How big is your Anime folder?

I don't download anime
My HD just died, so 0 bytes.
>No Ran->Sem
Happened to me once, I heart is with you
Two folders of 1.65 TB and 1.61 TB
Honestly mostly a waste, should look into cleaning it up and getting external drives
more than that
Downloading anime is such a pain, how can you afford to keep buying HD's when you are a NEET? I find it easier to just stream or buy physical copies since they are more likely to be quicker and not a lot of time.
I have two external HDs, both 2 TB. One is for my backlog, the other is for saving my favorite shows. Back when fansubbers were more prominent I'd frequently save seasonal TV rips until the BD rips came out, but I haven't added anything to my collection in years, besides Monogatari sequels.
I only have one Sakura card captors folder
i delete everything after watching
Hard drives are literally nothing nowadays user, you can get a terabyte for under 40.
You can't complain about price then say you buy physical copies. Hard drive space is cheap as hell right now.
same here, 4 anime each season
oh no wait. i still have my hentai collection thats complete up until 2014-2015 when there was just no good hentai anymore except for maybe 1 or 2 every so often
>459 GB
That's half my hard drive filled up with anime, I didn't even realize.
anime vs hentai
>download hentai
Only 3 TB. In my defense, I only keep series that I've finished.
What is your mom going through your files or something
It's just Price, there's more to it
>Have to torrent the animes that you want
>Waiting for seeds (especially old ones)
>applications for PT's are literally impossible these days
>Subs are terrible these days, fansubbing is dead as it is
>Video player can break
>ISP might send you a letter
>I'm not gonna watch or rewatch half of what I have downloaded
It seems all like a pain, I just wanna hop on and just watch anime, which why over the years I have started streaming anime. I just find it easier, plus some of you guys never upload your old animes, you only download and never seed
Hentai can be really fucking hard to find torrents for, especially the old stuff. If anything, you should prioritize hentai over anime.
>animes
Stopped reading right there, kill yourself retarded newfag.
this. might no longer be the case but hentai was not something i could just find 123. nowadays even hanime probably has everything
>ISP might send you a letter
bros.. is this true...
The only good reason you have is not rewatching anything.
>>ISP might send you a letter
From my experience, ISPs don't seem to give a shit if you torrent anime
They only care if you pirate big name movies and TV shows
why not just use mal or something
I only keep anime that might be hard to get in the future. If it's a popular anime where there'll always be a torrent, I get rid of it for disk space.
Save everything you like. All online content might disappear at any moment
Heard someone torrented Gundam and Made in Abbys and they got a letter, it really depends on your ISP, if it's a big company then there's a high risk but if it's low then you have nothing to worry about.
Why no backup
About 10TBs.
Who cares, they only send you a letter at the request of the licensing company, they don't give a shit what you're downloading and anime companies don't have the resources to do shit. Just call your ISP and tell them you'll switch companies if they send you any more letters and they'll fuck off. They are just trying to scare you, unless you're downloading like 300 Disney films off TPB, you're fine.
500gb, so not very. Only save rarer stuff that's for seeding and anime with nostalgic value, as well as any interesting seasonal series that didn't get watched as they aired.
That is true, but I don't want to be that guy who's gonna battle a multi-million dollar company for some moral reasons
>terabyte for under 40
what? where?
I was spurred into looking but all i've found are 7.99 cases to scam people who don't read the fine print.
Around 3.3 terabytes.
How do you get your folder to look like that user?
How do you make your folders have image icons like that?
How to spot a newfag
You need .ico files you can make them yourself or download a batch of them.
Right click the file > properties > customize > Change icon > Browse > select proper .ico file.
>Jigoku Shoujo
wow, someone other than me watched this anime
Haven't torrented in a while, but do all recent torrents have .iso files?
That's the reason I have 40Gb of raw manga I can't read, just in-case it starts disappearing if I actually bother to learn properly.
>how dare you not know how to do this obscure thing!
