanaya by all rights are just as crazy as the Ryougi in terms of physical combat ability if not greater. Don't forgot that Kiri fought off servant-tier Kouma with nothing but a stick for the longest time.
All of Nasu's protagonists have spider sense.
There is an entire Kara no Kyoukai chapter about a guy with explosives and future sight failing to kill her.
With self-suggestion she could outspeed Araya who was stated to be able to dodge bullets after they were fired, so kind of.
She also gained some kind of precognition that allowed her to target where Araya would be and hit him in the instant he warped there.
Because they're all autistic.
She always had that precognition.
Having a sixth sense for danger is the trademark of any Nasu protagonist! The world of TYPE-MOON is a nasty, cutthroat one where you might get stabbed in the back before you even realize it, so everyone was bitten by radioactive spiders!
When is it demonstrated before Mujun Rasen?
Literally every other lesbian noble in history just got her cunt filled until she produced a heir or two and went back to mashing clams with whoever their lesbian lover was.
Bombing incidents. She always managed to get away without a scratch.
Man the same could be said about niggers
None of those happened before Mujun Rasen, though.
There was also all those times she managed to evade Fujino's power. Plus she has a sixth sense that tells her how dangerous someone is. Doesn't work on someone as empty as Sacchin, though.
Don't remind me what they did to Kurogiri in movie 6.
It’s not quite Kerry tier suffering but I believe it.
Evading Fujino's power is as simple as moving in such a way that her eyes can't follow fast enough and she couldn't do it reliably enough to close the distance and attack Fujino without sacrificing her arm in the process. The Araya thing is straight up infeasible without her somehow knowing exactly where he'd move to in that one instant, since she threw herself out the window before he even started to warp.
It can't be that special. Tohno didn't train for ten years but he can do similar things. Takes him a while to get into the groove, though.
When does he do anything like that?
They even downplayed the whole taboo angle by removing the revelation that "probably" Kurogiri and Misaya were siblings.
You can't add the whole "Kurogiri is like a dark Mikiya" to then never actually close that plot point. What the fuck Miura.
Whenever he manages to avoid an attack that he shouldn't be able to see. Ciel even comments on it, that his sixth sense borders on precognition. Sneaking up on him is impossible. Ciel says that it'd be easier to attack him from the front than to use an attack he can't see. His body reacts faster than his eyes. He was also able to immediately react to Akiha's attack, even though he couldn't see it at the time.
Basically, even if he can't see something coming, he'll sense his impending death and immediately move to avoid it. He'll move so fast that his thoughts can't keep up. There are times when his body will move and he doesn't understand why.
This parenthesis shit is the worst. And even worse when you see it in kanji.
That's just Nanaya instincts, it's tied to the same thing that let him slice Arc to bits in an instant, it overrides his physical limitations. That's just being able to react to an impending attack before it happens on instinct, the Araya thing would somehow require knowing information beyond the scope of the immediate situation because Ryougi took action based on Araya's future movement before he'd even thought about his next move. It's weird because its never really extrapolated upon either.
It's just furigana. The parenthesis it's used when the code doesn't support it.
mary's not only a biological dead end, she's also bought into waver's modern magic and cannot be trusted to continue advancing the family crest
seeing as how his nephew's also a complete waste of air its not hard to see why ernest decided to take things into his own hands and go down the zouken route
It's the same basic principle. Servants have skills that do the same thing, such as Instinct, Eye of the Mind (True) and Eye of the Mind (False). If you're skilled enough, you can predict the enemy's next move. Being able to predict how someone's gonna act is pretty basic as far as chuuni stuff's concerned.
In theory, if you've got a good beat on an enemy's personality, fighting style and experience, I guess you'd be able to predict what he'll do. The concept comes up in Melty Blood, where Sion has completely analyzed Shiki's personality, style and attack patterns in order to predict all his moves. Though she's only able to bring her chances of winning up to 50%. Again, standard chuuni stuff.
You can probably pass it off as that whole "nothingness" spiel that Kojiro and Musashi have. Blah blah "be one with the blade" blah blah, whatever.
Has it really never dawned on these wise, established magi that prolonging the natural lifespan never fucking works, despite literal centuries of evidence? Zouken is a shadow of his former self after a few hundred years, Araya had lost his humanity after a similar timeframe, and pushing any further beyond that invariably results in failure or going full DA, and even that has very poor overall results. Just look at Roa, the guy had functionally completely lost his sense of self or why he'd even persisted in what he set out to do in the first place.
The prediction of those abilities is founded on combat experience/innate ability in reading the opponent and determining what THEY plan to do as their next course of action. Emphasis on the opponent knowing what they'll do. The Araya thing subverts that because Shiki knew what Araya would do BEFORE he did. It's probably tied into the third personality thing and therefore having awareness of what has been and will be, but again it's never made perfectly clear.
Magi are also arrogant shits. They see one mage fuck up and their instinct isn't oh I shouldn't do that, it's oh I totally wouldn't fuck up like that loser.
Really? In theory, there are only a limited number of actions someone could take, especially in a fight. In anime land, you can go "he'll probably think of doing this next". There's not that much difference between being able to tell what someone's thinking and being able to predict what they're gonna think in the future. If you can perfectly read a person inside and out, being able to predict what they're gonna think ten seconds from now isn't necessarily impossible.
Considering the fact that the Ogawa Complex was completely under Araya's control, there were a lot of choices he could've made, so not really. More than anything else, the fact that Shiki would have to know that Araya's actions would not change based on hers kind of clinches it, since she acted first.
If she really could see the future, she wouldn't lose to Servants.
See Sion vs Arc for that specific issue. It doesn't matter if you can see the future if you're physically incapable of preventing it.
She has the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. She can cut anything, including Servants. Sion has nothing she can use to beat Arcueid. The Barrel Replica won't beat her. But Shiki has the ability to kill anything that has shape.
Most mages also fail at being what an ideal mage should be. A perfect mage is like Rin said, it shouldn't even have any pride about himself because at the long run he is just another link in a chain. He is not important, the ones after him are.
There is a scene where Rin tells Shinji he would be able to be a mage because he prides himself too much.
She could just about keep pace with Araya who isn't that fast in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter if she can kill with one hit if she can't move fast enough to hit them in time.
>would be able
wouldn't
Who needs mystic eyes of death perception when you're strong enough to beat Arcuied AND servants.
If she can predict the future, she can simply position her sword and aim where the Servant will move. Nasu said that Void can fight defensively against Servants, so if she can see the future, she should be able to manage that.
why is there another saber in this
Because the Once and Future King whole prophecy took to long and some people decides to make it quicker.
Gray is not Saber, she just has Saberface which is not even her original face.
Nasu was a doomed back then, the planet died in the 90s supposedly.
