I'm suspecting some problems with the Olympics committee have arisen and they can't use any reference to in the movie. It would explain why they won't release the fucking old teaser with clear Olympics references that was shown 5 months ago in theatres.

Yeah, I believe it's going to be delayed at this point. The time to promote the movie is running out.
What hurts me is the silence from MAPPA, nobody ever came forward to reassure the fans or update them on the progress, all we ever get are vague "we're working hard!" when animators are guests at overseas cons.

That's my take because I can't think of any other reason why they wouldn't want to release the teaser, logically speaking it's contrary to their interest to not advertise the movie and let more time pass.

Speaking of them, how do the nips react to the none-news? Looking at comments of the official yoi twitter accounts, it's mostly us crying bitterly.

It's been a while since I've lurked for nips' reactions, the ones I follow seem pretty chill by now. Occasionally some of them express their pain for the no-news in silly fanart but that's all.
I wonder if the teaser we'll see one day will be the same nips saw in January.
