Knives turns into an apple tree at the end.
Vash ends up black haired.
And Nicholas dies, of course.

A good time, solid anime that doesn't dissapoint. But since it was a 1 season anime it doesn't get much talk

The anime will start off as pretty comedic and stylish and then will turn progressively into tragedy as you know more about Vash the Stampede. Enjoy!

How much more chapters is the manga after the anime ends?

The anime ending is original. I can't remember exactly how much you would have to backtrack. But I guess if you start Maximum at volume 7 or 8 you might be on the right track. It's been too long. Sorry.

The setting is what drew me to it initially, a bunch of intergalactic colonists just trying to get by off a combination of old-west level technology fashioned together by the colonists themselves, and the rotting husks of their ships which represent the zenith of technology that the human race has fallen from in its bid just to survive..

Rule 63 Grenadier

The first half doesn't really know what it's suppposed to be doing. Then the second half gets kind of good but it feels rushed. If you like talk no justsu, this is the anime for you. A lot of people seems to like it so maybe I just have shit taste though.

just watch it. first episode is probably the best opening to any anime ever. after that it takes a couple of episodes to get going.
by episode 7 or 8 shit really starts picking up.
have a box of tissues ready for episode 17 and also another later episode.

manga: action is hard to follow and while the ending is sweet, it's also kina unsatisfying. but there is way more contetn than the anime.

anime: very charming visuals and the dub is actually great. The ending is original however but I think they did a fine job. just with there was more.

overall: very fucking comfy show with a very charming main trio. The action is good and Vash competently pulls off the goofy badass without being an annoying cunt like most other attempts at this character. The movie is great too.

I prefer the episodic beginning over the one-dimensional Gung-ho Gun of the week that it turns into during the middle.

Same

pretty sure they barely started Maximum when they aired the show, better off just starting from the beginning

Badlands Rumble is also pretty based