What? No, the planet's still alive, what are you talking about? If the planet's dead, Arcueid would be dead too.
Because cultists decided they wanted Arthur to come back quicker so they warped a poor girl into looking like Seiba as part of the "Let's Bring Arthur Back" project.
Being able to predict the future is probably the reason she can fight defensively, she can keep herself alive but she'll never land a hit because unless you can actually see the lines of death to cut them it doesn't actually work.
She can see the lines of death on them. Nasu confirmed this.
this sounds a lot like some roundabout excuse to give takeuchi the opportunity to jack off into his own mouth again
No, as in if her sight can't keep with the servant's movements it won't work. You can't stick your arm out and just conveniently have the enemy conveniently stab themselves on their line/point, it's an active action on the part of the user.
You can see it as a jab at Saberfaces. It's kind of played as a tragedy and the loss of identity of a girl who wanted nothing with it.
Gray was so distorted by the whole thing that her first real "friend" was a cube that badmouthed her (unlike everyone else in her village who praised her because of her face).
Takeuchi didn't design Gray.
Also don't forgot Gray had to live alone in that graveyard due to her Saberface too. This is also the reason why she's really really scared of the undead/spirit stuff and has a strong connection with the death.
A question--isn't Ryougi's Mystic Eyes of Death Perception really just a product of her being the Root as expressed through the lens of Ryougi Shiki's personality? My understanding of it from KnK was this: Ryougi has the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which is a totally broken ability, but that's just a tiny sliver of what she is actually capable of doing because she has an origin of Nothingness and is therefore the Root. While she ostensibly could do anything that the Root could, which Void boasts about, Ryougi's omnipotence is limited in practice by her being the human Ryougi Shiki. Ryougi can't remake the solar system because that isn't something the human Ryougi Shiki cares about or would try to do, but she can kill anything because the human Ryougi Shiki has the personality of an edgy school shooter (just female) and has a weird but understandable fascination with killing things due to her lineage and personal constitution. Is this correct?
I was going by the Overcount 1999 thing
She's basically Saber though. She has Rhongomyniad and even has a dragon reactor now. Wow, amazing. She could kill Heracles in one hit, isn't that awesome?
Gray's friendship with Add is cute. They have a very wholesome scene in the last volume. Waver and Add are probably the most important people for her.
huh, consider my expectations subverted then. glad it isn't going down the usual route for once.
Agree. I love this illustration so so much.
SHIKI was the edgy school shooter because he was supposed to contain the killing potential the Ryougi clan needed for compulsion to kill the kishu, not unlike the Nanaya's innate impulsive instinct to murder non-humans. Shiki channeled SHIKI's obsession because he couldn't fulfill it without ruining her life.
Whilst on one point you're kind of correct in that her origin of Nothingness and having her body's personality remain self-aware and therefore connected to the Root enabled the MEoDP to become possible for her, she still wouldn't have gotten them if it weren't for her encounter with death that killed SHIKI. The MEoDP and her Root influence are connected one is not derived from the other. And it's less that Ryougi Shiki (mind) has no interest in doing those things, so much as Ryougi Shiki (body) has no interest in anything whatsoever save for the compulsion to destroy that is inlaid in the Ryougi clan, but she still doesn't act because giving her (mind) free roam and peace is more important to her.
Does that mean we are dissing Gray when we call her cute?
>Has it really never dawned on these wise, established magi that prolonging the natural lifespan never fucking works
Prolonging one's life past its natural limits doesn't work in the real world either, but that doesn't stop people from trying. Everyone knows that most attempts to cure terminal conditions like cancer are frequently very painful, always expensive, and almost always fail. This does not deter people from spending their last months/weeks in perpetual physical agony and wasting an ocean of money only to die miserably in the end anyway, because they're betting on a miracle. It's the same deal with all of the magi you mentioned. They would give up everything and endure anything if it meant they could live even a single day longer. Yes, it's stupid, but it's undoubtedly human to do so.
You're calling Gray cute, not her saberface. Reminder that even as messed up as Gray is she's still less autistic than Arthuria.
She is unable to get that Svin likes her, that should say everything.
That's less to do with prolonging yourself past natural limitations and more to do with giving yourself a chance at reaching your natural limitations (were it not for the fact that you contracted something terminal, that is). Magi aren't curing themselves of anything, if anything they're actually doing incredible damage to themselves beyond their current life because doing that shit erodes the soul.
I swear Touko is one of the few people who went through all this and actually reached the sensible conclusion, it really should be common sense.
...What a basketcase. It's amazing to think that she's able to deal with all of this simply because Mikiya gives her the dick. Also,
>SHIKI was the edgy school shooter because he was supposed to contain the killing potential the Ryougi clan needed for compulsion to kill the kishu, not unlike the Nanaya's innate impulsive instinct to murder non-humans. Shiki channeled SHIKI's obsession because he couldn't fulfill it without ruining her life.
So if their family's special trait (the two personalities in one body demarcated according to Yin and Yang thing) causes severe mental instability as one would expect, why do the Ryougis still place such importance on it that it's a seemingly required qualification to be the family heir? They live in an era where mystery is thin, non-human monsters that surpass humanity have ceased to be a real threat, and where their occupation has changed from being demon hunters to yakuza. For that matter, does Ryougi's dad have this trait as well? I know it's mentioned that her brother did not, and that's why he was passed over.
Is it really that she doesn't understand that Svin likes her or that she's turned off by Svin's seemingly inexplicable adulation of her?
She outright doesn't understand how someone can like her so she thinks he hates her and that's why he acts in that silly manner.
So waver Is bi?.
She's worse than Shiki.
I always assumed that the Demon Slayer Clans functioned on a not-dissimilar premise as magi, they know their history and function and the rest of society isn't their concern. And you can kind of see their point - mystery may be wearing thin, but when even half-breed oni can still inflict incredible devastation, then really producing a few psychos who might attack humans is kind of minor compared to being functionally the only human force that can stand up to the kishu threat. Without them there's no one, the Association don't give two shits about what kishu do and neither do the Church so long as they don't turn into DA like Tohno SHIKI did. Also, since the whole thing is functionally genetic (supernaturally genetic, but genetic nonetheless) there's not much they can do to prevent it at this stage. And when they do, you end up with extreme measures like what the Asagami clan did to Fujino and we all know how that worked out.
Also, I'd suspect that it's something that one masters and controls with time and experience, which is why Kiri and Ryougi's dad didn't go on regular slasher sprees.
If Taiga's his type, it's no wonder he's not attracted to anyone around him.
To be honest I never understood how magus society stayed the way it was. What stops any given magus from fucking around long as he doesn't piss anyone significant off? This 'root at all cost' thing doesn't make for realistic motivation.
You wouldn't be a magus if you didn't have some extreme goal.