Get the stick out of your ass, pal
Thank you
Theres no point in having it inside all the time though
Isn't it hard to find them in the right resolution?
I only keep some series I really like and would like to rewatch at some point. Around 3tb in total.
How the fuck is changing folder icons on a computer 'obscure'? Are you fucking technologically illiterate?
If you use .ico maker it does the job for you. Just make sure the image you put in is a perfect square or very close to it.
animuandomango.blogspot.com has batch you download and use.
Why not? The storage is cheap this days
On the 2% chance that this isn't actually bait, please kill yourself.
Actually, do so anyway.
12TB or so spread over a couple of drives.
how does everyone deal with data integrity over time?
Just replace your drives every 4-6 years if you're that worried about it. Mostly a non-issue though.
No need to get aggressive
I'm more focuses on actually watching anime instead of fiddling around with icons
im more concerned with bit rot.
>I only keep anime that might be hard to get in the future.
That's probably the only truly important thing.
I just checked and there's 0 seeds for any torrent of Robot Anime right now so if I didn't already have it I'd have to deal with some shit streaming site to rewatch it.
Even the comparatively popular Tesagure barely has any seeds right now.
>no Gundam whatsoever
Pleb.
I store my data on a NAS with RAID6 and some protection options, which essentially boil down to mdadm doing a monthly RAID resync to prevent bit rot. My favorite anime and other important files are also mirrored to a separate archive HDD.
you never know when your internet might go out user
Name 10 of these hentai
>putting a hold on everything else and watching hundreds of hours of the same series
Not OP but watching 0079 would probably be enough, and he could go from there if he really got into it.
He seems like more of a moe guy anyway, and I'm pretty sure there's a rule or something against watching moe and mecha at the same time.
Gundam is not that good of a series anyway, it essentially the same story with different characters with the same autistic (literally autistic based on the creator) character. Here's how to watch Gundam
0079 Compilation movies > Gundam Zeta compilation movies > Char's counterattack > Unicorn (OVA)
and you're done, it's not that deep of series as people make it out to be
6TB
554GB anime
70GB manga
I try not to keep too much stuff but sometimes I feel like as soon as I delete something I'll want to watch it again.
>want to
But that's the thing, you are literally putting yourself on a leash on purpose you know you won't, it's just your brain coming up with a lame excuse
ISPs will never send you a letter for downloading. There's a million other people doing the same shit and if they even pretended to care they'd need to hire a thousand people just to sort through the data.
They WILL get on you for uploading significant amounts, because stopping seeders effectively stops a hundred times as many leeches with way less effort.
0079 compilation movies are shit. Zeta compilation movies aren't even the same story. Just because something isn't poorly edited movies or a 6 episode OVA doesn't mean it isn't worth watching. But I guess I can't expect much from someone that probably only watches 13 episode long series. You've killed any semblance of an attention span that you might have had at one point.
About 1.5 tb.
Apparently To Love-Ru is the biggest thing I have, kek.
Should have used RAID
seething oldfag
500GB i wish i could afford more storage but im poor asf and it's $$ here unlike usa
Although im glad i don't torrent, i fucking hate torrenting, i just download everytthing from mega
Mine's about 3.5tb. I don't keep everything I've watched, though, just stuff I liked enough to consider re-watching.
>ISPs will never send you a letter for downloading
I don't know where you got that from but this is literally not true, how to you think they get people for downloading illegal porn?
>There's a million other people doing the same shit
All the more reason why they go after them
>if they even pretended to care they'd need to hire a thousand people just to sort through the data.
No they don't user. Like I said, how do you think they get people downloading illegal porn
Everything you just said is false information, all made up
Also I know someone pretty close who only downloads and never seed and still get a letter, while they do go after seeders leechers tend to get it, especially if they download RAW.
>not wanting a flawless fap
Was too poor for a back up drive
Similar size as OP's, my 8tb drive will be full pretty soon. A good amount of that is /t/'s anime by the decade folders though
Around 4 TB.
