It's over the top to give Senkuu a worthwhile villain. However Tsukasa is a very famous MMA fighter.

Honestly, at the start, he absolutely did. It'll be curious to see if the VA changes with Senku's character redesign between the VERY start, then post-revival, then into the village.

Hell at the start Senku wasn't even the MC and everybody looked like they were young adults instead of teenagers.

According to the story progression, he is ultra smug at the start, possibly due to the immense pain he is in. When he finds the village he becomes more of a bro, still tasteful smug at times.

Still, he sounds like a chuuni with no sense of urgency. Just compare pic related to how they handled it in the anime.
Idk, I guess I just imagined him to be a bit more heartfelt, even in the beggining . Now I totally get where the people who find him obnoxious are coming from.

I haven't seen any episode, yet. I don't know how he sounds like. I don't know 100% either if they're adapting the art based on what it currently is in the manga or how it was portrayed with the changing style. If the latter, yea the VA should be changing his tone for the setting.