>lesbian sex with the maid
HOT
I mean, some magi with no history probably do goof off and do whatever they want, like what the serial killer in Zero would've done if he'd actually had functioning circuits. But obviously if they do anything that risks the exposure of magecraft, then obviously they'll have an Enforcer on their ass before they know what hit them.
>Clock Tower (except the Faculty of Law): reaching the Root
>Atlas: saving humanity
>Wandering Sea: Age of Gods
I mean, even if you're part of the association, why would someone like Waver pursue the root and not just, say, fuck all his students and smoke weed/play vidya in his apartment all the time? Sounds way more enticing than pursuing something that nobody knows what the fuck it even is.
Because he has passion for thaumaturgy.
>What stops any given magus from fucking around long as he doesn't piss anyone significant off?
Nothing, and that's why plenty of those kinds of people exist. They're not Magi but Spell-Users. Kiritsugu is an example of such a person. You are a magus not because you can use magecraft but because you can use magecraft and adhere to the responsibilities and social expectations of being a magus. Think of it as being not dissimilar to the distinction between being an aristocrat and being just a wealthy landowner in a premodern society.
Well, who knows. If he hadn't been compelled by Keyneth's lectures (apparently?), been inspired by Iskander and then burdened with the title of El Melloi and an absolutely massive debt, maybe he wouldn't turned out that way? I dunno, maybe doing magecraft is just kind of fucking awesome and wanting to improve yourself in it is a really strong compulsion.
>why would someone like Waver pursue the root and not just, say, fuck all his students and smoke weed/play vidya in his apartment all the time?
He takes being Iskandar's follower seriously, and working to be worthy of that honor is one of the principle motivations for everything he does. Being a deadbeat NEET scumbag is the exact opposite of that.
I mean, right in the Clock Tower there's a faculty that doesn't give a fuck about the Root. But they only use magecraft to manage and develop the Clock Tower.
What the fuck is this? Is this from a TYPEMOON info book or something?
Also, he prefers jovial, honest, energetic onee-san types.
Also, most mages are not ideal mages. There is a reason why there are petty squabbles and cutthroat politics in the Clock Tower. If every mage was a perfect ideal mages, they would be forgoing all of that and only concentrating on their research and leaving an easier task for the descendants. All of them would be members of the Neutral Faction.
Hilariously, Rin states that Shirou of all people has the ideal mentality for a magus.
What if the one beating the maid was the lesbian student?
It was made with everything we have known so far from Extella and FGO.
>waver thinks its domestic abuse
>the maid's just walking around with a vibrator up her snatch, courtesy of mary
>Extella and FGO
Why hasn't Gray been slapped with a sealing designation yet?
She even tells Shinji he is the complete opposite to what a magus should be because a mage would deminish himself and eliminate his own emotions (even pride).
And Shinji in a classic Shinji manner takes that as "so I have to kill Shirou then".
Guess it really is like Aria and Sayaka from SYD.
Because Sealing Designations are only done with stuff the Clock Tower thinks it can be replicated with magecraft.
Who'd be able to beat her? That lance of hers can raze entire villages. With her prana capacity, she could even kill Heracles.
Bazett's in a coma.
What has she done that warrants one, exactly? She doesn't use forbidden magecraft, hasn't developed any that warrants investigation and she hasn't exposed magecraft.
>Bazett's in a coma.
At this point in the series she's not, also didn't she die? I haven't read HA.
You ever been part of academics? Lots of academics go into it thinking they're going to be pursuing some major research breakthroughs, then realize most of their life will be on shit like trying to get grants or office politics etc. It's kinda the same deal.
In all seriousness, probably Lorelei (assuming she's still DAA tier in the Fate worldline) and all else failing Zelretch might be able to be asked as a favour and to actually act in his capacity as Wizard Marshal. There's probably a few others, Aoko might be viable if she's available too.
Though again, it really doesn't matter because she doesn't need one.
>Neutral Faction
To be fair Case Files vol 2 mentions that eventhough they don't care about the political power struggle in the Clock Tower, there are many internal conflicts within this faction.
Also Lev Uvall (one of Lev's three different personas) doesn't care about the future nor his descendants. He only focuses on the past.
I mean, Extella introduced the Quantum Time-Lock which is the same as Human Order Foundation in FGO. This subject is going to be brought up again in Rail Zeppelin.
Do you really think Lorelei can withstand a holy-class A++ Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm? At full power, it can't even be measured, with a rank of EX.
>『The Lance that Shines to the Ends of the World』
>Rank: A+ (A++ originally, but since Gray can not handle it properly the rank decreases)
>Classification: Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm
>Range: 1~99
>Maximum number of targets: 100
>Rhongomyniad.
>Its true form is an anchor that fastens the two sides of the World together; the lance that she uses is but a shadow of this anchor.
>However, even as a shadow, for it to remain in the possession of Gray, who is originally a human being, it is usually sealed inside the Sealing Mystic Code, Add and released as necessary. Add's function to change into various weapons is also from utilizing the power overflowing from this Holy Lance.
>Even though its power is being restricted by both the Thirteen Restraints placed on it and the Sealing Mystic Code, the Holy Lance's radiance does not wane.
Listen buddy, you can hate on those two all you like, doesn't change the fact that it's where a significant source of lore is from now.
What makes us go again to what is evident. Being a ideal mage is hard and hardly any magi we have seen fit in that role, they fail in one way or another because ultimately they are human.
Well, it's still an A+ holy-class Anti-Fortress NP. The difference between Anity-Fortress and Anti-Army lies in sheer firepower. I doubt there's any modern magus who can defend against it. It's a divine mystery that transcends any thaumaturgy that exists in the current times. Even an AoG magus like Medea would want to avoid it.
She probably doesn't have to, she's so tough that she can solo DAA and deliberately waits for them to be at full power before doing so and supposedly her abilities border on Magic. Gray still has to release Rhom and Lorelei is probably smart enough to let her do that, and without it I doubt Gray can stand up to her, unless she also has Artoria's A Rank MR.
Wasn't the Almighty magic trait the Barthomeloi have means that every spell they do is basically EX rank?
There shouldn't be any DAA.
*to not let her do that, even.
We don't know about her prowess in the Fate worldlines, but unless there's reason for it I doubt she'd be all that much different.
Magic Resistance C. Cancels spells that are under two verses. So at the very least, she negates shit like gandr.
Isn't Gray unable to use Rhongo for too long/for many times ? Vol 10 mentions the Heroic Spirit turning into Divine Spirit thing again and just like how Artoria will become Lion King if she keeps holding Rhongo, the same fate will happen to Gray if Add doesn't seal her Rhongo. That's why Gray only releases its true form in some emergency situations, usually she just uses it as a Scythe in battle.
