What did he mean by this? And will Aoi die again this time? Episode 110: 哀の苛立ち – Ai no Iradachi (The Annnoyance of Sympathy) Ai has discovered Akira and Blue Maiden in the network. In order to seize control of SOL Technologies' system, he challenges the two of them to a Duel. The Zaizen siblings protect each other and fend off Ai's attacks. With their minds as one, the two of them launch a counterattack against Ai.
>Aoi dying again I don't think so because that'd mean the cast would be male only for the rest of the arc and it hasn't happened in Vrains so far. (At least not for much long)
Jayden Hill
>George Gore So that's his name. Funny how they shortened it to The Gore for the English dub.
Kevin Adams
Silly user you should know by now, Aoi is immortal
The lost children were the most charming thing of this era. I wish they focused more on it, like trying to overcome their trauma (in the present) and settle their lives. Yusaku did quite a good job but the rest were scrapped like Takeru having overcame his trauma in a flashback just like it's nothing and Specter being happy as Revolver's side quick. Not to say the other ones are never showing up again.
>the others are never showing up again Miyu appears next week and may be in present-time Jin still has a chance and Windy's kid is still dead
Carson Taylor
>Jin is coming back He lost his memories/trauma after getting his 1 lp stolen by Lightning. He is just a normal guy and probably also lost all the skill on duel monsters he earned from dueling to survive during the lost incident.
Camden Adams
>What did he mean by this? Simple, that he's weak at dueling. He's just been lucky at drawing his situational garbage outs.
Jacob Jones
What's there to be excited for really? Is she going to drop another ring down the drain?
I'd say typical ygo anime. Maybe give it a shot if you like 5Ds.
Bentley Brown
>same YGO animu shit or anything stand out? Well it is about the same. No casual filler anymore though. >but somehow more predictable This is wrong though. Not that being wild and unpredictable is actually good on its own.
So how come they felt the need to write Specter out of the show?
Alexander Johnson
No.
Lucas Smith
I know its not the best card ever, but I love this guy. Minor monsters need more love.
Aaron Green
His VA is busy with other non anime work. At least, that's what one poster said. It's not like he was very important anyway.
Josiah Torres
Great to watch a lot of Eps at once.
Colton Allen
Why did they pick such a silly name to make a plot point
Alexander Jones
Sporadically entertaining. Pretty disappointing on the whole. The duels with the MC are pretty entertaining if nothing else, even though he literally never loses
Daniel Foster
When would be a good time to release a new "AAA" kind of ygo game? Lotd feels like an incomplete game.
Disappointing Wrong fucko Doesn't this show start of in High school tho? >This is wrong though. Not that being wild and unpredictable is actually good on its own. Duels at least entertaining? More or less disappointing than ARC-V? Cause ARC-V ended up pretty goddamn disappointing, much as I love it.
Don't hear what say VRAINS was bad since the start, AND is still airing. Nothing to expect except the wish of JUST END THIS SHIT ALREADY and for that you should stay away to keep your sanity checked
Hudson Jackson
That's like your oppinion, bro. A lot of people really enjoy VRAINS. Especially when watching a bunch of episodes at once. It's slow, I'll give you that but by no means bad.
but that's not translation, that's using shitty made up names.
Juan Martinez
As much as I would like getting a proper Yugioh game again I don't think that's happening anytime soon. Handhelds are dead and making a proper Yugioh game for the Switch would mean to actually put effort something Nu Konami isn't interested in doing. And let's not forget Duel Links prints money like crazy so the only proper Yugioh game you'll get is updates of Legacy Of The Duelist. I still have hope though, hope that if Konami doesn't want to make a game for consoles anymore they'll at least do a new Yugioh game for mobile. Is annoying how developers have phones that are equally if not stronger than a PSVITA and still refuse to make proper games with no microtransactions. One day, one day
I'm pretty sure despite the filename that's just the US version of Tag Force 4.
Zachary Phillips
>shitty made up names All names are made up user. If you are making the game in english, use the english names it's just common sense. If you love the japanese names so much play the japanese version
Gavin Moore
>Fur Hire
Ryder Thompson
>Toadally Awesome absolutely riveting stuff
Ryder Hughes
Do you like character driven stories? Yes? Skip Vrains. Do you like plot driven stories? Yes? Watch Vrains. It's that fucking simple.
