I might be insane but without all this master-slave deus ex machina bullshit this would've been a good story. Like I felt this guy before he became a vampire, losing his wife and all shit he has went through in order to be able just to defeat lesser ghouls then just to be crushed by main antagonist with ease. Why even bother in the first place then? I would rather watch him declare war against vampires and gradually become more powerful with each chapter and then we could reach a point where he would consider giving up his humanity and become vampire by capturing one of them and that would feel justified. Instead he is saved by pure accident and that moment I stopped feeling for him. Dunno, maybe that's just me. Now this is feels like reverse Hellsing to me.