From description alone, Lorelei's standard spells sound about as powerful as Rin's jewels, so I doubt that'd cut it.
It took Saber many, many years of wandering with an unsealed Rhongomyniad before she became Goddess Rhongomyniad herself.
You do know Rin's jewels took one of Berserker's lives, right?
They're A Rank spells, so yeah. Again, Lorelei can kill full-strength DAA on her own and is considered one of, if not the most, powerful modern magi, presumably above Touko in her prime, Alice and maybe Ciel, and probably on par with Aoko given that they're both approximately servant tier. It's not that surprising.
You're implying that any of them can beat Heracles.
Aoko is confirmed servant tier and Lorelei by extension of being equal to DAA would be too.
That aside, being able to take one of Herc's lives does not equal being able to beat him, as Rin found to her disadvantage.
Does Gray share any memories with original Saber? Will Shirou get to meet Gray?
And yeah, Ciel going all out with Roa's spells and Seven can potentially beat 30% Arc, so she probably has a good shot at Herc.
No because she is Artoria's body, not her mind or her soul.
>Does Gray share any memories with original Saber?
As far as i know, Gray doesn't and she definitely doesn't want to have Saber's memories.
>Will Shirou get to meet Gray?
Shirou goes to the Clock Tower with Rin in UBW True End (and in Fate route too IIRC) so yes he should get to meet her.
Rin can't use her jewels in succession. And Heracles should be far stronger than 30% Arcueid if she doesn't have her backup.
According to Nasu, Shirou and Waver have no business ever running into each other. The anime was just fanservice by the animators.
Actually Arc's Berserker stats are only slightly below Herc's despite her not having her backup and being nerfed to hell.
I know. But Shirou still goes to the Clock Tower and Rin also studies in the MMT department (but Mineralogy is still her main department) so there's a chance he will meet Gray.
Heracles is pure bullshit. Asterios has a hight Str stat on paper, but Heracles overwhelmed him. Heracles' high Divinity should make it impossible for him to break the Chain of Heaven, but he did just that. His recorded stats never seem to match up with his feats. He always defies expectations at every turn.
Shirou and Rin don't take the same classes.
Yeah, but what's your point, exactly? Arc defies all reason as well, she's recovered from more devastating attacks than Herc's ever received and doesn't have a cap on lives.
I'm really not seeing what this has to do with Lorelei's spells relative to Rin's, they're only A Rank spells. Even fucking Alba can cast an A Rank spell without the need of extra preparation like jewels.
If she's stck at 30% with no backup (which shouldn't even be a thing normally), then she can't really pull anything out of her ass. As a Berserker, she still ended up losing to Nero, Tamamo or Emiya. Though she technically wasn't canon.
Dark and gray, raving away
That which you craved has left you depraved
Engraved in me is a grave for you
That's Kingu vs Gilgamesh.
Just take regular Saber images and recolor them.
> As a Berserker, she still ended up losing to Nero
Because she was nerfed to hell. And they couldn't even kill her, she just peaced out on her own. And without her backup kicking in, she still has her mystic eyes and assuming she still has her connection to Gaia, she can use Marble Phantasm.
Also, you didn't answer my question.
Faker.
You say you've read FSN and UBW. That means you're a secondary thinking that Fate & UBW are separate novels and not just routes within a single VN. If you go through the first two, you'd have gone through HF as well. It's a filthy fucking secondary pretending to be an oldfag.
Berserker Arc can't go beyond her stat page. Heracles can. He's so absurd that even though Medea should be able to beat him on paper, she's too scared to risk it. As a magus, Medea is leagues beyond any modern magus, but she would still never fight Heracles without a trump card. That's why she wanted Saber.
Basically, if Medea can't do something, no modern magus can.
>Gods (Shape of Gods)
Kek
It's true lmao. I didn't even notice. They're getting crafty
what
>Olga will never appear again
Why even live??
Well, the reason she's there in the first place is that Waver wanted to use her as his personal Kiritsugu in the next Fuyuki Grail War.
That still doesn't have anything to do with the subject. Why is Herc being stronger than a massively nerfed Arc important? Why is beating Herc a prerequisite to beating Gray? Herc would swat her like a fly. The fact that four A Rank spells bunched together can take one of Herc's lives and the fact that the strongest modern magus can almost certainly use A Rank spells casually and overwhelm C Rank MR have nothing contradicting each either. Again, she can kill fucking DAA. DAA are casually servant tier and some of them could probably beat Herc. ORT, PM and CMB for sure.
ORT barely qualifies as a DAA. He is in the list just because, it would stomp most servants and Gaia natives.
You are going to see her again on Case Files anime.
Also the Priestess aka U-chan is probably Olga/relevant to Olga at least
That's besides the point and you know it.
You're making big leaps there. There are huge power differences between DAA. Being able to beat one doesn't mean you can beat them all. Discrepancies in power between DAA are so huge that being able to beat one doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's impossible to tell how strong Lorelei is based on that. It's way too broad a spectrum.
I mean, being able to beat Angra Mainyu in a fight doesn't necessarily say much about how strong you are. You can beat a Servant, but does that mean anything? Also, Aoko can only beat average Servants with an "average NP", whatever that means.
>>Wandering Sea: Age of Gods
Do they actually want to bring the gods back, just saturate the planet with similar levels of mana, or something else?
We have no idea. They simply don't give a fuck about anything that happen in AD era and only focus on their AoG researches in their own private workshops.
Best guess for average Servants would probably be ones like d'Eon, Saber Gilles, Jing Ke and Bloodaxe.
If they really want to bring back the gods, fuck them, hope they get culled
If it's the mana they want it's understandable but futile
Otherwise, no idea
The majority of the DAA can take on any given servant with an average NP. Why Gray would invariably beat Lorelei just because she might be able to pull off Rhong against a far more experienced opponent is beyond me, especially when Gray only has C Rank MR.
It's a giant beam. How many Servants have you seen dodge Excalibur? It's weaker by a +, but it's still a giant beam.
>Waver and Add are probably the most important people for her.
So basically like Kay is to Artoria?
Kay ditched her.
She has to actually release it and Lorelei isn't stupid or seemingly particularly merciful.
Also, her C Rank MR is from her FGO servant skills. So I don't think she even has that ordinarily.
>hope they get culled
The Wandering Sea is located in a Texture of the world between the World of Man and the Reverse Side of the World, which is the reason why they weren't affected by the invasion, no ?
It's an innate part of her dragon reactor. Dragons have natural resistance to thaumaturgy. Assassins don't have Magic Resistance by default, so if she has it, it's her own ability.
Grave4u.
>However instead of choosing to stay and join the battle, Kay thought about leaving Camelot, taking all of his fortune and setting off for another land, despite feeling conflicted. Even so, he is mentioned as the reason why Artoria was able to disembark in Britain during the rebellion, so it's not clear if he actually abandoned the battle.