Jayden Scott
I non-ironically love the name changes that Konami has done so far with few exceptions such as that autismo hamster
>hamster I'm not familiar with the TCG, what is this referring to?
Gavin Brooks
People for some reason get pissed at the concept that YGOrg's translations aren't gospel and so when the official english version comes along with a different name they flip their shit. Non-ironically Fur Hire > Sky-fang Brigade Sky Striker > Sentouki/Brandish Maiden Toadally Awesome > "Treatoad"
>This card received its name by Jerome McHale repeatedly shouting "Super-Nimble Mega Hamster" repeatedly until everyone agreed, as stated in a Pojo post of his.
They should directly translate the character names.
Isaiah Davis
I disagree
Hunter Davis
I don't have autism so I don't really care.
Charles Hill
None of the English name changes ever bothered me aside for Osiris -> Slifer. Who the hell thought it's a good idea to change the name of an Egyptian God to some random executive producer?
Bentley Butler
It's not like I have anything against translations but some can't even be considered "translation" consideration they straight up rewrite names like with Sky Striker. How hard could it be to keep consistency with the originals without having to resort to that ever asinine localization habit of either PUNS, or inconsistent rewriting of names to suit the individual criteria/taste of the """translator""". Many cards/archetypes still straight up retain Japanese names/terminology in a completely untranslated form (i.e. Mayakashi among others) so it just makes me think it's one or two goon squads going at it with the shitty localization every once in a while.
Caleb Carter
Yusaku should be Gameworker, Ai should be love, Aoi should be Blue, Emma should be Emma, Go should be Man.
Benjamin Sanchez
That begs the question; why aren't we using the localized/dub names of the anime characters in the threads?
Austin White
An Obelisk isn't a God either. It's just a big fucking dick shaped rock. Are the Egyptian God cards actual gods themselves or just like the servants of actual Gods?
Because these threads focus on the currently airing Japanese version of VRAINS and all the subs refer to the characters by their Japanese names. If they started with subbing George Gore instead of Go Onizuka I imagine we would be calling him George
Ryan Wright
>Osiris the Heavenly Dragon >Slifer the Sky Dragon They really neutered that one
Lucas Sullivan
People do. I'm not fond of the dub names, but I've always found it fun that different people in the same conversation switch between Joey, Jou, Jounouchi etc and it's all good because we know who it is anyway.
Isaac Carter
Vrains ain't worth watching imo. It's a huge letdown. Worst cast of ygo characters I've seen yet.
Logan Hall
>it only counts when it’s convenient for me Sure thing bub
That's one way to view what I posted. I believe that in a translation featuring characters that already have localized names in that language, they should use that localization. The subs for VRAINS do not use that localization for the characters as they went like 60 episodes without them so it would be weird to swap them out. These threads focus on the newest Japanese episodes of VRAINS with the non-localized names in the translations. If there was a new Tag Force game I would expect Yuzu to be translated as Zuzu. This doesn't mean I didn't call her Yuzu when ARC-V was airing because that was what the topic of the thread called her.
Colton Sanders
Kite was fucking great. I keep going back to watch clips of him Xyz summoning and get hyped as fuck each time
>Kazuki Takahashi worked on DM, GX, 5D's and Zexal. They may have rocky parts but overall are great. Takahashi wasn't involved in VRAINS or ARC-V and they are shit. Really makes you think
Flat grape soda mixed with glowstick fluid and trace quantities of opioids.
Ayden Campbell
What if this spin off had taken up instead of the cardgame. Do you think it'd be still alive 20 years later like the OCG and TCG are? Of course it'd still be managed by Konami.
I don't really like YGOrg's localisations either, when they start to make shit up and pretend its gospel. For example, they renamed Zanki to Processlayers and then threw a shitfit whenever anyone called them Zanki, despite that literally being their name.
