Code Geass Akito Thingy had an actual mecha fight in Slonim, which is a town in Belarus, but they've replaced the Lenin statue with Charles and people on the local newspaper got mad. The town was recreated decently although some belarussian words were botched (pic related should say "Мiлiцыя" for example).