Plus, if that logic worked, no one would get a chance to use their NP. The only one to ever stop Saber from firing off Excalibur was Lancelot, who was highly familiar with it.
Gray doesn't have it deployed by default, it's not just an instant switch thing.
Also, I'd like to point out that's literally what Shirou did to Gil with Ea.
Saber has to unleash Invisible Air which always takes time. Still killed Medusa who was zipping around in the sky on her supersonic horse.
He was explicitly watching for it, since Gil showed it off earlier.
Medusa wasn't trying to interrupt her, Lorelei has no reason not to blast Gray while she's fiddling with Add.
Yes, why would the Vice-Director of the Clock Tower not know about Gray having one of the most important NPs still available to modern man? Even if she doesn't, why would she let her do anything when she's trying to bring her in?
What if he read Fate and UBW with MM's partial patch back in 2008 or 2009, then never played the HF patch because he hates wormslut?
Likewise, if she knows she's being targetted, why would Gray not prepare beforehand?
Gray
Rave
Crave
Dilate
She can't keep Rong deployed indefinitely, we've been over this already.
Add is Kay, sort of.
I think that's the point he was making
So where was Rong featured first, Case Files or Camelot?
As in more literal than they seem similar.
He's on the list because he killed the precious fifth DAA and had some vampire-like characteristics. Shit you might as well complain that Primate Murder is on the list.
There's a lot of variables to consider. Considering that Lorelei has her own private battalion of combat magi, there's no reason to not just ambush her with them while she's asleep. It's a sealing designation after all, not a private duel.
He would be a retard, because there is literally nothing to hate about Sakura in the first two routes. Then again, hating HF or Sakura in the first place is a surefire sign of retardation.
I need doujins, goddamn.
This is the moment she realized she will groom Waver into perfect husband for her.
More like her personal fucktoy.
What's the difference?
Case Files.
He doesn't get to say "not tonight, love". Other than that, I'm not sure.
It's mentioned in Case Files he actually never abandoned the battle, he just went tsun and basically was unable to get in time to the hill to save his sister.
Cringe
Ones doesn't get the magic crest.
This is not the face of a 10 year old.
It's the face of one who needs an heir. It'd be unfortunate if Waver was impotent or shooting blanks.
Is she still not 18?
damn those thighs are FAT
Rady
Did Case Files actually show Rhon?
having kdis with waver would be a bad idea as he has bad circuits.
>waver goes to Fuyuki early with gray and summons iskander, fuck the latter half of case files
>shinji gets true assasin
How does the 5th war play out?
The El-Melloi is on hard times, unless there are any virile bachelor magi with good circuits available, there may not be many options.
Unless she could use the magi sperm bank. I'm pretty sure that's real, Rin mentions something like it in Fate.
It would be child's play to look for a mage with good circuits who wanted the prestigious El-Melloi name and position.
Rhon is mentioned and used in the first volume. That was back in 2014.
She doesn't seem against the idea and says that probably some weird but interesting branch family will spawn out of that.
But was it shown though? I believe Rhon's design debuted in FGO.
Storm King version was shown during London, and the Lion King version shown in Camelot.
The light pillar and everything is shown in volume 1 yeah. Gray basically uses the activated version to destroy the Beast of the Ashbourne.
>mfw I'll never have perfect gf like Gray
How hard would it be to rape Gray? Does she have Arthuria's physical strength?
All she has to do is change her hair cut.
Fatefags, man... Are they even remotely human.
>hating yuri
So it's possible she plotted to kill everyone just so she can slap some maid ass?
What if she can't ? It was mentioned again in Atlas's Contract case. Those people in her village literally also forced her to nonstop eat mashed potatoes, just like King Arthur did.
Probably, considering that Tohno wasn't actually normal to begin with either. The Nanaya blood gives him the physical strength and agility to take on magi with the MEoDP.
I recall from the novel that the reason he makes her wear a hood is because she reminds him of Saber, apparently she's a descendant of her.
>tfw I read Tsukihime, KT, went to the trouble of playing MB, learned english with FSN, Ataraxia, Zero, KnK and freaking Mahoyo and yet fgo still made me a secondary who can't fully comprehend modern Fate.
Smugcunts were right, they're the chads.
Fate should be entirely retconned and TM should build their work on top of Tsukihime instead.
All of that was never a comprehensive list even before f/go came out.
The name Animusphere is also retarded
Animesphere
there are more retarded magi's names. just see
>Oh no, he did not mentiion fragment and fsf!!!!
What's up with archeology and sociopaths ?
Are there some anons who want to sing the ending with me? youtube.com
I'll make a mail account if some of you are interested.
Nah, he can say that, she just won't listen.
DO YOU KNOW YOU CAN KILL?
Bitch, are you for real?
Just throw a shotgun like magic attack at her. Or hit her with lighting.
I really hope we get some Volumen action.
Archeology is just another name for grave robbing, so yeah.
>it's another saber face
This stopped being funny 10 years ago. This is just sad.
Are you?
Can UBW overwrite Iskandar's IH?
Gray thinks so too.
God, fuck off back to fgo.
>"we are totally self-aware guys, so it's okay!"
She was cursed into looking like a saber face, it's not her fault.
>Unless she could use the magi sperm bank. I'm pretty sure that's real, Rin mentions something like it in Fate.
Rin only mentioned that poorfags sell their sperm because it contains their magical energy, in that *context*.
The best translation itt.
So close
Should have just put a comma between "Grave" and "me".
Not really any indication of him being attracted to men, though. You have to stretch like hell to make his relationship with Rider sexual.
waver has to stretch like hell if he wants to fit iskandar inside
Is Gray's backstory in the arc that's being adapted?
If you aren't attracted to women then it means you are attracted to men.
Have you read Zero? Because Rider and Waver's relationship was a lot more intensive in the LN. The anime actually toned it down a lot. He also gets dickslapped by Rider in the manga.
What happened?
I read the LN, it was years ago so I don't remember much but I really didn't get that impression.
There's en.wikipedia.org
Bear in mind that Gen Urobuchi is a pretty gloomy guy and that's reflected in Waver.
>In fact, I wasn't like this before. I've often written pieces that didn't have a perfect ending, but by the last chapter the protagonist would still possess a belief that 'Although there will be many hardships to come, I still have to hold on'.
>But from I don't know when, I can no longer write works like this.
>I am full of hatred towards men's so-called happiness, and had to push the characters I poured my heart out to create into the abyss of tragedy.
>For all things in the world, if we just leave them alone and pay them no attention, they are bound to advance in a negative direction.
>Just like no matter what we do we can't stop the universe from getting colder. It is only a world that is created through a compilation of 'progresses of common sense'; it can never escape the bondage of its physical laws.