Aiden Gutierrez
>Give fan translation of Processlayer Pretty decent >Bosses have the Fire kanji next to what they called "Processlayer" >They call it Pyrocesslayer for the funny pun >They ended up naming the archetype "rocesslayer" because of it >They get mad when people don't use their names They are genuinely a bunch of autists
Mason Rodriguez
Indeed. Had DDM really taken off Konami would definitively have kept on making them even if their profit margin hadn't been as big as that of the cardgame.
Jack Flores
I can't even respect them for Processlayer because all that's going to happen is that people are going to end up even more confused when Konami localises them to fucking Sum Squad or something.
Carter Robinson
>Sum Squad I'm one of the autists that loves the TCG names and I think I would genuinely build them if they were called that because of how fucking stupid it sounds
You'd be mad too if you were trying to commit suicide but everyone keeps failing to kill you. Then again Pandor and Revolver are the only ones that would really do that so he can't die even if he tried. Such is the curse of a dueling AI
Hunter Thomas
The best YGO protagonist.
Jordan Carter
>You'd be mad too if you were trying to commit suicide but everyone keeps failing to kill you. No, revolver was the only one who had anything resembling a suicide type of motive. We don't know what Ai wants by all accounts because they won't explain his exact motive.
i remembered that i didn't watch gx besides a few episodes so i started watching gx, and i fucking hate the brainlet protagonist >lmao who cares about strategy just have luck bro both yusei and yugi were pretty cool but i can't stand this moron, does he get better?
Tyler Sullivan
So how come the plane didn't have an "anti-Ai" program? Revolver created an anti-lightning program for Yusaku's duel disk. He should be able to do the same for Ai.
The first two seasons of GX are slice if life high school drama. The last two is edgy shit. Just start with Season 3, or watch it all dubbed and stoned as shit like I do.
>Just start with Season 3 What's the point of skipping to more than halfway into the series? The last two seasons are meaningless without any of the context behind them. >watch it all dubbed and stoned as shit like I do. Jesus christ.
Grayson Brown
No, she’ll slide one into Aois’ finger, make an honest woman out of her.
Caleb Torres
>What's the point of skipping to more than halfway into the series? The first 100 episodes try to have a serious plot but the main character doesn't really develop in any way other than changing cards. He's just kind of a fun hero who rarely has to take anything seriously. Also a lot of the turns it takes negate any edgy stuff they happen to throw in there for the meantime.
Aaron Murphy
That school must smell like strawberry lotion and sex
Post the most chunni summon chant in the universe.
Dominic Bell
I just finished Bohman v Soulburner and I can't believe I have to watch another fucking Bohman duel before this season is done and I can get to see human Ai
Levi Thompson
>Shillburner vs Bohman I can't think of a less entertaining pair. Flame was pretty alright though.
Caleb Sullivan
Soulburner Vs Bohman was probably one of the only good things of that arc.
Ian Lewis
Bohman definitely wins the trophy of most boring Yugioh villain of all time
ARC-V used to be good but it shat the bed of course
David Long
So you think that way, can't say i'm surprised that you enjoy a bohman duel of fucking everything
Ryder Rivera
Arc-V is bad though.
Brody Kelly
At least he didn't make his boss monsters look like a joke the way Kagemaru did, Judai must've destroyed the Phantom Demons 3 or 4 times in their duel.
Benjamin Perez
I hate Bohman as much as you but you were implying Bohman Vs Playmaker was somehow more enjoyable than Soulburner Vs Bohman which isn't the case
Joshua Harris
Boring
Carson Morgan
Marik goon who used exodia.
Adrian Lee
Exodia popping out of nowhere to BTFO Jono and then Yugi defeating Exodia were tremendously more entertaining than anything connected to Bohman's duels.
Seemed more like an excuse to set up an arc. But I'll keep going. Orichalcos goon who stole the god cards. Seven Star Assassin who used archfiends. That guy who used an antlion deck in 5DS episode 2. Devack.
He may lost his.memory, but he will never lose his honed instinst as a duelist.
Mason Ramirez
It's only accoptable to ise dub names up untill GX using dub names beyond or even watching the dub beyond that should be a crime. What the fuck kind of name is kite?
Juan Carter
Dr. Faker is a tricky kind of guy, giving his son a name like "kite" as a long drawn out trick sounds possible.
