That retroactively makes things complicated, how can there be a set number of Pillars? Let's just look back at the time Zenitsu's Master was a Pillar, he was the Thunder Pillar, but when he retired no other Thunder Pillar took the spot, and none of the current Nine (now 7 living ones) were said to be taking the Thunder Pillar spot, even if none of the nine were Thunder Breath users.

Also back in a Volume extra Gotouge showed a slayer can become a Pillar through two methods:

- Kill 50 demons by yourself.
- Kill a Moon (Lower or Upper).

With that you can apply for the position, no Nine Spots was stated in Gotouge's Volume extra explanation.

zen becomes more muscular due to training throughout the story but at the beginning (where the anime is) he's a slim boy. and it wasn't the animation 'cutting corners' because if you look at the scene where the doctor's examining the main three they're all drawn with distinct body types, with zen being the least muscular.

If you think about it, it makes sense for him to ditch them shortly after being discovered by Tanjirou.

The volunteers who do the scans on Sunday said that they choose to work on that schedule each week because it is the official release day for Jump, so they have access to high quality RAWs, but this week Jump got released today on friday due the Marine Day holiday in Japan, so technically high quality RAWs should be available to work with.

They probably have other things going on in their lives. There's no need to rush if they already have a schedule they're comfortable with.

The raws are available, but the scanlators aren't. They'll do their work in a few hours. That's what I meant by "too early".

Nothing has been officially stated, people are just talking back and forth about how it is not ending vs. people who say it is ending.

Although Volume 16 just released, and Gotouge in the author's words just says she is grateful for the Anime to be bringing over new fans to her manga and that she will work hard to make it more exciting, that doesn't sound like someone gearing towards ending a series.

Rui wasn't making new demons from scratch, he was recruiting demons who'd already been created. That's why they had to keep their appearances modified

Current arc does feel like a climax, but it can be end of part 1, nobody really knows. I personally wish for it to be the end, because i don't really like how he draws battles and rather just have non-battle shounen by wani, but manga is really popular and it's unlikely that it will end so soon.

Well the series has been breezing on the top 5 of the ToC for months now, there's no reason to be nervous anymore. Also who in their first official serizalizaion (she only had one-shots before) can land a full adaptation by ufotable right off the gate, she got all the stars aligned.

My guess is Wind will kill Koku in 4 chapters. Everyone will gather and kill Muzan in 8 chapters. We then have 1-2 chapters left for the epilogue so that the series can wrap up with exactly 20 volumes.

Dude, there's a whole publisher creating an enviroment for an author to do their stuff, the author is just one of many, this isn't like a record label where just one performer might be banking the entire success of the given record label.

Authors still earn a regular salary, having that huge of a percentage would be a sureway to forego that salary.