>Therefore, in order to write a perfect ending for a story you have to twist the laws of cause and effect, reverse black and white, and even possess a power to move in the opposite direction from the rule of the universe. Only a heavenly and chaste soul that can sing carols of praise towards humanity can save the story. To write a story with a perfect ending is a double challenge to the author's body and soul.
>...
>Right now, I've writing a piece that is saved and has a perfect ending. To be more accurate, writing a part of this piece.
>Yes. This marvelous piece called Fate - its perfect united ending surrounding the protagonist Emiya Shirō is a set fact. No matter how cruel the end of Zero turns out to be, it wouldn't affect the perfect finish of this entire work.
>Right now, I've finally got a chance to write a tragic ending according to my heart's desire. No matter how I display the darkness inside my heart, from an overall look I am nevertheless a partner of 'the warrior of love, Nasu Kinoko'.
No, that's the next one.
good, at least it's not one of the ones they skipped. so if we get a second season there's a chance.
And then die in a dwindling VN market?
The next two arcs would be mandatory, they are too important to be skipped. One is Gray's entire thing and the other the ending.
Fate as the plebs know it today, was built on top of a VN too.
Yeah but that was back in the golden age of VNs.
We gonna see tatari in this season?
No TATARI in F*te
No, that's the next arc. Also he is still Zepia and the director of Atlas in Fate.
It would help if she wasn't sporting the exact same hairstyle (ahoge included) what the fuck.
I think the novel implies that her hairstyle goes back to bun even if she tries to change it.
This is wonderful. First good T-M anime since KnK.
Whhat? TATARI is actually a thing in fate?
The girl is literally cursed into maintaining the same hairstyle as Seiba no matter what she does to her hair.
In Fate, Zepia never turned in TATARI. He is still Zepia Eltnam Atlasia and the director of Atlas in the present day.
>her hairstyle goes back to bun even if she tries to change it
Yeah, thought so.
Is Zepia younger or older than Zouken? How's his soul holding up?
He is a DA in Fate too. He just never turned into a phenomenon because the Sixth is apparently not a thing in Fate so he never went crazy.
Apparently Atlas doesn't have any problem about having a DA as your big honcho.
>Apparently Atlas doesn't have any problem about having a DA.
Like the clock towet with zelretch or the church with meruem solomon
Reminder that Atlas
>Has Zepia and Sion chilling as DAs
>Is funding some nutjob with a nopan fetish right now for currently probably finalizing the plans to make Rani VIII.
>Had its ruins be the key to digging out the truth of Solomon.
>Are the only people right now stopping lostbelts from overriding the human order.
Fuck Clocktower.
Yeah but the Clock Tower has the Barthomeloi hating DAs. Old man Zel is not the director there.
This OP is so fitting that I would not mind to have a "starting the case: Contract of Atlas" and a "starting the case: Grand Roll".
>fgo shit
yikes
Not like anyone can really order Zelretch around, or tell him to fuck off.
He also seems to be buds with the director.
why
because left was used to originally bait her having a colder demeanor than was actually there.
The right is more in line with her being a fucking gremlin.
This has to be shopped.
Merlin is OP but he is mostly Buster card inclined. If you are going for someone with an arts or quick NP you need Tamamo/Skadi with a nice Waver to help out.
>on right
Looking cute as button talking to her onii-sama.
>on left
Hardcore heiress of top mage family running a political scheme.
Explain further
That's gay.
Left is just when she's not having fun.
None of you fatefags are bothered by the hilarious proportions of the right version?
>forced her to nonstop eat mashed potatoes, just like King Arthur did.
Fucking Gawain. His terrible cooking lives beyond the grave.
She literally can't.
they have a door to the age of god that scared the fuck out of Gordolf
>eat mashed potatoes, just like King Arthur did
Imagine writing a story about heroes of the past from all over the world, with autistic amounts of attention paid to minor details like their RPG stats and skill names, only to be a complete fuckup at basic history and geography.
Those nutjobs took the whole "create a 100% vessel for King Arthur" thing really seriously.
>This OP is so fitting that I would not mind to have a "starting the case: Contract of Atlas" and a "starting the case: Grand Roll".
It feels like an opening of a British crime procedural show
If it follows the Fate route, 100% is impossible since Saber will never be summoned in that timeline again.
Yeah because the actual Arthurian stories with blatant Late Middle Ages stuff like saracens and actual catholicism is totally historically and geographically.
hmmm
Accurate I mean.
if she gets recorded by the Throne even during the heat death of the universe, that's enough
They could have been magic potatoes as far we know. King Arthur is not actual history so who cares.
Apparently, Altria isn't in the throne. Maybe the Lancer versions can be summoned, but they don't seem to be part of Panhistory since it's probably unlikely.
Chaldea summons her in their timeline as a HS
She's not a Heroic Spirit. Her profile says as much.
>Fate Route
Q: In the Saber route, Saber terminated her contract with the World by breaking the Grail by her own will, but in the end, wouldn't a hero of the caliber of King Arthur end up being removed from the cycle of transmigration as a Heroic Spirit after death?
A: King Arthur's goin' to Avalon.
Among the English, King Arthur's still a person of the present. After all, she's the "future King who will be back"
>UBW Route
Q: Even in Rin’s route, Saber voluntarily destroyed the Holy Grail. Did this time also break her contract with the World, and make it impossible for her to exist as a Heroic Spirit?
A: It was a flawed Grail, so you could say it was halfway done. Since Saber reconsidered her life and found her own path... this time, perhaps she could become a Heroic Spirit on her own.
>perhaps
Impossible, Saber never "dies", she goes to Avalon, so she never gets recorded in the Throne and so isn't a Heroic Spirit. She only is summoned as a servant in 4th and 5th because of some alaya/counter force bullshit, I don't remember that part well.
????? How does her destrying the grail changes anything, the Grail is only a mean to reach the Throne through Third Magic, it has no impact itself and I don't think you can choose no to go to Avalon.
Saber's quantum locked. If she stops being a Servant, she'll return to the hill where she'll hand Excalibur off to Bedivere in order to return it to the Lady of the Lake. From there, she goes go Avalon. The only actual way she can become a Heroic Spirit is by achieving her initial goal of redoing the Selection of the King. However, she won't be a proper Heroic Spirit in that scenario, just a Counter Guardian.
So yeah, fgotards, how does she get summoned in the game?
I thought that just the destruction of Camelot was time locked. Within that I thought there could be leeway.