Liam Flores
look up which episodes are the recaps, watch those, and then start watching in full at episode 104 or whenever it is that season 3 started you're not missing much from the first 2 seasons if you skip over them and just watch the recaps
Benjamin Howard
A new bee archetype should be produced every generation.
Man I wish Blue-Eyes get more non-Warrior/Spellcaster and more Dragon archetypal support just like Red-Eyes
Liam Harris
Like White Dragon's Chick?
Isaiah Clark
YES and the geminis I don't give a shit about Kisara and the like just give me more dwagins
Aiden Thompson
That looks like a condom.
Thomas Edwards
Realistically though, how can Aoi survive this, shes facing the big bad alongside her brother whose pretty much bathing in death flags. If they are tag dueling doesnt that mean she has to die with him?
Samuel Torres
seems kind of strange to want blue eyes to do the same thing as red eyes.
Lots of plausible ways it could go down. Ai could spare her possibly for Aqua's sake, since she's close to Aqua. Or Aoi could say something like "Aqua wouldn't want you to act like this". Or maybe once he gets Akira's key he doesn't need to absorb anyone any more.
Wyatt Howard
Well maybe she doesn't. Of course there are a couple of things to consider. Ai did enter through Akira's head specifically, and Akira isn't above ejecting people out of dangerous situations.
Jaxson Sanders
Yeah that feels like a stretch, Ai has pretty much already signed aboard the kill em all train at this point, i see no reason for him to have sympathy for aqua's partner now.
asspull, that's what they always do for Aoi to keep her relevant
Ryan Perry
den city is a small town
Bentley Russell
>people expecting for this shitshow written by yoshida to forgive aoi >when even go, emma and bs got trashed episodes after being revived Fap to her doujins, is a better experience
Brayden Bailey
Entering through Akira's head likely means that we're watching a fake Aoi for the next two episodes and the real one is being shielded from her brother's death
Ryder White
I think she'll somehow survive, because of this scene transition in the OP where at first everyone is there, but then only PM, SB, BM, Revolver and hot dog man remain.
>m-muh pattern No seriously stop, for your sake. Yoshida is a hack
Liam Rogers
Isn't Maekawa writing the upcoming two-parter duel episodes though?
Cooper Wright
Is Sol Tech a product of KaibaCorp going bankrupt after Kaiba died during the end of DSOD movie?
Lucas Cruz
Art's nice, but damn that animation really tries to abuse every trick it can.
Robert Perry
Doesn't matter when the main writer is Yoshida. That's how much of a hack he is.
Ryan Wilson
I don't really care if Aoi dies or lives, since if she survives she either becomes a cheerleader or jobs and """"""""dies"""""""" again anyway like all females, but the OP is the only reason why I think she'll live for now.
Easton Stewart
Is it really a patter in the OP is being telegraphed as fuck here. >have everyone in the scene comfortable IRL >smooth transition to them in a destroyed looking Vrains but the only people left are the people that are safe from this arc and Aoi They aren't even trying to hide what happens here
Lucas Parker
It's not the same continuity. Though it wouldn't kill them to connect some of the new ones sometimes.
Pretty sure whenever someone loses a duel in data world, they're at the mercy of the victor rather than taking an instant hit to the brain. They can be spared if the winner isn't an asshole, and Ai very well might do so
>still no YGO isekai where the summoned heroes has their own unique archetypes except for the MC in a world where everything is solved by dueling and governed by OCG rulings (also the cards are the real life versions except for the heroes')
Jaxon Phillips
Yusaku is still due to use his fake irl deck against Aoi.
Yuya is bad at the end of the day but I like the idea behind his character, it was just taken to an autisic level. Plus the whole zarc/berserk mode shit popping up every other episode got annoying
When we get to the Final Boss Duel and it's revealed that everything from Bohman's defeat onwards was planned by him.
Elijah Ramirez
You're not even quoting anyone. He loses in chambers and dreams.
Aiden Carter
Have frens except Vrains for which it was Nothing
Parker Kelly
Ai Love You Go
Ethan Flores
DM - friendship GX - nakama and self reflection 5D's - kizuna Zexal - faith and trust vs no faith Arc-V - forcefully brainwash egao into everyone? Vrains - don't play god or else you'll face the wrath of the socially isolated????