ZFS is your friend, user.
RAID is not a backup.
I just started after I got a hard drive big enough a few months ago so I have around 3 or 4 TB of anime I think. I have it setup to Plex though because I can't sit at my computer and watch anime without getting distracted by something on another monitor.
Where is boku no pico?
I have 40 terabytes of anime on multiple drives
I only save good stuff. Less than 100GB
/wsr/ sucks y'all
I have a request for an anime recommendation.
I want something new (modern animation), with darker themes but borderline ecchi appeal.
Bonus points for sci-fi, fantasy, or paranormal.
I have 27tb right now. Looking to get more 10tb drives when they go on sale. All running off a plex server. Also thanks to one of you faggots i finally got a good batch of saint seiya. The sole reason i even started archiving this shit was because it got lost in the megaupload purge. Feelsgoodman.
>/wsr/ sucks y'all
only as of recently, people realized there are no janitors there so they shitpost to their hearts content
got any recommendations for good setups? I have an old mobo/ CPU/ RAM that I could just toss in a box
i also dont fully trust the subjective opinions of people for content outside the parent channel, tbqh
>7TB of anime
That is autism for sure. I keep my stuff under 2TB, I erase things that aren't really good. I can see a lot of crap in your folders.
good point, each board should have a designated "questions" or some informative sticky in place of one
Depends on your use case. I was using an old thinkpad before. The above pic i just purchased for cheap off ebay and has a low wattage mobile cpu (15watt max load). I encode all my videos down to 4MBs using pic related so my server cpu doesnt need to be able to handle the encode. What do you want to use it for?
>anime folder
1.93 TB. 287 series (all the series offshoots/multiple seasons are all inside 1 series folder)
>h-anime folder
277 GB. 300 H-Series(sequels/offshoots are all in 1 series folder)
>h-manga
~2000 archives worth ~42 GB (compressed/downscaled to 1280p webp format to save space)
This HDD is almost full so, I bought a new 6TB HDD for $100 few weeks ago.
About 200 gigs of anime
I have a remote 2TB server that i'm using for streaming, but want a home one to avoid quality/lag while streaming, as well as act as a larger backup for the server
For me? It's open media vault.
Finally someone that isn't a dumb normalfag
>1 show or a few short ones
Or like 40 supercompressed shows as mp4s I guess
Alright, my bad. It's 242GB not less than 100GB.
If its just for home literally anything will do. It gets a bit more complicated if you want to stream outside your home. Just put those shitter parts into a box maybe slap some usb drives or get pci to sata adapters and youre good to go.
At least a gtx 1070 and decent processor for upscaling and processing in madVR is preferable. If you aren't some sort of dirty videophile anything is fine
17 terabytes in external hard drives (actually 35 terabytes but I have duplicates of drives). I'm actually going to buy some more hard drives tomorrow since I have a few terabytes of stuff that isn't backed up, and I probably another terabyte of backlog to download.
Oh shit someone else actually does this. Most of it is obscure shit so I wouldn't be surprised if some of it isn't available anymore. Its not a complete waste of space though, I don't need to know Japanese to enjoy tits.
Not spoonfeeding you, newfag.
1.7 TB, but I also only save the shows I finish or pick up. I don't really know why I save everything it is just nice to collect something and storage is dirt cheap.
It also helps that all my downloading is handled through a NAS so my downloading and storing is completely disconnected from my main desktop.
>They only care if you pirate (((big nose))) movies and TV shows
ftfy
>Yea Forums doesn't like MAL because dick measuring contest
>'how meny animes you have?' dick measuring thread
that's just Yea Forums, many people here vent about hating MAL, Reddit and streaming while browsing them. It's just a way of culture not thinking, Yea Forums is not your cult as much as newcomers want to make it out to be. It's a place a bunch of people try to talk about anime and hobby's, just don't Yea Forums your RSS feed by talking about other website is all.