I still can't believe FGO is officially Yea Forums material. We have come a long way, my fellow bros
What's locked is Saber herself. Saber became a Servant by making a pact with the world. She's not in the Throne, but rather her living self is effectively Rayshifted into points in the timeline in which Saber will have an opportunity to obtain the Holy Grail. Once she obtains the Grail and gets her wish, her contract states that she'll become an eternal guardian for the world, essentially a Counter Guardian. On the other hand, if she breaks the contract of her own accord, she'll return to her original position on the hill and from thereon will go to Avalon.
>Impossible, Saber never "dies", she goes to Avalon
It's pretty clear that she dies at the end of the Fate route after asking the knight to throw her sword in the lake.
Yeah, remember when Type Moon was a good studio and Nasu a interesting writer? Remember when they made other things than Fate/Shit Something
Grape. Tape. Nape. Rape.
Rape me.
Rape for (You)
She goes to Avalon after that. Strictly speaking, she's considered to be "alive", but she exists on the reverse side of the world until the day the world needs her once more.
She falls into the same category as Scathach.
Qutation marks were here for a reason, stupid user.
I'm sure this will piss you off, but the Camelot, Babylon, and Solomon chapters are better written that half of Tsukihime.
When something truly dies in the Nasuverse, its soul goes back to the Root. Saber's goes to Avalon, so according to the world's rules she never dies.
Not that I expect a fgotard to know about this.
Yeah, I'm sure you read Tsukihime, retard.
She just shows up in the gacha summons. No further explanations given since vanilla Seiba has had literally 0 screen time outside of appearing in a swimsuit and appearing in the F/Z event.
Truly, Nasu's masterpiece.
Any route in which Saber doesn't go to Avalon seems to be outside of Panhistory. So I guess even Heaven's Feel Saber goes to Avalon somehow.
The fuck's a panhistory ?
At least they're not eating fucking potatoes. That's like people eating bread in ancient Japan. The Christian additions to Arthurian mythology were made for the sake of propaganda, but the potato stuff is clearly just Nasu being incompetent.
>Properly speaking, she is an Heroic Spirit that should not be able to become a Servant, instead manifesting as a special kind of Guardian
I think that's all that's been said on it.
And the Plus Disc, and KT. The Near Side of Tsukihime has terrible romance, half of which is maybe excused because Arc is naive on it, Shiki is an incredibly boring character in it that has little relevance to the plot other than saving Arc from Jobber Chaos and Roa, the two routes have little to differentiate them, Ciel suffers greatly for this as a character, and Shiki freaking out is really the influence of SHIKI most of the time so most of his interesting moments aren't from him except fighting Chaos. I harp on the coolness because otherwise he is an incredibly passive character until the Far Side that undergoes very little change. Also the Far Side has an incredibly rushed and, in my opinion, unsatisfying ending in Kohaku's route.
There, did I prove I read it or are you just going to say something like "fgotard has shit taste"?
Main set of timelines in the Fate world line with an emphasis on human progress. Any timeline in which humanity stagnates forever or goes extinct is purged. Fate world line favors humanity, so if something happens that irreversibly fucks up humanity, it's set for getting purged.
The range which alternate timelines are allowed to be deviated from "The true median" before Alaya and Gaia stop supplying mana and in turn cut them off in order to keep the observational duties of both forces within a scope of effort.
Absolutely sounds like a newfag trying to prove he has been around for a long time by dropping meme he saw in his two months of lurking.
But yeah, sure Babylonia was better, Taiga sure was peak writing.
So even ORT and TYPES aren't even canon anymore. Sure love fgo.
>Oh man, the joke character is the standard of all writing.
Tell me about Neko-Arc's excellence.
ORT and TYPEs exist. ORT is even going to appear in FGO (supposedly). But that's irrelevant. The panhistory of the Earth has nothing to do with the rest of the universe. Each planet has its own set of rules.
Also, this is just the Fate world line. The Tsukihime world line also has its own rules distinct from Fate.
The "Tsukihime" trunk of timelines is different than the "Fate" trunk of timelines.
If we want to call CP canon, then consider the cafe to have a super version of Kaleido.
Taiga was a fun joke character yeah. But whatever, obviously you'll keep creating your own narrative in your head that the old thing is without flaws, or you'll pull out some buzzword like "soul" or something., and that the new thing is without any merit. "He must not have read it." and "He must be a pretending newfag." all point to you trying to make yourself superior and have nothing in common with people who have read your sacred text. As if by reading it they gain the same opinion as you. Also the Gil in Babylon was a good character and one of the highlights.
Tsukihime: SOUL
Fate: SOULLESS
Will Nasu ever clarify what the "Beast of Alaya" is?
>Neko Ark is an actual character that does thing in the story
Yeah, so you didn't read it.
>Will Nasu ever clarity
stopped reading here
I'm a different person entirely calling out your bullshit.
Which you still can't defend.
Bur ORT only came because Gaia called it there to wipe out humanity and, according to Notes, it does. And no one has ny mean to stop it. SF comfirmed it's there even in Fate timelines. How can it then play a role in FGO and how is it not prune worthy?
Still better than FGO by miles.
Camelot is just running around the desert for a bulk of the game while Lion King is trying to copy what Dust of Osiris was trying to do. Babylon on Gil's side is not bad but shit got ruined when they tried to make the goddess a dindu like how Quetz just want to make the men practice wrestling And Solomon is overrated, it's just a montage of LOOK IT'S THE FRIENDS YOU MADE ALONG THE WAY TURNING UP FOR LIKE A FEW LINES. And it's hard to give much shit about Solomon when a huge chunk of the game, joke events in particular, are often filled with LOL ROMAN IS SUCH A LOSER KIMOI IDOL OTAKU jabs. Then suddenly it's like oh no my bromani, you were so precious to us, we totally valued you all along! They tried to retroactively fix that with EoRs and David's interlude but its too late.
Nah, fuck that, if you seriously consider those better than tsukihime (and I'm not even saying tsukihime is a masterpiece), then yes, fgotard has shit taste.
Babylon alone being decent doesn't make up for 80% of FGO being shit. At the end of the day, despite the shitty bits in tsukihime, it's still far far ahead of FGO in terms of writing quality.
I'm also a different poster and I'm calling you out on your bullshit for comparing taiga against neko-arc.
> the old thing is without flaws,
Show one post where I said this. Do it, faggot, find it and then show it to me.
That's what I thought.
But let's ignore that it's you who said "fgo is miles better than tsuki shit lol", it fits your narrative after all.
1) Eventually, humanity will reach the point at which it can defeat even TYPEs. This is something that's been stated multiple times. In Nasu's own words, "humanity is almighty".
2) ORT will only begin to act in the event that the planet dies and humanity continues living on its corpse. The world of Notes. is not the absolute future of all timelines. It is merely the end of one timeline out of many.
3) There are most likely timelines in which ORT did not arrive on Earth.