Angel Gonzalez
the lesson of this show is to never be like revulva
Aaron Reed
Can't deny the one for Zexal, so many possibilities where Yuma could have lost Astral completely or have their mutual trust broken.
Aaron Rogers
Zexal basically put personifications of extremes up against each other. That's not all each main character was, but the show did push them pretty far in their mindsets in their showdowns. Like Yuma declaring that if it will cost him his life to save Vector (not just physically, but to save whatever tiny fragment of good might be left within him), then he's willing to face that price.
Kayden Edwards
So why doesn't Pandor have just anti cyberse cards?
Anti decks dont work in VRAINS. Revolver brought an anti-playmaker deck for his duel with PM in ep ~20 or so and lost hard.
Oliver Bennett
Episode 8. But he really only had one explicitly anti cyberse combo and just sort of shifted to other strategies that didn't really work either.
Elijah Harris
None of shitvulva's strategies worked, anti cyberse lost, """""extra link""""" lost, anti judgememt arrows lost, and whatever he's going to use against soulburner and Ai will lose as well
Adrian Hall
It's more like anything that isn't UNGA/OTK/link spam into multiple big bosses doesn't work in vrains, trickstars with their small chip damage fails to win, gouki spam/beatdown aren't UNGA enough so it doesn't win, rokket/topologic/borrel field control never wins, altergeist stun never wins
Gabriel Long
Has anything ended more duels than cyberse clock dragon?
Lincoln Anderson
And the Lancers will take a rocket ship to get to Synchro and Yuya will duel Yugo before Jack and...
James Perry
>Trying to apply Arc-V's opening logic to Vrains's opening No.
Adrian Rodriguez
>lancers who?
Leo Hughes
Decode talker
Elijah Long
she actually wanted to lose so she could free herself
Chase Smith
No. Maybe the same number though.
Julian Jenkins
I'll tell you what duels to watch and give you the megas for the OST because everything else is fucking shit. At least Ai and Pandor makes it somewhat watchable now.
Josiah Bell
>At least Ai and Pandor makes it somewhat watchable now. It's weird because the earlier episodes and monsters are seemingly held in higher regard. Guess we won't know for sure until they poll the favorite duels after the fact.
That's because Season 1 didn't drag out its thin plot threads and duels anywhere near the level S2 took it to.
Ryder Powell
Yeah right because S1 wasnt filled with recaps and the first cour was basically just a bunch really slow link summoning animations.
Andrew Morris
I'd say a good half of it is trying and failing to find out information about hanoi without any particular success on Yusaku's part. It did compensate with backstory I guess.
The whole problem with Vrains is consistency. Yusaku and Revolver in the beginning were pretty entertaining until the first season ended and the only episodes that were worth a damn in the second season was the Go and Lightning duels.
It's a damn shame because this was the perfect time to give the main cast some much needed bonding moments and development that isn't just job, die, revive, and then repeat until the series ends.
>Duels this time are with Virtual Reality in high speed duels on Hoverboard/Skateboard like devices >The show's theme is "一歩を踏み出し、トライしよう!" (Take a step forward, and try!), on the premise of kids should try things out instead of giving up at the first try due to being overwhelmed by information. >Yusaku is a boy who doesn't like standing out, and particularly doesn't stand out at school. However, he gets drawn into encounters with people as he tries out Dueling for once.
>random God card I know you're biased but come on. Osiris being summoned on the Battle City blimp was one of the most astounding things I'd seen. The soundtrack, the way it wraps around the blimp etc. DMG aside, the rest of the ranking makes perfect sense.
Less about consistency, more about character relationships/interaction I think. Playmaker and Revolver having personal beef and past history made their duels interesting to me, plus Revolver tends to go ham a lot in his duels.
Then S2 came along and PM fighting for Jin just felt so...distant? I get he's doing it for Kusanagi but I have zero reason to care about either Jin or Bowman. As it is now with S3, I'm genuinely looking forward to PM vs Ai.
