>next episode previews are for a completely different show that doesn't even exist and that tells a season's worth of story
What anime did this again? I know I watched it but I forgot what it was.
Pop Team Epic
>the eye catch after the commercial break is an full adaptation of all known 19th century literature
>the eyecatch is a unique frame each time and putting them all together it makes an animation
>next episode previews are better than the actual anime
>OP/ED drastically changed for climax episode
examples?
>ED creeps its way into the ending scene
>ED plays over an ending scene
Gundam IBO did that for almost every episode and it was Kino every time.

>Villain suddenly bursts into the intro once his true power is revealed

>There's no OP or ED
>OVA opening is just a normal scene with narration
>OVA ending is a full 3+ minute long song
Kill la Kill comes to mind for the ED, but what other anime does this?
>OP starts playing during the climax instead.
>end credits show the cast's continued adventures
>OP/ED is an alternate take on the characters that you actually want to see
>Episode involves Alternate takes on the characters that you actually want to see
Stop making me want to watch shows that don't exist.
Jojo's bizarre adventure does it for every part with stands. During the final confrontations with the part's main antagonist, they will use their ability to change the song in some way. My favorite example is youtube.com
>end credits show the cast's unseen adventures
this sounds like the premise to a lost episode creepypasta
>That bit where it loops Rohan's porch right at the climax.
I don't think they're ever going to top this unless Pucci fast forwards through the entire op in part 6.
Wait until Valentine switches the characters around and changes the lyrics to their English version

Nothing will ever beat Druaga's OPs.
It's a shame Jojo stopped doing it after part 2. Then again none of the songs they used for the ED's are as perfect for it as Roundabout.

>2nd to last episode has a cliff hanger
>but because the last episode of the real show doesn't have previews we don't know the ending.
WAKATENDAYO
That was neat
Victory Gundam actually did this.
>Space Opera
>ED has all the entire cast scrolling across the screen.
Starting from one side or the other depending on which faction the episode focused on the most.

>OP gives more depth to a character than the whole show itself
I can think of multiple series consistently doing episode endings in unorthodox ways without a real single ED, but the only series without an OP I can think of is Shinsekai Yori.
Brother.
I cry every time.