4) ORT only explicitly arrives in South America in three specific timelines: The timeline of Tsukihime, the timeline of Fate/strange fake and a Lostbelt in Fate/Grand Order. We don't necessarily know if it exists in each and every timeline.
Fate/strange fake is not, in fact, canon to every story. In fact, Nasu outright stated that it exists in a world line separate from Fate and Tsukihime.
Stuff Takeuchi and Nasu likes: Soul
Stuff they hate:Soulless
Stuff that isn't popular: GOOD
Stuff that is popular: BAD
>this thread
Holy fuck you guys are pathetic.
But Saber and Rin are pretty much as soulless otakubait as it gets.
how does one go the reverse side of the world?
1) Become something that is fundamentally incompatible with the Age of Man, like a dragon or something. You'll get pulled into the reverse side.
2) You have to love Saber a lot and Saber also has to love you a lot and then bullshit happens.
Huh, awfully convenient. But thanks for the informations, user.
>fgotards
>ORT showdown will happen in fgo
What did we do to deserve this?
Nasu gives Narita free reign to do whatever he wants. But on the other hand, it also means that Nasu doesn't really need to incorporate Narita's writings into his own works. Basically, the rules of Nasu is "You do what you want and I'll do what I want." The only exception is when that writer is writing for something that falls under the banner of "Nasu's world". At that point, he becomes more strict.
Nasu hates everything he worked on in the past when TM was a doujin company.
>Narita delayed SF for Babylonia so he could watch how Nasu wrote Enkidu to make sure he followed the right characterization in how he handled the character
>It was Kingu using Enkidu's body so the only glimpses were actually in his my room lines.
How does Waver afford such an expensive car if he's broke and in debt? Or does the car belong to the El Melloi family which is also supposedly broke and in debt?
Narita is kinda cute in terms of how earnest he is, but he goes too far. Nasu keeps saying "Dude, do whatever you want. I believe in my heart that anything you create will be a masterpiece." And Narita's like "NO I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT MY STORY PERFECTLY ALIGNS WITH YOUR WORLD". And Nasu's like "If that's your goal, you already screwed up from the first volume." And Narita's like "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" and then he fell into a coma for a few months.
Nasu, in an attempt to make Narita feel better, said that "It still fits. There are many world lines, so just because it doesn't fit into either of my established world lines doesn't make it any less legitimate." And Narita's like "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" and then he fell into a coma for a few months.
[citation needed]
It doesnt make sense for them to be in debt in the first place. Its not like Kayneth took out a ton of loans or anything. Unless he was forced to do so to get lancer's catalyst at the last minute, but thats not mentioned or implied and he still had the money to rent several floors of a hotel during the war.
Even if their relatives stole their shit, thats not debt, thats just losing assets like the silverware.
It seems like a badly written plot device.
>Nasu pls I just want to make a story that could fit as a sequel to Stay Night, even if it's only a what if timeline
>"No."
The behind the scenes stuff for Type Moon is honestly really hilarious.
Nasu and Takeuchi's friendship into founding Type Moon reads like an Otome route.
I'm fairly certain that Nasu's just high school friends with Butcher.
There's the rumor that Takeuchi fashioned Saber after a college crush.
Case Files is the result of a fucking DnD game.
>no tsuki remake
>no mahoyo 2&3
>no ddd3
>keep "working" on a literal money printing machine with subpar story and whose most fleshed characters don't have half the characterization of a side character of any the aforementionned works
.
The "27 DAA don't exist in world lines where the FATE summoning system works" was released after Strange Fake 1, Nasu just loves fucking Narita over after the fact, see Edison. It's why Narita took such a long break from writing FSF, because he didn't want to get Edison'd again but now they took Asclepius and fucked him even harder.
It's not a crippling debt, look at Reine's lifestyle. They just lost all their cool shit (artifacts, art, land) from the extended family sacking it up and Waver is charged with paying for it.
Nasu has already said that he's done with FGO after Part 2 and he and his buddy Hackeuchi are the worst part about the game because you can really feel the lack of enthusiasm whenever they're involved
>but now they took Asclepius and fucked him even harder.
wait, since when is asclepius in SF?
It's largely because Nasu doesn't really tell him things.
Nasu is a hack. The Tsukihime/Fate split is the gayest shit.
unless the translation was wrong, the case files has Reine specifically say they were in debt for an amount equivelent to a hollywood blockbuster. So thats several millions at the very least.
To be fair, there was no evidence that they were in the same world to begin with. Kaleidoscope was always a thing, since Tsukihime.
new
He was a bit character in a flashback, with an entirely different look recently coming out in F/GO. I think during Hippolyta's backstory? I'm not caught up on it at all.
But, for the thread. Can anyone correct me if we have more information about the third HGW than this:
Saber: Edelfelt family. Two sisters summon the same servant, but two minorly divergent variants of it.
Lancer: Confirmed Fionn Maccool, used by Darnic and the Nazis.
Assassin: Midget hassan whose Zanbaya is making people's heads explode by grabbing them with both hands.
"Berserker": Einsberns mess with their summoning ritual and summon either Angra or Amakusa, based on the timeline.
Archer, Rider, Caster: Mystery
Hollywood blockbuster is $150 million to $250 million these days. Still that should be chump change for a good mage if they can turn lead into gold or crack some Bitcoin private keys.
wonder what her daily routine is like.
>wake up, eat expensive english breakfast
>decide whether to go bother waver today
>magic studies
>expensive english lunch
>magic studies
>magic circuit tuning
>expensive english dinner
>family politics
>decide whether to call waver to interrupt him playing video games
>masturbate to the thought of raping waver while he's tied up
>bed
>He was a bit character in a flashback, with an entirely different look recently coming out in F/GO. I think during Hippolyta's backstory? I'm not caught up on it at all.
I must have forgotten already, did he get an illustration in the novel?
>Saber: Edelfelt family. Two sisters summon the same servant, but two minorly divergent variants of it.
It might've been twins in a single servant container, it's unclear
>Lancer: Confirmed Fionn Maccool, used by Darnic and the Nazis.
at least in Apocrypha, unclear if otherwise
>Assassin: Midget hassan whose Zanbaya is making people's heads explode by grabbing them with both hands.
Making their heads explode by turning their brains into gunpower. You'd think that turning their brains into gunpower would be enough to kill them but whatever.
Yes. He was basically a dark-skinned shota.
And in f/go he's an albino twink.
it could be from the Clock Tower company 'car pool' y'know.
MJ is a servant?
It's that old adage: if you owe the bank a million dollars it's your problem, if you owe the bank two hundred million (the aforementioned "Hollywood blockbuster" amount) it's their problem
But Zelretch was there to observe the world of Strange Fake, doesn't that mean Strange Fake is canon? I remember reading somewhere that even though there're many timelines, the one that Zelretch chooses to observe instantly collapses into being the main timeline.