The point is plot important duels and minor plotpoints never overstayed their welcome. e.g. all of Revolver's duels with PM moved at a reasonable pace, and even the 18-20 duel with Akira had a good enough reason for the flashback-filled 19. Nothing dragged nearly as long as Bohman's ongoing conflict. Minor plot threads would generally be done and dusted within 2-3 episodes while the overall plot drags on.
>bonding moments If they aren't fast friends that usually comes down to quickly shrugging off grudges because an enemy forced them to. At least that's what it seems like.
4 of those duels were off-screens just to gimp the knights because they are no longer relevant. (Spectre should have been a harder win for Ai.) Go Onizuka barely lost because he destroyed the wrong card (would have won otherwise). Pandor lost because Ai startled it at the very end by doing something unexpected. Queen lost because her deck fucking sucks.
>Less about consistency >plus Revolver tends to go ham a lot in his duels That's what I meant by consistency because Revolver was constantly entertainment until his redesign killed all of his chunniness completely. If everyone kept their actual personalities they started with it would've been a much better series.
>I get he's doing it for Kusanagi but I have zero reason to care about either Jin or Bowman This proves my point that even without character interaction, something that every series needs, it shows that having a memorable personality is good enough to make a decent series since these two boring shitters offered nothing but being a waste of everyone's damn time.
Leo Carter
Kaiba went from green haired goblin to actual sculpted Adonis and remained pretty consistent character wise, but I get what you mean. Like Chazz seems to be the exception where the rival isn't straight fujobait.
>these two boring shitters offered nothing but being a waste of everyone's damn time. Who cares? Their personalities weren't as important as they were just a segue for yusaku to fight an AI god of sorts.
Blake Rodriguez
Yeah but Kaiba is the second best rival while having one of the most complex character arcs in Yugioh. Everyone else except Manjoume either regressed like shit or their characters stagnated with absolutely no development to be heard of.
Kayden Ross
If Jin could actually speak and Bowman wasn't a jobbing snoozefest who wasted months of time on fucking draws the arcs would've been at least half as good as S1. Even if the plot is shit, it isn't a waste of time in the slightest when the characters in the series that got so much screentime for some strange reason weren't glorified cardboard cutouts.
> Bowman wasn't a jobbing snoozefest who wasted months of time on fucking draws Sounds like revolver >it isn't a waste of time in the slightest when the characters in the series that got so much screentime for some strange reason weren't glorified cardboard cutouts. Soulburner, Blood Shepherd, Windy, Lightning, and Go weren't cardboard cutouts. Bohman also wasn't a cutout half the time.
Asher Edwards
sometimes Japan has good taste
Cameron Anderson
>Loses twice in three episodes in his own arc >Record is an abysmal 1-4-1 and it'll only get worse from here
>Sounds like revolver How? Revolver wasn't a boring ass jobber.
>Bohman also wasn't a cutout half the time I'm not talking about them and why are you defending that bland retard? Also the guys you listed besides Lightning either jobbed to death or forced to wait 20 fucking episodes to duel because every duel has to be two episodes long apparently.
Dominic Nguyen
He would have beaten soulburner if emma had not interfered.
>Revolver wasn't a boring ass jobber. By your definition of "jobber" he probably is. He lost to the protagonist twice and lightning as well. He spent even more time constructing draws and losses than bohman did. >I'm not talking about them and why are you defending that bland retard? Bohman acted crazy during his second duel with Playmaker, tried to put on the god act during his duel with Blue Maiden, and was an asshole during his duel against Soulburner. >Also the guys you listed besides Lightning either jobbed to death or forced to wait 20 fucking episodes to duel Like revolver.
Luke Jackson
I don't even give a fuck about that at this point but Emma definitely ruined any chances of him ever being taken seriously again.
Zachary Perry
What will be the reaction if there's a tournament arc in the last ten episodes?
No you look like a gaudy piece of shit and I hate what you turned into.
Aaron Taylor
No, it's not.
Parker Hughes
Off-Topic, but was the original image the Izuku - Asta one? Or was it something from before?
Isaac Campbell
He literally risked his life just to get a rematch against him.
Ian Cooper
It started out as an robot meme, to show that this is what virgins walk like. Then someone made a parody image that does the complete opposite to show how dumb that meme is. Which spawned a bunch of different versions.
Yeah, it is. He had his battle and he lost and buried his hatred by lending power to Yugi in his battle against Malik. Does it not count if Yugi and Kaiba's battle isn't the last one or something? All that was left for Kaiba after battle city was to explain what was up with his connection to the ancient past. Those sequel movie dredge up something new because they can.
Oliver Jackson
The new ace monster should be a Marincess not based off of crystal heart. Or a Tindangle.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon shines white. You can clearly tell by it's coloring. It's not like black magician is very black either.
Isaiah Fisher
I hope the next writer is lazy and just recycles this premise. It would probably entertain anyone who isn't happy with vrains.
Charles Lewis
I hope you die
Robert Robinson
Fuck off
Eli Howard
not until he dies
Camden Gonzalez
Since they seem to be going through all the shots of the opening quickly I want Soulburner to lose to Roboppi. Then he should either be brain controlled into fighting Revolver or sent somewhere he's hallucinating Revolver and fight him.
They could just recycle a classic anime or jrpg story while changing just enough to avoid copyright issues (plus adjusting the premise to accommodate duelists), and probably at least come out with something middling with little effort. If they don't want to bother spending mental energy on how character interactions would play out, just steal it
Isaac Cooper
They already have unoriginal ideas. VRAINS isn't the first anime for the protagonist to have a super virtual buddy that fights alongside him and have friction with. VRAINS has outright homages just like the other yugioh series. So just stealing things is already something that kind of happens. The only way it could get worse is if they started outright plagiarizing by stealing characters. Plus I'm almost certain NAS and Shuiesha are too ambitious to not have something at least in part original.
>You know realize that is was basically autochess How would a "deck" work in this anyways? It always seem like you get random dices each duel
Brandon Morales
You sound like that Revolver hating autist but just because he acted slightly different like he had multiple personality disorder doesn't mean that dumbshit didn't put everyone to sleep.
Liam Jones
Shines white, and that's clearly in a very dark area. And in DM, animation and art are where they had the most problems probably.
Isaiah James
>During damage calculation, if your "@Ignister" monster was attacked (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; you take no battle damage from that battle. When a card or effect is activated that would inflict damage, while you control an "@Ignister" monster (Quick Effect): Banish this card from your GY, then activate 1 of these effects; >● The damage inflicted by that effect becomes 0. >● Double the damage inflicted by that effect. You can only use 1 "Donyoribo @Ignister" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
To OTK exactly as he did against Pandor? He can reduce an opponent's damage to 0 or double the damage he inflicts.
William Perez
It just makes @ignisters stupidly convenient for their janky plays. It's a defensive handtrap in battle, but also a defensive and offensive graveyard card for effect damage, it's not even consistent within itself.
Kayden Peterson
So you're upset that the villain who has also been a main character all along has good cards?
Nathaniel Nelson
>good I don't know about that. I just think it's weird it's so multi faceted and that it could never be real.
Easton Flores
Anyway we can asspull Aoi as the final boss?
Mason Ramirez
Why would you want that? The final boss has a really good chance of dying for real. That being said, It would be possible to pull almost anyone as the final boss with the right AI enhancement.
Ryder James
technically if the damage inflicted becomes 0, then would revolver take 0 damage as well? since the card doesn't specifically say only you take 0 damage
Kevin Allen
You give an idea, what if Aoi gets mind controlled after losing to Ai?
Aaron Allen
The point would be to stop the draw in general not immediately turn it into a win. Maybe he'll create a card that could do that though.
Ethan Watson
If someone uses Solemn Vow when they have 1LP, do they automatically lose, or do they get 0.5LP?
Landon Davis
>Solemn Vow *Solemn Judgement
Colton Stewart
If the cost can't be paid the card is destroyed. And I don't think half life points are a thing. Of course I could be wrong.
Gavin Bennett
wide
Kevin Anderson
Well then Ai would be just as bad as Revolver. It would mean a rematch between Aoi and Yusaku.
Cooper Anderson
I don't really think they're like the signers. The lost incident is more of a curse.
